Hakida eyed the surrounding, "What is this place?"

"The human world." Kurama answered.

She sniffed the air; "It stinks."

Hiei smirked, "It does."

Kurama smiled, her senses were more acute. He gazed into the starry sky, he guessed it was about two in the morning.

"Ouch!" Hakida growled, grabbed her tails, and glared at Kuwabara, "My tails! You stepped on them!"

Kurama glanced down at his angry sister, "Oh no! You're still in your Youko form!"

She blushed, "Is that bad?"

"Well… yes… and no. Humans don't know about us; so we have to hide."

She yawned, "I'll stay out of sight, if you'd like. I could hide in the trees."

Yusuke nodded, "Hiei does that, he could watch her when you can't."

Hiei growled at the idea of babysitting Kurama's sister.

"I suppose."

Hakida sniffed, "Something… isn't right…. The air has a smell of… of… stench…rotting."

Yusuke laughed, "No that's Kuwabara, he missed his yearly bath."

"Urameshi!"

Hiei scowled, "It's the demon; I can sense his Ki."

Hakida pounced to a wall and stuck there sideways, her hair falling around her. She sniffed again, crawling closer on the vertical wall. Kurama warned, "Hakida, be careful."

She shrugged, "I smell humans…." She leaned forward sniffing. "Seven to be exact… three female, four male… three are children."

"Children?" Yusuke perked up. "Kurama, you and I will fight the demon. Kuwabara, Hiei, you release the humans."

They nodded and advanced slowly. Hakida tilted her head, "Yusuke, move."

"Why?"

"Just move."

He did and immediately a blast of energy was shot where he was standing. "Wha-!"

Hakida pointed to the top of the building, "Up there."

Yusuke and Kurama looked up to the laughing demon. Kurama jumped on the room easily. "Kurama! How am I supposed to---?" He stopped talking when he realized he was standing beside Kurama, "What the---."

Hakida smiled and jumped from the building helping Hiei and Kuwabara cut the humans loose. Kurama called his rose whip and signaled Yusuke as he wrapped the whip around the demon's feet pulling him toward them. "Shot gun!" within in a few minutes the demon was dead. They jumped from the building to where Hiei, Kuwabara, and Hakida were holding the humans up. Hakida wrinkled her nose disgustedly as she held two of the humans on each of her shoulder; "They smell."

Kuwabara smirked, "That's body odor."

Yusuke smiled, "And you of all people should know; we smell it on you all the time."

"Urameshi!"

Botan appeared between them, "Good job! I'll take these and make sure they get to where they belong, without remembering a thing." She smiled and snapped her fingers as the humans disappeared along with the blue headed ferry girl. Yusuke yawned, "Now home." Yusuke and Kuwabara yawned and went left while Kurama, Hakida, and Hiei went right. Kurama let his green eyes fall on the short Kitsune, "How did you know where he was?"

She pointed to her nose, "Have you been stuck in a human body so long you don't remember our abilities?"

He grimaced and then let out a short laugh; "It just seems that even in my Youko form I can't sense where they are exactly."

She shrugged and stuffed her hands in the pockets of her white outfit. They quickly arrived at Minamino Suuichi's house; Kurama pointed at the window as he walked into the house shutting the door. Hiei pulled her gently and muffled a "Hn." As he jumped to the limb outside Kurama's room. She followed, scrunching on the small branch. "How long have you known my brother?"

"Hn, a while." He jumped through the window as Kurama flung it open.

Hakida followed, pounced on the bed, and scratched behind her ear. Kurama flipped on the light and sat his books down on his desk, "I've just got a few things to do and then we can set up a futon for you."

Hiei stood, "She can have mine."

Kurama raised a brow, surprised at Hiei's offer. "She can?"

"Hn." He smirked at Kurama reaction; "I'm going to Mukuro."

Kurama nodded, "When?"

"Later."

Hakida smiled, "You two don't talk much to each other."

Kurama smiled and pointed at Hiei, "He doesn't talk much, period."

She giggled and sat cross-legged on the bed, "I wouldn't want to distract you from… what is it you have to do?"

"Homework." Kurama smiled as he opened a book.

Hakida glanced at Hiei confused and he offered an explanation, "It's a human thing."

She shrugged and waved her hand, a plant growing from the window, reaching to her with a piece of fruit on the end. She grasped the fruit and sunk in pointed teeth. She waved her other hand and another grew beside Hiei. She swallowed, "Want one?"

