“Are we there yet?” Zoë asked as they drove the car to the mall.

“No, sorry almost though” Cailey said as she drove the car to a stop sign and waited for her time to go. She turned and began to drive. Zoë was bouncing around in the back seat waiting to get there she never went shopping before.

“Uh…are we there YET?” Zoë asked as she emphasized on the word yet.

“No” Cailey said. A few seconds passed.

“Are we there now?” Zoë asked.

“No” Cailey said.

“Now?” asked Zoë.

“Zoë! No more, we will get there when we get there and that is that…ok?” Rei finally stepped in.

“Fine, I didn't even do it” Zoë said with a sarcastic tone in her voice.

“We can turn around and go home,” Cailey said.

“No, I am sorry I will stop…I'm sorry” Zoë said as she apologized for her awful behavior.

“Besides, we are here” Rei said. They all got out of the car.

“I want some, clothes, toys, shoes, and more toys,” Zoë said.

“In a little while” Cailey said. “We have to go to dinner first,” Cailey said directing it towards Rei.

“I am broke can…you pay?” Rei began to wine.

“Fine, BUT! If there is a restaurant in this mall then we are going there for dinner” Cailey said with a firm voice.

“Ok!” Rei said. They entered the mall to find a Borders on one side and a place called Lee Nails, they went further to find a Yankee candles store.

“Look!” Zoë said in excitement. She pointed across the way to a K.B.Toys, toy store.

“After dinner ok Zoë” Rei said.

“Ok, I am hungry anyway” Zoë said. They went through the mall in search of a restaurant they could eat at. They came to the only one there, it was a place called Bark Eaters. They all entered.

“Hi, I am Samantha, I will be your hostess tonight. Three?” She said looking at us and then at Zoë.

“Hi, I am Zoë. This is my mommy Rei, and my Aunt Cailey” She giggled.

“Is she adopted?” The hostess asked.

“I am! I am!” Zoë jumped up and down. They followed her to there table and took a seat.

“What can I get you?” Samantha asked.

“I want a chocolate milk, please,” Zoë giggled.

“Can I have a Shirley Temple, Please”? Cailey asked.

“I would like a Gin Straight please” Rei said. “And were is your bathroom”? Rei asked.

“Ok, I will be right back with your drinks and the bathroom is straight and then to your right” She said as she walked off.

“Come on Zoë, let's go to the bathroom” Rei said.

“Ok!” Zoë said.

“What do you guys want…?” Cailey asked puzzled.

“I want…um…hum…PIZZA! Please!” Zoë asked politely, after thinking hard.

“And I will have A New York Strip Steak, and Fries, Thanks” Rei said. They got up from the table and walked off. A few minuets passed.

“Here are your drinks, are you ready to order?” Samantha asked.

“Yeah, Zoë will have pizza, Rei will have A New York Strip Steak, and Fries, and I would like your Taco Salad, please” Cailey asked politely.

“Ok, I will be back shortly, with your order” Samantha said and walked off. As she walked off Rei and Zoë walked back. They took their seats. They sat and talked while they waited for their orders.

“Ok here are your dinners” Samantha said as she set the pizza down in front of Zoë, The Steak by Rei, and the Taco salad by Cailey. They began to eat, after they ate they waited for there check, they got up to pay for it and left into the mall.

“Ok Zoë, We will go into three stores of your choice” Cailey said.

“But what about stuff for my bedroom?” Zoë asked.

“Already taken care of” Cailey said as Rei got wide-eyed, she had never been informed of a surprise.

“Ok, I want to go here” Zoë said as she pointed to Limited Too. They entered the store and 2 hours after they left with 15 new outfits, 3 new pairs of shoes, a purse, a set of sunglasses, and hair accessories. Next they stopped at Claire's, they bought over 1000.00 dollars on jewelry and fake tattoos. There final stop was a hard one, Zoë could not decide the pet shop or toy store.

“Um, If we go to the pet shop can I get something?” she asked.

“No, We have Jazz, remember” Rei said.

“Fine, Then the toy store” Zoë jumped. They went into the store for an hour or so. They bought a GameBoy SP, a Nintendo GameCube, and 15 games for each plus a ton of Barbie Games for Computer. They walked out of the store and headed out the exit. They got into their car and headed home. As they pulled up a moving truck was just leaving.

“That is your surprise Zoë” Cailey said, Zoë burst out of the car and up the stairs. Rei and Cailey walked in as well.

“I made the dining room into your own little room. I put curtains up for doors. Everything in here is Barbie themed.” Cailey said, Zoë came over and gave her a big hug.

“Thank you” Rei said. After Rei put Zoë to bed, she sat down next Cailey, who was watching TV. They sat there and were so proud. Cailey was proud to have made a little girls life seem perfect, and Rei was happy to have Zoë, and to have the freedom she so deserved.
