Chapter11: Sapphire's Awakening

The next day, once again, everyone was in their `spots.' Except Botan was awake, but she didn't speak to anyone. She just sat in her hospital bed staring into the nothingness of the room, while tightly holding onto that red ruby tear gem. She had been given food, but she didn't consume it. She didn't even acknowledge its existence. She just sat there in her bed, staring at the void-ness of the rival wall.
Hiei and the others just sat there, also. They were all thinking what they would be doing right currently if they had been more vigilant in defending the girls from this menace. Their thoughts were quickly divided as their ears picked up the slight sound of a yawn. They all looked at Sapphire. Her eyes were slowly rising. Her striking blue-purple orbs danced around the room, absorbing like a sponge where she was and who was in the room.
Her eyes landed on Kurama. She gave a small smile, which disappeared quickly. “Did Yukina-chan wake?” She asked her voice hoarse and barely whisper, but audible for them to hear. When Hiei quietly said no, she let a tear fall out. A beautiful glistening blue topaz gem rolled of her face and fell onto her bed. Her face, as well as Botan's, was void from emotion. After all, after what they had been through, witnessed, and heard, I don't think any one would be happy.

Another day went by, and another day of no sleep, the guys were on a verge of just collapsing. Keiko finally accepted the fact that she would have to face the guys sooner or later, so she didn't force sleep upon herself again. Instead, Yusuke was leaning against the headboard with Keiko in his arms. She had her face buried in the crook of his neck and had a delicate cut hand on his chest. She had been crying silently for about an hour. She just gave up. She gave up on hiding, she gave up on trying to stop her seemingly endless river of tears, and she gave up on faith.

It had been a week. Koenma would come down from the office often to pay respects. Yukina had not woken up from her sleep, and this time, she hadn't moved at all. This made everyone scared and made Sapphire cry constantly. The guys couldn't help but think that if Yukina never wakes, and dies, Sapphire would probably commit suicide. They were hoping Yukina woke up soon. Sapphire's cries were getting almost unbearable. Yesterday, one of the demon doctors had to sedate her. Sapphire had thrown an all out extreme fit, and was kicking and screaming. If Yukina didn't wake up soon, the guys didn't know what they were going to do…

Ok, I know this is Friday, but hey, I need to warn you guys somehow…. Lol.
