[ P - Pre-Teen ]

“Kitty, I would like you to meet Hiei, one of two people, who are going to take care of you from now until I figure something out”, Koenma said, ruler of spirit world and a good guy, I guess, but I can’t seem to remember much of anything before I awoke a few days before but I also trust him so I don’t think it really matters.

“Okay, Koen, if you say so”, I said smiling happily glad I could trust him though he looks like a baby I know for sure he is way older than me but all he did was turn to the door smiling as he pressed a red button on his desk making the door open. In the doorway stood a man that seemed way taller than me, black electrifying hair, white burst in the front, white bandana over his forehead, ruby red eyes, complete black outfit even boots, black cloak, and white sash, but the whole while he didn’t smile at me or Koen though he kept on scowling at Koen for some unknown reason, well to me anyway.

“Hiei, until Kurama gets there try to be nice to Kitty and Kitty, listen to what Hiei tells you to do”, Koen said looking at the two of us and I just smiled at, the scowling, Hiei who looked a little surprised to see me smiling at him or something but I just stood there smiling patiently waiting for an order of some sort.

“Kitty, follow me”, Hiei ordered harshly and I just nodded smiling not caring if he was rude or not, I just wanted someone to be my friend other than Koenma. I followed Hiei obediently though a portal and it took us to a huge city but as not to make Hiei angry I tried my very best not to fall behind him.
“Hey, Cutie, how bout I buy ya some candy?”, a guy asked but when I turned to him I saw that the person was Him, the guy stuck in my memory for doing something really bad, six feet tall, Long red hair, green eyes, and red clothes, but this guy didn’t look exactly the same as Him though I still freaked out. I grabbed Hiei’s arm hiding my face away and whimpering in fear trying to let Hiei know I’m scared.

‘Kitty, what is it?’ came Hiei’s harsh voice in my head making me calm a little but only enough to tell him and not burst out crying by my own words.

‘Please, Hiei-Kun, get us away from Him’ I begged in my head hiding and after a moment Hiei picked me up holding me close to himself with my face hidden in between his neck and shoulder. As soon as I had my legs wrapped around his waist and my arms around his neck while he held me up, he ran off in some unknown direction at a fast speed, but I didn’t care because I trust Hiei with my life already. I t seemed like forever until we stopped that pace and I felt so much calmer I was about to fall asleep but as soon as he stopped I awoke smiling happily at the temple.

“Is this where we will be staying, Hiei-Kun?”, I asked smiling happily and he just nodded before starting on his way up to the door of the temple.

“Hiei, is this the girl we are to care for?”, came a gentle voice from my left and right after I looked at Him I hid my face once again in fear thinking He would get me.

‘Why are you afraid of, the fox, Kurama?’ Hiei asked quieter in my head and I thought a moment figuring, if Hiei trusts this look alike Him then I will, too.

‘Hiei-Kun, do you trust, H-Kurama?’ I asked, almost calling Kurama Him, shivering as I hid my face deeper and after I spoke he jumped slightly before I felt him look down at me as if wondering something before he answered.

‘With my life’ he said quietly as if afraid someone else may hear and I moved away nodded knowing already that I was going to listen to Hiei above all else.

‘Okay, Hiei-Kun, if you trust him I will try my best to as well but I’m still scared of him’ I explained smiling calmly hugging Hiei before pulling back to look at the man that could be the man who did something horrible sometime in my past.

“Kur-Kurama, I-I am Ki-Kitty”, I stuttered out trying to use the safe feeling from Hiei to help but I still couldn’t hide my great fear of this man from my voice or smile, which turned out quite nervous looking compared to what I wanted.

“Kitty, you have nothing to fear from me”, he said trying to stop my fear but I also knew that bad people say that too, to make it easier to use people and the only thing that kept me calm was that fact that I was still safe in Hiei’s arms away from all bad.

“I’m sorry Kurama-san, I can’t remember anything in my past besides a fuzzy picture of a man that looks a lot like you, and Hiei-Kun, told me to trust you and I will try but I don’t know”, I tried to explain my feelings in the nicest way and less nervous but to myself it didn’t make either of those expectations making me look away back to my hiding place in shame though, after I hid again, to make matters worse my stomach growled very loudly compared to the silence.

“Kitty, I’ll go make you some breakfast, Hiei, why don’t you show her around so she won’t get lost if she’s ever alone”, he said calmly smiling oblivious to the fact that I flinched pulling closer to Hiei in fear of the thought of being alone, again. I felt Hiei get angry, nod, then finally walk around to the other side of the temple away from Kurama and after a few moments I started to look around at this new home of mine. There were bunches of trees to my left and the temple to my right but the flowers in front of the temple are what caught my eyes because I wanted to do something nice for Hiei.

“Hiei-Kun, May I go pick some flowers?”, I asked smiling sweetly because now that I am alone with Hiei-Kun I know that I can be strong and not cower away from all the bad but I just don’t know about all those Him around or what they might do to me.

