I Pray
Songfic
The sobbing koorime was kneeled down to a small gravesite. The pattering of tiny dark stones softly falling to the small covering ground, her ruby, gemstone like shaped eyes; were drenched in sadness. Behind her was a kitsune, in its human shell. With long silken red tress, swaying slowly with the cold breeze.
“Kurama—why didn't he, I thought he was so strong—so why?” She wept, her tiny frame shaking with anguishing sobs. She knew her oniisan was strong, she knew he wasn't invincible but…why?
You were in my dream before I even knew that there was a you and me,
Now I can't wait to see your smile, When I wake up each day, It makes it worth while
With the kinda love you plant inside, Specially with a heart so empty as mine.
All your soft tenderness is the one thing that I don't wanna miss.
“Yukina, yes, he was strong but…Things happen, I'll miss him too.” Kurama whispered, as he knelt down beside her. Rubbing his hands together for warmth. The late hi youkai had pleaded with her to be buried here, in the ice realm where they both had been conceived and born.
“I know Kurama,” She apologized, leaning gently against his shoulder.
In the sky above it shed soft flakes, they seemed to be dancing in the wind. Gracefully landing against the snow. Yukina smiled weakly once more, placing Hiei's still warm band that always covered his Jagan
“If I ever told her that it was because of her, he had died, she probably kill herself; and if that happened Hiei'd turn in his grave.” Kurama thought to himself, sighing.
I pray,
When it's time for me to say goodbye I'll never forget looking in your eyes,
I pray,
That I feel your touch and that God doesn't forget our love,
I pray,
When I close my eyes, I can still see visions of you on my mind.
I pray,
That I see you in another life, I pray that you still by my side. Oh I pray.
Yukina sat in her quarters, silently crying again. She had set up a lone picture that she had pleaded with Hiei to let her take of him, and set it up on her desk. With ten small candles lighted heavenly around it. Sitting there with her head down, reminiscing on the short time they'd had together.
She fondly remembers a time she had persuaded him to go to one of those human sweet snow parlors, with her. That had order a big bowl of the strawberry, that they'd share. She thought of how he liked it some much, he ate almost all of the sweet snow by himself, and he got some on his short and on the side of his face.
He had gotten tense when she timidly reached over to him; her soft eye's glancing happily at him. She took her finger, sliding across his jaw line, and wiped away the chunk of the sweet cream on his cheek.
The koorime sat back, and noticed he had blushed a bit, and turned his identical eyes from her own, shyly. The hi youkai's imoutochan giggled slightly, making him a little more embarrassed. “He must not be use to a little sister's touch.” Yukina grimaced another smile at her niisan, cracking him finally so he returned the awkward smile.
Another precious memory she would clutch to till the end of time, was when Kuzuma had come to visit her at Genkai's shrine. She liked him as a person, not how he liked her. But she'd have yet to reveal that,
The human was making noticeable advances on her, and unfortunately for him her twin wasn't far away. In fact he was on his way up the shrine steps, making his annual, weekly visits from Makai to shower his lovely sister with gifts.
When Kuwabara had dipped in for an unexpected kiss. She had gasped when suddenly the human male had made contact with the shrine wall, with a loud crash
She turned her neck to see her brother; he was in front of her. With a present resting in his scared hands, with a grim smirk. Trying to hide his amusement, “For you ore no imouto.” She nodded, and kissed him on the cheek,
“Arigato, watashi no niisan.” The koorime smiled, unwrapping his gift. Forgetting completely about the unconscious Kuwabara laying in a heap on the cement behind her.
She gasped in joy, gazing at the beautiful new kimono. It was red, with foreign symbols on it. Though it wasn't something she normally wears, for him she'd do it. It was very elegant, and expensive. “Do you like it Yukina?” His strong, masculine voice asked.
She looked up, nearly to the point of streaming tears. Hiei became startled and felt guilty, he had not wanted to make her cry. He thought it would make her happy, “Hai, it is so wonderful, big brother—I do love it,” Hooking her frail arms around her sibling's body, pulling close into for a tight hug.
He felt her crying into his chest, and couldn't help but smile. She was so perfect, how did he ever earn the right to be cherished by such an angelic creature? Being brave, he pulled back and gently pulled her chin up so she'd look him in the eyes. “No thank you, Yukina.” His voice was as sweet as nectar then, he wasn't hiding anymore.
Her eyes sparkled radiantly in the sun's unwavering rays, “I have done nothing, you owe me no thanks, Hiei, I love you.” She whispered placing her small hand on his shoulder,
“That's what I am gesturing thanks for, your love…It's something I am thankful for. I love you also”
Everything that you give to me, Only comes in a fantasy,
It seems like life goes by so fast, But in this time I wanna make it last.
(I pray) I hate that we live to die, But only God knows why (I pray)
We all have a purpose, and to see you again it'll be worth it.
The fair ice maiden, tilted her head, and saw her priceless kimono. Draped over her bed, she wears every night to bed. Cause at night she has sweets dreams of her and her cherished oniisan.
“My brother, I love and always will…no matter where your spirit goes, no matter how long I'll wait to see you again. You are forever imprinted in my heart, you know with each day that passes by, I pray to god I'll never forget who you are. You mean everything to me. I love you eternally,”
I wish that I could stop time, I wish that I could rewind, To the very beginning of every second of my life.
To ask God on my hands and knees, To never let me forget all my special memories.
See I'm only promised today, And if it's my time to go, I don't want the love of my life to ever fade away,
So one last time let me open my eyes. To see what my life used to be like, Oh God.
I pray,
When it's time for me to say goodbye I'll never forget looking in your eyes,
I pray,
That I feel your touch and that God doesn't forget our love,
I pray,
When I close my eyes, I can still see visions of you on my mind.
I pray,
That I see you in another life, I pray that you still by my side. Oh I pray.
