Labeled Insane
Part 5: Say It Ain't So
Shuuichi woke up with the sunrays striking his face. He shut his eyes and turned over. He snuggled up to the warmth that encased him. It was then he realized that blankets don't have heartbeats. He slowly opened his eyes and hoped that last night was really only a dream. Looking he realized it wasn't and right now this wasn't the time to panic. It was time to get out of there.
It was such a cheap method but he had to. He stealthily got up while unwinding Yoko's arm from around his waist. He didn't want to have someone disturb him. He picked up his clothes and was about to dress had he not been pulled back into the bed. He stared at the doctor's glaring amber eyes. He gulped in nervousness. He should've killed the doctor when he had the chance.
"Sorry, I disturbed you from trying to escape," Yoko said coldly. Shuuichi didn't like this situation one bit. "I don't like to play games. But get one thing straight; you're not going out anywhere unless I prove that you're sane. You'll immediately be sent to prison. They were able to connect you to a few murders that I'm sure you committed yourself."
He got off him and placed his clothes back on.
"Get cleaned. You're coming with me. We're going into town today."
-------------------------
Shuuichi fell in step behind Yoko. He was following so he wouldn't get caught and probably get scolded. They were, something people find horrid, except for cooks, is grocery shopping. Shuuichi was pushing the cart and having to endure the most torture of being servant for a day he bet. If someone saw them he'd say it was training a juvenile delinquent. Of course it was all a lie to satisfy the public. It's not like anyone would believe a child or someone looking like a child.
Go to war when you're eighteen, privileged to drink when you're twenty-one. Sad but true.
Yoko glanced a few times at the redhead. He just wanted to see if he would actually attempt to run. It didn't matter since that hair color stands out around here. Finally getting everything he needed he picked the shortest line to pay in. As much as he had to he hated grocery shopping.
-------------------------
The two were now back at the house. They were relieved. The horror of shopping wasn't one thing they were really accustomed too. Yoko began to put the things away as Shuuichi was sitting on a stool. He was on a constant 24/7 watch. The silver-haired man wasn't letting him out of his sight. That really ticked him off but at least he hoped he would be able to find out a few things before he was able to get out and continue his job if Botan would really let him.
Yoko glared at the phone. Seeing as how it was the thing that saved his sanity. It was Kuronue who got him into this business but of course there were other jobs too. He just hoped that he would be able to get one and chain the kid to the bed. This time with more restriction. He couldn't wait to go on a rampage against his other employer.
As if the heavens himself answered his plea the phone began to ring. There were only a few people who knew this number. Picking it up he made sure that he was able to see the redhead. Ah, what luck it happened to be his employer. Picking up the phone he answered. He spoke in hush tones so the redhead wouldn't hear him. He placed hung the phone on the receiver when he finished. Then he walked over to the redhead grasping his wrist and dragged him back to his room.
Shuuichi was thrown on the bed and was chained up again. This time with more restraints. He struggled vainly since it was no use anyways.
"What the hell?!" Shuuichi shrieked as Yoko finished.
"I'm going out for a while. This is just to make sure you don't make any phone calls or escape. You've proven so many times that you're not capable of trust. Don't wait up." He said before leaning down and giving Shuuichi a kiss.
He attempted to push him away with his free hand. It was proven useless as always. Yoko pulled away and smirked before walking towards the door.
"You bastard!" Shuuichi yelled out throwing the statue at him but hit the semi-closed door instead. He heard a chuckle before the door closed. He sighed. It was going to be a long night.
-------------------------
Yoko locked the doors securely. It didn't matter. Shuuichi couldn't get out even if he tried. So the doctor began to walk towards the busy side of town where he was supposed to meet his friend for the next assignment. At least he was able to get a break from being a damn doctor. As much as it seemed to look easy, it wasn't. Being a psychiatrist extends it a little bit more. He thought he himself would go insane. He handles other people problems yet he couldn't handle his own. It didn't matter anyways. He had no problems. The only problem he had was chained to a bed and wouldn't escape for probably another five hours. Yoko had plenty of time.
Looking around he spotted a familiar black hair. He mentally cursed, as his luck would have it. Now he was just regretting ever coming here. He did his best to avoid that man but sorry to say he stands out since he's almost taller than that crowd and his hair is possible to tell from the others. He froze as he felt a familiar touch on his shoulder. He mentally growled in annoyance. Looking to his side he saw Kuronue grinning at him.
"Hey pal, it's been a while. Want to head over for a drink?" Kuronue asked pointing his thumb to the bar they were standing in front of. Yoko nodded in defeat. He couldn't just say no. Besides, he was going to make his friend pay the drinks for him. He'd make sure of it. Right now he just needed to know his next target.
