~Story Start~
Yusuke and I stood absolutely livid, our eyes formed into a permanent glare as it stayed on Bakken's body. Punch after punch landed on Kurama's face and gut painfully, how Kurama never woke up from the beating made me wonder if he was really all right. But if this continued, he wouldn't, Bakken was going to kill Kurama seeing as how this was a 'fair' fight and Kurama was 'technically' fighting. My fists clenched tightly as anger coursed through my veins, watching as more powerful hits landed on Kurama's already beaten body. One more fucking punch and I was just about to jump into the ring and put my fist through his fucking face. Yusuke and everybody was the same way, or so I think, but I was probably right, even Hiei was had to be pissed off, I know those two are friends. But I let my mind wander away from Hiei, and I kept my gaze on the 'fight', Spirit Energy slowly rising in my palm.
“This wind would help us greatly.” The red diamond man said to Jin, a smirk in his voice.
Jin just shrugged, looking away.
I ignored them for the moment, and let out a gasp when I saw Bakken land another punch on Kurama's face, it echoing around the stadium. Pulling his fist back, Bakken slammed the back of his fist against Kurama's face one again, this time Kurama's shirt rip, making him slam to the ground hard. I heard Bakken chuckle darkly at Kurama, but I paid him no mind, my eyes watching as blood trickled down Kurama's face, staining the ring's ground quickly. He just laid there motionless, and more Spirit Energy began to rise. A movement out of my peripheral vision almost made me turn away, but I knew it was Koto. She looked absolutely disgusted, but not from Kurama's moves, and we all knew what was making her like that. We all felt the same way.
Running in front of Kurama, Koto shouted. “Stop! I'm all for extreme pain and torture, you disgusting horse, but this guy's not even awake to enjoy it! I'm taking a ten count!” Her tone was firm and angry, and I was little surprised by that, but I paid it no mind.
“Count yourself out then!” Bakken glared, smacking Koto away, making the Fox/Cat youkai bounce off the ring. “We're making the rules now, not you!” Turning his glare away from Koto, he walked forward, picking up Kurama by his shirt once again. “I won't risk enjoying myself any longer, I'll just break your face!” He shouted, pulling back his fist.
Yusuke's and my eyes widened when we saw how much force Bakken was actually going to put into that hit. If we didn't do something, that would really kill Kurama. My eyes darkened and a burst of Spirit Energy went into my hand, especially when I heard the shout of fear that came from Yusuke. Yusuke doesn't shout out in fear, it's just not natural, and that only made the purple orb grow stronger, electricity beginning to form and lick dangerously into the air. Yusuke brought up his hand, putting it in the gun gesture that he always did, his eyes set into a cold glare, as well as mine. One more millimeter and the guys fucking body will have exploded, not only because of Yusuke and I, but also because of Hiei, I could feel his Spirit Energy rise as well.
“Bakken, stop!” The red diamond man said suddenly.
Bakken's eyes widened for a split second, and his fist stopped dangerously close to hitting Kurama. Pulling his fist back, Bakken looked at the hooded man on the grass, confusion in his eyes. “But why Risho?” He asked, his eyebrows narrowing slightly.
“Lay him outside of the ring.” Risho said firmly.
Bakken glared harder, while I till held my orb, I didn't trust this guy. “But he's killed our set members!” Bakken shouted, a growl in his voice, his fist still clenched.
“Yes, and if you had landed that punch, you would have died as well.” Risho said calmly.
“What?!” Bakken shouted, turning, facing Yusuke and I as we held our hands up, ready to fire our Spirit Energies at him. Mine was almost filled with all of my Energy, this would definitely kill him if he even tries to think about hurting Kurama again, I guarantee it.
“Or do you think you would have survived a bullet to the back, or the impact with an orb filled with so much Spirit Energy? It's clear that Yusuke's team cares more about that youkai's live than this Tournament, their ready to fight every apparition in the stadium if they must. We need to win, not be involved in a revolt.” Risho said, an edge in his voice, but it stayed calm.
Bakken scoffed, looking at Risho with a glare. “You're getting soft Risho, you'll end up like Gama and Toya. If this prize is what we really want, then we shouldn't be making concessions.” Looking back at the two of us, Bakken's' eyes widened at the dark looks on our faces, we weren't kidding around, we didn't give a shit about Toguro or anybody else. “Fine, take your precious buddy!” He shouted, throwing Kurama out of the ring, Kurama's body hitting the ground hard.
