Kltp: Hello all! I'm sorry that it took so long for me to update but I was soooo busy lately!

K: that's still no excuse

Kltp: *tears in her eyes* I know but I am still sorry!

H: Whatever, just get on with the story already

Ku: Katslovetoplay doesn't own Yu Yu Hakusho but she does own Kiru, Kira, and Riku.

Kltp: Thanks for still reading my story!

Kira stood above Kana and punched her hard, sending her into a nearby wall. Hiei made himself busy with getting Riku's body away from the priestess. Kana recovered and lunged at Riku's body and grabbed her arm, “No! You won't take my only chance to get Koharu back away from me!” Kira appeared next to her and grabbed her arm, squeezing tightly, digging her claws into Kana's skin as she fully changed into her kitsune form. Kana bit her lip as she held onto Riku tightly but released a few seconds later and pulled away, pulling Kira's claws out of her skin.

“Do not ever touch Riku again.” Kiru said her eyes narrowing and that was when Kana noticed her red eyes. Kana took a few steps back in fear but her back soon hit the wall. Kira looked at her with a malicious glint in her eyes and she smirked at the fear evident in Kana's, “Hand over the necklace.” Kira stated and held out her hand.

Kana just held the gem in her hand and shook her head, “Koharu would kill me.” She said in a shaky voice and Kira's eyes glowed for a minute.

“What makes you think I won't?” Kana sank to the floor her eyes wide with horror staring up at Kira.

“No, I won't give it to you.” She said as she curled into a ball to protect the necklace.

“That is the wrong answer.” Kira said as she reached for Kana's hand but Kana bit her. Kira did not respond but removed her hand from Kana's only to move it to her neck. She held a tight grasp as she lifted the woman of the ground and punched her in the gut. Kana grunted and kicked at Kira. Kira, knowing she was going to enjoy this fight released Kana's throat and waited as Kana stood and got into a fighting stance, “I am going to enjoy ending you life.” Kira said as she too got in her fighting stance.

They both waited a minute before they lunged at each other. Kana aimed a fist to Kira's head but Kira blocked and tried to return the favor but hers was dodged. Kira then began swiping at Kana without stopping and growled when Kana blocked. Kana smiled as she charged at Kira and punched her but her smile disappeared when Kira did not acknowledge the punch but instead clawed at Kana's face. Kana flew into the wall she had flown into earlier from Kira's punch and laid in the rubble for a second, catching her breath as Kira approached her with an emotionless face. Kana kicked Kira who ended up flying back into the opposite wall and Kana began chanting a spell that caused a glowing pink ball form in her hands and grow bigger by the second. Kira, seeing this stood up and raised her right arm.

Kana released the ball that flew at Kira but the ball was stopped when it reached ten feet in front of Kira by the jaws of a flaming fox. The fox's jaws shut and the ball of energy disintegrated. “Good Haven. Now Kana, hand over the necklaces or you will be Haven's next meal.”

Kana just smirked and said, “ You can't. If you sick your fox on me the necklace would be destroyed and your precious Riku will die along with me.” Kana did not see Hiei, who was watching, sneak up behind her.

“We'll manage to avoid that problem.” Hiei lunged forward and ripped the necklace from Kana's neck from behind and Haven charged at Kana.

When Haven returned to Kira's arm, Kana was nothing but a pile of ashes. Kira walked over to where Riku was on the ground and placed the necklace down next to her. “What do we do now?” Kira asked Hiei who just shook his head. Kira fumed and she shouted, “Damn this stupid necklace!” Kira began pounding her fists on the floor and the last time she did it, she accidentally hit the necklace, smashing it to pieces. Kira stared, her eyes wide. “No.” She said softly, her eyes filling with tears. Hiei wrapped his arm around her and she turned, crying into his chest. Kurama and Blaze arrived at the seen at that time and stared at the pile of ashes in the corner and Kiru crying into Hiei's chest while the pendant they had looked up was smashed.

Gasping made Kira look up and she followed Hiei's gaze until she saw a white object floating in the air before it flew over Riku's chest and sunk into it. Riku's body shuddered for a second, as if the body was going to reject the soul that entered it before it laid still and Riku sat up swiftly, gasping, only to be pushed to the ground again when both Blaze and Kira tackled her. The three smiled and hugged each other until they finally let Riku sit up.

