One year later

I sit in a forest outside the park.

I remember when my best friend sat here with me.

She can never do that again.

Never.

I learned all about spirit world when I met her.

And the spirit detectives.

The one that interested me the most was Hiei.

Hiei,

Your death will be by my hand.

For her,

Niala.

She did nothing to you yet you slit her throat without a second thought.

She was your target.

As now you are mine.

Revenge,

A lovely word that sounds so sweet you could crave it.

I stood and walked deeper into the forest.

The bushes behind me rustled.

4 guys jumped out.

“ We are the spirit detectives. You are under arrest.”

I turned and looked at them with a practiced innocent face.

“ I am Wolf of Flames and I am going nowhere.”

Then I transformed to my demon form.

My red eyes flickered from person to person to determine how much of a threat they were.

Orange head= no threat

Gelled head=mild

Red head= mild

Spiky head= big

I wasted no time turning and running using my speed to help.

As I expected they followed with Hiei in the lead.

(A/N: well what were they supposed to do? Return to Koenma empty-handed?)

I spent a lot of my time in Ningenkai training to strengthen my speed so I easily outran Hiei so I slowed down to let him catch me.

And he did in a clearing deep in the forest.

I smirked as we stopped and took out our katanas.

A millisecond later our katanas clashed.

I pushed back and disappeared, reappearing behind him seconds later.

I threw a silver and black fireball at him and he caught it, demolishing it with his own flame.

“ Fire Demon are we?” He `Hn'ed when I said this. “No problem.”

I started to throw water balls at him.

He dodged a few but most made contact, leaving him soaking wet and unable to use his firepowers.

“Well Hiei, this is a disappointment.”

Hiei frowned and attacked me again with his speed.

I jumped away and landed gracefully landed several meters away.

I took out my 4 silver daggers and threw them.

 

One of them drove itself into his left shoulder.

He wrapped his hand around the handle and swiftly pulled it out, throwing it at me.

He was shocked that I didn't move and I was smirking.

I put my arm out and it looked like the dagger was going to rip through the flesh there.

Except it didn't.

The dagger stopped in mid-air right before it hit my skin. “ Never underestimate your opponent.” I said my lips grew from smirk into a grin.

I grabbed the handle of that dagger and sliced my arm. My skin didn't even show a scratch.

“My daggers are designed to scar my opponents, not myself our anyone that shares my blood.”

Hiei disappeared a second later and I sighed annoyed.

`The game is getting boring' and I smiled and continued thinking, ` Lets see if he can handle my full power.'

I unmasked my full power and my red aura flew around me. I felt Hiei stop and I knew he was staring wide-eyed at my back from above me, as were his friends in the bushes. I knew they had been there the whole time watching. Obviously Hiei had not wanted them to interfere.

Hiei's shock disappeared and attacked with his sword…

At my after image.

I materialized behind him and hit him with the hilt of my katana sending him speeding toward the ground.

He slowly got up as I landed and I wasn't very surprised.

Death came before surrender. I lived by that rule, as did he.

Suddenly he collapsed on the ground and I walked over to him, ready to deliver the ending blow when a green whip covered in thorns wrapped around me.

I didn't even wince when the thorns bit into my skin but instead I let the blood flow freely down my body onto the whip. I could not feel the pain.

The gelled-haired guy I remembered Niala called Yusuke picked up Hiei. I knew that the redhead Kurama was holding me with the whip, which I could demolish in a second but that was a waste of energy.

Finally the whip was removed and I was shoved backward into a portal that I heard appear behind us seconds before.
