~*~Botan POV~*~

The sun shown on my eyes and it felt like it started to burn through my eyes. Then there was that meiwaku alarm clock ringing in my ears. It's really annoying, I swear. Whoever made the mezamashi-dokei, is a dumbass.

"Hurry up and wake up you little bitch! You have to go to your new school. Your new clothes are outside. Hurry up and get dressed!" the caretaker yelled.

"I'm up!" Botan yelled back. "Bitch." I mumbled when the caretaker was out of earshot.

My name was Botan Mitsuhara and I have lost my family since I was two years old. I have light blue hair and lilact colored eyes.

I opened the door and got my clothes. Ever since I lived here, no one really took notice of me. I was just there for shelter and food, since I had nowhere else to go.

I looked at the outfit. At least the outfit was decent enough to wear. It was a black skirt that down up to my ankles, a white blouse that fit just right, and the shoes were an old pair of sneakers, but since I saved enough money over the years of work, I was able to buy a pair of white semi high heels that matched my outfit just right. I was thankful that the people who donated clothes had some taste in their clothes that they throw out.

After I put on the outfit, I got my worn out book bag, that I had used for years, and slung it over my shoulders. I went downstairs and took the toast that was waiting for me on the table before Koenma, the care takers son, ate it. It's not that I didn't like the kid, but he was somewhat a bitch to me.

"Hey Megumi! Which school am I supposed to go to again?" I yelled to the caretaker, named Megumi.

"Just ask one of the girls! Everyone that is going to high school is going to the same school!" Megumi yelled back.

I had at least one friend that I had there. Everyone else was a snob, thinking that they were all high-and-mighty.

"Hey Chise? Do you know what school we're going to?"

Chise Mikage was the only girl that actually befriended me, or at least talked to me. She, unfortunately, had a habit of saying sorry.

"Hey Botan-chan." Chise said with a smile, like always. "We're going to be going to Makai High. Why don't you just follow me to school and you'll know where it is?"

"Are you sure I should? I mean I don't wanna be a burden-"

"Bo-chan, you know that you're my best friend and you'll never be a burden to me."

Chise was always like that. She would always think of others than think of her herself first.

"Thanks C-chan. When will you go to school?"

"Give me a few minutes to finish packing my things, k?"

I nodded. Chise had orangish hair color with red-orange eyes, with a natural blush on her cheeks. Chise was always the type of girl anyone would fall for with looks itself, but me. I'm the kind of girl that people would think was a wannabe. I don't want to know how this year would be like. Then Chise came out with her school bag.

"Ready to go?" Chise asked.

"Yeah." I responded.

We went out the door and walked in silence for a few moments. But then I asked,

"Hey Chise?" I began.

"Mmhmm?" Chise responded.

"Do you think I still look like a wannabe?"

She looked at me like I had grown another head.

"What do you mean still look like a wannabe? You never even looked like one before."

"That's not true C-Chan. Everyone thinks I'm like that. I walk around and they think that 'hey look there's that girl that wants to be like everyone else, she cant even do anything on her own.'"

"Who ever said that? I never heard anyone say that before."

"I don't need to hear anyone say that. By the look on their faces, I can tell what they think about me."

"I have no idea where you heard those things from, demo, they're not true."

I don't know. Should I believe her? She was always with the `in' crowd, unlike me.

"You sure no one says I'm a wannabe?"

"I'm totally sure. Don't you trust me?" She started to sound sad and looked like she had unshed tears in her eyes.

I suddenly felt a pang of guilt. I didn't mean to make my best friend cry.

"Chise. It's not that. I do trust that. Just don't cry. Onegai shimasu."

"You're not only saying that. Are you?"

I shook my head.

"Sorry I brought it up. And you are my best friend and you should know that I trust you. It's just that you know that I'm homeless and all and I don't have a family or anyone to count on, but you actually have friends to do that. So I always feel self-cautious around people, you should know that. Sumimasen. Sumimasen." I said in the break of tears.

"Gomen ne. Gomen ne. I didn't mean it like that. Here." She gave me a Kleenex and gave herself one too. And both of use blew our nose in it.

When I realized what was happening, I started to laugh. Chise looked at me and then giggled.

"Hey Chise, can you believe what we're doing? It's the first day of high school and we're all crying." I said between laughs.

"I know. That was weird." Chise said between laughs.

By the time we were done laughing, we were able to see the school building.

"Hey C-Chan. Time fly's by when you laugh like there's no tomorrow."

"I know."

We looked at each other, and then burst into giggles again.

When we were done, we had 10 minutes before school started.

"Hey C-Chan, can I see your schedule?" I asked. I wanted to see what her classes were and compare hers with mines.

She took her schedule out and gave it to me. I then took out mines.

Wow. We have a lot of classes together, I thought.

"Wow!" I exclaimed.

"What?" Chise asked.

"We have 5 classes together, but in P.E., it's different teachers."

She looked surprised.

"Honto ne?"

"Hai."

"Cool. Lets go to our lockers before we're late."

"Our lockers are also next to each other." I finished with a giggle.

She giggled too. But then she stopped. I looked at her and followed her eyes and saw that she was looking at a guy that was about 6'1" with light brownish hair and piercing gray eyes.

~*~Chise POV~*~

Omigod! That guy is really cute. Omigod he's looking at me! I screamed in my mind, then adverted my gaze quickly and knew that I was blushing a lot. I looked up again and saw that he was walking towards us. I tugged Botan's arm, hoping she got my silent persuation.

"C'mon Botan. We have to get to class and it's all the way in the west building and we also have to get to our lockers." I said frantically, scared that he would come this way anytime soon.

"You sure you don't wanna talk to him first?" I knew she was teasing me because she had this glint in her eyes.

"C'mon B. Lets go. I don't want him to talk to us yet."

"Suurree you don't."

I looked at saw that he had a few friends with him too. One was 6'3" with emerald eyes and silky red hair, another was about 5'7" with spiky raven hair and crimson eyes, another one was 6'1" with raven hair that was sleeked to the back of his hair with brown eyes, one had blue hair and azure eyes, the last one was 6'2" that was ugly with orange hair and brown colored eyes (I think and no offense to Kuwabara fans). They were coming closer so I steered Botan and I to their right avoiding them. I was on Botan's right, so I was able to avoided them. I knew one thing… this year's gonna be a weird.

A/N: I had some that I forgot and sorry if some of it's wrong!!! Some of the other characters in my story, not including Megumi, are in another anime called Saikono. It's really good and I recommend it to everyone. Pretty sad too.