My eyes widened, my Spirit Energy going back inside of me. “Kurama.” I gasped, running over to him, kneeling down next to his body, gingerly holding him up in a sitting position. He looked worse up close, he had so many cuts and bruises on him. My eyes darkened on Bakken, he hurt my friend, he's going to die.
“Well I think we can all agree Kurama will be staying outside the ring! Just change the blasted board already!” Koto shouted as she stood up once again, and the yellow board changed it's scores. We were tied.
Boos were heard from the crowd, but it was over powered by the cheers. Most of the youkai in the crowd were pissed that Kurama didn't die, but others were happy that Team Masho was catching up. I didn't give a shit about them though, I just sat next to Kurama, watching as Yusuke walked over to us. Kneeling down next to Kurama, his eyes narrowing slightly out of worry and out of anger, seeing the cuts and bruises as well. He clenched his teeth angrily, trying to keep his anger in, but I could tell he was scared that Kurama was a lot more hurt than he appeared. I was scared too, he had a fucking Dead Plant in his body, and we all saw what happened to Roto when he got it in his body, we didn't want that to happen to Kurama. It was unlikely that he would kill himself, but it still made us worry.
“You'll be ok.” Yusuke mumbled, worry in his tone.
I gave Kurama to Yusuke, and stood up when he did, carrying Kurama over to the side of the ring. I followed Yusuke, but my hearing let me pick up a voice I really didn't want to see. It was the voice of a certain red haired bimbo that held Hiei and The Masked Fighter in that damn magical appearing Medical Tent. I kept my face calm and blank on the outside and kept following, not wanting to let them hear me. What? I like to hear conversations that don't concern me, it's fun and it just shows how awesome I am at being sneaky. I wasn't the Red Eyed Ghost for nothing, now was I? I was the third most famous thief in Makai, just under some other guy I don't care about and Yoko Kurama, or Kurama if you want to be literal.
“You're friend got a lucky reprieve.” Ruka said, a dark chuckle in her voice.
“So did you, witch.” Hiei glared, and I gave a small smile when I heard his voice. “Or should I say, so did everyone else in this stadium.” He said, his tone cold.
“Yusuke and Kira weren't the only ones about to fire, so was Hiei, and their combined power would not have been contained in the ring.” The Masked Fighter explained, her exposed eye narrowed on Ruka's form. “Risho felt it, didn't you?” She asked.
Ruka smirked. “Hiei mounting an assault, why that's very funny. Have you forgotten you're trapped inside my force field?” She asked, chuckling again, please someone punch her...
“Drop the act Ruka, you've already realized you can't keep us in here for much longer. Our powers are returning, and yours will stay as meager as always.” The Masked Fighter stated calmly, ignoring the glare that Ruka shot her, while I held a smirk, but it dropped almost as quickly as it formed.
I stopped next to the ring wall, watching as Yusuke put the red haired kitsune against the ring wall. Turning away from them for a second, I glared at Bakken as he still stood in the ring, giving us a disgusted look. However, that went away when he saw my glare, and he smirked sadistically once again, apparently happy that he had gotten us so riled up. I was still too weak to fight, and that only made me pissed off. This guy didn't seem so tough now that I can feel his Spirit Energy, he was weaker than Toya so that was good. But thanks to my nervous breakdown earlier, I don't think I could do much. At least Yusuke will fight him, that would be good, just as long as his death is painful.
“I guess it's my turn, wish me luck.” Kuwabara said with a glare in his eyes, moving to get up from his sitting position. However, that little motion only made his already broken bones crack quite painfully, making him grunt in pain and fall back.
Botan winced, looking down at him. “I think bone cracking is a good sign to rest.” She said, frowning.
“Yes ma'am.” Kuwabara said weakly.
I would have laughed sightly at that the little scene behind me, but I was still glaring, or was until something moved out of my peripheral vision. Turning to my left I saw Yusuke stand up, an even colder glare was in his eyes, narrowed onto Bakken's form. I would have smirked, but I could tell that Yusuke was being serious, and I had to be too, or until after Bakken was dead. Looking at me for a split second, Yusuke turned back to Bakken, and I knew what was coming next. It was obvious, anyone could see it without hearing any words. Remember the saying, 'actions speak louder than words'? Yeah, that fits in this situation very well.
“Kira, watch Kurama, I'm going to take down this bastard.” Yusuke said, his tone serious as well.
