~*~*~*Story Start*~*~*~
I watched Kuwabara march over to Byakko, his face held a determined look. If this had been different circumstances and I didn't hear him speak, I would've actually taken him seriously. However that wasn't the case, knowing Kuwabara like I do now, that expression was going to diminish in a few seconds. I crossed my arms, leaning against the tower that we had entered through, a bored but alert look was in my eyes, while my face remained perfectly emotionless. I know I have said that I don't like Kuwabara, but the guy was starting to grow on me, and I didn't want this guy to die. But also, if Kuwabara died then that would mean we would have one less person on our side and we would be totally screwed. I did not want to be youkai chow thank you, and I was not going to let a ningen decide my fate. That would be the last thing I would let happen, and I could tell a certain gravity-defying, black haired fire youkai thinking the same thing.
"He better win, or I'll kill him." I stated, my eyes narrowing on Kuwabara's stopped form before the huge, muscular blue tiger youkai.
A soft ruffle of clothing being moved approached my ears and I side-glanced, Hiei had moved somewhat closer to our small group. "I may have to help you on that, Onna." Came the cold reply.
"Knowing you, you wouldn't let me help at all." I mumbled.
"True."
"Asshole." I growled with an irk mark, but I should be angry at myself for even thinking that Hiei and I would have one nice conversation. That wouldn't happen in this world's lifetime, however it was nice to hope for something like that to happen.
"You know, I don't think this is the most appropriate conversation to be having right now." Yusuke turned to us, a sweat drop on the back of his black gelled hair.
"Sorry." I rubbing the back of my head with a sweat drop, a nervous shaking in my tone.
"Hn." Hiei grunted, his cold gaze not even taking Yusuke into consideration.
Turning out attention back to the soon-to-be fight, our gazes rested on Byakko. He watched the approaching Kuwabara with a look that seemed to be blank at first glance. However, if you looked closer you could see his expression slowly take on the form of anger, disbelief and insanity. His eyes narrowed and his pupils shrunk to the size of peas, little blood red cracks crowded around the edges of the yellow of his eyes, adding more to the insane look. His muscles tensed, as if this came to a shock to him to see how this ningen was serious about wanting to fight him on his own. His fangs were bared, his anger becoming more apparent now as Kuwabara stopped in front of him, a deep growl emitted from his throat, making him more of the cat he looked like.
"You don't believe you can defeat me with just a mere human, do you?" Byakko asked, the hair rising slightly into the air as his anger peeking the breaking point.
"I don't believe it either." I mumbled quietly to myself, a roll of my ruby red eyes.
Kuwabara narrowed his beady eyes, not liking how Byakko was treating him like dirt. He clenched his fist, feeling renewed anger flowing through him. How many times did he have to go through this? Always being the butt of the joke? Never being taken seriously, no matter how hard he tried? He was getting sick of it, especially when he saw how his teammates and his enemy were regarding him as the weakest link. It wasn't that bad when it was against the rival schools back in Ningenkai, he could kick their asses no problem since he was the second toughest kid at his school. But now, he was going to prove himself to his teammates that he could handle himself, that he could defeat a youkai. He had that power, he could make a sword made out of his spirit energy, not something a normal ningen could do.
"Let's fight, Byakko monster!" Kuwabara shouted up to the tiger, wanting the attention to go back to him.
Silence passed and the rest of us waited in anticipation, wondering who was going to attack first. Instinct told us that it would be Byakko, so our gazes rested on him. Byakko still had that same angry, disbelieving insane look on his face. I swallowed thickly, I hated these stupid slow dramatic moments before a battle, it always gets you so edgy it was annoying. Suddenly the atmosphere changed once Byakko's lips twitched upwards before they were up in a smile as hysterical laughter erupted form him, making us all sweat drop. What the hell just happened?
"Please! I can't stay angry if you make me laugh!" Byakko shouted laughing louder, his arms wrapped around his stomach as what Kuwabara said was comic gold. I let my hand smack against my forehead, ignoring the pain as I groaned at how idiotic this turned out to be.
Kuwabara gritted his teeth, his eyes narrowing into a dangerous glare. "I'm serious! Now come down here so I can knocked your lights out!" Kuwabara sent his right fist into his palm, indicating he was 'ready to kick ass'. Suuuure.
