Chapter Two: Lesson One, the Kiss

Kurama sat in his math class waiting for the bell to ring. Today was the first day of the Tutoring session. He couldn't believe that he was going to tutor an American girl. He couldn't get her image out of his mind. He was to preoccupied to notice that the bell had ringed signaling the end of the school day.

“Shuichi…Shuichi. Shuichi!” The teacher yelled as he tapped his foot on the ground. Kurama snapped back to reality to see his Math teacher standing next to him. He blinked and looked around noticing that everyone had left.

“Sorry Mr. Yakima-sensei. I guess I wasn't paying attention. Wont happen again sir I promise.” He packed his things in his bag and walked past the teacher and bowed some. He headed to the door and walked out walking down the halls. He sighed and opened his locker. He checked his pockets to make sure he had the address of the studio as he put his stuff in the locker and closed it.

It didn't take him long to get to the studio. He looked at the huge building and wondered how he could have not seen this place before. He shrugged it off and put his hand on the door knob and stopped. “Hiei? What are you doing here?” He looked over his shoulder to see the short fire demon behind him.

“I just felt like coming. I had nothing better to do. This should be entertaining anyways. Trying to teach an American girl Japanese.” He smirked looking at his fox friend.

“Whatever Hiei, just don't get in the way. We have a lot to cover today so you can stay just don't be a distraction.” He opened the doors the building and walked into the large lobby. He looked around and saw a receptionist. `Excuse me miss. Where is the studio that Crystal Johnson is in?”

“Third floor and first room to the right. You shouldn't miss it.” She said in a cheerful voice with a wide smile on her face. Hiei shivered at seeing it and walked off with Kurama into the elevator. Once they got to the third floor the walked into the room that was described and he saw Mr. Yuki. He walked to him and set some books and flash cards down on a table.

“I brought a friend with me. I hope you don't mind. He promised not to get in the way so he will not bother anyone.” Kurama blinked as he heard a voice that sounded like an angel or something. He turned his head and saw Crystal in front of a microphone singing.

“Each day I think about
All the ways I hurt you.
I want to go back,
I want to stop what I said.

I don't know what to say,
I don't know what to do.
You said that it was all right,
But I know your hurting inside.”

Hiei stood next to Kurama and looked at Crystal. “She doesn't seem so special to me. So what she can sing.” He said in his normal tone as he crossed his arms. He started to get a funny feeling but he didn't know what it was. He looked over to the man on the other side of Kurama and glared. 'He seems so familiar' He thought to himself before turning to look at Crystal again.

“She sounds wonderful…” was all that Kurama said as he listened to her song more.

“I want to cry,
I want to die!
This is killing me deep inside!

You said it was the past,
But I can't stop thinking,
That I broke your heart somehow.

I didn't see this coming,
I didn't think it would happen,
But I can't stop loving you.”

He felt as though he was in a trance of some kind but he shook it off as he herd the music get lower and he realized it was the end of her song. He watched as she took off the headphones she had on and she walked out of the recording room. She walked over to him and bowed some and then looked at the other. She remembered seeing him the other day. She bowed to Hiei as well and smiled.

“I brought flash cards to help us. Hiei will be joining us today.” Kurama said.

Mr. Yuki sat down and looked at Crystal. “`I brought flash cards to help us. Hiei will be joining us today.' Is what he said Crystal. He looked at Kurama and nodded. “Your friend can stay but he better stay out of the way. She needs to learn this stuff. She is going to start school with you soon. It so happens that she decided to sign with a Japanese label instead of the American one. You still up to the task? She can be a bit stubborn.”

Kurama nodded and he sat down at a table. Crystal walked to the table and sat down across from his and smiled. Hiei just leaned against the wall and watched the two, a slight smirk on his face. `This will be fun.' He thought to himself as he continued to watch.

Kurama picked up a card and said the word slowly. “School…Say it with me…School”

She blinked and looked at Mr. Yuki. He shook his head and she gave him a pout. She looked back at Kurama and started mouthing the word then slowly trying to say it. “Swol…” Hiei had to hold back a laugh at the way she tried to say it. Kurama shook his head and sighed some.

“School…”

“Schow”

“No…school…”

“No…”

“Well you can say no…now say it…school”

“Swol..scho…school…”

“You did it!” He set that card down and he smiled as Crystal looked at Mr. Yuki repeating the word. “Ok now say this…Hug…”

“Hub…”

“Hug…”

“H…h…hug…” She clapped as Kurama nodded. She looked this time at Hiei smiling and he just blinked and looked at her. She turned her gaze back at her red haired tutor.

“Ok…now for another word. Kiss…”

“Kiss!”

“Great! On your first try too.” Kurama showed her the back or the three cards and she blinked at the last one that said `kiss' on it. She smiled and stood up and walked over to Kurama and kissed his cheek.

“Kiss…” She giggled at Kurama as his cheeks got a little of a rose color to them. Hiei looked at her and glared. He started to feel it again. That feeling he had just a while ago when Kurama was watching Crystal. Was it…Could he be…jealous?

AN: Ya she only learned a few words in this chapter but still it was good was it not? And I decided that Hiei is going to have a “thing” for Kurama. So this might end up being a Yoai and Lemon fic. Go me! Well hope you enjoyed. And thank you for those who are reading my story. If you see any mistakes that I missed please notify me so I can edit it. Well see you again in chapter three of Lost in Translation. Oh and I might put two characters in the next chapter fall for Hiei so if you want to be one of the characters please leave a review. Make sure to do a short description, not a long one. Make sure to also tell me how your character will act, personality wise.