I nodded. “Got it, and make it hurt badly.” I said back.
Yusuke only nodded as well, his glare only hardening when Bakken turned to him, seeing the glare that was trying to burn huge holes into his body. “Ooh, what a what a scary look. Am I suppose to be shivering in my boot straps now? Or should I just be running for my life?” Bakken asked sarcastically, making Yusuke and I glare harder, especially when he began to laugh.
“Why don't we let the fight answer that?” Yusuke bit back with a glare, but he slowly smirked.
The buzzer went off over head, and I watched as Yusuke jumped into the ring, walking towards the middle. Koto was already standing in the middle, and Bakken had been there from the start. Yusuke looked up, almost craning his neck to look at the tall man. It was yet another stare off between the two fighters, but I was enjoying the glares being directed at the bastard. If looks could kill, Bakken would have been six feet under before he could have even tried to hit Kurama when the match started. Too bad things don't work like that, it would have really saved us a lot of anger, especially when we had to waste it on such a scum bag like him. Speaking of the scum bag, he was gritting his teeth, glaring at Yusuke as well, but I believe I saw a bit of fear from before, but he was trying to cover it up. Ha, he's scared. Good.
“And the fourth match, Bakken vs Yusuke, you may begin.” Koto announced.
Yusuke walked closer towards Bakken, a smirk on his lips as well out of confidence, and I didn't think he was being cocky this time. I knew he would win, it was pretty obvious, there was no way that Yusuke would lose to an asshole like him. My glare dropped slightly when I saw Bakken bring his fist together as he pretty much flexed his muscles, letting out grunts as he kept doing the same thing. Beads of sweat began to appear on his body, drenching his whole body, to the point where some of his skin actually looked darker than it already was before. I scrunched my nose up, even if everyone sweats, it's still gross, especially if this guy does it so much he's practically dripping wet. The smell wasn't that nice either, not like it always smelt good anyway. Ew.
I narrowed my eyes slightly as I kept watching Bakken, despite the fact that this was getting too gross for me to even handle. Something was off about his sweat, I don't think he would purposely do that for the fun of it. *Something is definitely wrong here...* I mumbled in my mind.
{You noticed this now?} Hiei suddenly asked, a smirk in his mind's voice.
I rolled my eyes, but I had to admit, I did miss having our little personal battles in my head. As weird as that sounds... *Shut up Hiei, I was distracted by his sweating problem, but I'm kind of worried about Yusuke though.* I mumbled, getting a bad feeling in my stomach, but it wasn't big, something that made me relax slightly.
{Don't be too concerned Onna, the Detective will be fine.} Hiei said, annoyance was in his voice, which made me narrow my eyes in confusion. He always get so annoyed when I'm worried about the boys. Weird...
I nodded ever so slightly, but I knew he saw. *I'll take your word for it.* Again, his voice made my body relax completely, it was weird that it was Hiei doing that, I would have expect Kurama or someone else to do that, but they didn't. It was strange, and I resisted the urge to look over my shoulder at the fire youkai. Maybe my feelings for him aren't as small like I thought they were...
“Oh wow, Botan, do you sense that?” Kuwabara suddenly said, his voice was cautious, and hearing that brought me out of my thoughts. Something I was thankful for, and a bit annoyed as well.
Botan looked at him. “No, you'll have to fill me in.”
“There's some kind of strange power coming out of Bakken's sweat.” Kuwabara said, apparently not getting a good feeling about it as well, and I turned my attention back to the fight.
I scrunched up my nose. “That's just gross.” I mumbled to myself.
Botan made a noise that told me that she agreed completely, but she turned back towards the ring. She didn't miss much though, mostly because Bakken was still making that groaning noise and acting like he was fucking constipated. ...Ew. I kept that thought in though, even if it was rather hard, especially when our 'prince charming' began to soak the stones. A puddle of sweat formed and spread under Bakken's feet, and he was now actually dripping with sweat. I had to keep the gag from being heard, but I put my hand to my mouth, just encase because the smell was only getting worse.
“What's wrong, Bakken?” Yusuke sneered, his tone mocking. “We haven't even started yet and you've already got a nervous sweat. Do you give up?” He asked, eyes narrowed.
Bakken smirked. “You really are an idiot aren't you?”A laugh spilled out of his lips, and I narrowed my eyes, watching as he rose his hands above his head. Golden Spirit Energy formed around his body, almost like he was inside of a flame. “Mythical powers of Shinobi, White Mist!” He shouted.
