Last (Chap. 1):
“I found a stack of pictures from the time she spent with us, and I thought that one is good for placing on my desk.” He closed his eyes as his mind went back when he first met the person who came as close to being his sister.
Chapter 2:
He watched as Hiei took a observed the picture taken ages ago, with the flowers behind them, seeming to dance in the wind with the atmosphere of how the trio were in the picture.
It was at this train of thought that he remembered how all of the plants in the garden of Reiyuki’s small home had always been at their best. He has his suspicions, But Kurama kept them to himself.
In any case, the last time they both saw her in action, she was able to shoot mini spirit daggers and other sharp projectiles that seemed to sprout out of her fingers. Hiei can still remember dodging the little blades in black blurs, and the little ningen complaining how he was too fast even for a youkai with Kurama backing her up on that account. And that time at the airport, when she was about to leave, for good it seemed, even though he knows that she’ll be back someday. The only question was, is when.
All in all, the red head was right. As much as he disliked human, Hiei did miss the girl. More than he’d ever admit. ‘Yuki-chan….’
R 20;We should go now” Kurama said coming out of his thoughts. Hiei put the picture back where Kurama got it and gave a slight nod as a response. Unconsciously, his hand came to his chest and felt ‘it’. ‘It’ was a part of a three piece detachable locket made for three people. Attached to the locket was a long piece of silver chain so there was no danger of it being revealed if his collar went to low by chance when fighting an enemy. He made sure to have Kurama keep it safe when he goes off to dangerous business (Like the time he stole the sword, or the during his fights in the dark tournament). The little token served as a going away present from her when she left to England. Each piece had a small group picture of the 3 of them and wouldn’t do any good if a demon happens to notice him keeping such a thing.
Focusing back on the present, the fire hanyou went with Kurama to Genkai’s temple where all the other members of their mixed-up team were already gathered. He could see them all in the shrine house being their annoying human selves (other than Genkai and Yukina) and was a bit surprised to see Keiko there as well.
“We’ll see her again. She promised that remember?” Hiei was startled, but hardly let it show, like all other emotions he felt, if any. Up until now, Kurama hadn’t brought up the subject of him thinking about her again when they left the house until now.
“Che. Of course I do” With that, he went in ahead to greet his sister and ignoring all the others in the process. He only spared a small nod towards Genkai and settled to a dark corner.
‘Yuki-chan would be glad to know Hiei found his sister’ thought Kurama as he joined the group, giving everyone a warm hello in contrast to his companion. Just in time too as Botan showed up with a black tape holding it over to Yusuke.
End
Author: Short, I know, but I dunno what else to right. The next bit belongs in anew chapter. Anyway, sorry it took so long to have this up! I lost my notebook and I only recently found it! Oh, and please review! J Ciao!
