Kurama's Friend - New Student

A nice warm sunny school day. Girls giggling, some boys glaring with envy, but he was used to it. A new student is at his school. She transferred from America and is supposedly very good academically, even comparable to him.

He went to his normal first period class, sat about in the middle of the class. His red hair glowing in the sunlight shining through the window. The teacher called for everyone's attention. The new student was here. She walked through the door. He looked up at her.

She was dressed in the school uniform. She had a mixture of dark and light brown hair. She wore a flower in her hair and what looked like a flower bracelet and what somewhat looked like a vine to tie her hair with. She obviously loved plants.

"This, everyone, is Janea from America. She is a straight A student and very good roll model. An activist, dancer, singer and all around great!!" The teacher introduced enthusiastically.

Janea blushed from the introduction. "Um... thanks..." She said in a soft voice. She took a seat toward the front on the far right hand side.

"You know... a bunch of bees are gunna come after you..." A girl whispered to her looking at all the plants on her.

"No they won't. All the pollen was taken out, they wouldn't have a reason to come to the flowers." Janea said pretty nicely.

"Hmph..." The girl said and turned back to the teacher.

Janea was surprised at the reaction she got. She looked down at her bracelet and back at the teacher. She felt very out of place. `This gunna be a long school year.....' She thought to herself.

Kurama looked at her. He felt that she knew her from somewhere. Not from school or anything but, that he met her before. Janea looked back at Kurama after feeling someone was looking at her. Their eyes locked for a few seconds then they both looked back up at the teacher.

Janea sat by herself next to a tree. She quietly ate an apple while doing some school work to catch up with the class. The tree seemed to not move, not even the when the wind blew the leaves. The leaves stayed in one spot shading Janea.

Kurama sat a lunch table with some of his friends from school. He was eating a sandwich until he noticed the tree. "What...?"

Janea felt someone looking at her again. She looked up and saw Kurama again. `Why does he keep looking at me??' Kurama turned his attention back to the sandwich and Janea took another bite from her apple and went back to the homework.

Janea was walking out of the school since school was over. She held a backpack that appeared to be full. She walked off the road and straight into the forest.

Kurama could've sworn she knew this girl. He silently followed her but when he looked around she was gone. He tried to sense for energy, but it was gone. "She disappeared...."

Kurama walked back to the road and seemed as though something was watching from the trees.

He walked home still trying to remember where he met Janea. "What's your problem?" Hiei `greeted' as his friend walked into his room.

"Huh? Oh it's nothing," Kurama lied.

"Hn.... a girl in your class..." Hiei stated reading the fox's mind.

Kurama snapped up at him but went to his bed and sat down. "I feel like I've known her from somewhere... but I can't remember."
