[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]

`Why did I stay with her when she was weak, it's my fault she's disappeared into thin air. Why are these memories coming back to me? Why now, why?' He thought over and over the same question ringing in his ear, `Why?'

He sat up from his bed and tried to picture her face again, the face he promised never to forget, but he couldn't remember it. As hard as he tried, he couldn't remember the girl's face, `I-I can't…I forgot her face, but how could I?!'

**Dream**

"Hey!" yelled a female voice next to him. He looked at the young woman standing next to him with a bored expression. "Did you hear me?" she asked.

He stared at the girl face, her bangs were covering her eyes but a sweet smile was placed on her lips as he nodded his head. She had long midnight hair reaching her hips with white bumps on the top of her head, and her skin was snow-white. She wore a short white kimono with the imprint of ice on the kimono.

"What's wrong?" she asked filled with concern.

"Nothing," he responded still staring at her face.

She moved closer to him and felt his forehead, "You sure? You're staring to look a little strange."

He shook his head and took her hand away from his forehead, still staring at her face. He felt like he knew her from somewhere, and she sure knew him, but why couldn't he remember her? "Who are you?" he asked rather timidly.

"…" she pulled her hand away from his grip and stepped back staring at the floor, "w-what do you mean who am I?"

"I…do I know you?" he asked.

She forced a smile and looked up at him, her bangs still covering her eyes, "I guess time takes it toll, huh?" He saw her about fall to the ground, as he moved to catch her he felt a sharp pain on his back…

**End Dream**

"Who is she?" he asked himself laying on his bed and closing his eyes to try and picture her face.

**Elsewhere**

She stared at the rain puddle in front of her, the clouds started to fade away and the sun was slowly returning to its rightful place. The sound of birds chirping happily, small children laughing as they played in the mud puddles made her fell lonely.

Not a soul cared if she was alive or if her dead corpse rotted away on the busy streets. She smirked and it disappeared as soon as it appeared, she sighed and walked away from the rain puddle.

Walking slowly she looked around at the almost dead trees nearby, the already dead flowers except for a path of roses. `Roses?' she thought staring at the path of roses leading to the park, the trees and other flowers were all alive.

She started walking again wrapping her arms around herself and looking up and down the streets. Seeing not cars she ran to the other side of the street and continued with her walking.

She quickly blended in with the crowd of people walking in the streets, a few more minutes of walking along with the crowd she moved away from them and stood in front of a tall building. `This, this is the place?' she thought looking up to see the top. She shrugged and headed inside.

The place was dark, cold and abandon, `wow, they must get a lot of demon and demonesses in this place, real cozy.'

"Hello," said a cheerful voice behind her, "Name, age, kind of demon and origin."

She turned around and saw a girl around the age of fourteen; the girl was smiling at her and holding a clipboard out towards her. She took the clipboard and saw the same four questions that she had asked her out loud. Glancing up at the girl and writing down the information, she returned the clipboard to her.

"Thank you," she said cheerfully again, "Here is you new ningen identity."

The girl held out an ID card, birth certificate, and social security number; she grabbed the three items and looked at the ID card. The girl in it had long chocolate hair, ruby eyes and snow-white skin, the only thing that looked like her. A light surrounded her and changed her to look exactly like the girl in the ID card.

"Come back soon and have a nice day," said the girl before disappearing.

"Thank," she muttered after the girl left; she placed the three items in her jacket pocket and headed out of the building. The light from the sun hurt her eyes, so she had to cover her eyes with her hand as walked away from the place.

**Apartment**

`Why can't I remember!' he thought still thinking about the girl from his dream.

"Hello! Earth to Kurama can you hear me?" Yusuke yelled getting the attention of the redheaded demon.

"Huh?" Kurama said breaking away from his thought and looking at Yusuke, "What?"

"I said, when do you think you'll be able to join us on trying to figure out where the black-market for ningen ID's are! Koenma seems to be really pissed off that we haven't figured out where it is and who's running the place." Yusuke said glaring at Kurama.

"Oh," Kurama said scratching the back of his head, "Sorry."

"What are you thinking about?" Kuwabara asked.

"Nothing," Kurama said staring at the floor.

"Whatever, anyway back to the mission that we're on…" Yusuke said as his voice drowned out from Kurama's ears. `Who is she?'