The two old friends sat at a table as a waitress came and got their order.
"So, who's my next target?" Yoko asked. Kuronue gave him a smirk.
"I'm sure you'll enjoy bedding this one first before actually killing. It's one of Botan's assassins," Kuronue said piping his friend's interest.
"Again? Last time I tried that he told me to cancel it and go kill someone else."
"That was because they got together now they broke up again. Anyways Koenma wants you to kill this one immediately."
Kuronue produced a manila folder from his coat and handed it to Yoko. He took it and froze for a moment as his gaze landed on the name and picture.
"Yeah, a regulation hottie. Too bad it's a guy. Though I doubt you mind you greedy bisexual bastard." Kuronue commented. He then looked at his silver-haired friend that had his head down with a smirk on his lips about ready to laugh. "Hey Yoko you alright?" he asked his friend.
"Heh, heh… You mean to tell me… I have to get rid of this brat!" Yoko stated before going to a fit laughter.
"Dammit, we haven't even hit the drinks yet and you're all ready drunk."
The waitress came setting down their drinks and sweatdropping. She walked away hurriedly to serve the next customer. Kuronue raised a brow in question. He wondered if his friend was actually turning nuts with his other job that he betted with. It was a while before Yoko calmed down. He sighed and his expression turned serious.
"I bet Botan is going to get one of her people to kill me," he said.
"Yeah, but Koenma isn't really worried about you. Besides he thinks you could take him. He labels you on of the best."
"Like I care. Anyways it's too late to bed this one anyways."
"Why's that?"
"Because…I already have."
-------------------------
Yoko came back after having a few drinks. Right now he was having a headache. Plus he had work tomorrow. He told Kuronue to tell Koenma that he'd kill the kid when he wanted to but it will be done. He couldn't just kill the kid yet. Walking into the redhead's room he checked to see him asleep. There were no signs that he tried to escape or anything. Either the kid was behaving or acting. Better safe than sorry.
He took the blanket and placed it over Shuuichi's sleeping form then walked out of the room. He really needed to get his issues straightened out.
-------------------------
Shuuichi woke up. He was pretty surprised to find that his wrists and ankle didn't have that cold and hurt feeling. He blinked sleep out of his eyes and rested his hand on his forehead. It took him a while to realize…that there were no restraints on him. He sat up abruptly already making a bit mistake. A wave of dizziness hit him and he fell back on the bed. He groaned in pain.
And it was just in time for the doctor to come in with lunch. Shuuichi sat up trying to look ready for any of the silver-haired doctor's surprises. But failed miserably. He was still dead tired since he was paranoid all night searching for someone spying on him. It felt like it. Maybe Botan was looking for him. That wouldn't be good. He calmly ate the food presented to him and didn't like the look the doctor was giving him. Dammit he felt like a prisoner. Not that that it was the treatment he was given but still. The doctor could be a little nicer.
Well he was grateful this time since Yoko had his eyes closed, maybe thinking. Shuuichi didn't want to know what the psychotic, abusive, perverted doctor was thinking. Or maybe he was tired and was falling asleep. That would be a positive idea on Shuuichi's side. Seeing as how it was a perfect chance to escape.
Shuuichi carefully placed the tray on the table as silently as he could. Luckily the table was behind the doctor. He stealthily walked towards the door unaware that amber eyes were watching him from behind. His hand gripped the doorknob. His mind was debating on whether or not he should actually go through with this. His paranoia is telling him that he was being watched but none other than the other occupant but his other self was saying this was a once in a lifetime chance! Following the latter he opened the door silently thanking whatever higher force up there that it wasn't squeaky.
Unfortunately, before he could get very far he was dragged back inside, the door shut in front of him, and he was pinned against the wall. He winced as he felt his back hurt a little from being on the wall. He shuddered as he felt a warm breath breathe down his neck.
"Just where do you think you're going?" his captor asked. Shuuichi glared at Yoko.
"The bathroom dumb ass," Shuuichi answered.
"There's a bathroom here, why didn't you use it?"
"Because, genius, it's locked since it has a window that would graciously let me out of this hell hole."
Yoko smirked looking right into emerald green eyes. Shuuichi just glared back.
"Feisty, I like that. You're going to be an enjoyable target," Yoko said before pulling away and walking towards the desk. Shuuichi looked at him in confusion.
"What are you talking about?" Shuuichi asked obviously not getting it.
"You work for Botan, right?" Yoko answered turning around with a manila folder in his hand.
"You've just been marked as my next target."
