Two months later.
Noizu is sitting around in Hiei's apartment watching tv waiting out the airing of their new commercials. They did this once before back when they first started out doing endorcements for advertizers and commercials for themselves when they were promoting an album. Their success has gone up quite a bit since their tour more and more people are playing their music on the radio and fans are buying cd's like its a new kind of candy and they're all hooked.
"Here it comes!" Says Kuronue pointing a finger at the television.
A white mist clears from the room and standing their within it is Hiei.
The three of them cheer for the male, Kuronue gripped his friends shoulder giving it a squeeze. The shorter male hated watching his self in these things he felt like a dork, but it was fun doing the song for it. Odd in a way because he wrote out lyrics thinking of Kurama but when Sawada read them over he didn't tell him to change them and the people doing the cologne add thought it was a good concept underneath.
Back on the screen; Hiei is walking down a nearly baren plaza, hands in pockets, head down until another male comes up to pass him. They gave him a blond wig and blue eye contacts for this part. This Hiei is walking with his head high, hands in his pockets glancing at the dark haired Hiei as he passes by. In the background he sings.
It's meaning is generally respect, reverance, honor, and innocence.
"No one's here in this quiet little plaza I still remember the two of us.
I wonder if he knew, What attracted us to each other..."
The Hiei with his black hair smirks a bit then turns a little to glance back at the male as he's fully past him now to see that his blond self did much of the same only with a little more confidence.
"Gazing at each other with fleeting looks...
He was smiling kindly, Each time I noticed his sign..."
The screen begins to smoke over again as the camera shoots up towards the sky.
"And words were never even exchanged...
Now, the dream-like phantom is inside my memories
As the looks of that time have faded."
The group cheered and applauded when at the end of the commercial a man's voice came over to say: "Respect, reverance, honor, and innocents. Freesia colonge."
Fist pounding on the arm of the chair, Yusuke says. "That was sick! I wish I got to do sexy commercials like that."
Botan nods to agree. "That's gonna fly off the shelves- I might even buy some for Koenma."
"What does that stuff even smell like?" Questions the male, already objective to the gift idea.
Leaning close to him, Hiei says. "I'm wearing some, smell."
Leaning in, Koenma sniffs the males neck. "It smells like cream soda."
"Does it?" Hiei grabs a bit of his shirt in front then gives it a few quick pats sniffing the cologne that wafts up to his nose. "It does smell like cream soda a little."
The others lean in to give the male a whiff.
"Yeah," smiles Yusuke. "And I think a little rose scent?" Grinning like a pervert, he adds. "You smell as pretty as a girl, Hiei."
Shrinking away from the rat pack Hiei waves his hands when they don't back off. "Alright, alright. The bottles in the bathroom if you want a smell that badly. Idiots."
"Ha ha, last time I compliment you." Crossing the room he grabs his sneakers. Now that the show they were sitting through has come back. "You guys want pizza? I could go get us some?" He juts his thumb over his shoulder.
"Yeah," Hiei gets up as well. "I'll go with you." Heading over to the door he plucks his boots from the floor.
"Record the rest of the show incase some more commercials come up." Says the drummer, slipping a foot into his Nike's.
The other two band members just waved a hand like an old folks couple sending their adolesent grandchildren out for candy to give them some alone time. Yusuke and Hiei leave the Yeoh males penthouse and take the elevator down to the lobby. He bought the place after the money from their sales came in from the single they did with Kuwabara on 'Dyybuk'. The fans have never heard sound like that and Sawada even agreed to let them do a rock cd after their next cd 'Private Thoughts' came out. So it looked like their songs will get to be heard after all, though, he did say he would call him about the details of a little arrangement he cooked up. Hiei wasn't sure what that meant but he was open for anything since the man agreed to let them play the songs they worked painstakingly on over the time he asked them to come to Tokyo.
Shades and hats in place the two walk outside. It is weird being recognized, Kuronue barely made it home when Hiei pointed him out to those fans. He lost his coat! And a brand new pair of sunglasses. Bayuu would probably be gone as well if he hadn't snapped the ferret up before dashing off. Hiei apologized seven times over but his best friend insisted that there would be pay back and two months later Hiei continues to wait out the retaliation but with some hope that the almost bat rather than bird like male had changed his mind in sinking his teeth into him. Kuronue had confessed during last month that he was kind of jealous of Kurama, he never met the guy and he didn't know what he was after in dating him and it somewhat pissed him off. For a moment Hiei thought that Kuronue was a little too sterdy in his reason, but the male explained that he wasn't into him in the least he just wanted to make sure that some creep didn't hurt him and that's all it was. But he did argue his way into living with him at the penthouse which Hiei agreed to. Koenma and Yusuke got a place together as agreed and things have remained up hill, the move away from each other didn't change any of their friendships in the least so no complaints on anyones part. There was still the problem of breaking the news of him and Kurama to his other friends. Yusuke might not care, but Koenma is straight he might not like the idea of playing for him anymore if he finds out. And what about Botan, would she tell the fanclub? There were too many things to consider.
