Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction ❯ How They Met ❯ First Story: How They Met ( Chapter 1 )
[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]
KS: Once again, I have time on my hands and I wanted to write this short story about how I imagined Yoko and Kori meeting. So here's my short story- "How They Met."
************************************************************ *************************************
It hurt to run for days without sleep, food, and water. But Kori had no choice. It was either run or be killed, and she rather be alive and hurting than dead. Her black ears twitched at the sound of a cracking whip, and she let out a groan. "HOW MANY MORE DAMN DEMONS ARE THERE?" she screamed at the sky.
She waded into the river and dove under. Kori swam downstream and continued to stay under for a few minutes. Her head snapped out of the water and she noticed the stench of the demons had dissappeared. "Idiots," she muttered.
She dove back under the water, but this time when she came up she had a fish in her mouth and the fin was out of her mouth flapping like crazy. Well, at least she could eat.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
A fish and a handful of water was what Kori had needed and now she felt a hell of a lot better. And now, she had nothing to do. Well, she could go off and steal or kill someone again, but that would be suicide, considering that was what she was being hunted for, woldn't it be? Mental Note: Stop killing so much people, Kori. And don't kill the important people, either.
Not only that, but there was a pain shooting out from her ankle. Her day was seriously not going well.
"THERE SHE IS!" someone shouted. Oh, her day was really not going well.
"Well, so much for being bored," Kori muttered, as she started to run again.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
'Why isn't there any weapon around?' Kori thought. 'Why didn't I bring any weapons with me? Why did that bastard have to set my rose on fire? Why am I asking so many questions?'
She was still running, that was until a whip wrapped around her ankle and yanked her to the ground.
"Well, well, well... It's about time," came a male's voice and a foot on her back.
"Excuse me, but I don't find this a big feat," Kori stated.
"Shut it, bitch," he stated and picked her up and threw her against the ground, repeadetly.
Okay, now this hurt. It was bad enough she had pain shooting out from her ankle, but she was not in the mood for a kill right now, not even if she was the one killing, and he was probably trying to break every bone in her body. Not to mention that everyone else was joining in with the ocassional punch, kick, claw, bite- wait, what perverted demon was biting her!!??-, and whip slash.
Well, she new one thing to do. She reached for the plant seed in her hair and giving what was left of her energy- "Kieuseru," she whispered.
She fell into an unconcious state, as the giant plant devourved and spit out the bones of the demons.

Going on a theft by yourself wasn't always the smartest thing, but sometimes it was good to go on your own. Actually, Yoko just wanted to get away from some the girls that had come flocking to him, squealing and giggling like fools, thats why he said he was going on a theft and that's why he was currently walking through one of Makai's many forests.
Yoko raised his nose- The scent of blood was thick in the air. Curiousity got the best of him and he followed the scent. He tried to sense what ever the hell it was but it was too weak and that damn blood was to thick to smell what the poor creature, or creatures they were.
At first when he came to the clearing, all he saw was a giant Kosshishokubutsu starting to go back into the seed. "Ouch, that really had to hurt," he murmured.
But when he saw the bloddy and bruised kitsune laying there, he thought his heart had stopped. He went over, kneeled down, and rolled her over onto her back. He noticed the blood wasn't all hers, but alot of it was. Yoko bent over and rested his head on her chest and his ear over her heart. It was silent for a few minutes, but then he heard it. A faint, extremley faint heartbeat. Yoko looked up, he couldn't see or hear her breathing but he had heard the heartbeat.
Yoko picked the kitsune up and carried her back towards the house.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Yoko placed the girl gently on the bed. He went to get a bowl of warm water, a rag, bandages, and some healing herbs. He dipped the rag into the water and started to wash the blood away from her face. Once he was done with washing her face, he moved to her arms. He placed the herbs over the cuts and then bandaged them.
"Mmph," the kitsune replied and Yoko chuckled.
"It's good to know that you're alive, kitsune," he murmured.
He lifted her to a sitting position, pushed her long blonde hair out of the way, and took off her black tank top and continued to wash her back and stomach.
"Mmmmmm," the kitsune replied and Yoko chuckled again.
He continued the process of washing, applying a healing herb, and then bandage until he reached her ankle.
"Baka, you were running on a twisted ankle, weren't you?" Yoko asked. "Looks like there is a whip mark around it, too. Just what exactley happened to you?" He bandaged it and left the room.
When he returened he had and a pair of baggy white pants and a large red T-shirt, which he slipped on her body. He trailed his fingers through her hair when he was finished.
"Hmmmm," came her reply.
"You don't speak much, do you?"
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Dark blue eyes blinked slowly as Kori tried to focus on her surroundings. Where the damn hell was she was and how in the hell did she get here?
She blinked again and this time she heard a voice. "Well, kitsune, it seems your finally awake."
Yoko found himself staring into the most beautiful pair of blue eyes he had ever seen. He blinked. What the hell was he thinking he had seen hundreds of eyes that were beautiful. 'But hers are different and you know it,' teased the little voice in his head. Make a mental note to kill all little voices in your head, Yoko. They will torture you for the rest of your existence.
"Where the hell am I?" she asked, rubbing her head.
"In a bed."
"Yeah, I think I know I'm in a bed."
"What's your name?" Yoko asked, reaching over and running his fingers through her hair.
"What the hell do you think your doing?" Kori snapped and smacked his hand away. Thats when she noticed the bandages and the fact that they were all over her body and she was wearing white pants and a red T-shirt... "Did you take off my clothes, bandage me, and dress me?"
"I think I'm playing with your hair," Yoko stated, and reached over to continue running his clawed fingers through her hair. "And yes I took off your clothes, bandaged you, and dressed you."
"You what?!" Kori almost screeched. "Who do you think you are taking off my clothes and redressing me?!"
"I think I'm Yoko. Speaking of who we are, who are you?" Yoko asked.
Yoko? Where had she heard that name before? She closed her eyes half out of thinking and half out of pleasure. She really did like his fingers running through... What the hell was she thinking?? She smacked his hand away. "Yoko... Hmm... As in the King of Thieves?"
Yoko blinked. "I'm honored that you have heard of me, but will you tell me your name?"
"None of your business," Kori stated. He watched her for few seconds as she struggled to get up.
"Relax, Kit," Yoko said. "Your wounds aren't healed yet and you sprained you twisted your ankle. I'm very surprised you even made it this long on your feet, you must have a very strong will."
"Did you just call me 'Kit'?" Kori asked, baring her fangs.
"Well, you wouldn't tell me your name, Kit. So I gave you a name," Yoko stated.
"I'm not a kit," Kori snapped.
"I'm not saying your a kit," Yoko stated. "I'm just saying your younger than me, so you can be called Kit."
They stayed silent for a few minutes and Yoko got up and went to the door. "Get some rest, Ki-"
"Kori," the kitsune stated. "Kori."
Yoko couldn't help but smile. "Get some rest, Kori."

KS: If anyone wants to know here are the Japenese terms I used-
Kieuseru: Die
Kosshi-shokubutsu: Bones plant (I made it up. Don't ask.)
KS: Okay, I'm thinking about making a collection of little stories about them. So if you read this, could you please tell me if you think I should make a short collection of these stories? Thanks.