"Stop it. I can rip you to shreds with just the hairs on my mane." Byakko said, stopping his laughter, his expression going back to his normal, killing look.
Kuwabara rolled his eyes and asked in a sarcastic tone. "Oh really?"
Now hearing that made Byakko glare down at Kuwabara, probably thinking something about him being a despicable ningen who didn't know who he was messing with. Byakko rose his right clawed hand and reached for his green mane and plucked four strands out his head. His lowered his hands to his mouth and blew on them, sending them into the air. However what came down were not pieces of hair, but four green furred youkai with sharp fangs and glowing yellow eyes.
"Oh shit! I'm so glad my hair doesn't do that!" I shouted with a shocked look on my face, my hands clutching my black, purple high-lighted hair.
"Kira." Kurama said, his voice consisted of a warning, wanting me to remember that Kuwabara could get hurt very badly in this fight. He was, even though he didn't want us to remember, a ningen who could easily be killed with one swipe of Byakko's claws.
I sweat dropped but gave him an apologetic smile. "Sorry, I just wanted to lighten up the mood, that's all." I said, ignoring the roll of Hiei's eyes. Speaking of Hiei...
*Hey Hiei." I thought glancing at the fire youkai.
{Hn.}
*Nice to speak to you too, 'buddy', but I was thinking, maybe you could help Kuwabara if this fight becomes more than he can handle.*
{Why the hell would I do that?}
*Because...* I blinked in confusion, trying to think of something. *Uh...pass?*
{No.}
I shrugged slightly, I tried that's more than the others could say. Switching my gaze back at Kuwabara, seeing him stepping back as the youkai eyed him hungrily. Drool dripped from their fangs, hardly containing themselves at the sight of their pray, just wanting to rip him to pieces. And I would be lying if I said that I didn't feel bad for the guy, I would hate to be in his position. For two reasons, 1) I don't want to be eaten by anything, and 2) they were fucking hair! That would be the most upsetting thing to be known for being killed by hair! Well that's how I see it, but whatever.
"These beasts are only a small part of my strength. But like me, they are hungry and you are the perfect meat, they don't mind sharing. But you might be in a little tug-o-war." Byakko explained with a smirk, watching his monsters leap in to attack the ningen.
Kuwabara watched with wide eyes, not being able to move out of fear. One youkai reached him first, slashing Kuwabara across the chest with it's tail, landing behind him. Kuwabara sank to his knees instantly, his hand clutching the freshly made wound, blood seeping out from under his hand. His face scrunched out of pain, his other hand clenching to keep himself from shouting. Yusuke, Kurama and I glared angrily, the metallic smell of blood in the air, oh Byakko was pissing off the wrong people. However we did promise not to help him, since we didn't help Kurama during his fight with Byakko. But that didn't mean we didn't want to, seeing our teammates blood fly really wasn't the most pleasing thing to watch - to Hiei it was, but not us.
"Kuwabara!" Yusuke shouted, stepping forward as he gritted his teeth out of anger.
Kurama and I stared at the beast with surprised looks, once the anger passed through, but still lingered. That youkai moved at an amazing speed, while at first it only seemed like Kuwabara was too scared to move. "You two saw how fast that youkai was, right?" I asked turning to Hiei and Kurama, my eyes narrowing.
"Yes." Kurama nodded, while Hiei only made another 'Hn' noise.
"That was a free-b." Kuwabara said, shakily getting to his feet. He sucked in a breath and held out his right hand, left hand latched onto the wrist. "Spirit Sword!" He shouted, the family orange sword of energy protruding out of the sphere in his palm.
"Ah! You can use your energy as a weapon. Very impressive, but I'm afraid it won't aid in your survival for very long!" Byakko said, his expression turning back to the insane look like before.
As if on cue, on of the hair beasts ran towards Kuwabara, it's fangs bared as it let out a roar. Kuwabara took a step back, preparing himself as he raised his sword in the air, getting ready to swipe down at it. But the beast wasn't going to make it easy for Kuwabara, it easily evaded the bright orange sword as it lunged at Kuwabara, bringing it's claws across Kuwabara's chest again. New blood flew into the air, and another shout of pain erupted from Kuwabara's throat. The beast jumped back, creating distance between itself and the pain ridden ningen that was only a few feet away.