"Hey you in there?" Says Yusuke at Hiei's side. Reaching out a hand, he snags the male back two steps. "I said we're here. Unless you're going someplace else first?"
Noticing the neon sign in the window of the pizza parlor, he shakes his head. "I was just thinking that's all." Grabbing the handle on the door he holds it open for the drummer.
Eyeing him suspiciously a moment, he shakes it off. "You know that your forehead wrinkles when you get serious like that." He laughs popping Hiei on the forehead with his fist. Stepping inside the pizza place he heads over to the counter to order.
Hiei remains by the door, eyes looking around the place from behind his shades. Its too dark inside to really see anything, it made Hiei wonder why a lot of pizza restaurants are dark? Is it the fake wood wallpaper? The people inside are thankfully paying attention to themselves although some of the younger people did turn to look at the counter when they heard Yusuke speak, but seeing the peeks of brown hair coming from under the drummers hat they turn away.
Turning to face the large window since he'd rather look out at the street. Hiei ponders. Maybe I should glue some fake hair to my hat? Just as he's about to return his gaze into the shop a patch of red hair caught his eye only this time it wasn't his imagination it really is Kurama! Shoving the door open, he heads across the street after the male.
Yusuke turns around. "Hey, what do you want on... yours..." his words trail. "Where'd he go?"
Hiei followed after the male not too closely but just close enough, dashing down the street while moving this way and that out of oncoming traffic of people. When he was close enough he called out. "Kurama!" But the red head continued down the street as if he hadn't heard a thing. Trying again to get his attention, since he has yet to catch up to his long stride. "Kurama!" Slowing down a bit, he cocks his head. Maybe it isn't him after all. But he continues to walk after the male.
It wasn't until he stopped at an outdoor fruit market that Hiei confirmed that it was his red head he's been following. Kurama has earphones in, no wonder he didn't hear him. Hiding now at the side of a building close to the fruit market, Hiei watched as the male picked up a pear then an apple; he seems to be pondering over which one he wants. Tucking his self back behind the building a bit more when the cute boy raised his head, he then peeks a red gaze around the edge of the wall to see that Kurama's smiling up at someone. Setting the apple down, he removes an ear piece then speaks with someone beyond the glass window. Returning his ear piece he then grabs a couple more of each fruit then drops them into a bag. When the red head was inside the store Hiei emerged from his hiding place taking a few paces forward. He wondered if the shades and hat would keep the male from recognizing him? Time to find out.
Kurama walked out of the store, bag of fruit in hand- it looks like he grabbed a few other items when inside and he started down the street not even glancing over at the shorter male at his side. The vocalist smiled secretly to his self, he hasn't seen his boyfriend for two months! Kurama was away to see his mother sure, but after that it was as though their little altercation never happened that night. Maybe it was because he didn't know how to contact him. That's what Hiei thought. And since the tour has ended there wasn't a chance of him being in a hotel at the moment. Did the cute boy really plan on waiting around until their next appearance somewhere to see him again? Thank god Yusuke wanted pizza.
Shit. I forgot about him. He's probably gonna kill me for not helping him bring them home. Considering turning around and heading back he had to catch his self hearing Kurama say 'excuse me' as he crossed his path to go into an apartment building. Hiei looked the building up then down, it was only seconds after the door closed after Kurama's entry that the shorter male followed after him. Yusuke would be fine. Getting onto the elevator, he pressed a fake button one number higher than Kurama's then waited for the male to get off on his floor at which point he would continue to follow him and end this rouse. Stealing glances at his boyfriend, Hiei felt heat rise in his cheeks remembering what the red head had looked like sitting there on his hips completely uninhibited as they rocked together.
"Its Noizu." He said out of nowhere, his adorible city accent pronouncing his band name in a way that made Hiei wanna rip the males clothes off right there. How long would this elevator ride take? "Have you heard of them?" He then asks.
Not wanting to let on that they know each other the shorter male shakes his head blushing for real hearing Kurama's cute laugh.
