"...." talking Chapter One:

He was being held, he could see a silhouette of a person holding him at arms' length. 'Who is this person?' Hiei thought as the figure held the baby Hiei over a pit of lava. Hiei could tell this was when he was thrown off his homeland, but it wasn't over lava, and this person isn't the same one that threw him off either, this person was.....somehow familiar. 'How did I get in this predicament?' Hiei wondered starting to panic. The person's features seemed to get clearer, and Hiei gasped aloud at who it was.

".........Kurama......" Hiei murmured, staring at the redhead holding him over the pit. But this Kurama looked different. His face was cruel and cold, and he seemed amused by holding the infant over the dangerous hot matter. "Kurama, what are you doing?" Hiei asked.

"Silence! Don't you dare speak to me, you filthy rat!" Hiei was flabberghasted.

"But Kurama, I thought you.....loved me..." Hiei felt tears forming. 'He would not cry!'

"Ha! You actually think I could love a petty youkai like you?" Ha ha ha!! "Yeah right, I just used you for my own advantages. But now I think it's time to say farewell.....Forbidden Child!" With that, Kurama threw the baby Hiei down into the pit.

"AAHHHHHH!!! No don't Kurama wait!!" Hiei bolted upright in the futon covered in a cold sweat. He was breathing hard. 'What? A dream?' Hiei started when arms snaked around his waist. Hiei turned his back til' he could see his lover's face.

"Hiei, did you have another nightmare?" Kurama asked barely above a whisper while he rubbed the fire demon's back soothingly. 'It must've been pretty bad to have him startled like this.' Hiei looked at the concerned eyes of his lover. It had been just a nightmare after all. He was safe in the redhead's arms..........wait a minute. Wasn't he in his arms in the dream? Was this dream telling him something? 'Nah, Kurama loves me, he told me so many times, and he's showed me too.......VERY plainly...yeah....'There's no way he'd do that to me!' Hiei didn't seem reassured. He looked at Kurama, noticing he was still waiting for an answer. "Yeah......." He mumbled, hoping he wasn't heard. But Kurama heard fine. "How bad was it?" He whispered pulling the koorine closer to him. Hiei rested his face on Kurama's bare chest with a sigh. "It was scary.." Hiei admitted. Kurama was shocked. 'Hiei never admits to being afraid! What's going on?' Kurama hugged the little fire demon tighter, as if trying to will away the little demon's uneasiness. "Care to talk about it?" Kurama soothed.

"No." Hiei answered sharply. Kurama was taken aback.

"Hiei I can't help if you don't telmrrph!" Kurama's words were cut off by Hiei's lips pressed tightly to his own. Hiei pulled back and looked at his fox with peircing eyes.

"Kurama? You love me right?" He whispered nervously. Kurama's eyes widened. 'Why is he asking me that?! He knows I love him!' But maybe he needs reassurance.

"Hiei, I love you more than anything, more than life itself!" He pulled Hiei into a tight embrace to prove his point. But Hiei gently pulled back. "Are you sure you want ME? Are you going to leave me?" Kurama noticed the choking in his voice. Now he was getting freaked. "Of course I love you! I'll never leave you. Death itself couldn't seperate us." Hiei seemed to ponder this and said, "I love you too greeneyes." Kurama couldn't help but smile at his little demon lover. "Forever firefly." Before pulling Hiei's lips against his own. He ran his tongue along his lover's lips, seeking entrance. Hiei obliged immediantly. He opened his mouth as Kurama stuck his tongue inside the hot tunnel, exploring the inside of Hiei's mouth. Hiei moaned against the contact. When they finally parted, Hiei looked at his kitsune thoughtfully if not shyly. "Oi, greeneyes, can you.....hold me for awhile? Please?" Kurama's eyes misted up at the shy look on his lover's face. "Of course koibito, c'mere." He opened his arms and Hiei glomped onto him. Kurama chuckled and then layed down with Hiei laying on his chest. After laying on Kurama's chest with his lover's hand running through his hair, he asked him. "Greeneyes? Will you make love to me?" Kurama smiled gently down at the fire demon. "of course firefly." He whispered before placing Hiei underneath him and started kissing him all over. Any doubts that were in Hiei's mind vanished as Kurama showed him exactly how much he loved him......

Author's notes: I didn't feel like writing a lemon in this one, it was just fluffy. I'll write a lemon soon so don't fret. Any kind of feedback would be appreciated. Flames ok. Peace out.
