KG: ok, chapter nine, sorry, I had the inspiration for another fic and I just had to write it before it escaped my brain.
Hime: where’d blackprincess go?
KG: she had to go home.
Hime: oh.
KG: but I sent her a fun e-mail, d’you wanna read it?
Botan: sure, why not.
*they all crowd around computer. Their mouths drop in shock*
KG: like I said, it was a fun e-mail
Yusuke: I’m shocked and disturbed.
KG: hehehe.
Disclaimer: go back to chapter one for it.
Nicknames: all the same.

I took Yuu off of the counter and set him on the floor. “Now, go tell everyone that lunch is ready. Karugune and Kairi are at Endo’s, so they won’t be joining us.”
“Ok mama.”
“And don’t wake up daddy, he was up most of the night at work.”
Yuu over dramatically saluted and marched off.

I have to live through this. Fox has to take me to visit my mother. That, and Botan said that I’m supposed to live a long life. Hiei stepped back and I walked forward. It was dark, but I could see everything perfectly. Every darkness member we ever defeated, that wasn’t killed, was gathered around the Skila stone.
“#$%^&*$*^#%^&^**%$$” one of them said. (*I decided instead of using some different text, to just use the symbols at the top of the keyboard. Now even I don’t know what it says*)
“&$F&^*^*()*%&%$%&^&()!#%$#%̶ 1; another said.
“Give it back!” I yelled at them. I could feel my energy flaring stronger by the second. I put my hands together over my head, pushing energy into them. I pointed my arms at the darkness. If this kills them, then so be it. I don’t think that it would be counted as a crime.
“^@!@#!$*!&^%#@(&^$#” one screamed.
I pulled my arms apart until they reached a strait line at my sides. (*kinda like a T*) The darkness disappeared, I obliterated them all. There was a long path into the ground of the area that I attacked. I walked down the path and stopped where the Skila stone sat. I picked it up, mended the chain, and put it around my neck where it belongs. Instantly, I felt my energy being sapped from me. Everything was growing dark.
“Is mama ok?” I heard Kairi’s voice say.
I felt someone’s arms around me. Slowly I opened my eyes to find myself being carried into my home by Fox. “Are you feeling all right?” he asked me.
“I think so, what happened.” I asked. Fox set me down. I staggered and fell into Iroguro’s arms. “Thanks.” He pulled me up.
“You used a lot of energy, more than you usually do.” Iroguro explained. “So when you put the Skila stone back on, it absorbed the amount of energy it normally holds, causing you to loose more than necessary.”
“Oh.” I said. I turned to Keiko, who was watching all of the children with Yukina’s help. Mine, hers, and Yukina’s. “How did they behave?”
“Normal.” Keiko said with a smile. “Kairi spent an awful lot of time with Yukina.”
“Well, they are family.” I felt Hiei glare at me. Kuwabara and Yukina still don’t know that Hiei’s Yukina’s brother. “Don’t glare at me, Jagan!”
“Jagan?” Yukina asked.
“Sure, Jagan. He has a jagan eye, so it’s only appropriate.”
“You haven’t given Hiei a nickname in two years, basically since Kairi was born.” Iroguro said.
I smiled. “I’m feeling more like my old self. Now, if you will all well excuse me, I’m going to take a long relaxing bubble bath to wash that battle away. If anyone disturbs me, they’ll be shot at sunrise.” I smiled happily and went upstairs to soak.
I set the cd player on the sink and put in my soothing sounds of nature tape. I turned off the water and slid in, submerging my whole body in the bubbles. I emerged about three hours later with a towel on my head, a bathrobe around my body and fuzzy slippers on my feet.
I went to my room and got out ne of Kurama’s old shirts and a pair of underwear and put it on. I hung my robe up in the closet and let the room, my fuzzy slippers still on. It was nearly midnight, but all fo my mates were still awake. Jagan doesn’t sleep unless he feels like it, but I was surprised to see Fox and Iroguro still awake.
Jagan sat in the chair staring out the window in front of him, Fox sat at one end of the couch reading his latest novel, and Iroguro sat on the other side of the couch looking through one of his client’s files. I sat down between Fox and Iroguro.
I don’t know why this flashed trough my mind, but it did. “I’m the only non-demon in the entire house.” I stated.
Fox looked up from his book, Iroguro, from his file, and Jagan from the window. “Where on Earth did that come from?” Iroguro asked.
“I don’t really know, but it’s true. Jagan’s a fire demon, (*she doesn’t know about the ice part*) Fox is a kitsune, and Iroguro’s a shadow demon. That makes all our children hanyous.”
Iroguro put his arm around my shoulder. “We don’t think any less of you because you’re a ningen.” he said. “Heck, me and Kurama have lived in Ningenkai (*sp?*) just as long as you. Besides, you cold kill us all with that power you’ve got.”
I smiled. He had a point. Fox returned to his book, Iroguro went back to his file and Jagan closed his eyes. I started to feel tired. I laid down, putting my head on Fox’s lap.
Fox marked and closed his book and put it aside. He stroked my hair. “Are you tired Hime?” he asked.
“Mmmmm.” I said and drifted asleep.
~Next morning~
“Ma, we’re going to Nana’s house aren’t we?” Karugune asked.
“No Karugune.” I said. We were on our way to my old home. Hopefully they didn’t move. Fox assured me that they still lived in the same house, but I’m still uncertain. “We’re going to the place where you, your brothers and Kairi have the same relatives.”
Kairi was sleeping in Fox’s arms. According to jagan, she was up most of the night with a light fever. He told me that it was just because of her being a fire demon, and it would happen. Her training to control her body temperature starts tomorrow when we get home.
“And where’s that, home?”
“No,” I giggled. “we’re going to my parents home. Now, I have to warn you that we may get a door slammed in our face.”
“Why?”
“Your grandma and I don’t exactly see eye to eye. I haven’t talked to her in almost fourteen years.”
We reached the house. I took a deep breath. Fox grabbed my hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze. I looked up to him and smiled back to his smile. We went up the walkway to the porch. Fox let my hand go to hold up Kairi as she was falling across his chest. I rang the door bell.

KG: I’m being nice, I’ve also updated Anya of the Flower Rose.
Hime: one chapter left.
blackprincess: KG, you’ve declared war.
Yusuke: when you’d get here?
blackprincess: just now.
Everyone but KG: *anime fall and sweatdrop*
KG: that’s blackprincess for you. Now, the faster you review, the faster I’ll update. I was in a generous mood today, that and I’m catching up for what I was going to do yesterday.
Iroguro: what happened yesterday.
KG: my dad played poker.
blackprincess: hey, fun stuff for you all.
KG: ok, this happened completely on accident, Iroguro means blackish in Japanese. I came up with the name before I decided that he was a shadow demon.
Hime: one of those fitting coincidences, huh?
