Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction ❯ Perspective ❯ Insanity ( Chapter 5 )

[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]
Hi everybody I’m back! Sorry I haven’t updated in a while but I got sick and Easter happened. Wow 10 reviews, I never could have imagined...Well, on with the story.

Disclaimer: I don’t own Yu Yu Hakusho, you, Tsunake, or Kaomi (They are real ppl.)

“Do I know you?” you asked, finally wiggling yourself out of her hug.

She pouted a little and said to Botan, “Why the hell doesn’t she remember?!”

“Her inner demon hasn’t yet awoken.” she said timidly.

“Well, no time lie the present to wake it up!” Kaomi grinned evilly, pulling a large mallet out of nowhere.

You started to step back as she advanced on you with the mallet, “Are you always this hyper?”

“No! I just robbed a human candy store... Guess what! I like gummy bears!” she shouted while jumping up and down. The mallet mysteriously disappeared and you let out a sigh of relief.

“Can you tell me exactly who you are?” you asked her.

“Oh, like I said, I’m Kaomi. We were partners in crime, living in the demon world. We had just gotten done with slaughtering a village and we were running off. It seems that one demon had hidden from us and shot you in the back with an arrow. His aim was good, so you died practically instantly.” she said. Your dream came to mind. (So that was my...past.)

Kaomi began to speak again. “I knew that you wouldn’t let the Spirit World get a hold of your soul, so I’ve spent nearly 20 years looking for your reincarnation. Now, here I am!” she smiled.

“Crime?”

“You know. Murder, thieving, the works.” she smiled.

“Ok...Nice to meet you.” you said. She rolled her eyes and heaved a sigh.

“So, where do I sleep?” she said, tilting her head. Everyone stared at her, unsure if letting her stay would end up with the temple destroyed. Kurama shot you a quick glance. (Guess I’ve got another roommate.)

Kaomi has seen the glance and shouted, “Yay! Where’s the room?” You gave her the directions and she nodded in understanding. She took out a giant can of bug spray.

“What are you doing?” Yusuke asked.
“I’ve got to exterminate the fuzzy, pink bunnies! They lurk in the shadows.” With that, she left, shaking the can of bug spray as she went.

“Ok. Let’s all agree to hide the sugar.” you said to everyone. They nodded and went off in different directions to hide all forms of sugar. You went into the kitchen to see that Yukina had begun to make dinner for everyone. You decided to help her out, it was the least you could do. After all, even though they had to let you stay there, you didn’t want to be a freeloader.

It amazed you at how well she could cook. As you watched her and helped gather and measure ingredients, you learned a lot. Especially since before, all that you could make on your own without messing up, was cold cereal. After a large mass of food had been prepared, you called everyone to the table. Yusuke, Kuwabara, and Kaomi burst into the room almost immediately and the others strolled in casually.

You sat in your chair, eating your meal with a fork. Everyone else was using chopsticks and you felt a little akward. You watched them skillfully pick up decently sized amounts of rice, except for Kuwabara, bits of food were flying from his direction.

You ate until you couldn’t eat anymore. Genkai turned to you.

“You and your roommates should get some sleep. You’re going to have a tough day training tomorrow.”

You got up and washed your plate. Then, you went into your room. Tsunake and Kaomi were already asleep on mats that were on the floor. You looked to see that your bed had been replaced with an identical mat. As you tiptoed to it, you caught the strong scent of bug spray.

You looked over to the corner that the smell was coming from. A large pile of fluffy, pink balls was sitting there. (I REALLY don’t want to know.) You though as you laid yourself down on your mat. Then, you went to sleep, barely containing your excitement.

“Ahhhh!”

You woke up to an earsplitting shriek. You saw Kaomi running around in circles, screaming.

“What the hell is it?” Tsunake growled, sitting up.

Kaomi answered in a high pitched voice, “I missed one! I missed one!” A small, pink rabbit was hopping contentedly around the room. You raised an eyebrow.

“Damn rabbit!” Tsunake said and kicked it. The tiny creature zoomed through the washi paper door, leaving a small hole. “There! You happy?!” she said to Kaomi angrily.

Kaomi just nodded and quickly laid back down on her mat. In a matter of seconds, she was back to sleep.

“God, how much fucking candy did she eat?” you said to no one in particular.

Just then, Kuwabara, in nothing but his boxers, slid the door open and ran into the room. “What’s wrong? I heard screaming!”

You grabbed a pillow and held it tightly over your face.

“Oh god! My eyes!” Tsunake said, literally trying to scratch out her eyes. Kuwabara just stood there, confused. Yusuke, who was in pajamas, finally came and pushed him out of the room.

“Sorry ladies!” Yusuke grinned. “You can go back to sleep now!” And he shut the door. Tsunake turned to you.

“There is no way that I can go back to sleep after seeing that. I’ll have nightmares.”

“Same here.” The both of you stood up and stretched. Then, you headed to the front room. Genkai was there.

“I see that you’re up early.” she said. “I would have to attack Yusuke to wake him up.”

“What’s this training supposed to be like?” you asked.

“All three of you will have spirit weapons with Kuwabara, weapons with Hiei, physical fighting with Yusuke and Kurama, and I will give you mental training.”

You and Tsunake sighed. It was going to be a long day.