"May I?" He asks before pressing the ear piece into Hiei's ear.
Hiei almost laughed hearing the sound of his own voice as he sang 'Hana.' Nodding that he'd heard enough he glances at Kurama when he removed the ear piece, the slightest touch to his face sent shivers down Hiei's spine. Finally the doors open up and the two get off. Walking down the hall to his apartment Kurama smiled kindly to Hiei as if to say this is as far as I go. Beat it now. But Hiei stood his ground just to see what the male would do. Much to his surprise Kurama kissed the pad of his thumb then pressed it to his forehead with a laugh.
"Hey!" He blushed at the laughter in his expence.
"I must admit you had me going up until just now," he shoved his door open. "But if you were planning on getting off on my floor you shouldn't have bothered to press the button for the one over it."
"Hn." He shoves his hands into his thin coats pockets- glad they were returning to the warm months. In a cocky manner he replies. "That shouldn't have been the only give away."
Kurama only laughed before heading inside. Taking the glance over his shoulder as an invitation, Hiei walks in closing the door behind him. Kurama slipped out of his jacket and sneakers, he then turned off his cd player and unclipped it from the waistband of his pants tossing it half haphazardly to an arm chair. Hiei watched in muted fascination as the object of his newly discovered desires worked around the room of the well-sized apartment. Kurama, not surprisingly, has nice taste. The walls are stark white, parts of it are covered with very brightly colored paintings of abstract flowers and meadows. In the center of the room is a glass coffee table, a couple magazines litter it. A loveseat and couch frame it into place on either side but the arm chair to the set is in the corner of the room. There's no tv in the living room which had Hiei wonder if Kurama preferred it in the bedroom. Looking down now, he sees that the carpet is a rich blue that matches one of the paintings of tulips? Hiei had to look at that for a while because he wasn't sure- not that he was a florist or anything but he knew of some types of flowers.
Returning from the small kitchen with a bowl of diced fruit in hand, Kurama cocked his head in question then followed the shorter males gaze. "They're tulips." He says then crosses past the vocalist gaze to set the fruit down on the table. "Please, make yourself comfortable."
Blinking back to his senses, Hiei removed his jacket and walked it to the hook by the door, he'd already taken off his boots. Returning into the living room he then takes a seat on the couch avoiding being too close to his boy friend. He didn't think it would be this weird seeing him again after that because, after all; it has been two months since they slept together he'd of thought those warm feelings would have worn off by now but they burned like it had taken place only minutes ago. Looking at Kurama, the male is tying his hair up into a high ponytail, making him look even younger than his self.
"How old are you?" He asked finally.
Taking a slice of pear once finished with his hair, he says "18." Before biting into it.
"18?"
"What? Does that bother you?" He continued to eat his lunch with one hand as the other took a hold of the bowl and he picked it up holding it toward Hiei to offer some.
Taking an apple slice, he replies. "No. I just thought you might be younger than me- minus the fact that you live alone."
Laughing a bit, he shakes his head. "My boss says the same thing. That's why he didn't hire me right away. My stepfather is paying for this place." He adds as an after thought knowing the question that usually follows when people see his apartment then hear about what his job is which usually comes about.... Now.
"What do you do?" He eats the apple.
Taking a plum he says rather flat toned. "I'm a delivery boy. I work the afternoon shift." His face scrunches at the bitter taste.
"No work today?" He checks his watch.
Kurama smiled, eyes saying 'clearly' to the males question.
The two eat quietly from the green spotted white bowl listening to the sounds of the city going by out the window. It was surprisingly loud considering the window is shut. How can he sleep with all that noise?
"I bought the single you guys did with Kuwabara. Its a good song, I don't quite understand it completely but I like it." Giving his finger a quick suck he stands up heading back into the kitchen. "Would you like something to drink?"
"Yeah, whatever you've got." Says Hiei. Why does he feel like he just met this guy? That comfortable feeling he usually has around the male is now just a knot sitting in the pit of his stomach. Its like he's bundling something up in there and if it comes out what would happen then?
"I hope you like grape," he smiles then adds. "I don't usually drink cranberry juice."
"I didn't order that!" He snaps knowing that Kurama was speaking about when they first met. "I'm just not old enough to drink.... not in the public eye anyway. I've had a beer before." He sipped his drink bitterly.
Snickering a bit, he says. "I wasn't attacking you Hiei, I was just teasing."
"Oh."
Kurama again laughs. "Why are you so pent up? Relax a little, I don't bite."
"............" Setting his cup down on the table top, he looks down at his lap. "Its not that. I just feel weird, now that we've done that?"