We all tensed up slightly, watching as we all glared at the mother fucker who really deserved to die. I took a quick peak at Kurama's form, seeing him still passed out and slightly bleeding. With renewed anger flowing through my veins, I stared deathly calm, while Yusuke stood in front of Bakken, on guard. And before we all knew what happened, we saw white mist coming from Bakken's sweat. Streams of smoke flowed from his drenched body and up into the air. Seconds passed while I covered my nose, already almost gagging by the smell. Fog of sweaty mist filled the air, making it almost impossible to see. Afraid to move and holding my nose in both my hands, I squinted as I tried to find Yusuke once again.
“Where'd he go?” I heard Yusuke mumble.
Kuwabara's eyes narrowed as he tried to pear through the mist to find Bakken's figure. “He must be using the mist to hide himself.” He stated, his eyes staying forward.
“Well Yusuke won in the dark before, right?” Botan asked, eyes forward as well.
I groaned, that disgusting feeling in my throat again, you now that feeling when it seems like you have something pressing against the inside of your throat? Yeah, I got that. “Why the fuck is this some kind of Shinobi power?! These Shinobi dudes must be getting very...desperate.” I paused, almost gagging again as I tried to breath in some fresh, CLEAN air, but only got a mouth and nose full of sweat.
“Pure insanity, the rings been devoured by a giant layer of mist. Urameshi had absolutely no idea where Bakken's first attack will come from. In fact neither do I, I can't even see my microphone in front of me.” Koto announced, completely calm, although I was finding it hard to see where she was.
Yusuke looked around, brown eyes scanning across the white mist that hung heavily in front of his eyes. His ears then picked up the sound of whistling, but he had no idea where the hell it was even coming from. “I guess I'll wait for something.” He mumbled to himself, still hearing the whistling. However, when he felt a rush of wind and the whistling growing louder in his ears, he turned. His eyes widened when he saw a spiraling cloud of sweat/mist flying towards him, almost like a small cyclone by the top of it. “Like that for example!” He shouted, jumping to his left, just as the cyclone flew passed him.
Bakken let a smirk fall on his lips as he suddenly appeared out of the white blanket, above Yusuke's unaware form that was still in the air. Pulling back his fist, he let it slam hard against Yusuke's cheek, just as the young Spirit Detective sensed him. Letting out a grunt, Yusuke slammed against the ground, his chin bouncing off the tile as he lid. Cracks of the stone filled the air as they ripped off the ground from the force that he was going at. However, Yusuke made no noise of pain or discomfort at all as he slid, and he remained silent as he came to a stop, smoke lifting off the ground from the sudden attack. I grew worried, having only heard it, but I let out a relieved sigh when I heard two familiar sounding feet get to the ground and a small chuckle fill the air.
Bakken scoffed from the mist. “You didn't see that coming at all! Try again!” He shouted.
Another spiraling sweat/mist came, heading straight for Yusuke. Jumping out of the way like he did before, however Bakken didn't come out as quickly. As he jumped away from the spiral, he heard the sudden change in it's direction, and he looked back, only to get punched in the face once more by Bakken who finally came out of hiding. Even if I couldn't see what was happening, I knew that Bakken was just being a complete coward by hiding in his mist. He probably knows that Yusuke can beat the shit out of him if Yusuke could find him. Pulling out of my thoughts, I heard a grunt come from Yusuke and the sound of a body hitting the ring floor. My eyes narrowed in worry, stupid mist, how the hell is Yusuke going to fight in this shit?
“Heh, yes that one hurt a little more didn't it? You couldn't even manage a block.” Bakken mocked from the mist, while I gritted my teeth out of anger, come on Yusuke kill him!
Yusuke got to his feet, and a smirk fell on his lips. A chuckle was soon heard, and my eyes narrowed on the form that I think was Yusuke's. However, I smirked as well, if Yusuke was chuckling then that meant that this was going to be an easy win after he somehow gets the mist out of the way. But the smirk fell when I heard Bakken let out a noise and the sound of a punch hitting someone. My bet it was Yusuke, and I heard the sound of sliding against the ring floor. Yusuke was still standing, but in a crouched position as his arms were raced in front of his face. From the force of the punch, it wasn't enough to send him off his feet, but it did send him a good few feet across the ring.