"On no!" Yusuke shouted, angry to know that he couldn't stop the fight. His fist were clenched tightly, his eyes narrowing at his friend.
He wasn't the only one angry, me and Kurama were right behind him, and our anger was only going to intensify. After the first attack, the other three jumped into action. Claws sank into skin as they jumped around Kuwabara rapidly. The smell of blood was becoming more apparent and Kuwabara's yells of pain were now becoming screams of agony. He didn't have any time to attack the beasts around him, but whenever a miracle happened and he did, he would miss them as they jumped over him and attacked him from behind. My eyes were now in a permanent death glare, watching as the ningen I was considering to be a friend was being clawed to death in front of me. Sure Kuwabara is an idiot and he pisses me off with the things he says all the time, but I couldn't watch this. However, the beasts lept away from Kuwabara, letting him gather his breath for the next time they attacked.
Kuwabara had gashes and lines oozing red blood all over his body, his pants and shirt ripped. He was breathing heavily, slumping forward. His right hand still gripped the Spirit Sword, and he clenched it tightly, as if to use it. Beady eyes narrowed in determination and anger, glaring at the beasts who had reduced him to this state. My eyes widened at him, already knowing what he was thinking.
"Kuwabara! Get your back against the wall!" I shouted, my hands cupped around my mouth.
He, however, ignored me as he stood up straighter. His breath still came out rapidly and heavy, but he wasn't going to let that stop him from quitting his fight. Kuwabara ignored me as he got into a fighting stance, his narrowed gaze still on the green beasts. And a second later his form was running towards two beasts, his sights set on one. He let his sword fly at that one, letting the other one have the perfect opportunity to attack his back. I opened my mouth to warn him, but Kuwabara surprised me when he dodged the claw, making it miss by an inch. Kuwabara fixed his stance quickly, turning his sword at the one that tried to attack, and swiped the sword towards it. But it missed, and the beast jumped back a couple feet, letting a growl emit from it's throat, clearly annoyed by how it didn't hurt it's pray. However all that seemed to be a little act, and the beast Kuwabara was going to attack first sank it's claws into his flesh, making him let out another scream of pain.
"He has no strategy, he's just swinging his sword with the grace of a fly swatter. That's no way to survive." Hiei said with a sneer.
I took my eyes away from Kuwabara, the two beasts attacking him again. I stared at Hiei a little confused, what the hell was a 'fly swatter'? What ever it was, apparently it was something in Ningenkai, since nothing like that exists in Makai. The sound of Kuwabara's screaming made my eyes snap back over to him. The beasts were all around him, jumping over him to slash at his head, others were running around him as they clawed his chest, legs, and sides. Their once white claws were now coated thickly in Kuwabara's blood, and they all jumped in the air together, attacking him all at once. More blood flew onto the platform, and I was now amazed and horrified, wondering how Kuwabara wasn't dead or unconscious yet.
"Kuwabara! Let me take them instead! I know you want to fight this one! But there's way too many of those things to swing a sword at! My shot gun blast just makes more sense that way! Come on Kuwabara! Please!" Yusuke shouted desperately as he took a step forward.
"Listen to him Kuwabara! You're going to die if you keep this up!" I shouted along, but Kuwabara paid us no mind. He just kept swinging -or attempting to- at the beasts.
Byakko laughed sadistically, enjoying the sight of Kuwabara's battered and bloody body being thrown around like nothing but a sack of meat. His red eyes glinted with sick joy, the screams and pleas from us were just too much. This all seemed to be nothing but a game, something to entertain himself with, and it was working. Byakko seemed to be having the time of his life, but that's something you would expect form a bloodthirsty youkai that had no soul. At times like these, it makes me ashamed to be in the same group as him.
"If your going to take the time to switch, you might as well all fight me at once. After all, nothing gives me more pleasure than a big group kill!" Byakko shouted to us, a smirk on his face.
However we ignored that remark, our attempts to get Kuwabara to stop were proving futile as he still stayed out there, getting beaten to a bloody, ripped up mess. "Ok Kuwabara! I don't care if you were trained or not! I'm coming in to help!" Yusuke shouted, preparing to run in.