“If you ever do that to me again, Riku, I will kill you myself.” Blaze warned her sister, earning her a punch in the arm from said person. Kira smiled before turning her attention to her brother who was waiting by the door, a smile on his face.

“Well Blaze,” Kira said meaningfully and Blaze looked up at her, “Why don't we take that soul to Koenma?” Kira indicated the jarred soul with her hand but Blaze followed Kira's gaze on her brother before a knowing smile crept over both female fire demons faces. “Hey Hiei, can you take us there?” Hiei, having already looked into Kira's mind and understood what she wanted him to do nodded and Kira grabbed the jar. Blaze and Hiei were already out the door when Kira stuck her head back in, “Now, have fun you two.” A smirk graced Kira's lips when they both blushed as Riku rose to her feet and Kira left through the portal Hiei had summoned.

Kurama smiled slightly at Riku and gave her a rose. “Welcome back.”

Riku blushed again as she accepted it and meekly said, “Thank you.” Kurama's smile grew and he pecked her on the cheek. He offered Riku his arm and she accepted it and they walked out of the temple.

Kira smiled, showing her fangs when she set the jar on Koenma's desk. “Here he is. Make sure he suffers.” Koenma looked amazed.

“You caught him that easily?” he asked and all three demons shook their heads.

“Anything but.” Blaze said. “We had to go against a psychotic, demon priestess, who happened to be in love with Koharu and freeing Riku's soul from an amulet.”

“That sounds like a fun mission.” Koenma said sarcastically as an ogre came and took Koharu's soul away, “But know that Koharu's soul is going to be stuck here with no chance of freedom.”

Kira sighed in relief and graciously gave control back to Kiru. Exhausted as the day caught up with her, Kiru sat down on the couch and rested her cheek against the cool black leather as Blaze filled Koenma in on the details. Her eyes drifted closed and the next thing she knew, someone kept poking her, trying to get her to open her eyes. When she did open her eyes a black blob stood before her with red circled blobs above the black blob. “Wha?” She asked, her words slurred with sleep.

“We can go now.” A voice said and it soon registered in her brain as Hiei's voice.

“Otay.” Kiru said as her eyes closed again and she began to slip off to the land of sleep. That is until the poking returned. This time Kiru did not open her eyes, swatting meekly at the hand that poked her. “Go `way.” Kiru mumbled and Hiei got agitated. He slipped an arm under her knees and the other around her back and picked her up, carrying her from the room. Kiru was about to protest but she was too far gone into Dreamland so she let it slide. Gripping the fabric of Hiei's cloak, she was soon asleep.

Hiei walked into Kiru's house and was glad that everyone was in their rooms so no one saw him carry Kiru upstairs. He was sure if Kurama saw, he would be teased until the end of time. He kicked open the door to her room and shut it behind him and walked to the bed where he gently set Kiru down but when he went to stand up straight he realized that she had a death grip on his cloak. He sighed as he laid down next to her and took a small nap himself.

When Kiru woke, she realized she was not in Koenma's office anymore but in her own room. She sat up slowly and felt something slip off her and she was suddenly cold. She looked down to see it was Hiei's cloak. A small smile crept up her lips as she raised the fabric and rubbed her cheek against it. After a moment she stopped and carefully got out of bed. She took a quick shower before she dressed in a white spaghetti strap shirt, black miniskirt, white and black striped socks, and black combat boots. She added some white eye shadow and black lipstick, and brushed out her hair before she walked downstairs, Hiei's cloak folded over her arm and noticed that no one was there. She found a note that said they were all at Genkai's temple and that she could meet them there when she woke up. After she finished the note she slipped on Hiei's cloak before she walked outside and flitted towards Genkai's temple.

When she arrived, she stopped in a tree on the edge of the clearing of the temple. She smiled as she sat down on the branched and her excellent eyesight let her peer through the window to see all her friends there laughing and Kiru smiled when she noticed Kurama sitting closer to Riku than normal. Kiru watched them for a moment before she decided to join them. She walked to the front door and knocked. Hiei answered the door because the rest were to busy laughing and he smirked at her when he realized that she was wearing his cloak. “Nice cloak.” He said as she stepped past him.