“It doesn't make any difference that you saved Kurama, new person same result. Your team is just one big punching bag for me!” Bakken shouted, laughing darkly, and I could just picture that fucking sadistic smirk on his lips. However, I could tell it wiped off when Yusuke's chuckle was heard once again. “What's so funny? Have I knocked you witless?” He asked, slow anger rising in his voice.
Yusuke smirked at the fog in front of him. “I'm laughing because I'm relieved. You had me worried when you were punching Kurama, but now that I know how soft your fists are, I feel a lot better.” The smirk wiped off into a serious gaze, and Bakken could only glare in annoyance. “Now I see why you were scared when Jin touched you before.” He said, a mocking tone in his voice now, and I smirked.
“I was not.” Bakken denied, glaring.
“Oh come on, your whole robe was shaking, I mean I don't blame you this stupid sweat fog is your only trick. I bet Jin could knock it away with one little gust of wind.” Yusuke said mockingly as his smirk reappeared, another chuckle passing through his lips.
“You better shut your trap!” Bakken glared angrily as he ran forward, but a forced smirk was on his face. “You're not a Wind Master, are you? So you're getting ready to die!” Jumping into the air once again, Bakken aimed another punch at Yusuke's still form. “We'll see how soft my punches are!” He shouted, going down towards the young Spirit Detective.
Out of the fog I saw a blue light begin to form, and Yusuke's Spirit Energy rose as the light got brighter. A smile was now on my lips, and my fist clenched out of anticipation. I wasn't sure what Yusuke was going to do, but all I know is that Bakken is going to get his ass kicked, or better yet, he's going to die! Smiling, or at least trying to, down at Kurama's form, I wished he was only awake to see what Yusuke was going to do to the asshole who tried to kill him. Knocking out of my thoughts, I heard a laugh echo around the ring and I turned back, knowing that was Yusuke's. Hearing that confident smirk made my smile widen once again. Take that you damn bastard :D!
“Spirit Gun.”
Yusuke lifted his hand, it in that same gun position as always, he and shot it off towards the stadium. The huge ball of blue light flew through the air, and from what I could tell no where near Bakken. Although I kept the shouts of anger inside, although an irk mark was on my temple. I swear, if this was another thing like Chu's fight where he just wasted his Spirit Gun, I was going to go in there and smack the damn kid upside the head.
“Ha! You just shot in completely the wrong direction!” Bakken shouted, yep I was going to smack him.
Before I could even think about what I was going to do to him, I heard a sudden crash and my hands instantly covered my head. I looked over to the sound of the noise and saw a dark cloud of gray debris from what I think was the stadium wall that blocked the ring from the crowd. Dropping my hands, I blinked confused, seeing it shadow over Yusuke and Bakken before I couldn't see them anymore. Did Yusuke just make more fog go into the stadium? But I stopped my annoyed thoughts when I felt wind rush all around me as the sudden blast made all of the mist move. Covering my nose again, I kept from gagging, and I could tell the crowd was as well, seeing as how there were shouts of disgust filling the arena. Wow, something we can agree on.
“I don't understand what just happened.” Bakken said with a groan, lifting himself to his knees. The blast from Yusuke's attack had knocked him out of the air, and now he was seeing the mist move around the stadium rapidly, but he was fine with the smell. But the confused look turned to panic when he saw the mist clearing. “All my mist, it's disappearing!” He shouted, eyes wide.
“Good!” I shouted with a glare, ignoring his.
Koto stepped forward, eyes wide as well. “A brilliant strategy by Yusuke, he's used the force of his Spirit Gun blast to blow the mist right out of the stadium!” She announced.
“Damn that boy,” Bakken growled as he looked around, and a nervous look was beginning to form on his face when he didn't see the black haired 14-15 year old. “Where did he go?” He mumbled to himself.
“Let me explain what's about to happen.” Yusuke's voice suddenly said, and all eyes went to him as he appeared behind Bakken. His fist was clenched and a smirk was on his face, and I smiled at him, the glare now out of my eyes. “You basically have two real options here, you can either turn around and have me beat the crap out of you, or you can get on your hands and knees and start begging. And maybe, just maybe, I'll listen.” He said seriously, eyes narrowed, while Bakken had a bead of sweat roll down his temple. Scared.
I rolled my eyes, and shouted. “Don't give him that option, beat the shit out of him!”
