SURPRISE!!! You thought I completely finished the story didn't you? Well,I had this crazy idea to write a songfic to this story and couldn't find a song that really fit the part. So one day I was listening to my radio and this song came on. I thought it was so sweet so I decided to use it. Hope you like it!

Help Pour Out the Rain=Billy Jewell

~The moment was custom-made to order
I was ridin' with my daughter on our way back from Monroe. ~

Kurama and Rahne were walking through the Makai forest. Kurama was thinking how lucky he was to have such an innocent and sweet daughter.

~An' like children do, she started playin' twenty questions,
But I never could've guessed one would touch me to my soul. ~

"Mama," said Rahne. "Can I ask you a question?"

"Yes, you may," said the silver youko as he looked down at his daughter and Rahne said . . .

~She said: "Daddy, when we get to Heaven, can I taste the Milky Way?
"Are we goin' there to visit, or are we goin' there to stay?
"Am I gonna see my Grandpa? Can I have a pair of wings?
"An' do you think that God could use another Angel,
"To help pour out the rain?" ~

Kurama was surprised at the question. He stopped walking and sat down by a tree. Rahne thought she did something wrong and went over to hug her mother as Kurama silently cried. As he did he smiled.

~Well, I won't lie: I pulled that car right over,
An' I sat there on the shoulder tryin' to dry my misty eyes. ~

Kurama lifted his head to the sky and smiled, tears creating a waterfall on his face.

~An' I whispered: "Lord, I wanna thank you for my children.
"'Cause your innocence that fills them often takes me by surprise. ~

He whispered in the sky and kissed Rahne's head as she snuggled closer.

~Like: "Daddy, when we get to Heaven, can I taste the Milky Way?
"Are we goin' there to visit, or are we goin' there to stay?
"Am I gonna see my Grandpa? Can I have a pair of wings?
"An' do you think that God could use another Angel,
"To help pour out the rain?" ~

Kurama got up and walked away many hours later. Rahne had fallen asleep in his arms so he returned to Ningenkai and changed back to his ningen form. Walking home he tucked Rahne in and smiled down at her.

~Well, I thought about it later on,
An' a smile came to my face. ~

He kneeled next to her and folded his hands in a prayer.

~An' when I tucked her in to bed,
I got down on my knees an' prayed. ~

Tears come down his face as he prayed to Inari on what a wonderful gift the fox god has given him and Hiei.

~Lord, when I get to Heaven, can I taste the Milky Way?
"I don't wanna come to visit 'cause I'm comin' home to stay,
"An' I can't wait to see my family and meet Jesus face to face.
"An' do you think, Lord, you could use just one more Angel,
"To help pour out the rain?" ~

Kurama felt strong arms wrap around his waist and Hiei laid his head on the kitsune's shoulder. He kissed Kurama's ear as he looked down at Rahne.

"We really have been blessed, kitsune," he said.

"That we have, Hiei. That we have."

~Mmmm, can I help pour out the rain? ~
