Well I'm glad people are liking this. I was supposed to finish my other story and yeah... well I guess I got into this one a lot but don't fret this is far from over. By the way I already knew Hiei is Yukina's older brother but this is a/u come on! some twists will be good.

Hiei sighed and punched the wall. He begged him not to. He begged him and begged him and what did he do? He went.

He tried to talk to him, but he kept avoiding him. At least he didn't refuse his help. He kept paying half of Yukina's services. He leaned on the window and looked outside. It was raining. It had been for the last week. Koenma postponed the construction until it got drier, so they could go back to work.

Hiei lay down on his bed the week off had been good, his back was healing and he felt comfortable sleeping on the mattress now. He closed his eyes but he couldn't stop thinking of all the things Kurama was going through. He got up dressed himself and went out. Maybe a drive would help.

Kurama walked home slowly. He was tired, sad and angry.

He wiped the water away from his face. The weather reflected how he felt inside. He sniffled as tears stung his eyes.

He was weak physically and mentally. The bags under his eyes had returned he had lost weight and felt like shit.

He walked toward his apartment. He was glad his mother was somewhere else safe. He visited her once a week.

As he crossed the street, he heard a voice behind him. The thought of who it was gave him shivers.

"Is this what you want? Living in fear and being manipulated?"

Hiei was standing behind him. His clothes hung to his body. His hair had somewhat flattened down and covered his face a bit. He cleared his face running his fingers through his hair and pushing it back. The rain picked up and was pouring down on them.

Kurama turned to face him. He saw the same eyes. He saw at once anger, frustration and something else he never thought he would see. Fear.

"Hiei please-" He was cut off.

"Leave. You want me to leave, then tell me straight in the eyes that you don't want to see me That you don't want me here." Hiei moved closer. Kurama stepped back knowing if Hiei got close enough he wasn't going to pull away.

"I-I-I want you to leave." Kurama replied but was looking at the ground.

"Look me in the eyes damn it! And tell me. I'll leave you alone but look at me." Hiei took another step forward.

Kurama turned around and started to run away. Hiei bolted forward grabbed Kurama by the arm, spinned him around, grabbed his chin and crushed his lips against Kurama's. Kurama moaned and wrapped his arms around Hiei's neck. Hiei wrapped his arms around Kurama's waist bringing him closer. Hiei broke the kiss.

"Please stop doing this." He whispered on Kurama's lips then kissed him again.

"Hiei they threatened you. They threatened me. I don't want anything bad to happen to anyone." Kurama spoke through Hiei's kisses.

Hiei sighed ."You don't think I'm capable of protecting you?"

Kurama didn't answer.

"Damn it Kurama" Hiei release him.

"You know that if I don't go he'll come back after me and then he'll hurt you for interfering with me. And then he may do something to mother or you to teach me a lesson."

"Let him come. I'll teach him."

They both stood there soaked, the rain ceased a bit but was still falling.

Kurama stared at Hiei his clothes hung on to his body like a second skin he could make out his well body that was hidden.

"Hiei your soaked come inside."

Hiei nodded and walked inside Kurama's apartment. They both were dripping.

Kurama took off his clothes and headed towards his room to find Hiei some clothing he could wear.

Hiei took of his shirt and pants and followed Kurama to the bedroom.

Kurama changed into a pair of sweats and handed Hiei a pair too. They were a little big on him but Hiei managed.

"So are you going to keep avoiding me?" Asked Hiei.

"Even if I try you won't let me. But how am I going to get rid of Karasu?" Kurama asked as he went to bed, snuggling under the covers.

"Hiei would you like to join me?" Kurama asked as he noticed Hiei accommodating himself on the ground.

Hiei quickly went and joined the redhead. Hiei wrapped his arms around Kurama's waist, bringing him close. both entwined their legs with each other.

"Kurama you got to retaliate. Your mother is out of the way and the sooner they come to me the better."

Kurama was about to reply when Hiei shushed him.

"We'll think about it tomorrow."

Kurama snuggled closer to Hiei.

Hiei tighten his embraced and kiss Kurama's neck and place his hand under Kurama's shirt caressing his chest.

Kurama moaned. Hiei's hand were calloused but gentle which send shivers up his spine.

He move his neck exposing it more.

"Hiei" Kurama moaned as he turned around and wrapped his arms around Hiei's neck.

Hiei slowly and gently capture Kurama's lips and kiss him. He ran his tongue across Kurama's smooth lips asking for permission for entranced.

Immediately Kurama parted his lips and let him in.

Hiei slowly enter and explored running his tongue along the surface of Kurama's tongue. Kurama wrapped his arms tighter around Hiei's neck and deepen the kiss.

Hiei slowly ran his hand up Kurama's back while pulling his shirt off. Immediately both broke the kiss as soon the piece of cloth was out of their way lips crash onto each other again.

Hiei rolled so he be on top he slowly move from Kurama's lips to his neck he lapped his tongue around Kurama's collar bone and gently suck.

