Ch.11
Curiosity and the Rejection
Another week had passed. With Kuramas popularity, he used everyone he could to find out who she was dating. But it was no good. No one was able to find out. He broke up with Winry and she knew it was because of Layla. She was mad but couldn't do anything about it since Kurama warned her. Also she was afraid of Layla. Not knowing who Layla was dating was bothering him so much he could barley sleep. There was only one thing left to do. ….Spy on her.
It was 11 p.m. and Layla left for her date. She took a taxi. Granpa Awayuki had told Kurama that Layla was meeting her date in the town park. So he left early and hid out there. He finally caught sight of her and moved in the bush he was in to see better. He watched as she ran up to a strange guy he never seen before. “I wonder who that is?” Then Kurama analyzed her. “Figured she wouldn't dress up. Not even for a date. Miss tomboy.”
“Lee!”
She ran up to hug him. “I missed you. I also have something to tell you.”
“I missed you to.”
Lee held here. He tried to stroke her hair but like always it was tucked inside that stupid cap. She looked at him. He didn't seem happy to see her. “Is something wrong?” Lee nodded and told her to sit down. He held both her hands.
“Is there something you wanted to say Layla?”
“You go first” she said.
“Its us… I don't think its working.”
“Why?”
“Well…Where not compatible.”
“What do you mean we like the same things?”
Lee gave an exaggerated sigh. “We like the same things that guy buddies like. Not like a couple. I thought I'd get over it, but your really not attractive.”
“What?!”
“I mean look at you Layla. I mean sure your pretty, I think. But I cant tell from your hat covering half your face. I don't even know how long your hair is! And you dress with a guys attitude.” She continued to listen to her bad qualities…
Kurama looked at her from where he was hiding. He could tell she was trying not to cry. Her feelings weren't hurt, but her pride was. “Lee…He looks and sounds familiar.” He thought. Kurama chewed on his lip for a while and then it hit him. “He's that stupid kid that locked me in the fridge when I was eight!”
Kurama felt anger rise inside him as he looked at Lee. As he was listening, he began to realize that Lee was breaking up with her. “Don't you dare hurt Layla like that.” Kurama came out from where he hid.
*^_^*Well he seems mad. But don't worry. Kurama get Layla out of this embarrassing situation, by embarrassing himself. Next time so keep reading. *^_^*
