Chapter 5: Little Things
No one had ever had a child in Sinya Yume. No one was ever a child in Sinya Yume. Therefore, there were no children's clothes in Sinya Yume. Meaning Kori had no clothes to wear.
Yoko wrapped a blanket around the small girl, who continued to shiver, many times. Yoko picked her up and placed her in his lap where she immediatley cuddled up in his chest, making small comforting noises every few seconds.
"Hmph..." she let out, as Yoko opened the book he had been reading.
"Kori. What are you?" he asked, as he paged through the book. Why wasn't there anything about that sign on her forehead in any book? This was crazy.
Kori looked up at Yoko and blinked, shrugging her shoulders and wrapping her hand around the silver hair, going into a deep sleep.

By the time Yusuke, Kuwabara, and Hiei had returned; Kori was wide awake and fully dressed, flipping through a book that she had pullen out of a pile that Yoko had taken out of the library. (KS: Oiii.... Confused myself.) Yoko was sitting by her, keeping both his eyes on her. If she ran again, he would have to wash her again. And he did not look forward to that.
"Get what you need?" Yoko asked.
"Yeah. All we need to do is get it to Koenma," Yusuke replied. "Having fun with Kori?"
"If you count chasing her around, no," Yoko replied. Kori made a move to get away, but Yoko reached out and grabbed her shirt pulling her back. "No." She growled, but he hung on.
Kori let out a sound that was mixed between a sigh and a growl, but sat down and flipped through the book again. A sign of defeat that Yoko welcomed.

'What do toddlers eat?' Yoko asked himself, soon after Yusuke, Kuwabara, and Hiei left to go to Koenma's not only to give him what they had gone to the market for, but apparently there was some sort of discovery and they had to check it out.
Well at least they wouldn't seem him mess up, which was a good thing, well atleast he considered it was.
"What do you want?" Yoko asked Kori. She didn't seem to notice him as she was chasing a large butterfly. Yoko chukled slightly, amused by her antics. Could this truly be his Kori? Was she realy happy as a kit?
Kori made a strangled noise, as she tripped over herself and went tumbling forward. "Mmph." She had stopped, landing on her stomach her face turned towards Yoko.
"Are you alright?" Yoko asked, after picking her up and settling her in his one arm. (KS: If you don't know what I'm talking about, I'm sorry.)
They both watched, Kori more fascinated than Yoko, as the butterfly landed on Yoko's outstretch hand. "It's a butterfly, Kit," Yoko murrmurred.
She outstretched her small hand, and touched it. "Buerfie," Kori stated. (KS: She's pronouciny without the t and the l, just incase you wanted to know.)
Yoko laughed, "Good try, Kori. Good try."
Kori turned to face him and smiled slightly. Maybe there was a chance that Kori would always be this happy carefree person.
Yoko shook his head. That wasn't possible.
