“Are you sure koi?” A silver Kitsume questioned a honey haired vixen sitting opposite of a bat demon. “Your expecting kits?”

 

“No, Youko, I'm with one kit, not a litter,” She replied as tears gathered in her eyes. “Youko, do you want our kit?” Looking at the bat demon, whom had convenced her to tell her mate, before he could smell the change in her.

 

“Do I want our kit,” Youko shouted “How can you ask me that? Of course I want our kit, Koi. It's my kit too!” Noticing her shaking at his out burst, he lowered his voice. “Koi, of course I want our kit, what makes you think I wouldn't want it?”

 

The vixen began to cry harder, as the bat demon explained. “She over heard some of the other men talking about a woman in the village. Her mate didn't want the responcibilty of pups, so he accused her of mating with a human, because she was only having one pup. He insisted on her being excuted. He gave the pup to his dame. She was afraid that you would think that she was unfaithful. So she came to me for advice Youko

 

“Koi, have I ever given you a reason to fear me?” kneeling beside her he asked, “ Have I ever laid a hand on you in anger?” Lifting her chin so that she was looking at him. “I have never given you a reason to question my love, Koi? Have I?” he asked softly.

 

“No Youko, you haven't.” she said so low, that he could barely hear her.

 

“Koi, why do you question me wanting our pup?” Taking her hand he asked.

 

“But Youko…..” She started to say.

 

“No, buts Koi. I love you and I will love our pup.” He stated snaking his arms around her. “I love you, Koi. Please never never forget that. Now go rest.” Smiling he watched as she left. “Kuronue, Can you beleave it I'm going to be a farther.”

 

“Congraulations, Youko.” Kuronue said as he poured them a drink.

 

Everyone of importance was gathered around the table eating and discussing the next robbery, when one of their two leaders stood. “My fellow thieves, I was given some wonderful news today. My mate, Kira, is expecting a kit.” Pulling her up to him, he gave her a kiss.

 

A loud roar of congradulations came from every one in attendance, as they stared at the couple.

 

A one elderly demoness spoke, “ Youko, I hope you are not going to continue to let Kira go on raids. She's in a very delicate condidtion.”

 

“Of course he's going to allow me to continue to go with him.” Kira piped up.

 

A low growl came from the silver kitsume. “How dare you, even think that I would put my mate and unborn kit in danger, Lotis. Kira is confined to the den, until after the pup is born!” He growled causing everyone nearby to flinch.

 

“But Youko,” Kira pleaded. “Who will watch your back and Kuronue's back.

 

“We will watch each others back,” Youko roared. “LEAVE US!” Slamming his fist so hard in to the table, he cracked it. His mate quickly stood and left the room, followed by Lotis.
