Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction ❯ Hakida? ❯ Chapter 9
"Hiei… Kurama." Hakida tried to shake her head but found it restrained. "What… what is this?"
A man with blonde hair moved to where she could see him, "You lashed out against the scientists so they had to restrain you." He smiled, stood, and examined the restraints around her. He shook his head, "Those barbarians… these things are way too tight." He looked at her, "If I loosen them, will you promise not to attack?"
She nodded, "I promise."
He took away the head restraint and loosened the others. "Now, what's your name?"
"Hakida."
He raised a brow, "No last name?"
She shook her head, "Youko Hakida."
He raised his brow higher noticing she shifted uncomfortably. "What's wrong?"
She shook what was exposed of her tail; "It hurts."
He smiled, "Well princess, if you promise not to attack I'll let you free."
She nodded furiously, "Of course!"
He smiled and released her. She immediately jumped from the bed, swaying her tails testing, "Your really should be nicer to your prisoners."
He smiled, looking over her; "Well to one's as beautiful as you we should."
She looked at him confused and pounced to the bed, sitting cross-legged, "What is your name?"
"My name is Doctor Takeshi."
She smiled, "Hello Doctor Takeshi. What makes you different from all the others?"
He shrugged, "I figure you must be someone's child; I had a child and I know how it feels to lose one."
She tilted her head, silver strands falling over her golden eyes, "It was a little girl."
He nodded and looked up at her, "You're beautiful, do you know that?"
She blushed, "Inari always told me I was."
Doctor Takeshi looked up, "Inari?"
She nodded, "You know him?"
"I've heard of him." He looked at her wary.
She smiled and pounced from the bed walking around the room, "Inari doesn't show himself much to humans… outside Kitsune's no one hardly ever sees him." She sighed and sat down on the bed, "Why is everything white in this room? It needs color." She waved a hand and all types of plants grew around the room. She smiled, "That's better." She scratched the bud of a flower and it seemed to purr in response, "Why am I being held her Doctor Takeshi?"
His eyes were wide, "You… you did all of this?"
She nodded, "Oh that's right… Kurama told me humans don't know about us…." She sighed, "Humans don't like us."
He shook his head; "We would if we knew what you were."
She smiled and kissed a petal; "Hiei doesn't like humans either." She closed her eyes and swished her tails; "He says they stink and are worthless." She blushed when she noticed the Doctor looking at her intently.
"Tell me more of Hiei. Is he your friend?"
She nodded and blushed, "In over three hundred years I haven't met someone like Hiei."
"Three hundred years?"
She nodded, "That's how old I am… well… over three hundred, Inari knows the exact time… I keep my age by the hundreds."
He smiled, "So Hiei is your lover?"
She blushed, "No, no, no." Her blush deepened and her hand went to her lips. "He doesn't talk much."
The doctor smiled and looked at her perfect lips, "You've been kissed?"
She blushed, "Not until this morning."
"Oh? By who?"
She blushed deeper, "Hiei." She spoke in a whisper then gasped, "Oh poor Hiei! I'm supposed to be looking for him!" She jumped up.
Doctor Takeshi held up a hand, "Just sit down, everything will be ok. How long have you been here?"
Hakida wrinkled her nose, "Six months."
"Why have we only now seen you?"
"I usually stay in the trees, like Hiei. But I slipped and hurt my ankle."
His blue eyes looked at her slender ankle; "It seems fine to me."
She nodded, "When I sleep I heal myself." She pointed to where the previous man had jabbed her with a needle, "See, no wound." He nodded and scribbled down on his paper.
"Who is Kurama?"
She smiled, "He's my brother!"
"Brother?"
Hakida reached out for a flower that stretched to her hand, "Yes."
"You mean there is another like you?"
She smiled, "No silly! Well… yes but no. He's human."
"Human?"
She nodded, "Human." She sighed, "You humans have to ask so many questions in order to get something!"
He laughed and stared at her, "May I… touch your tail?"
She tilted her head; "They're very sensitive." She grabbed her tails possessively.
He nodded, "It's just… I've never seen a human with tails."
She growled, "I'm not human."
"Oh, sorry."
She wrinkled her nose; "No one has touched my tails but me and Hiei."
"Hiei?"
She blushed, "He was doing it out of spite."
"You know, scientists are going to want to touch them."
"I won't let them!" She hugged her bushy tails close to her. "Touching a Kitsune's tails without proper assent it like… rape to a human! It's a violation!"
He raised a bushy brow; "I had no idea." He chewed on the end of his pen, "So, if Hiei touched them… he raped you?"
She blushed, "Oh! No! No, no." She looked at another flower; "It was different with Hiei."
"How so?"
Hakida blushed, "You have no sunlight here in this room."
He smiled, "I see you don't want to talk about how it was different with Hiei."
"It's not that… it's just… complicated."
"Oh?"
"Hiei and I are worlds apart."
"He's a human?"
She laughed, "No silly! I told you Hiei hates humans."
"So he's a Kitsune?"
Hakida shook her head, "No, if he was this would be easier. Hiei is a fire demon."
"A what?"
"Well not really."
The doctor let out a sigh, "Oh good."
She smiled, "He's only half. He was born from an ice maiden mother."
"What?"
She sighed, "I'm growing tired of this. I want to go home."
"Where is your home?"
"With Inari."
He looked at her shocked, "With Inari?"
She sighed, "Yes with Inari!" She swayed her tails in anger, "Now I know why Hiei hates humans!"
He raised a hand, "Ok, ok… I believe our visiting time is over. I'll be going now."
"How is that you can leave but I am forced to stay?"
He stuttered, "You're seen as a threat or danger to us."