He shook his head and she offered it to Kurama, "Want some fruit Kurama?"

"That sounds lovely." The vine grew to him and he plucked the ripe fruit. He turned halfway looking at her, "A seed?"

She shook her head and wiped juice from her lips, "I don't carry seeds."

He raised a brow, "What do you mean?"

"Silly brother!" She licked one of her pointed teeth; "I don't need seeds."

"How can you not?"

"You don't need them." She giggled and bit the fruit again.

"Yes I do." He took a small bite from the plump fruit, juice rolling down his chin. "Hakida! This is delicious!"

She smiled, "Thank you!" She looked at Hiei, "Are you sure you don't want one?" He nodded and she shrugged, "Kurama, you don't need seeds… it's a crutch." She gobbled the rest of the fruit and yawned, "How close are you to getting your next tail?"

"Umm…." He munched on the fruit, "Not very close."

She sighed, "Well still; you should have gotten away from seeds by your fourth tail." She clenched her fist and Kurama's hair moved a little. She opened her hand and a pile of seeds fell from it. She smiled, "Behold, your seeds."

Kurama rummaged through his hair, "How did you take them ALL?"

"A simple little thing. You have great power but don't know all the abilities of it." She smiled, "I left one."

He instinctively went to the spot he kept the rose, "Just one of these?"

"You don't even need that to produce a rose." She waved the seeds back to appear on his desk. She opened her palm and a small rose bud appeared. She blew gently on the rose and it grew into a mini rosebush in her hand. She smiled happily fingering the small bush, "So delicate, so tiny; yet…." She looked out the window, "Hiei, could you catch me a live grasshopper?"

He nodded and soon returned with the hopping critter. "Why?"

"Just watch." She held the grasshopper a few feet from the bush. It immediately reacted, growing, reaching for the small bug in a quick speed. Before their eyes the grasshopper was nothing but legs, the rest being eaten in a few seconds. She sighed. "So deadly… poor thing." She clenched her hand and the bush disappeared.

Kurama's mouth fell open, "How did you---?"

She smiled, "What happened to your human homework?"

He nodded and finished his homework in record time, appearing beside her. "Teach me."

"Slow down!" She giggled, her golden eyes sparkling in amusement. "I'm surprised that you haven't learned this." She licked her lips, "Well, like I said your seeds are just a crutch, you're afraid you can't you can't do anything without them. This would be easier in your Youko from but it should work in your human form too; it'll just hurt a little."

Hiei tensed as he watched the brother and sister. She reached for Kurama's temples, "Now, relax. I'm going to make this easier on you; Inari made me learn all this by myself. But since you're so far behind, I'm sure he wouldn't mind. I'll give you the information but you must practice with it." She smiled and leaned forward, placing her lips on his forehead. Kurama winced in pain, a flood of information rushing into his head. He grunted and let out a small scream of pain, contorting his face. She slowly pulled away looking drained, a painful expression on her face. "That hurts." She winced and rolled her small shoulders. Kurama fell back onto the floor. Hiei rushed to his side to find Kurama smiling, "Hiei! There is so much I could be doing but that I'm not!"

Hiei looked at him confused and then at Hakida, her eyes half closed. This small Youko intrigued him; she had a lot of power and more abilities than he was aware of.

She yawned, "Unfortunately, that little trick hurts the giver more than the receiver. I wouldn't suggest you do it without proper practice and then small amounts of information." Her golden eyes were dim. "I might take you up on that futon now Hiei."

She jumped to the futon resting quietly in between the covers. Hiei helped Kurama to his bed as the Kitsune held his head in a hand, "Oh Hiei, if you knew what I saw; all the information that was shared. I don't need my seeds anymore."

She mumbled, "I said practice. Don't go directly from using seeds to no seeds. It's like an addiction, break yourself slowly."

Kurama nodded, shocked that she wasn't asleep. After a few minutes Hiei spoke in a whispered, "I'm off to Mukuro's… you know how to reach me." He glanced at the sleeping Hakida.

She smirked, "I wouldn't hurt my own brother Hiei."

"Why aren't you asleep?" Kurama yawned.

"I'm a light sleeper; anything wakes me up; but I am sleeping."

Hiei rolled his eyes and left the room as Kurama curled under the covers.
