Kurama walked into Koenma's office.

"Good. You came." Koenma said. "Come here."

Kurama walked closer, and saw a ratty looking sword on Koenma's desk.

"This sword belonged to the famed half-demon, InuYasha. We found it in the Underworld vault just a short while ago." Koenma explained. "It has one of the Sacred Jewel shards in it. You do know the legends, don't you?"

Kurama shook his head.

"I might have heard them once, but it would've been a long time ago." He replied.

"They say that if a demon has just one Sacred Jewel shard, then it would be as if the demon had swallowed the whole thing."

"And why did you call me here?"

"I want you to locate this girl." He shoved a picture at Kurama. "Higurashi Kagome, age sixteen. She has connections to InuYasha, as well as most of the Shikon no Tama. Find her, and bring her to me. I want to know how she knows InuYasha."

"Does her file not say anything about that?" Kurama asked, picking up the sword and shoving the picture into his coat pocket.

"No, it doesn't. Which surprises me." Koenma replied.

"I'll bring Higurashi to you. It shouldn't take too long." Kurama headed out the door.

`It shouldn't take too long? Hah, famous last words Kurama…' Kurama mused silently, chuckling to himself.

Come to find out, it was just as Kurama had suspected. Higurashi Kagome was not easy to find. He went up to the Sunset Shrine, but the girl was not home.

"She's at school. What do you need with her?" Kagome's mother asked. Kurama thought quickly.

"I need to talk to her about the Sacred Jewel." He said, which was partly true. "And I have something that belongs to a friend of hers…"

He showed Ms. Higurashi the Tetsusaiga.

"Oh! She is actually home. But not for long." Her mother ushered him inside. "Kagome!"

"Yeah, Mom?" Kagome came downstairs.

"This man wanted to talk to you about something." Her mother started to leave. "I'll leave you two alone."

"Who are you?" Kagome asked. Kurama smiled.

"Minamino Shuichi. It is nice to make your acquaintance, Higurashi-san." He replied, and gave a polite bow. Kagome returned it, and noticed the Tetsusaiga.

"But first, explain how come you have the Tetsusaiga."

Kurama explained it to her.

"…But does that mean InuYasha doesn't exist in this time period?" She asked hesitantly.

"It's a possibility, but I was hoping you know." He replied.

"I don't." Kagome shook her head. "And I have to go visit a friend…He's not feeling well…"

Kurama was not falling for that lie.

"My boss wants to speak with you, Higurashi-san. It's very important." He said.

"I'm not falling for that." She said, narrowing her eyes.

"Fine then. I was hoping you'd come along peacefully." Kurama sighed, and took out a seed. "I guess I'll have to use force."

"What's…that…?" She started to ask, but Kurama's plant had grown and was producing sleeping spores. Kurama had his mouth covered. He picked Kagome up and put her on his back while opening a portal to Spirit World. When Kagome's mom came in with tea and cookies, Kurama was gone, along with Kagome.