Kuwabara stopped, and he instantly turned to look over his shoulder. In his eyes were a glare, causing Yusuke to stop. "Stay right there, I'm not asking for help! If you come up here I swear I'll turn this sword on you! I'm no wimp Urameshi, and I'm not stopping unless Byakko comes and stops me him self!" He shouted back, making me glare at him. He was an idiot if he actually thought he could take on all four of those things at once. It only made sense to have us help him, it would make sure none of us got even more injured, especially since Kurama can't fight anymore or he wants to risk opening his wounds even more. Ningen can be so stupid sometimes.
"Don't say that!" Yusuke shouted, glaring at his baka of a friend.
"If that's your choice of death, then fine! Beasts! You may rip his arms and legs off, and divide them amongst your selves. But leave the body for me, so I can finish him!" Byakko shouted to his beasts, the was off his lips, he was growing bored with this now and hearing Kuwabara say something like that obviously made him pissed for some unknown reason.
The beasts didn't object to the command, and happily lunged at him. Kuwabara's eyes widened as they approached with great speed and ran away from them. They all let out roars, saliva dripping from their sharp fangs, wanting to eat. Kuwabara looked back at the beasts, despite his fear he was smirking slightly. I shook my head at him, sometimes I wonder about his sanity! How can he just up and choose something like that, he doesn't have a strategy like Hiei said early, this was suicide! If I was actually some help I would be glad to help him against those things, and if Kuwabara wasn't as stubborn as an Ox, then I would be glad to help too. But no, Kuwabara just has to prove himself or something, thank you Hiei! Well I helped too, but I still blame him because he was the one who started it.
"Sorry monsters but you can't! Genkai just fixed these arms and I'm not breaking them again!" Kuwabara shouted back to the beasts.
Kuwabara's running was cut short when a beast jumped in front of him, slashing it's claws into his skin. Kuwabara let a yell fall from his lips and the other beasts soon joined in on the 'fun'. Kuwabara was being thrown around towards the other beasts, or in random direction, but still managed to stay on his feet. Not even all the strength that the beasts put into their attacks would make him fall, he really was stubborn as an Ox. I couldn't help but be impressed with him, all the other ningens would've been dead in the first 30 seconds of being placed in front of those beasts. I really hope he doesn't die...
A growl came from my left, and I saw Yusuke clenching his fists. His eyes were narrowed and he took off halfway down the slim walkway that connected to the platform. Yusuke stopped in the middle, leaving me, Hiei and Kurama to gasped or gape slightly at his actions. "Don't die for being stubborn you dope! Let me take over! There's no way you can beat all four of those beasts by swinging your sword around! Think about it!" Yusuke tried on more time to persuade Kuwabara.
Kuwabara looked over his shoulder at Yusuke, the beasts finally leaving him alone for a second. He looked down, muttering. "He's right."
"Kuwabara!" Yusuke shouted once more.
"Please, Kuwabara!" I shouted along with Yusuke. "Just do it!"
Kuwabara looked down for one more second. His eyes narrowed into a determined gaze as he looked forward at the beasts that were in pouncing position. "He's right!" Kuwabara said louder, and he turned around. He took off down the path, he headed towards us.
Byakko stared after Kuwabara, a confused expression on his face. But that melted away as he let out another laugh, thinking Kuwabara was running away. "After all that, he's finally had enough sense to retreat! But it's too late now! Now then you beasts, chase him back to his friends and eat them all!" Byakko shouted, and the beasts wasted no time doing that. Following Kuwabara down the path in a single file.
"There you see, in the end the baka runs away." Hiei smirked.
I let my hand fly to my forehead, letting a groan escape from my lips. "I can't believe he just realized it now." I mumbled.
Kurama narrowed his eyes, staring at the beasts as they were quickly gaining up on Kuwabara. "He won't make it." I looked as well when I heard that, and when I saw he was right, I nodded.
"Don't worry, I'll go as soon as he screams for help." Yusuke said with a smirk, jabbing his thumb at him self.