Smiling at how young the boy could sound, he says. "What, slept together?" Moving over to the couch he runs his fingers through the males black but white starbursted hair. "Wait until I enter you, then you'll feel weird." He laughs when Hiei slaps his hand away, as if Kurama's finger were bugs combing through his hair.
"Hn. You sound like you have experience." He retorts to the males comment.
With a shrug Kurama takes another plum, biting into it glad that its sweet this time.
The red heads silence made Hiei look at him with question. "Have you done that before?"
Nodding, Kurama finishes swallowing then says. "I've had at least one boyfriend before you."
Hiei was floored! How could Kurama have been with someone else, he seems so shy- sort of. Knowing this made him look at the taller male in a new light. He's experienced. He's been with only one other person, which means him and this other guy must have been serious. Although, when people break up with a steady boyfriend or girlfriend they're usually a little stand offish when it comes to being close to another person so soon, at least that's what television has shown him.
Concern crossing his features, Kurama touches Hiei's cheek. "What are you thinking so hard about?"
"Nothing. Its just that the first guy I've ever been with has been with someone else."
With an almost scoff of a laugh the red head closes his green colored eyes to say. "I'm not as innocent as I look, sorry. But if you want to know something about that just as-..."
He shoots out "How long were you together?" before Kurama could end his sentence. He never would have thought of his self as a jealous lover but this really bothers him.
"Three years, one year older than myself. And we've slept together three times- and yes, it was all in the same year different month apart."
"Were you that serious? Why'd you break up?"
With a shrug, Kurama replies. "He had no direction in life and tended to call me too serious all the time- it was rather annoying. We seperated on good terms because its something we both wanted."
Arms crossed, lips pouted, he glares at the wall. "You didn't mind him for three years though."
Mouth agasp from his boyfriends sudden mood change, he snickers. "You can't seriously be upset? Hiei.... Does it really bother you that much?"
Hiei glanced at the male, his cute curious and teasing expression took the bitterness from his eyes. "I don't know. I guess I'm just a little pissed that you were with someone else before me."
Laughing, he pops him on the forehead with his thumb. "You sure you're seventeen?"
Rubbing his forehead he wonders briefly what everyones obsession with it is today. "And stop laughing at me." He insists.
"I'm sorry." Wrapping his arms around the vocalist, he leans his weight on him so that he lays down on the couch. "And anyway, isn't it better that one of us knows a little something?" He kisses him on the neck, this side then that side, down along his shirt covered collarbone.
Hiei closes his eyes so willing to stay mad, regardless the hot pit forming in his groin. Shivers travel up his back, arching it, when Kurama's slightly sticky fingers slip up his shirt seeking the rising buds on his chest. Pinching it between his fingers he twists and rolls them as if making candy. Hiei's chest rose and fell with each staggered breath coming from it. Eyes cracked a bit he watches the red head raise his shirt up, the slight cool in the air caused him to shiver from the wet trails the males tongue is leaving along his torso while his other hand raises his shirt from his body up to the neck.
Kurama sucked away the plum that his fingers left on the males nipple, just as he climbed further on top of him the ringing of a phone breaks them away from each other.
"Ignore it." Hiei takes his boyfriends jaws between his hands pulling him towards him for a kiss. Kurama made the softest moan and Hiei was sure he'd die if the red head did that again.
Kurama titled his head back giving Hiei access to his neck when the phone rang again. A pleasured sigh came with his words. "Maybe its important?"
Hiei shook his head, knowing that it was probably nobody but Kuronue wondering why he left Yusuke to fend for his self when the drummer got back to the penthouse. Removing his shirt, he gets a better hold of the male but Kurama pulls away.
"They seem persistant, just reassure them that you're fine."
Aggitated, he yanks his phone from his pocket ready to chew out whomever is on the other end, when he sees Sawada's number in the i.d. window. "Shit." Flipping his phone open, he says. "Hello?"
"Hiei when I call you, you answer. I don't like to wait."
"Right." It came out a little bitter but so what, he's interrupting and for who knows what because they have time off- Sawada said so!
Kurama's hand tickled up Hiei's chest to his neck then he began to caress it, lips planting kisses on the other side.
Trying to keep his words even, he asks. "What do you want? I thought we had time off?"
"You do. I just want you to come in, I decided on the conditions of our little deal, remember that?" He asked as if he had to remind Hiei that he was in his pocket.
"Yeah."
"I want you here now."
"I'll be there in an hour."
"Make it 30 minutes."