“Go ahead (put me down) I’m going inside that door there”, he said going on to tell me where he was going to be and pointing there so I knew for sure, but, of course, I just smiled happily up at him before nodding as I ran over the flowers. I started picking the most beautiful flowers I could find in the garden smelling each of them happily, but after a moment of picking I had more than enough flowers for Hiei or anyone else in the house, I think, so I ran inside giggling with a huge smile on my face. I ran into the door Hiei had walked in to find myself in a big living room and a pretty lady with long light green hair putting some tea on the table in the center of the room, but turned to me surprised before smiling in a very nice way making me smile, too!

“Hello, you must be the little girl, Hiei-sama, is taking care of with Kurama-sama, My name is Yukina, it’s very nice to meet you! What’s you name?” ,she asked smiling so nicely at me that I just wanted to hug her, but then again my arms were full of flowers so, I just smiled as big as I possible could trying to look cute and she giggled at my cuteness.

“Hello, Yukina-chan, my name is Kitten! Yes, Hiei-kun, is taking very good care of me, but do you know where he is? I got him some very pretty flowers for getting me away from scary red haired man! Do you think he will like them?” ,I asked the very nice lady, Yukina, hoping with all my heart that Hiei-kun would love them and Yukina just smiled a very big smile, but before I could ask her again she answered.

“Yes, I think that he will love them and he went into the training room! I’ll take you there, but wouldn’t you like it better if they were in vase and even easier to carry? Because I have two of those very vases!” ,she explained smiling the same as before and I couldn’t help, but jump up and down excited that I could make the flowers even better.

“Yes, Yukina-chan, I would love that and I think, Hiei-kun, would love that too!” ,I said happily smiling hoping that this would make Hiei-kun happier and the two of us walked into the kitchen before putting my flowers in two vases, but one went on the table as I took the other slightly smaller one for Hiei-kun!

“There! Now, the kitchen is pretty, too, and, now, let’s take that vase to Hiei-sama, okay?” ,she asked smiling at me like I was the most important girl to her and I felt very special as I nodded, but when we got there a very tall man with orange hair fell back towards me knocking my vase out of my hands breaking the vase along with ruining the flowers I had picked especially for Hiei-kun! I could feel the tears well up as I looked down at my ruined present and when I looked up at the man he was looking very sorry, but that didn’t help I felt like I had failed Hiei-kun after he saved me, too!

“Oh, Kitten-chan, it’s okay, Hiei-sama, will understand! Come here” ,she said in a very nice voice as I cried into my hands and she picked me up carrying me into the training room, but as soon as we walked in I looked around for Hiei-kun, finding him standing there with his sword. As soon as I found him I wiggled out of Yukina’s hold running over to Hiei-kun and hugging him burying my face into his stomach crying harder into his stomach, but before I could even try to explain in my stat, Hiei-kun, picked me up holding me close to himself as he did when I saw Him.

“What happened?” ,Hiei-kun asked the others in a very angry tone making me feel bad before he held me tighter and I calmed down crying silently to myself, but still listened to what was happening around me as started to fall into a light sleep.

“Hiei-sama, Kitten-chan, was so very excited about how she had gotten you a bunch of flowers and we had put them in a vase for you, but before we could get in here, Kazuma-kun, accidentally knocked the flowers out of her hands and she felt like it was her fault! Kazuma-kun, you should go pick some more flowers for her, she worked so hard to pick them in the garden and make them perfect, please would you for, poor Kitten-chan?” ,Yukina asked after she was finished explaining to Hiei-kun and I could tell as soon as Yukina-chan said that this Kazuma-san knocked the flowers out of my hands Hiei-kun became very angry, but calmed down when Yukina-chan asked him to go pick me some more flowers, probably hoping that would make me feel better which it would make me feel so very much better though I’d still give them to Hiei-kun! I fell asleep before I could hear weather Kazuma-san agreed or disagreed and I felt really bad to had fell asleep on Hiei-kun, but when I awoke Hiei-kun was sitting on the window seal, though what made me smile was the flowers on the table that Kazuma-san must have gotten for me to give to Hiei-kun yesterday when I was asleep, I should thank him!

“Good morning, Hiei-kun! I’m really sorry for ruining your flowers and falling asleep on you and thank you for everything! Hiei-kun? Could you pretty please help me find Kazuma-san? So, that I can thank him!” ,I asked smiling happily at Hiei-kun after he looked at me trying my very best to look cute and he looked at me for a moment, but after that he nodded before picking me up walking out of the room to look for Kazuma-san! It didn’t take Hiei-kun very long to find Kazuma-san, but he was eating at the table, so, Hiei-kun just put me into a chair and before too long Yukina-chan laid a plate of breakfast in front of me making me smile happily up at her!

“Here you go, Kitten-chan”, Yukina-chan said just smiling happily back before walking back into the kitchen and I turned back to Kazuma-san smiling happily, but he just looked at me confused, he must have forgotten what he had done for me!

“I just wanted to thank you for picking the flowers for me! From yesterday? Thank you so very much, Kazuma-san!” ,
