You already got the info for what's going to happen so I'll just skip to the disclaimer btw this shall be for the WHOLE story…no I own nothing `cept my plotline and my character! Thus the name fanfiction….fic-tion….I'll say it again fi-c-tion....defined; not real….*bows* thank you now here's the story!

Chapter one

The beginning of trouble

You are standing in front of your charge for today. "I just have to guard this temple… I wonder what's so precious that they get a well known guard everyday. I think those Taguro brother's are guarding it tomorrow." You speak to yourself. "Just so the demon thief's don't get it? Right… they are sooo worried about it getting stolen… If I were a thief I wouldn't try for something that isn't highly guarded unless that means it's more priceless." You spoke to yourself then jumped into a tree to watch the entrance from there. The temple gate was shut and locked and you are the only guard. Not that you couldn't handle it, you have never failed your duty before. This is your job you guard, destroy, and steal treasures for money. You also work as an assassin sometimes. "They said I have to watch out for the Misteri thief clan especially since the day after tomorrow they're moving it to the Kings' vault." You looked around with solemn eyes. "That human slob musta made a deal with pacifier breath." You laughed. You looked around once again when you hear a small twig snap. "Doppelgangers." You whisper but wait before summoning them. Now you sense the demons, about 10 of them. `Now to bait them.' You think, `Maybe one of them will have a bounty…' You jump down from the tree and land in front of the gate smiling.

"Aww, come on there's just one." A demon stepped out from his hiding place. He had long pointy ears, short cropped spiky turquoise hair, and deep blood red eyes.

"Ya, an' sh' loo'ks like an human!" Another demon spoke as he too stepped into the open. This one had blue skin and black hair and eyes.

"Fools! You violated two of the top rules." The two demons cowered under the voice, which seemed to come from all sides so you couldn't pin-point it.

"One! Never reveal your position! Two! Never underestimate your enemy!" You could hear the anger as the voice told the two off.

"If you really think this girl is a human, try to fight her! Oh and if you survive…. I demote you."

"What is this some kind of thief training class?" You ask putting on an impatient look on your face. The two demons exchange nervous glances', which tells you that you hit the nail on the head. "Well then what are you waiting for?" You ask another question and then snapped your fingers. You could sense the other demons moving, using this as a diversion. You smile `Too late.' You think as your doppelgangers position themselves. The two demons charge at you, you pull twin kodachis from seemingly nowhere slicing at both at the same time. `Game set, match.' As the two demons hit the ground dead you say. "I know where you are!"

You hear some stifled cries of surprise as your copies appear to fight a demon each. You stand there waiting for one of the demons to beat their copy. One female fox demon with short black hair, black ears, and tail, and piercing green eyes runs out from the trees. She has several cuts but obviously beat you double. Her eyes showed fear, which made you grin.

"Not you again!" She whispered.

You threw a knock out dart at her, but just then two more demons ran out from the trees. This caught you by surprise because you hadn't sensed them. One had long silver hair and sliver fox ears and tail. He had gold eyes and as wearing a white training outfit. The other had long black hair which was up in a ponytail and long pointy elf-like ears. He also had black bat wings and deep gray/blur eyes. He wore a tattered black hat and a black shirt and belt. He had on white pants black cloth-like shoes, and had black ribbon wrapped around his arms. Both saw the dart and the bat demon cut it in half with his scythe, keeping it from hitting the girl. The fox turned to look at you, but you had already disappeared. All three demons looked around for you, and then you reappear behind the two guys. You stabbed them with knock-out darts. As the bat demon, ((a/n: I'm now calling them by their names…)) Kuronue and the fox demon, Yoko fell the female kitsune ((a/n: fox)) whimpered.

"I think your lessons need improving." You laugh then turn to her. "Go to your village and tell them a great illusionist has fallen your thieves-in-training and taken one as prisoner."

She shook her head then moved to a fighting stance.

You roll your eyes, "Fine but you will be the one to tell your village, you're the only one who knows. All your comrades are out cold."

She collapsed after you say that, a copy of yourself is standing behind her.

You smile then look down at Kuronue and Yoko silently deciding who to choose.