Eye scrunching, he sighs. "Fine." Hanging up, he grabs his shirt. "I have to go."
"So soon?" He kisses him on the lips. "I could write you a late slip. I have great penmenship."
Hiei considers it but he shakes his head in decline. "He already sounds pissed because I didn't pick up. I'll come by later if I can though."
"Alright."
Giving his boyfriend one last kiss, he exits the apartment.

Hiei arrives at KISS records around 1:45. He timed it to the second and managed to get there in exactly 29 minutes. It was a struggle too and cost him a pretty penny since he had to take a cab instead of the bus. But he made it. Sawada's secretary greeted him at the door, tight look on her features as usual and her hair still tied up neatly in a bun. For a moment Hiei wondered what the woman's name was because he was sure that he never learned it but then again they were never asked to address her, so it never seemed relevant."Right this way." She says opening the door for the vocalist.
Hiei spares her a glance before walking into the mans office. Shin is on the phone and he gestures with his free hand for Hiei to take a seat. Sitting down on the couch Hiei looked about the office which seemed to change color over the year but the design remained the same. Sawada spoke for ten minutes more which was beginning to make Hiei wish that he had taken Kurama up on his offer instead of showing up just to be ignored. Taking a deep breath he pondered just leaving to show that man that his time was important as well.
The door opens and secretary what's-her-name peeked her head in to announce. "Mr. Sawada, Trini Park is here."
"Send her in." He says. Quickly saying 'goodbye' to the person on the phone, he hangs it up. Folding his hands together he greats the woman who just walked in with a genuine smile. Holding out a hand to her he shakes it then says. "Glad that you could make it. Please, take a seat."
The woman sat down beside Hiei, smiling at him before giving a curt bow. Hiei nodded to acknowledge her.
"Look at that, you're already getting along."
What the hell is that supposed to mean? Wonders the vocalist. Crossing his arms with a bored sigh, he asks. "Mr. Sawada could you make this quick, I have to be somewhere." He lied.
"Patients Hiei, the world wasn't built in a day and neither was your career- it took time, this is taking time... and a turn."
Figuring this afformentioned 'turn' is why the man called him in he straightened up to listen.
"Hiei, the fans of Noizu have proven theirselves as avid listeners of yours and they like the eye candy they get in the process." He paused for a moment then continued. "Knowing this I say that its time for those girls who fantasize about dating you see that there's hope."
Blinking in confusion, Hiei cocks a brow in wonder if there's going to be some hideous little contest where he has to go out with whomever wins it, because if that's the case he's gonna throw up. "I don't follow."
"Hiei," he nods to the woman beside him. "meet Trini Park... you're new girlfriend."
Hiei knew that if he had a drink in his mouth this would be a perfect place for a spit take. There was no way he'd heard what he thought he did. How can Sawada just tell him who he is to date!? Isn't that against some kind of code?
"Its nice to meet you Mr. Jaganshi." Says Miss Park, hand held out.
Taking it he shakes it briefly, then turns his focus back on his employer. "A word?"
Shaking his head, Shin says. "No. This is to be and that's that. You remember Miss Park don't you?"
Now that Hiei looked over the bottle brown haired woman he did recognize her, she was the photographer who took his picture when they were on tour. Did she know about this? Is that why her hand strayed so long when they shook that time?
"People know that you're available and now they'll guess that you've been looking and have found." He holds his hands up defensively. "This goes public tomorrow night at Sharp, I made a reservation for the two of you at nine p.m."
"But I don't even know her!"
"No one knows anyone really. And stop complaining, you're only a couple in the eye of the public." He smiles. "You don't have to know her, you don't have to love her. You could be fucking several woman on the side and it doesn't matter because you're dating Miss Park."
Hiei couldn't believe this. Turning to the woman he asks. "And you're ok with this?"
"Hiei this is strange, yes but, I'll do my best to be your girlfriend." She said already using his first name. "And its true, I don't expect to see you beyond our arranged dates."
"And its not as if she's in love with you." He shrugs. "What more could you ask for, a commitmentless relationship with a woman."
Muted, Hiei nods. Could he say no? Seeing the smile on Shin's face made him wanna punch the man but he couldn't so he instead asked.
"And how long does this go on?"
Shrugging, he replies coolly. "Don't know, celebrity couples are so flimsy these days. Maybe a month."
"Oh."
Bowing at her mock boyfriend, Trini stands. "Let's do our best?"
"Fine."
"Good. Dismissed."
Hiei tore for the door he had to get home and tell his friends about this.