Bakken glared at me for a second, while I only flipped him off with a bored look on my face. Clenching his teeth angrily, Bakken swallowed the lump in his throat and his hand formed into a fist. As he turned to Yusuke, he rose his fist and shouted. “You dirty little son of a bi-aah!”
Already seeing what Bakken was going to pull, Yusuke had already pulled his fist back. Seeing Bakken's stomach become vulnerable, he let his fist swing, landing painfully into his stomach. The sound of multiple ribs breaking echoed around the stadium, and I didn't flinch, I just smirked. A strangled noise came out of Bakken's open mouth, while Yusuke only smirked up at him as he pulled his fist back out of Bakken's gut. Taking a few steps, a small amount of bile fell from Bakken's lips and I grimaced slightly, watching as he held his stomach and fell to the ground. More strangled noises of pain fell from his lips as he hunched over, and I smirked again.
“I think it's clear what that huddled over pose means, I only wish everyone in the audience could have heard those cracking bones!” Koto said, a smile on her lips.
Yusuke lowered his clenched fist, and walked forward, a glare in his eyes. “Damn I missed a few, you know those lower ribs are harder to reach.” He said, his tone now filled with anger, his little mocking attitude now gone and replaced with seriousness.
“Stay away!” Bakken shouted, fear filling his eyes as Yusuke appeared in front of him, and he held up his hand as if that would keep him at bay. “P-Please, I think I must have punctured something! Just have some mercy on me!” He shouted, a scared frown on his lips as blood spilled from them. I almost formed my Lightning Orb and sent it at his ass right then and there. He gets no mercy.
Yusuke's eyes narrowed. “Right mercy, like the way you kept beating Kurama when he was laid out on the floor.”
“No, i-it wasn’t like that!” Bakken shouted, scared.
I glared heatedly, oh now he's going to say that he didn't mean it?! Fuck that shit! “Yusuke, kill the bastard, he's just trying to make you feel bad so you'll let him live. He's cruel and heartless, and you know damn well he knew what he was doing.” I said in a deathly cold voice, my piercing gaze on Bakken's voice.
“I-I wasn’t cruel to him, I was just excited!” Bakken shook his head fiercely, eyes still wide with fear. “It was in the heat of battle, I don't even remember what I did to him! I promise, I don't even remember, and whatever I did, I didn't mean it!” He was now in front of Yusuke, making the boy step back slightly. Seeing Yusuke's still glaring and unfeeling eyes on him, 'tears' fell down his cheeks as he looked at the ground. “I'm so sorry!” He shouted, his voice cracking.
Yusuke and I both blinked confused and slightly startled. “Hey, calm down, buddy. You're embarrassing me here.” Yusuke said, a very uncomfortable look on his face. This hasn't really happened to him before...
I was in the same boat as Yusuke, sure this guy was a piece of trash and deserved to die, but come on, die with some dignity here! I mean look at Toya, he could have been balling his eyes out when he was close to death but he didn't and he even asked for it! Bakken needs to grow some balls here, because he was still crying and even I was embarrassed to even be watching this. His shoulders were shaking, and smalls sobs were escaping his lips. I began to roll my eyes, but I stopped when I saw something out of my peripheral vision. My sights were on Bakken's face as he slowly looked up, and my eyes widened as I saw a sadistic smirk appeared on his lips. I wanted to smack myself in the head for even actually thinking that Bakken wouldn't pull something like this, the guys a fucking scum bag!
“Yusuke look out!” I shouted worriedly.
Yusuke looked confused, but before he could grasp what I tried to say, it was too late. Bakken's hand instantly grabbed a huge piece of the stadium wall that happened to lay a few inches from his hand. With Yusuke being so close, Bakken only needed to extend his hand a mere inches to slam the rock on the Spirit Detectives head. Hard. Yusuke's eyes widened and when the rock slammed down on his head, his eye widened and he let out a slightly dazed sound. His tongue was sticking out, and I let out a sigh of relieve, at least he didn't bite down on his tongue, now that would be bad. However, I couldn't help but flinch when I saw the rock break into tiny pieces, that had to have hurt a bit. But Yusuke was still standing, and he stood up straighter, a smirk suddenly appearing on his face, making Bakken stare wide eyed and fall back slightly out of shock.
I threw a glare over at Bakken's scared form. *I told him to kill the bastard but no one listens to me.* I thought with a huff, crossing my arms over my chest as an irk mark pulsed.