“I know, isn't it? Comfy though but I guess you already know that since you let me use it as a blanket.” It was her turn to smirk as she took the cloak off and she knew he liked her outfit. She handed him his cloak as she walked into the living room.

“Hey Kiru!” Yusuke shouted and his greeting was followed by everyone else's.

“Hey guys. Thanks for letting me sleep in and miss the party.” Kiru said as she took Hiei's seat on the window but she sat facing them.

“Hey, that's a good idea! Let's have a party tonight!” Kuwabara shouted and most people agreed. Hiei walked into the room and gave Kiru a glare when he saw that she was in her seat.

He walked up next to her and said, “Onna, get out of my seat.”

Kiru looked up at him out of the corner of her eye and said, “Make me.”

The room was quiet as they watched the exchange until Yusuke said, “Kiru, you expect to beat Hiei in a skirt?”

“I can fight in anything, even a skirt.” Kiru replied, not taking her eyes off Hiei. She waited and Hiei smirked at her. Then he charged. Kiru gracefully dodged and the two fire demons raced around the house. The finally place of their battle was on the roof and there they had no spectators. Hiei once again attacked her and she dodged before retaliating. He too managed to move out of the way in time and he aimed a punch at her that hit her in the stomach, knocking her to the ground. He stood above her with a victorious smirk on his face.

“I win.” He stated cockily and Kiru swept his feet out from under him making him end up on the floor next to her where she pinned him down.

“Are you so sure?” she asked, a large smile on her face but his smirk did not disappear.

“Yes.” He said as he flipped them over. “Do you surrender?” he asked, all high and mighty.

“Never,” she said and they began to tumble back and forward. Finally Hiei managed to pin her down successfully.

“Now I win.” He said and Kiru sighed.

“I guess I give up for now.” She said softly. Hiei smiled a true small smile and he leaned down, his lips softly connecting with hers. Kiru was slightly surprised but she soon got over it as she deepened it. After a few seconds, he pulled away and stood up, reaching for her arm to help her up. Kiru accepted his help and brushed herself off. Hiei watched her as he did the same before walking to the edge of the roof.

He turned to look at her before he left and said, “I like your outfit,” before he disappeared off the roof. A slight blush appeared on Kiru's cheeks and she was glad that no one there saw it before she too jumped off the roof and walked through the door to the living room. Hiei was once again in his window seat when she entered the room.

“So Kiru, who won?” Yusuke asked as Kiru walked over to his chair seeing as it was the one closest to the window.

“Hiei obviously. Now I am kicking you out of your seat.” Kiru pulled Yusuke out of his seat and was sitting in it before he could recover.

“What was that for?” he shouted loudly.

“You don't expect me to sit on the floor in a mini skirt do you?” She asked softly turning fake innocent eyes up at him.

“Yes.” Yusuke replied but ended up getting hit in the head by Keiko.

“For once in your life, be nice Yusuke.” She said as she returned to her seat and Yusuke sat on the floor next to his girlfriend, obviously sulking.

Just then Yukina walked into the room and announced, “Dinner's ready,” and she had to move to the side quickly so she wasn't run over by Kuwabara and Yusuke as they sprinted into the dining room. Everyone else sweatdropped as they followed at a slower pace. As soon as everyone was at the table they began to dig in and the room was filled with conversation. Kiru chatted about random things with Yukina who was sitting next to her while Riku talked with Kurama and Keiko talked with Botan. Hiei sat quietly on Kiru's other side while wincing as he watched as Yusuke and Kuwabara talk with their mouths full. After dinner they all flooded back into the living room and put in a scary movie. Kiru rolled her eyes at the stupidity of the ningen movie and looked at the other people in the room. Keiko was clinging tight to Yusuke while Kuwabara was doing the same to Yukina. Botan was hiding under a blanket that had been resting on the back of the couch and Kurama and Riku weren't watching the movie, chatting with each other instead and when she looked over at Hiei she smirked when she saw that he was asleep. Kiru watched him for a few seconds before she decided that he had a good idea so she too fell asleep.

When the movie was over they sat in silence as the credits rolled until Kiru stood up and turned on the lights. “Okay, that was boring.” She said as she flopped gracefully back into her chair.

“You thought that was boring?” Kuwabara asked and Kiru nodded.

“Well, what do you want to do now?” Riku inquired.
