Like open doors?

Leading you down into my core

Where I've become so numb. ~~

(He's walking down a dark corridor. All around him is blackness. Where is the end?)

My spirits sleeping somewhere cold

Until you find it there and lead me home. ~~

(What is he looking for in this vast darkness? Where can he find it? He is so lonely here. Where is someone to fill the loneliness?)

~~ (Wake me up!)

Wake me up inside

(I can't wake up!)

(Save me!)

Call my name and save me from the dark. ~~

(He runs down the hall. Not knowing where he's going or what he is looking for. He hears someone call his name and he runs toward the voice.)

~~ (Wake me up!)

Bid my blood to run.

(I can't wake up!)

Before I came undone.

(Save me!)

Save me from the nothing I've become. ~~

(He is running so fast he seems to fly. Blood pumps through his veins as he looks for the person who called his name. Where is the person?)

~~Now that I know what I'm without

You can't leave me.

Breathe into me and make me real.

Bring me to life. ~~

(The hallway is so dark that he didn't see the crevice at his feet till it was too late. He fell, but managed to grab the edge with the tips of his fingers. He tries to climb up but he slips.)

~~ (Wake me up!)

(I can't wake up!)

(Save me!)

Call my name and save me from the dark. ~~

(He tries again, but again slips. He looks down to see a vast nothing with no end. He hears someone call his name again and a hand grabs his wrist.)

~~ (Wake me up!)

Bid my blood to run.

Before I came undone.

(Save me!)

Save me from the nothing I've become. ~~

(He looks up through the loose strands of his hair to see slick black hair and brown eyes. They try to bring him back up but again he slips.)

~Bring me to life.

I've been living a lie.

There's nothing inside.

Bring me to life. ~~

(They hang on and kept trying to bring him up.)

~~Frozen inside without your touch,

Without your love, darling.

Only you are the life among the dead. ~~

(The raven head tries again and the hanging figure again slips almost taking his rescuer with him. Another hand grabs his below the raven head's. He looks up to see beady black eyes and brown red curly hair. Again they try to pull him up.)

~~All this sight

I can't believe I couldn't see

Kept in the dark

But you were there for me. ~~

(The loner again slips and tries to find a handhold.)

~~I've been sleeping a 1000 years it seems.

I've got to open my eyes to everything. ~~

(A hand his extended toward him and he looks up to see blood red eyes and midnight black hair in fiery waves. Pushing a strand of silver hair away he grabs the other's hand.)

~~Without a thought

Without a voice

Without a soul. ~~

(The three almost brought the figure up but almost lost themselves.)

~~Don't let me die here.

There must be something wrong.

Bring me to life. ~~

(Is that what he was looking for? Help? But was help enough to save him from the loneness in his heart?)

~~ (Wake me up!)

(I can't wake up!)

(Save me!)

(The three yell at their friend to not give up, but the loner doesn't know what to do anymore.)

~~ (Wake me up!)

(Another hand grabs his and he looks up to see red hair and green eyes. The red head smiles kindly and pulls with the others.

"Don't give up on life," whispers the red head. The person smiles back and pushes up to his friends.)

~~Bring me to life.

I've been living a lie

There is nothing inside. ~~

(Together, Yusuke, Kuwabara, Hiei, and Shuichi pulled Youko Kurama from death and lead him to life, filling the darkness with light.)