She scowled, "I am no such thing!" She crossed her arms and plopped down on the bed. She smiled at him, "Doctor Takeshi…."
"Yes?" He turned to her.
She smiled seductively, "Don't leave me. I don't want to be alone." She stretched out on the bed beckoning him with a finger.
"Uh… I really need to go."
She smiled and licked her lips, "Oh come on… just a little while longer."
He stepped toward her, "Well, I suppose I could stay a little longer."
She smiled swishing her tails as she patted the bed. "You sit here." He did as she said and soon found him self reclining on the bed, her straddling his hips. In a few short strokes he was pinned in her restraints. She smiled, he hadn't even noticed yet. : I am too good at this. Now, just a little bit of lotion from the sleeping flower… and then… and then… I have no idea what to do next. : She chuckled and applied the lotion to his forehead. She quickly got up and went to the door realizing she needed a key. She smiled, "A key?" She waved her hand and a key of vines appeared in the door and it swung open. She peeked out of the room and saw a guard a few feet away. She whistled and he turned to her, his eyes wide. She smiled and sauntered to him as he held up the gun, "I'll sh-shoot." Hakida licked her lips seductively; "You wouldn't shoot little me, would you?" She pushed the point of the gun away wrapping her tail around his waist, "All I want is to be held…." She licked his chin, "To be appreciated." She nuzzled his chest; "You would do that, wouldn't you?"
"Yes ma'am."
She smiled, "Good…." A flower appeared in her hand and it puffed a yellow smoke into his face. She smiled as he fell to the ground, "I hope you don't snore." She swiftly made her way down the hallway and sighed, "If only Hiei would fall for these charms."
"There she is!" A group of soldiers ran into the hallway, the officer yelled, "Shoot to kill!" She gasped her hair on end. "Fire!"
Botan appeared the next morning next to a sleeping Kurama. She gently woke him, "Kurama… I have some bad news."
He immediately woke up, "Is it Hakida?"
She nodded, "We found where she was being held… but we found it a little too late."
Hiei burst into the conversation; "Hakida is… dead?"
Botan looked away, "We had one of out people pose as one of the high ranking officials… and… when we said we wanted to see her the person at the desk told us that she had… well… she was gone. They said that they had an order to kill on sight." She looked at Kurama and Hiei, "I'm sorry."
Hiei sped from the room leaving Kurama crumpled in Botan's arms. "Dead? She's not dead! I won't accept it!" He thrashed through the undergrowth and found the he was where Hakida had showed him one of Inari's special places. He growled at the statue and overgrowth and unsheathed his katana wreaking havoc on the beautiful place. "Inari! Inari! Why let one of your own die!" He thrashed at the statue. "Why her! She was your prized possession!" He slashed again, falling to his knees; "She was my prized possession." He took the rose from his scarf and crumpled it in his hand, pricking his palm. Black tear gems cascaded down his face tingling to the stone pathway. "Why her…? Why?"
A strong wind knocked him to the ground and an equally strong voice followed, "How dare you demolish this sacred place!"
He growled, "Inari…."
"Hiei! You have no place here!"
His arm began to smoke, "Neither do you!"
"Why do you hate? Where you not touched with love?"
"Only to have it ripped from me! You knew I loved her! You knew even before you sent her that I would fall in love with her! Why did you send her only to be torn from us!" He fell to his knees. "To be torn from… me."
The wind ceased and he was once again alone, tear gems falling to the stone and breaking in half. "Hiei?" A gentle voice flowed to his ear. He looked up to a pile of rubble to see Hakida smiling at him. "Don't cry Hiei. Did you mean what you said? That you loved me?"
He nodded, "And it's not just some spell from a flower."
She smiled and crossed her legs, letting out a tiny laugh, "Oh you silly little fire demon."
He looked at her confused; "You're dead."
She laughed, her golden eyes glowing; "Does it look like I'm dead?" She winked at him; "Inari saved me at the last moment." She waved an extra tail, "It turns out, my journey to the human world was a test. It made me use my powers that I had forgotten I had." She smiled, "I got a new tail!" She giggled and jumped down to him, "Inari has told Kurama that I'm not dead." She caressed his cheek; "I was told that I could go anywhere I wanted, to Kurama or you. While Kurama is my brother… I needed to see you again." She leaned foreword licking the tears from his cheek, "Don't cry." She closed her eyes and placed her cheek against his.
"Hn."
She glanced at him, her eyes wide, "But… you're still under the spell of the love flower… you're not supposed to say Hn."
He glanced at the crumpled and now burnt rose in his hand, "I… I didn't mean to burn it."
She laughed and embraced him in a hug; "Oh you broke it all by yourself!" Hakida was lifted from the ground and she gasped, "Hiei! What are you doing!"
He smirked, his hand rubbing the base of her tails; "Do you love me?"
"Of course."
"Then say it."
She leaned toward him, her lips brushing his ear; "I love you."
His ruby eyes sparkled as he lay her down on an old stone bench. "Hn."
"You're the only thing I wanted while stuck in that place with those humans. When I thought I was going to die I didn't think of Kurama or even Inari… all I could think of was `I didn't get to tell Hiei I loved him.' All I wanted to do was see you one last time." She smiled, "Will you accept me Hiei?"
"The question is… will you accept me?"
She smiled and licked his ear; "You'd have to kill me to get rid of me." He licked her neck then bit down on her hard. She gasped "Hiei! Do you know what that means to a Kitsune?"
"Hn… silly Kitsune." He licked the indent, "Of course I do. That's one thing that is not different in Kitsune's and fire demons." He smiled, "I've claimed you. For anyone to touch you now means certain death for them; and now I've got a reason to torch them."
She smiled, "Hiei, you little rascal."