Kurama ran his fingers through Hiei's hair while squirming in pleasure.

Hiei lapped his tongue around Kurama's nipple's and suck on them gently.

Hiei hand then crawled downward towards Kurama's waist and slowly slip a hand inside and caress the harden member.

"you know" urged Kurama as he pushed his hips upwards and pushed his hand down guiding Hiei to go lower.

Hiei smirked and complied as he dipped his head lower and lick the very tip of Kurama's erection.

Kurama shudder he had never had any real pleasure done to him the new sensation felt wonderful.

"We have to get rid of him." Karasu told Bui.

"How?" Asked Bui.

"Are your sniper skills, still good?" Asked Karasu plotting his plan.

"Yeah."

"Good"

Kurama woke up when he heard Hiei talking to someone. Hiei was sitting on the ground talking on his cell phone.

"So the site is open again."

"But it's still wet are we going to."

"Oh so only a few are going to go"

"All right I'll be there. Bye"

"Damn" Sighed Hiei.

"Something wrong?" Kurama asked.

"They're going to open the site again for maintenance. I was randomly chosen to go help. My ass it was random."

Hiei muttered the last part.

He then got up and went to check his clothes. They were still wet but he changed into them.

"I have another change in the locker at work." He explained as Kurama looked at him strangely.

"Oh."

"I'll be back by evening. You won't go anywhere right?" Asked Hiei.

"I'll be here."

"All right Hiei, Yusuke, Kuwabara, you climb to the last three stories of the building. Just make sure any power equipment is off and secure the tarpaulin. They might have shifted because of the wind." Koenma ordered them.

All three strapped their harnesses on and started to climb upward. The elevators were off use because of the rain and technical difficulties.

Across the street a white Sedan was parked. Karasu was in the driver seat and Bui in the back.

"Now Bui the bullet is small and so is your target. You're not going to hit Hiei you're aiming at his rope. Try to get him while he is swinging. That way the bullet won't be stuck around the area."

Bui aimed the weapon and steadied himself. He looked through the scope and waited for Hiei to swing.

Hiei was almost done inspecting when he saw a lifted part of the tarpaulin he swung to reach it.

But he never reached it. He saw something fast go through his rope.

His mind went numb and he heard Yusuke and Kuwabara scream his name but it sounded so distant.

He felt his breath catch and all he saw was the sky. He thought

"Damn I said I'd be there."

His body felt heavy, as he knew he was going to meet death certainly.

Karasu drove away and muttered, "Accidents always happen to construction workers."

Hiei felt himself fall for an eternity. He wasn't able to make any inteligible or coherent thought. Suddenly he felt his body bolted upwards. In his knee he felt the bone snap up and out of place. He felt the muscle rip. Hhe pain was unbearable but soon his mind couldn't register it.

"Hiei hold on" Screamed Yusuke as he slid down trying to get to Hiei.

His foot got entwined with a loose chain and he was hanging by that. They could see blood soaking his pants. Kuwabara hurried up too, not wanting to see his brother in law's be scrambled brains on the pavement after falling five stories. Hiei had fallen three stories until his leg got caught. Kuwabara reached him first just in time as he was slipping again. Yusuke arrived soon afterwards helping Kuwabara untangle Hiei.

"Hiei can you hear me?" Asked Yusuke.

Hiei's eyes were open but he was in shock.

The last thing Hiei saw was a White Sedan pulling away.

Kurama sat in the waiting room with Yukina and everyone else was there. The cause of the fall was that his rope snapped but Kurama knew that was only half of the truth.

Yukina came out after seeing Hiei. Everyone stood up.

"He was lucky. His leg just got dislocated and the skin teared a bit. Other than that he will be able walk just like normal in a few weeks. He'll be sore and will have to wait for the skin to heal, since it split because of the chain that saved his life." Yukina said as Kuwabara comforted her.

"All right! That lucky bastard scared us there." Replied Yusuke. Botan sighed in relief as she snuggled closer to Koenma.

Kurama didn't reply or said anything. He was just thankful Hiei was alive and well. He was going to recuperate.

Soon afterwards everyone bid farewell except Yukina, Kuwabara and Kurama. Yukina stood and walked towards Kurama. She knelt in front of him and took a hold of his hands. Kurama couldn't bring himself to look at her directly in her eyes.

"You know he is very fond of you?" She said.

Kurama nodded.

"I've never seen him smile this much until he met you."

Kurama sniffled on the verged of tears.

"I know that when he wakes up he'll want to see you."

Kurama looked ay her and tears started to roll down his face. He nodded knowing what she meant.

He stood up and followed her to Hiei's room.

When he entered he felt like bursting out in tears.

Hiei looked so pale. He had lost a lot of blood. He could see a bag of blood and some IV fluids.

His leg was propped up and bandaged. He was asleep.

He went and sat next to the bed.

"Call if you need anything." She said and left.

Kurama stroked his hair gently and kissed him lightly on the lips. Then sobbed quietly in the dimmed room.