Yusuke looked off to the side, the smirk still there. “Cheer up Bakken, your brains just small. It's not your fault you can't remember all those things you did to Kurama.” His smirk suddenly dropped, and he turned to Bakken with a fierce glare in his eyes. “So I'm going to refresh your memory by using your body as an example!
“Hell yeah, beat the shit out of him, Yusuke!” I shouted with a smile.
“See you first jumped in and grabbed him a little like this!” Yusuke grabbed Bakken's red belt, preventing the taller man from running, and threw him over his shoulder, into the air. “And then-!” He shouted out angrily.
Yusuke pulled back his fist, sending four or five blows into Bakken's body. One on his chest, his pelvis, his leg, his face, his head and his side. I could hear all the bones break into nothing but dust, and I couldn't help but wince slightly at the sound of them, but I continued to smile. And with one last punch to the face, Bakken went soaring into the air and out of the ring. Watching the taller man's body fly, he smashed through the wall that was next to Jin, who didn't even move a muscle, a smile on his lips. The smoke from the crash erupted into the air, and rocks flew out of the gray smoke. When it cleared, we all saw Bakken's broken and dead body laying on the rubble with rocks laying on it. Blood was gushing out his nose, or was I should say.
“Out of the ring!” Koto shouted, smiling. “Naturally I'll take a ten count! 1!...2!...3!...4!...5!...6!...7!...8!...9!...”
Jin, who was settled next to the wall, smirked up at Yusuke. “That's a pretty good fight.” He complimented, although to himself, but I heard it. I smiled at him, at least one of the members of his team knew that Bakken was a bastard.
“10! And the winner is Urameshi!” Koto said with a smile, but it dropped when she saw Yusuke walking away.
Yusuke was walking towards us, his eyes still narrowed into a serious gaze. I did as well, and I looked down at Kurama's still passed out form. I was still worried, I know that he had a Death Plant in him and all that, but I was at least hoping that he would be able to wake up. I stepped back as Yusuke jumped onto the grass, a foot beside me. I, however, stayed standing as Yusuke got to his right knee and got next to Kurama's form. I was looking at him, seeing the same serious look on his face, that was only making me worried. Damn it me, you know Kurama is alive, stop being a little baby!
“How ya doin'?” Yusuke suddenly asked.
I was about to ask who he was talking to, but I jumped when I heard a familiar voice speak up. “I'll survive.” Kurama said, opening his eye with a small smile.
“Holy shit!” I squeaked, making both boys sweat drop at me. “When did you wake up?” I asked, eyes wide.
Kurama chuckled sightly, although that made him wince slightly, and I was about to apologize. Look what I do! “Not too long ago actually, you were too excited to notice though.” He said, still smiling, while I sweat dropped at that. I'm so stupid, aren't I? ...Yep, thought so.
“I'm an idiot.” I mumbled, with anime tears flowing down my cheeks.
Yusuke laughed slightly. “Yeah, but that's why we like you, you make things...interesting.” He had paused for a second to find the right word, and I was just staring at him, not sure what to think of that.
“Kurama, should I hit him?” I asked, giving Yusuke a look, making him grow wide eyed.
Kurama shook his head, sweat dropping. “No, it was a compliment...for the most part anyway.” He mumbled the last part to himself, and I didn't pick it up, still staring at Yusuke with a murderous intent. I know he's mocking me... However, I broke out of that when I saw Kurama turn to Yusuke, a somewhat apologetic look in his eyes. “Sorry, I couldn't finish three of them, as I planned.” He said sincerely. Aw...
Yusuke turned to him and shook his head as he chuckled. “Shut up, how are the wounds?” He asked.
“My injuries from Team Masho are nothing compared to this Death Plant.” Kurama looked down at the plant growing out of his arm, Yusuke and I doing the same. “It will take a great deal of Energy and concentration to remove. I suppose we really do reap what we sow, right?” He asked, making a slight joke.
“Listen, just get some rest, ok? These last two guys are going to be fish meat pretty soon ” Yusuke said seriously.
Kurama's smile dropped and he got serious as well. “Be cautious with them Yusuke, what ever plans the Shinobi have for this island, they want it very badly. These last two members are without a doubt the strongest.” He warned, and that made me frown, great.
Yusuke only gave him a slight smirk. “Got it.”
