Hiei- I'LL YELL AT WHO EVER I WANT!!

Fox- TOO BAD! STOP YELLING AT ME!!

Yusuke- …I DON'T KNOW WHY WE'RE YELLING!!!

Hiei- STOP BEING UPEST!

Fox- YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!

Yusuke- LOUD NOISES!!!

Kurama- O_o… Fox doesn't own anything.

Hiei and Fox- SHUT UP YUSUKE!!!!!!!!

Yusuke- …ok

I walked towards the couch and sat down. Aurora sat next to me as the boys followed in.

“How did you know where this room was?” Kuwabara asked dumbly.

“I've been here to Genkai's temple before when I was younger,” I said looking that them, “I guess this place was engraved in my mind.”

“She's right Kuwabara.”

I looked back and saw Genkai standing there smiling at me. I bowed my head slightly. “Greetings Genkai.”

“It's been a while hasn't it Miyoko,” she said smiling slightly at me.

“8 years actually,” I stated.

“How's Mamoru?” she asked walking towards me.

“Better then before.”

“Takako.”

“Busy like always.”

“She always was a good student. But how about my other student, Kane.”

“Same as always I guess… only… more cold hearted.”

Genkai looked at me a bit smiling. “Well I'm glad one of their children wasn't a slacker like them.”

“I take my studies and training seriously. If one is not ready it will be too late,” I stated plainly.

“Hn… Yusuke you should pay attention to her, maybe you'll learn something,” Genkai said glancing at the leader of the group.

“Whatever, when's pacifier breath coming?” the one called Yusuke asked.

“He'll be here within an hour I would guess,” Genkai replied.

I stood up. “I don't have time for this. Aurora, update me later will ya?”

“Why where are you going?” she asked looking back up at me.

“I have things to do,” I replied and walked to the door.

Then I felt a hand softly wrap around my arm. I didn't hurt me; it was so soft and pure. I turned and met up with deep green eyes. “Please Miss, we mean you no harm just stay.”

“I know you don't want to hurt me but, I must-.”

I gasped and turned to the paper, sliding doors. “Damn.”

“What's wrong?” Kurama asked.

“It's him… he's come…”

“Who?” Aurora asked.

Just then a man entered the room. He was tall with black messy hair, and dark black eyes. He was in a business suit but looked drunk. He walked towards me smiling. “Miyoko dear, what have I told you about this place?”

“Feh why should you care?” I asked looking away from him.

He slapped me across the face. “Cause I'm your father damn it!”

A smile creped across my face. “A father? You hit more like a girl.”

There was a subtle silence. The only noise heard was the gasps of the people here and the continued beating my father gave me. I then fell to the ground and groaned a bit. “You're forbidden to come here!”

I staggered up smirking as blood dripped from my mouth. “Think I'd listen to you?”

Kane then brought his fist into my stomach. A breathless gasp escaped my lungs as I doubled over. “You were a mistake!”

“Tell me something I don't know!” I shouted glaring up at him.

“THAT'S ENOUGH!” Yusuke shouted and fired spirit energy at Kane.

Kane smirked and put a shield. The energy hit the shield and then bounced back hitting Yusuke. Kurama and Kuwabara then attacked him at once trying to get him off guard only to be pushed back. Kane laughed evilly. “Fools… this is all pointless.”

Hiei then appeared behind Kane and his forehead glowed a green color. The barrier shattered and Kane turned surprised. “What the-.”

Hiei then took the sheath of his sword and knocked Kane out with it. I sat up groaning as Hiei turned his back and sheathed his sword as he began to walk away. I sighed but then saw Kane sit up smiling. I was still weak, Yusuke, Kuwabara, and Kurama were being tended to their wounds and Aurora was helping Genkai with the boys' wounds. Kane pulled out a pocket knife and raised it over his head. I stood up staggering a bit and ran towards Hiei. “Hiei look out!” Hiei turned with wide eyes as I pushed him out of the way just in time but paid severely. Kane's knife cut my shoulder causing a deep gash and blood poured from it splattering it on the floor. I fell to the ground with Hiei under me slightly and I groaned in pain. I opened one eye slowly and looked at Hiei. “Are you ok?”

