Black Wise

The blackness sleeps in solitude,

the wisdom lies in waiting.

The peace once known in calm

no longer holds the crimson rose,

and shadow comes to calling.

Let the rose to tell it all,

the blackness' call does plead,

and far below, in shadow's cry,

the land of snow beneath the trees

lies crimson rose, as blood upon snow gleaming.

The rose no longer speaks the truth,

darkness stolen, free for never,

so blackness pray for light unheard

by crimson rose, forever shaded,

and still the blackness pleads and cries.

Held confined, the rose not live,

may only torment know this soul.

And black forever go its way,

for reason to stay has long ago gone.

The blood on snow for never gone...
