Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction ❯ I Could Not Ask For More ❯ The First Kiss ( Chapter 1 )
Hi!! This is my first Kurama/Hiei Fic… but not my first Yaoi fic… I know I should be working on Y&YW and Game of Love… but this idea will not leave me alone! I must write it on so I can work on my other stuff…
This fic is way different then any K/H pairing, because I am sick of seeing Kurama always on the bottom and always being the passive one!

~I Could Not Ask For More~
Kurama sat under the big tree waiting for Hiei, he had asked the fire demon to meet him at this location, which happened to be deep in the woods overlooking a cliff, Kurama loved it here, the view was beautiful, it was far away from people, and it quiet. Standing up he walked over to the cliff, looking over the down onto the forest below, standing here made him feel so big, the cliff had to be atleast five hundred miles high. He was so busy looking down upon the forest below that he didn't feel Hiei behind him.
"Your dead fox." Hiei said with a smirk, while his sword pressed against Kurama's throat, Hiei was surprised that he was able to catch Kurama off guard, normally Kurama would have noticed him before he could even get close.
"I guess I am," Kurama laughed, "Maybe I should be a little more careful, don't you think?"
"What did you want to talk about?" Hiei put his sword away and sat Indian style by the tree Kurama had once been sitting under.
"It's to calm these days, Hiei I'm worry that something might be happening in the demon world." Kurama said running his slender fingers through his long red hair before sitting down next to Hiei.
"Like what?" Hiei asked in an annoyed tone, he placed his arms behind his head and leaned against the tree, closing his crimson eyes, Kurama was one of few people who would see him in this state; of course he trusted the fox with his life. Kurama was the only person Hiei trusted with his life, which might not have been a good thing, since Kurama had become almost famous for betraying his comrades.
"Well, I don't know, I just have a bad feeling about this and my feelings are usually right." Kurama said looking up at the sky, watching the fluffy clouds roll by, a small breeze picked up, Kurama's red hair moved wildly with the small wind. The two demons fell silent; the silence lasted for about ten minutes until Kurama spoke up.
"Hiei, have you ever been in love before?" Kurama asked in a lazy tone, he wasn't expecting any answer, well unless you counted 'Hn' as an answer, but Hiei answering the question almost gave the fox demon a heart-attack.
"No, I can't say I have; why?" Hiei answered in a curious tone, his eyes were still shut, but he shifted a bit to if he were to open his eyes he would be looking at Kurama.
"Oh, I was just wondering, because I have this friend at school who is having relationship problems…" Kurama felt bad about lying to Hiei, there was no friend, he just wanted to know more about the fire demon, it was funny, he was good friends with Hiei and yet he knew so little about him, "I mean this friend even wanted to know what my preference was."
"Preference to what?" Hiei asked opening one eyes to look at Kurama, who was still looking up at sky, Kurama had a super serious look on his face.
"Oh, if I would rather be with a guy or a girl, you know, I was angered to say the least, but I did answer his question…" Kurama felt waves of guilt, he hated lying to a friend… umm… ok he didn't like lying to a friend… but hey he was -use to be- a thief… lying, stealing, killing and playing mind games had always been fun.
"And what was your answer?" Hiei froze, the words had slipped out, he never meant to ask that, but the question was out there now, and there was nothing he could do about it.
"What would your answer be?" Kurama turned his head so that he faced the fire demon; he was shocked that not only had Hiei bought his lie, but that he wanted to know what his answer was.
Hiei felt Kurama's eyes watching him, Kurama's green eyes were as wide as flying pans, Hiei mentally laughed, Kurama looked absolutely hilarious, this whole conversation was out of hand, and at first Hiei was reluctant to answer his friend's question, but this was Kurama, he wouldn't tell anyone, he trusted the fox with his life, so it would be safe to tell him, "Well, I guess it doesn't really matter, as long as I love them and they love me…"
"You can love?" Kurama laughed so hard he was almost crying, which angered Hiei, he had told Kurama something he wouldn't tell anyone and he was still laughed at, Hiei shot the fox a very deadly glare.
"Shut up," Hiei growled, how dare Kurama laugh at him like that.
"Oh my god, Hiei, lighten up, I was just playing around, you take things way to seriously; well since you answered my question, I should answer yours…"
"Yes, you should, not that I really care," Hiei spat, and the funny thing was he didn't care, its not like he was interested in Kurama, he just saw this as a conversation between friends, nothing more.
Too bad Kurama couldn't say the same, Hiei not really caring who he was with meant that he had atleast a bit of a chance, Kurama had been interested in Hiei for a while now, he just had to make sure that he didn't ruin their friendship, he liked everything about the fire demon: his hair, his eyes, his body, his attitude, his strength, his dry sense of humour, and the list goes on, and he liked having Hiei around him, and having Hiei trust him, it was nice and he wasn't about to ruin it by doing something stupid… like… a kiss… "You know what Hiei, I gave the same answer; you know what else?"
"Hn?" Hiei muttered, was it just him or was Kurama getting closer?
"I always wondered what love feels like," Kurama moved closer to the demon sitting not even foot away "and you know what else?" Kurama whispered in Hiei's ear.
Hiei could felt Kurama's breath on his ear, this was getting awkward, he turned to look at Kurama, only to realize that their faces were inches apart, "What… else?" he stumbled, he wanted to jump away from Kurama but his body betrayed him, his body wouldn't move.
"I like this Hiei." As soon as the words left Kurama's mouth he pressed his lips against Hiei's…

End of Chapter 1...
What does Hiei think of all of this? What will become of their relationship? Could this be the end of Kurama and Hiei? Or the beginning of something beautiful?
The answer to all of these questions lay in the next chapter and depends on how many reviews I get!
