Hiei: That's right, listen what the moron said, he actually said something intelligent.

Kaii: You pointy haired bastard! I'm going to rip your eyeballs out and shove them down your fucking throat!!!!!!!

Hiei: Hn. I'd love to see you try.

Chapter 4: Retrieving Lost Items

++++ Reikai Palace ++++

"What do you remember ____________?" Koenma said, thoroughly confused at what was happening between you and the pointy haired demon. He looked from one to the other, waiting impetuously for clarification.

"I am ________ ____________, I am part of the Thao Clan, that's why the light…" The words were interrupted.

"Tengu." Hiei interjected.

"Tengu….hmmm. That's why the Tengu attacked me, all they knew was that a Thao had saved their greatest enemy, they just didn't know which one." As you remembered what happened in the past, the assault made more and more sense. You hung your head, combating the tears that threatened to tumble from ________ eyes. Once the tears were successfully shoved away, you looked up at the young man that had saved your life twice now. As you looked into the scarlet spheres, you saw something flicker there that you had never seen before, `Love? Respect? Pity? He has never shown these things before, I wonder what's changed?' You thought to yourself. While you gazed at him he nodded his head once, and you understood everything, everyone else that was in your clan had been killed because they would not give up your location to the evil sin that threatened to kill you.

"I WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON HERE!!!!! THIS IS MY OFFICE, AND I DEMAND THAT SOMEBODY TELL ME RIGHT THIS VERY INSTANT!!!!!!" Koenma shrieked at you and Hiei, Koenma was not used to being disregarded, especially in his own office.

"Shut-the-fuck-up you pacifier sucking squirt!" You turned and shouted at him, "My entire family is dead, and you want to know about my oh so colorful history? Well you can fuck off and die, because I'm not telling you!" You stormed out of the office without looking back to see the kind of damage you had done. You went left, and walked down the corridor, and out the heavy gold-plated front doors.

++++ Back in Koenma's Office++++

"Listen you arrogant, pacifier sucking drool-bucket, you have no idea what you just did." Hiei's voice was deathly calm.

"Then enlighten me Hiei, just what did I do?" The toddler asked in an I'm-trying-to-be-macho kind of voice, but it failed miserably under the cold, blood-curdling stare that Hiei had placed on him.

"You, just risked your life to bring the attention back to you. You know how there are few that rival me in strength, wit, speed, and skill, all at the same time?" He paused and saw the child beneath him shake, but he nodded all the same. "She would be one of the three or four that can do that. She could have killed you before you could even inhale completely. She is more cutthroat, devious, and precise than I am, and once you piss her off you had better hope you didn't end up on her hit list." He concluded his threat and smirked at the look of absolute horror on the prince's face, then walked out of the office to search for you.

You had somehow managed to find a small courtyard filled with blood-red roses, their sweet, pungent perfume calmed your rage, it was an inexplicable feeling, like you were walking on clouds or something of the sort.

"Kurama has a way with plants, whenever I'm angry at the stupid toddler, I find myself sitting in here too." Hiei's voice sounded behind you, making you turn around and glare at him. He was inspecting a rose, running gentile fingers along the silky, crimson petals. He turned to look at you, he motioned for you to sit, and you did. "It has been a long time, what happened to you?" He asked you as he sat down on the bench beside you.

"I was training, when I fell and passed out, when I woke up, I had no idea where I was. I wandered into a town, and a woman named Lei adopted me….." You finally remembered what you had forgotten.