Another evil laugh came from Byakko's direction. The same insane look was washing over him, his eyes shrinking even smaller now, hardly containing himself as he wished to see Kuwabara die at the claws of his beasts. I sent a glare over at Byakko, god I can't wait until this bastard dies. All he's been doing is just saying stuff, shouting, and sending his beasts out to do his dirty work. If he was a real youkai he would be fighting his own battles, instead of hiding like a frightened little kitten. Well I'm sure he isn't frightened, but I just wanted to add that in :D.
"You know you can't escape!" Byakko shouted to Kuwabara, laughing louder.
Kuwabara ignored him as he ran just a few more feet before he stopped, turning to look over his shoulder at Byakko. "Who in the world said anything about escaping?" My eyes narrowed at Kuwabara, wondering what he meant. But we suddenly turned to look at the beasts, they were all lined up, with no where to go. The boys and I gasped, seeing what Kuwabara had been doing, and it was actually a good plan! "Sword get longer!" Kuwabara shouted as he held out his his sword, it doing as he instructed. And when the beasts ran towards Kuwabara again, he thrusted the sword towards them, smirking as he shouted. "Eat this!"
The sword pierced through the first one, leaving it to stop. The sword kept going, piercing through the second, third and forth, leaving them connected to each other and immobile. Byakko's eyes widened as he saw what Kuwabara did, and all of us were doing the same, still in shock at seeing Kuwabara do something smart. But Byakko's eyes narrowed back into that angry glare again, not liking how the fight was turning against him and going into Kuwabara's favor.
"It's true, I couldn't win by swinging my sword, but I could win by stabbing them once I got all four of these suckers lined up." Kuwabara said with a chuckle.
"Nice one, Kuwabara!" Yusuke and I shouted with pleased smiles on our faces, finally this fight is going to be over!
Hiei let a smirk fall on his lips. "Yes, he actually did something clever."
I couldn't help but laugh at the cocky grin on Kuwabara's face, very pleased to be hearing all the praise he was getting. And who wouldn't be happy when they just heard someone like Hiei say something positive for once, especially the word 'clever'? I would be fucking doing flips, but that would only happen if I actually cared about what Hiei thought. The little bastard can go straight to hell for an eternity for all I cared.
"Watch it Hiei, no use getting jealous on me for being good!" Kuwabara shouted as he started flexing his muscles.
I sweat dropped, the smile leaving my lips when I heard that. "Kuwabara, you came up with a clever idea one time, don't let it all go to your head." I had an -___- face on as I stared at him, still flexing. Yay...
The smile wiped off of Yusuke's lips as well, and he turned to Kuwabara as he pointed at the beasts. "What are you going to do know?" He asked.
For a second a confused look replaced the cocky one on Kuwabara's face. But another one came when he turned to us, saying. "I dunno! Make some sort of beast Shish-Kabob now!" And he laughed as his dumb joke.
Byakko's eyes twitched in anger, seeing how Kuwabara was having a good time. But he calmed himself and let out a little 'chuckle'. "Those beasts are still apart of me, just because they're chained up doesn't mean they can't chase you down. They just need more ENERGY!!!" Byakko shouted, his voice resonating off the air, if that was even possible.
"Byakko, you like to listen to yourself talk, don't you?" I asked as I raised an eyebrow, this guy talks way too loud.
However Byakko ignored my comment, and smirked. I narrowed my eyes, seeing the enemy smirk was never a good sign. Suddenly out of the corner of my eye something began to grow red, I quickly turned back to the front, seeing the beasts turning a demonic red color and they were growing steadily larger as well. Kuwabara let out a yelp of surprise, not expecting the beasts to be doing something like that. The beasts growled, and despite their connected state they all ran towards Kuwabara in unison, making the ningen run for his life. And the boys and I got into stances, seeing him coming closer to us, but only stepped out of the way when he went passed us.
"Do you think he knows it's a circle?" Hiei asked.
"Probably not." I said with a sweat drop, seeing Kuwabara go around the circular tower.
Kuwabara let a smirk fall on his lips as he saw the end of his sword, which he had placed in the wall of the tower before hand. When he drew closer he let the other end connect, making the beasts stop in their tracks, not being able to go any further. Another startled and surprised look fell on all our faces, Kuwabara came up with another good idea! That's two in one day, I'm not sure but I think we witnessed a real miracle, and that's really saying something.
"You just twist and seal!" Kuwabara shouted, smirking as he let go of the sword.
