Giving to Me

The wind blew through the trees, blowing through my hair. I sat in my favorite tree, outside your window. It was a Saturday; you would most likely be outside doing whatever it is you do on Saturday. I was off for the day; I figured I could visit you. You ended up not being home, but you left me a note on your window. It said to wait and you'd be there.

~Giving me calls so I may yearn~

"Hiei!" you called out from under the tree. My heart fluttered in my chest, how I wanted to run my fingers through your red hair.

~Giving me words so I may learn~

You climbed up the tree to rest beside me. Your arm wrapped it's way around my shoulders.

"I love you," you whisper into my ear. I shudder. You're so close.

~And no one knows, oh no no~

No one can see us. No one knows about us. Not that they'd matter. You're all that matters. At least to me, you're all that matters.

~Giving me thoughts that I may keep~

You kiss me on the cheek. I put my arm around your waist. Your other arm encircles me so that I am securely in a tight hug, unable and unwilling to be set free. This is a moment I will treasure for the rest of my life.

~Giving me dreams so I may sleep~

You're all I dream about. Your face lulls me into the only peaceful place I know. You're always there. You're always in my heart.

~And no one knows, oh no no~

They still think me cold hearted, but you know I'm not. You know because I shiver every time you touch me, or whisper those meaningful things in my ears. They think I don't love anyone other than my sister, they are wrong.

~Still all I need is love, so give me more~

"I love you," you whisper again. Your lips brush my ear as you speak those words. My life depends on those words.

"Hn," is all I can say. You know that I love you, I just can't say it. You kiss me quickly on the lips.

~Giving me calm to fall into~

You and I sit there, so serenely. So calmly. This is where I go to be calm, to be content. To be happy. I come for love.

~Giving me hope to guide me through~

"We'll always be together," you purr to me. I believe you. I could never leave. "It is my hope, my dream, and now my reality. I'll always be there at your side, to help you, and to love you. For as long as you want me, I'll be there."

"I'll always want you," I reply.

~And no one knows, oh no no~

~Giving me light to see through tears~

"I'll be there through thick and thin, always and forever. Once you have me there's no turning back. I will be stuck to you. I will heal your wounds, and I will dry your tears," you say.

~Giving me strength to crush my fears~

"I will be your rock. The person you always come back to, the one who loves you. You need never again be alone, for I won't allow it." My heart soars. The only thing I fear is you leaving and you are crushing that fear.

~And no one knows, oh no no~

~Still all I need is love, so give me more~

I turn in your arms and silence you with a kiss. It portrays all the feelings I have ever felt, am feeling. It conveys my want, my love, my need.

~Love won't bring you down, Love won't bring you down anymore~

"I will be there for you," I tell you as we break the kiss. "You don't need to feel your love is unrequited. I will always… love…you."

You kiss me hard and passionate. I feel every fiber in my body sing. My love, our love, will live forever. We will be each other's savior. I am no longer alone.

~Giving me trust so I may seek~

You have always trusted me. I have always trusted you. I can live when I have someone to watch my back. I am complete when I can watch yours.

~Giving me faith so I'll believe~

"I love you," you repeat. You have total faith in me, you know I would never betray you, nor would I leave you. I have faith in you.

~And no one knows, oh no no~

~Giving me breath of your mercy~

Your love is passionate, but you tone it down for me. You know too much will overwhelm me. You only love me sweetly, innocently. Lovingly.

~Giving yourself to comfort me~

You hug me tighter. I rest my head upon your chest. I am comfortable, I am safe, I am home.

~Still all I need is love, so give me more~

I lean up to capture your lips with mine. I need your love. I need more of you. I need you. I need this, what we are. I need the safety. I need the trust. You're my shinning star, my only hope of salvation. You're my knight in shining armor. You are the other half of me. All I need is love, so give me more. I come to the conclusion that you're all I need…

Author's notes: Um, in case anyone got confused with the ending, this was from Hiei's POV. I just love to show the softer side of everyone's favorite half-koorime fire demon.
