Millie: well you sound awfully excited about it

Black: *waves her off* I'm tired…

Millie: *sweat drops* then go to sleep Black

Black: *glares* no *says in dark tone*

Millie: *steps back* ok ok

Hiei: onna just shut up about not being able to sleep and write

Black: bite me three eyes!!!!!!! *yells with fire in eyes*

Hiei: *glares*

Millie: can we just get on with the story?

Black: *hits her with text book* fine, I own zilch so enjoy the new fic

`Cut them down….cut them all down!!!'

`No leave them alone what have they ever done to you!!!'

`They killed us that's what they did, no one deserves to live…they all must die, and we shall kill them all!!!'

`Kill them…the humans…the demons…everyone in Spirit World…kill them all!!!!!'

The voices…the voices carved into my brain like a butcher knife…just cutting away at all my senses. I was lying in a hospital bed; it was where I had been contained for weeks on end, the plain white room burned into me.

`I know you can hear me Sarah…..KILL THEM!!!'

“Stop it!!!”

I hissed and clutched the sides of my head, the voices…they were so sharp and painful. They would never go away; they just kept coming, telling me horrible and beautiful things.

“Just go away and stop tormenting me!!!”

My voice became more high pitched, though I couldn't hear myself, the voices were too loud. Just screaming at me from the inside, they wouldn't go away they just wouldn't.

`Kill them kill them kill them!!!'

`No don't let them live…they are only trying to help us!!!'

`How can a mere human help US?!'

“Just SHUT UP!!!!!!”

I screamed, file cabinets shook throughout the room, the bed trembled beneath me. My eyes changed from blue/green, to white, to gold, and to crimson in a split second. Nurses and doctors came rushing into my room to see the cause of the noise, gasps were heard.

“MAKE THEM STOP!!!!!!”

I shrieked as window and mirrors shattered, my vision blurred, my heart raced, they couldn't get to me…the power was keeping them back.

“JUST STOP IT!!!!!”

Everything flooded back to me all at once, thoughts, memories, everything including the pain. But I didn't speak; I just sat in silence, staring around at the room that held so many unwanted memories. I was 8 when all of that happened, I was now 16 and once again contained in the psych ward of the wretched ningen hospital.

“How long do you think she'll be in here for?”

My `friend' Kurama questioned the nurse outside of the room; I had recently joined into the Urameshi team. Not that I had a choice in the matter, the moronic toddler prince forced it upon me.

“For perhaps a week or so sir, those cuts were quite deep and we must make sure she meets a full recovery”

“Thank you miss”

He said politely with a nod, the gang stared into my room through the small window, worried expressions spread across their faces. I peered back through to them, I couldn't see them because it was a two way mirror, I just knew they were there.

“Dammit….that plan was supposed to be full proof”

I stared at my wrists, I had cut them in an attempt at suicide, but the damn team had found me and brought me here. To the same room I had been kept in when I was 8 years old, the nurse looked at me.

“The last time she was here she was so young…but she hadn't tried anything like this before”

She explained, Melissa, another `friend' of mine was there as well, she was also a part of the team.

“She was here before?”

“Indeed, when she was merely eight years old, a little girl, she was put in this very same room for mental reasons”

“What do you mean?”

I glared back to the mirror, gritting my teeth together.

`You hear them don't you…they're talking about you…trying to pry into your life just like everyone else who doesn't belong'

`They want to help us Sarah, do not listen to her'

`Shut up bitch, they want to get into places they shouldn't be in, going at the nurse for answers…stop them'

“You think I don't know what you're talking about out there?!”

I snarled, everyone turned to the window, they could hear me through the speakers that had been set up in the room.

“Quit asking questions…its none of your business”

`There you go girl!'

`Just let them in Sarah'

`Shut the fuck up'

I smirked as I listened to them bicker in my head, I ended up letting out small laughs.

“What's she laughing about?”

“This is what she used to do when she was here before, except she burst into fits of screaming, not much laughing was ever there”

“Hmm….so why again was she in here?”

Melissa pestered.

“Well, she claimed she was hearing voices…telling her horrible, and cruel things, yet at other times they would speak to her soothingly and softly to calm her”

`They're talking about us still…'

`Get over it'

`Why should we get over it when they are going to be pestering us for answers for the rest of our damn lives!!!!!'

“Calm down you two…it'll be fine; I will take care of them for us”

“It seems she has learned to cope with them better, but still there is something wrong, we should keep her for another week at the most”

“Yes, thank you miss, we will be back later to pick her up then”

She nodded with a small smile and watched as they departed, I just laid back and gazed at my bandaged wrists.

`Maybe it will work next time…can't wait to see all that blood can you?'

`Please just let them help us, it could do us so much good, you wouldn't have to run in fear in anymore…we wouldn't have to'

`Who said we were running?! Bitch…we don't run, we have been defending ourselves against this world for years'

`Maybe so, but still…we shouldn't have to anymore'

“She's right maybe next time”

`Will you ever listen to me?'

`She doesn't need you, I am the only who makes sense here'

`Right…so I will just sit back as you two ruin our lives'

“Who says I was ruining it? You'll live now sit back and enjoy the show; it will all be over soon”

I whispered, they were silenced and I sat resting in peace.

~~At the Temple~~

The gang sat around doing their own thing.

“Why do you think she never told us Kurama?”

Melissa asked the red headed fox boy, he shook his head showing that he didn't know.

“I do not know Melissa, I am sure she had a good reason though”

He placed a gentle hand on her shoulder to comfort her; it was so completely obvious that they were interested in each other. But they were too nervous and stubborn to tell the other, stupid human emotions…they only got in the way of everything.

“The onna has too much pride to admit something is wrong with her, she's crazy, it's good she's gone”

“Shut up Hiei you don't know what you're talking about!!!”

“Baka she is nothing but trouble, what did she ever do for us? Nothing except for screw up”

They glared at the fire youkai; he rolled his eyes and went to his regular perch on the window sill.

“When she comes back we'll find out Melissa, don't you worry”

She sighed in defeat and went to watch some TV.

At least I do hope we'll find out' Kurama thought.
