Fox Of The Flames chapter 1

It was a warm spring day in Japan, and Urameshi Team, consisting of

Yusuke, Kuwabara, Hiei, and Kurama, had completed yet another mission, a

dangerous one at that. They were faced with a Chinese demon bent on

destruction, and even the powerful Hiei barely got out with his life. To celebrate this difficult victory, the team had set up a picnic in a clearing in the forest, one of the group's favorite spots. Once again, Yusuke and Kuwabara were fighting.

"I DID NOT FART!" Kuwabara yelled, face red in anger. "YES YOU DID! RIGHT AFTER THE DEMON FELL! HAHAHAHA!" Yusuke laughed. "If you do not shut up, I promise I will slash your limbs from the rest of your bodies." Hiei hissed, pointing his sword at Yusuke's nose, but also glaring at Kuwabara. Kurama just sighed and bit into his sandwich. His eyes caught a glimmer of gold flashing through the forest. "Guys, what was that?" he asked. "What?" Hiei said, puzzled. The other three had been so busy fighting that they hadn't seen what the red haired fox spirit had. "Never mind." Kurama sighed, finishing his lunch.

Later on, as the sun began to set, the four packed up their things and got ready to head home. As they were walking out of the forest, Kurama spotted the streak of gold again. He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw what it was. It was a fox. A beautiful one, but not any fox. It was a fox demon that should be in the Makai, but wasn't. And it was female. The fox slowly morphed into a human/fox form.

She was beautiful. Long, golden hair flowed down to her waist, ears with scruffy looking gold fur sat atop her head, piercing silver eyes looked deeply into his own, her golden tail flicking slightly. A creamy colored, worn kimono hung loosely over her shoulders, the sash tied around her waist, the fabric of her kimono coming down just below her knees, and covering her feet were a pair of cream colored Japanese slippers. Kurama felt his breath catch in his throat as she came slowly toward him. "Hey, Kurama, you coming?" Yusuke yelled. "Go on without me!" Kurama answered. "I am Hitsune. Who are you?" the beautiful fox woman asked quietly, leaning closer to the boy. "I-I'm Kurama…" Kurama stuttered.