“You saved me?” Hiei said surprised.

“I had to,” I whispered as Hiei gently pushed me off.

He looked at me surprised and then glared at Kane. “Kane…” He unsheathed his sword as Aurora rushed over to me. Aurora propped me up as we both watched the fight.

Kane chuckled and then broke out into a maniacal laughter. “Stupid girl, saving one life will not repent for the one you took! Face it you killed your sister, and nothing will ever bring her back.”

I felt tears swell in my eyes and fall softly to the ground. I didn't blink or move, just cried.

“Leave her be.”

I looked up at Hiei and saw him protecting me. Hiei then disappeared again and Kane laughed. “You'll have to learn new tricks Hiei.” He then, too, disappeared.

There was a long silence and then there was a scream. I looked behind me and saw Hiei with his sword through Kane. Hiei withdrew his sword as Kane's blood fell from the wound. He doubled over in pain and looked up at Hiei. “Heh… I'll see you… in hell.”

`Leader my job is done,' I heard Kane mutter. I glanced up and saw he was dead on the ground for Hiei stabbed his sword through Kane's head. How could I have heard him?

“Mi! Mi, are you ok!?” I groaned and looked up at Aurora. She sighed in relief as I looked up at her. “Thank Enma you're alright.”

“Yeah, hey did you hear him say anything before Hiei killed him?” I asked her thinking maybe I was just hearing things.

“I don't know, Hiei did you hear him say something?” Aurora asked.

Hiei was gone. I sat there a bit confused when I felt my stomach cramp. I winced slightly in pain as I was lifted and placed on the couch. “You should be fine here. Now we should tend to your wounds.”

I opened my eyes slowly and saw Kurama's smiling face. “Thank you.”

He lifted my shirt slightly showing my stomach bruised and scared. Kurama then slipped my arm out of my sleeve to try and get to my shoulder and saw many scars on my arm. He gasped, “What happened to you?”

I sat up and put my shirt on while looking away from him and said, “It's not important.”

Aurora walked over to me with wide eyes. “Mi what's wrong with your arm?”

“I said it was nothing, now if you'll excuse me I must be leaving to tell my brother. If you must tell me something important send the person to my house,” I said and gave them my address.

I walked down the stairs looking at my arm wondering how I could tell them. I thought maybe I could just make something up but that wouldn't work.

“Hiding things just makes the punishment worse.”

I looked around and saw Hiei standing in a tree. He jumped down and stood next to me.

“What do you want?” I asked looking away from him and putting my arm at my side.

“Those scars, where did you get them?” he asked.

I lowered my head and began to walk away. “It's nothing.”

As I walked I bumped into someone and they grabbed me. I looked up and saw Hiei glaring down at me. “What happened?”

I looked away and replied, “It's none of your business and let go of me.”

Hiei gave a `Hn' and let me go. I looked back at him and `Hn'-ed back at him. He stared at me awkwardly and `hn'-ed at me. I then `hn'-ed at him and we started a `hn' contest. After an `Hn' we went into a staring contest. As I stared at him I starting noticing all the things I never saw in him before. His eyes were a glittering red that made me think about him differently. He was taller then me but only by an inch or two. I would kill to touch his hair but I don't think now is the best time to try. I then began to walk away. If I started at him longer I would start feeling different towards him.

“Turning away?” Hiei asked as I walked away.

“We'll finish this later,” I said not turning back to look at him.

Fox- *muttering* stupid Hiei being a sexy, hot, bastard…

Hiei- *muttering* baka onna being a pretty, innocent bitch…

Yusuke- …*muttering* I don't know why we're muttering…

Yusuke, Fox, Hiei- *muttering random things*
