Summary-Hiei Sees Visits Fox In The Graveyard One Night...
"Who can say where the road goes,
Where the day flows, only time?
And who can say if your love grows,
As your hearth chose, only time?"
He knelt slowly next to that stone headstone, red-brown eyes the color of blood locked on the name carved into that old stone. 'Yoko Kurama'. The wind whistled through the nearby willow trees, causing a bit of Hiei's hair to flow in front of his eyes. He crossed his legs and put his katana aside, pressing his palms together and putting them both to his lips to mutter a silent prayer. He did not look up as he sensed a presence behind him.
"Hiei...you came?" The fire demon looked over his shoulder, opening his eyes and giving the transparent figure a small smile before gesturing to the empty space behind him, "Sit fox." There was no sound as the silver fox demon folded his legs beneath him and slowly wrapped his arms around his smaller lover's body. Hiei frowned; he could see those ghostly arms around him, but felt nothing. Kurama wasn't there anymore.
He smiled softly when he heard soft humming in his ear, and watched those white hands move upwards to stroke his hair. Once more, there was nothing. The music abruptly ceased, and Kurama pulled away with a soft sigh, "I'm sorry, love. I can't...I can't really hold you anymore can I?" Those golden eyes were filled with sadness despite the smile. Hiei bit his lip, wishing he could kiss the fox again, hold him close. They were in different worlds now.
Hiei shivered as a wind blew, the fox obviously unaffected. Kurama flipped a lock of snowy hair over his shoulder, placing one hand on his hip with the other hung at the side, that slim body...soul...arched into that feminine stance, "You should go home, dear. You'll catch a chill if you stay out long." "But won't you-" Kurama held up a hand, still smirking.
"I cannot get sick, as I have no body. I'll keep an eye on you, ok love? You won't have to be alone..." Hiei seemed to consider it for a moment, then gave a nod, walking over to the tall fox and gesturing him to come closer. The kitsune apparition knelt down so he could be just below eye-level, and he felt unfamiliar warmth when Hiei's lips "touched" his own. When Hiei pulled away, there was a sad smile on his face, "I'm not sure if you could feel that, but I figured what the hell."
Kurama chuckled standing and putting a hand to the small of Hiei's back, "Go on home now. You need the rest."
*time*
As Hiei lay down on his bed, he raised his eyes, the color of dried blood, to look up at the spirit. Kurama smiled again and sat down at the foot of the bed. There was no weight where he was. "I'll keep an eye on you okay?" As Hiei closed his eyes, he faintly heard the kitsune humming a soft lullabye. The fire demon felt himself relax as he always did when Kurama sang while there was still blood in his veins.
Near the headstone with the name 'Yoko Kurama', black and white roses bloomed.
"Who can say why your heart sighs,
As your love flies, only time?
And who can say why your heart cries
When your love lies, only time?
Who can say when the roads meet,
That love might be ,in your heart?
And who can say when the day sleeps,
And the night keeps all your heart?
Night keeps all your heart.....
Who can say if your love groves,
As your heart chose, only time?
And who can say where the road goes
Where the day flows, only time?
Who knows? Only time
Who knows? Only time"
END!