"I don't believe this!" Byakko shouted shocked.
"That's a little move I like to call, 'The Spirit Sword Monster Beast Doughnut!'" Kuwabara stated happily, admiring his work with a smile on his lips.
I let a sweat drop fall and I sighed. I don't know how this guys mind works! It makes me want to jump of this castle sometimes! But pushing that sudden and powerful urge behind me, I looked at Kuwabara with a deadpanned look. "You come up with that name all by yourself?" I asked sarcastically.
"Baka." Hiei rolled his eyes.
"I think 'Monster Beast Doughnut' is a perfect name." Kurama said sincerely, however he always sounded nice whenever he talked, so I'm not really sure right now.
Yusuke let out a chuckle, seeing what Kuwabara reduced Byakko's beasts to. He turned around, facing Byakko with a smirk on his lips. "Excuse me sir! I don't like this one, do you have chocolate with sprinkles?!" Yusuke shouted sarcastically, which I couldn't help but laugh at.
Byakko let a growl rumble in his throat, his eyes narrowing into slits at us. He was generally pissed off, and he clenched his fists tightly at us. "My own prey mocks me?! I will not tolerate that!" He shouted angrily.
"You best get ready to tolerate a lot more, you poor excuse for a cat!" Kuwabara shouted glaring, pointing his index finger at Byakko.
"My own prey! I can not allow this disgrace to continue!" Byakko shouted to him self before he roared angrily, spirit energy flew down to the beasts like lightning, sucking them back into Byakko, leaving nothing behind but a hole where the tower use to be. We all stared at this with wide eyes, never seeing spirit energy be so strong before.
"Tear up the castle how ever you want! It doesn't change the fact that your little monsters were beat, and you're about to be next!" Kuwabara shouted as he started walking towards the platform again.
Byakko growled, punching the tower he was standing on angrily, shouting. "Stupid, ningen! I am the White Tiger Byakko! One of the Four Saint Beasts and the greatest predator whoever lived!" I can officially say that all the sanity that Byakko once had, was lost and will never be returning, because he's about to go crazy.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think you've said that already, and I'm Kuwabara, now lets go!" Kuwabara said bored, stopping in front of Byakko who was a few yards away. He held out his hand, letting the Spirit Sword reappear and he pointed it at Byakko.
Byakko just about had enough with Kuwabara bad mouthing him, and he let out a roar. He lept into the air, crashing down in front of Kuwabara who barely stayed on his feet. And Byakko definitely looked bigger now that he was standing in front of Kuwabara, which meant that the shake was bigger. The boys and I stumbled slightly as the vibration hit us, and I accidentally bumped into Hiei, who rudely glared at me before pushing me off of him. I let out a nervous laugh, rubbing the back of my head, waiting for him to look away. When he did I let out a sigh before turning back to Kuwabara and Byakko, my eyes widening as I saw the huge height difference between the two. If I thought Kuwabara was a giant, I saw him as an ant now.
"What are the odds that Kuwabara starts calling for his mommy?" Yusuke asked.
I let a smirk form as I answered. "There are no odds, it's a definite possibility." Yusuke and Hiei smirked at my answer, thinking the same thing.
Byakko smirked down at Kuwabara, seeing him glare at him angrily. He started to chuckle, making all of us look at him puzzled, I know Kuwabara looks kind of funny but come on! "Ha! I can smell your fear, clearly your body knows something your brain does not!" He shouted, his voice just likes to keep getting louder and louder, doesn't it?
"Whats that?" Kuwabara asked glaring at him.
"If the sword is your only powerful weapon, then you can't hurt me! To tell you the truth, you'd be better off if you started attacking me with your little fingernails!" Byakko said, his smirk widened.
Kuwabara growled angrily, not liking how Byakko was practically laughing at him and calling him weak. "Well sorry if I don't believe you!" Kuwabara shouted as his sword sliced across Byakko's chest before he landed behind the huge 'white' tiger. "How's that?" Kuwabara asked cockily.
Byakko let out a roar, clenching his fist as he aimed it at Kuwabara. Speaking of Kuwabara, his eyes widened as he saw the massive fist fly towards him, and jumped out of the way just in time. Rocks flew from under Byakko's fist, showing what could have happened to Kuwabara if he wasn't as lucky as he just was. Kuwabara got into in his fighting stance again, and jumped into the air, slicing his sword down on Byakko's head and chest. Our eyes widened and most of us smirked at what we just saw.
