Okay the next chapter did only focus on Kurama so I guess I should try to focus on the tanteis in this one.

Les amies noir Chapter 6

 

Yusuke opened the door and saw a hotel corridor on the other side. He carefully snuck out followed by the others. They all moved as silently as they could down the corridor, even though it was only Hiei who was actually silent. After getting down the corridor Botan whispered.

-“Now let's all act as if what we're doing is completely normal.” She walked down the stairs to the hotel lobby in a relaxed style, saying hi to the receptionist and motioning the others to follow her example. Of course Hiei didn't.

 

Entering the crowded street outside the hotel all of them could understand what kind of place this was.

-“So alive yet…..yet dead.” Botan stated. Kuwabara nodded and Yusuke added.

-“Yeah like everything is normal yet something is wrong. I just can't put my finger on it.” Hiei remained silent

-“I think we should find Kurama quickly and then get out of here.” Kuwabara said. Everyone seemed to agree on this.

 

Yusuke thought this place was slightly creepy, in a way this place seemed to have things he was used to, he betted that criminality was high here. But it was like someone had shaded everything with grey.

 

Kuwabara felt a constant shiver through his body. He didn't like this place the least he just wanted to get out of here, his spirit sense was of and that made him even more worried.

 

Botan was not as scared as Kuwabara but she understood that no matter what happened she would have to keep her senses high. She looked up at the grey day sky. (So hard to spot the sun even in the middle of the day.)

 

Hiei was the one who was the least worried, he knew that he could outrun whatever they countered; after all, all that was around here was humans. He had felt on his forehead, his Jagan was still there but he doubted he could use it; he had tried to reach Kurama with telepathy the moment they arrived but no use. Either his Jagan wasn't working or…….Hiei out ruled the other horrible possibility, he knew that Kurama could take care of himself.

 

After searching for about three hours the four tanteis sat down in a café to go over what they had found.

-“Nothing” Botan said while drinking her milkshake.

-“If we only had our powers back then this would be a totally different situation” Kuwabara clenched his fist.

-“We knew what we were getting ourselves into.” Botan sighed after the comment.

-“I'm not giving up.” Yusuke looked out the window, it had started to darken outside and rain was starting to drop down. “I don't care what you guys do but I'm not giving up. We HAVE to save him.”

-“You're so motivated.” Botans voice sounded a bit happier now.

-“But I have to help him……I just have to….I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if we didn't.”

-“I understand that this is important Yusuke bu-

-“No Botan don't you see. He's sacrificed himself so many times, was prepared to die for us so many times, all the time, watching us, feeling that he owned his life to us……He's paid back the debt ten times over, yet he always felt like that. I HAVE to save him.” There was silence for a few minutes.

-“Urameshi.” Yusuke turned away from the window facing Kuwabara.

-“We'd all lay down our lives for saving Kurama, since we know he would do the same for us. It's that simple don't make it complicated.” Botan nodded. Hiei understood.

 

Hiei understood Yusukes reasoning perfectly, Kurama had always been acting as if he owned them something, always. He so gladly paid back whatever debt he saw, as if he owned them all of his happiness, all of his life, all of him. Hiei closed his eyes. At that moment he sensed something. He quickly looked outside, a girl, slightly younger then himself walked pass, there was something strange about her. Hiei didn't wait a second but ran outside doing his best to keep track on her even without his powers. She noticed him at ones, yet she didn't escape. Purple hair and darker eyes.

 

Yina eyed the stranger up and down. A confusing one, felt human and at the same time not.

(Worth breaking the masquerade to escape him?.......No) Yina calmly started walking doing her best to disappear into the crowd, but she soon saw that the short stranger followed her. (Damn he should have lost track of me by now. Guess he's not human, better get away from the crowd then. Mithras won't allow any breaking of the masquerade.) She started to move away from the walking street only to find the stranger follow.

 

When Yusuke, Botan and Kuwabara had gotten out on the street Hiei was already gone. In his frustration Yusuke burst out.

-“DAMN YOU HIEI WE TRUSTED YOU TO BE AROUND!!!” Botan and Kuwabara quickly hushed Yusuke down.

-“Not right time and place Yusuke” Botan said. Yusuke was getting really angry now, worried over two people plus being angry at one of them was not good. He knew that Hiei could take care of himself very well but it would really be hell trying to find him.

 

Botan saw that both of the boys weren't in a positive mood, she had to say something to make the situation a bit better.

-“Let's say it's a spread search. Yusuke, Kuwa-chan. Where do you two want to meet up?”

An half hour later

Yusuke was searching the streets on his own, his mind was tensed trying to sense or see Kurama or Hiei. (He can't have gotten to far…) Yusuke looked around and saw the slums he had entered. (….Then again I might have gone the wrong direction)

 

Ones Yina got out of the crowd she started running (I might not have an overwhelming speed but eventually that mortal will get tired, while I won't.)

To her own shocking the short stranger was suddenly standing in front of her. (Alright this brat isn't human for sure……)

-“Where's Kurama” A hard voice.

- (I see he knows the Lasombra guy, that means he must be something out of the ordinary) “I don't know who you're talking about.”

 

Hieis eyes hardened. “My powers might be weakened but you can't hide that from me, I might not sense his energy but I recognise his smell, even if it's faint. So spit it out. Where is he?” Hiei prepared to draw his sword. She walked around him as if to inspect him.

-“You're not a kine and you're not a kindred. What are you?”

-“I'm a demon.”

-“Oh flashy, but I'm afraid this is were you meet your end little demon.” She jumped against him and Hiei was ready to block with his sword. She evaded quickly but Hiei was faster. He jumped and ones above her he counted out that she wasn't fast enough to move away. But the moment he cut her, he noticed that it felt like he hit one of the walls. He felt that his sword almost gave after so he quickly jumped back. Yina only smiled.

-“My speed might not match your but I've had bullets pierce me and I haven't slowed down a second.”

-“Tish. What are you and what have you done to Kurama.”

-“Little demon, your friend is not among the living any longer.” Anger was close to over coming Hiei when he heard that. But at the same time he understood the coded message.

-“Yes I see your following. But since you know I can't let you leave alive.” Hiei quickly got prepared to fight again, he wouldn't give in to something like this, not by any chance.

-“Your mind is made up I hear. You apparently hold no contact with other kine, perhaps your life can be spared, but then you owe me a favour.”

-“I owe no one favours.”

-“Little demon you're being stupid, I'm giving you a once in a life time chance and you neglect it.” Her face expression changed into slight anger. After a moment of silence between them she said.

-“It'll be morning soon, find somewhere to sleep and I'll guide you to your friend next night. I don't mind you all taking him with you, I don't want him in the council anyhow.” She turned around and left.

Hiei was upset, he felt defeated and he hated it. But this girl knew were Kurama was, she had a faint smell of Kurama on her clothes.

He decided to find a place to avoid all contact until the night fell, then he would get help in finding Kurama.

Next chapter starting to write right away, I just trying to keep them the same length, now we're going to see what happened Kurama the previous night and this night.