"Ok, maybe the tiger will be calling home." Yusuke said with a smirk.
I would've smirked too, but something wasn't quite right about what just happened. Where was the blood? Why did we see a wound on Byakko's skin, not even his clothes were ripped, it's like Kuwabara didn't even hit him at all. And I know we all saw that thing go through him, but nothing. I narrowed my eyes suspiciously at Byakko, what did he do?
"Somethings wrong." Kurama said, his eyes narrowing as well.
"Yes." Hiei and I nodded, thank god. Normally I wouldn't like that me and Hiei just agreed on something, but I wanted to make sure that I was completely sane and I wasn't going out of my mind.
"What does he mean?" Yusuke asked, turning to me and Hiei with a confused look.
"Look closely at the two fighters." Hiei said, not taking his eyes off the two. Yusuke turned around as Hiei had said, and Hiei explained. "Judging by the attacks, Kuwabara obviously had the upper hand. But by looking at them, it looks like Kuwabara's taking all the blows."
Yusuke gasped when he saw Hiei was right. Kuwabara was barely even standing up, his form was slumped over and his breathing was heavy. Sweat went down his face, but he still refused to give up and forced himself to stand up straight. I bit my lip, it looks like Byakko was telling the truth when he said that Kuwabara's Spirit Sword wouldn't have any affect on him what-so-ever. Man Kuwabara's fight just completely sucks ass. I mean first he gets attacked by four beasts made of hair, and now he fights Byakko who isn't getting hurt by his attacks at all, I kind of feel bad for the guy, and I'm being sincere about that too.
"Could it be...?" Hiei trailed off, a thoughtful and confused expression on his face.
Suddenly it looked like things when from terrible to shit. A yellow light of spirit energy formed around Byakko, and if I thought he was tall before, well he was like a fucking giant now. He was growing bigger and bigger, making me wonder how the platform was even staying up since it was being held up by a two thin piece of rock.
"Byakko's size, it's increasing!" Kurama gasped wide eyed, but something caught his eye and he looked at Kuwabara. "Now I see, look down at Kuwabara's Spirit Sword." He instructed us, and we did so. Only to see a little stub left in his hand.
"What the...?!" Kuwabara shouted in surprise, looking down at it as well.
"It's getting smaller." Yusuke observed.
Kurama nodded and continued. "Exactly, the key to Byakko's increase, he's stealing Kuwabara's spirit energy."
"Well that fucking sucks!" I shouted with an irk mark.
A dark laugh filled the air, and all heads turned to one person. Byakko. He just loved to see us confused or in distress, but seeing it all at once was just too much for him. "You've finally caught me, I've been feeding off of every slash of your sword!" Byakko continued to laugh.
Kuwabara glared at the huge cat, and he forced his spirit energy into his sword. But by doing that, he made himself to weak and he fell to his knees. His sword diminished as Kuwabara breathed even harder now that he now had barely any spirit energy left, unless he wanted to force some of his life energy out. I bit my lip, glaring at Byakko angrily, he just can't make these things easy, huh? He just has to make all our lives a living hell before we beat him, and right now I'm not so sure that we can beat him, that's just fucking perfect! But I stopped my rant when I saw Kuwabara get to his feet, forcing himself to make another Spirit Sword, almost collapsing again, but he caught himself in time.
"Kuwabara! Are you crazy! Don't do it, it'll just make him bigger! Kuwabara don't be stupid!" Yusuke shouted running up to him a little, but stopped short.
Kuwabara raised the sword, running towards Byakko, ignoring us. "Leave me alone Urameshi, nothings going to make me stop now!" Kuwabara shouted, and I sighed to myself, he just doesn't listen, does he?
Ending it here, I hope you liked it!

{Hn.}
*Nice to speak to you too, 'buddy', but I was thinking, maybe you could help Kuwabara if this fight becomes more than he can handle.*
{Why the hell would I do that?}
*Because...* I blinked in confusion, trying to think of something. *Uh...pass?*
{No.}
I shrugged slightly, I tried that's more than the others could say.