Kurama and I watched as Yusuke jumped into the ring, and hear the sound of the crowd erupting into cheers once again. From what I could guess, they were excited to see yet another fight that would probably end up in the death of someone. I resisted the urge to tell them to shut up, and watched as Yusuke and Jin walked towards the center of the ring. I frowned slightly as that, Jin was cool, I don't want him to die. Maybe Yusuke could knock him out...
“Lucky eyes ya got.” Jin smirked at Yusuke, but that dropped thanks to all the shouting from the crowd. Looking off to the side, Jin glared. “Dammit I can't believe the ruckus their washing up, you can't even make a thought! Of course I wouldn’t mind if it weren't for the ears.” Jin turned to Yusuke, pointing at his ears, and I saw them almost looking like elf ears, but they weren't like that before. “See, they're all pointy up and wigglin' unlike they were before. Get that way when I'm happy or excited and I haven't been either in a very long time. But saw Biggy flying up all the way high and passed, almost lost it!” He said with an excited smile,
*This guy talks a mile a minute.* I couldn't help but think, and the look on Yusuke's face told me he didn't really understand what the hell Jin was saying either. I was surprised that I even got the gist of what he was saying, it's really hard to keep up with him.
A familiar feeling came inside my head, and I waited. {Hn, he's annoying, the Detective better finish this match quickly.} Hiei thought, annoyed.
*Aw, but Jin's adorable, I don't want Yusuke to hurt him.* I thought with a small pout.
Hiei rolled his eyes. {You're an idiot, Onna.} He thought with a sigh.
I smiled widely. *And damn proud of it!*
A few feet away from me and inside the Medical Tent, a certain fire youkai was contemplating if he should walk into the force field or not. One side was already leaning towards the force field, and seeing the look on my face only made him start to consider it. (A/N: Aww =3)
Jin saw the look that was on Yusuke's face, and he moved closer to the Spirit Detective, breaking Hiei and I out of our own thoughts. “What didn't ya hear me? I'm talking about the way you knocked away Bakken's fog and then took him for a first class ride on your fist. Ya know, I never did like that guy, the wind around his pours were pretty stink. Actually, I'm kind of glad you waxed him.” Jin's eyes widened for a second before he put his mouth to Yusuke's ear. “Oh, don't tell Risho I told you that.” He said before breaking into laughter, Yusuke doing the same.
“Why is he laughing with the bad guy?” Kuwabara asked blankly.
I turned to Kuwabara, smiling happily down at the red haired ningen. “Because Jin's awesome, that's why.” But my smile dropped when I heard a grunt of pain come from the Medical Tent, and I saw electricity crackling around Hiei, while the Masked Fighter stared at him blankly. “Are you ok, Hiei?” I called, sweat dropping slightly.
“Shut up, Onna.” Hiei growled, an irk mark on his temple.
Sticking my tongue out at him childishly, I turned back to Yusuke and Jin. They were still laughing, while Koto was staring at them like they had gone crazy, but I ignored her and turned to Yusuke. “You're a crazy bastard, you know that? You went and got me all in a good mood and I was about to use my anger at Bakken to pound you into the ground.” Yusuke said, smirking at the red head.
“Nah, don't lump me in with Biggy, he was just a jerk. Goin' in bearin' a grudge is no way to start a fight, so it says, you never have any cheerin' up that way. Just got to go fight to find the strongest guy is all.” Jin said before smiling widely.
Before any of us could get prepared, Jin's Spirit Energy rose, and the wind began to pick up. Debris that fell from Yusuke's attack early began to pick up, flying around the ring at a high speed. Yusuke took a step back, putting his arms close to his face to keep the small pebbles from hitting him. From the wind his clothes rustled heavily, as did his hair. I was holding my hair down, quickly growing annoyed by my hair flipping around into a mess. I took a few steps back, hoping that would make the wind less strong, but things just love to piss me off. Even if Jin is cool, I really, really hate his technique. If only I had a hood to put over my head...
“I guess you weren't kidding about the 'Wind Master' thing, huh?” Yusuke asked sarcastically.
Jin didn't answer, all he did was smirk as he lifted off the ground, making me stare wide eyed. Awesome! “Wow, hold onto your hair people, Jin is unleashing his power! He's floating several inches off the ring floor, supported by his terrific wind! And I haven't even started this match yet!” Koto announced over the wind.
“Here we go Jin, I can't say my ears are pointing up, but I'm looking forward to this challenge.” Yusuke said with a smirk on his lips as well.
Jin smiled widely once again. “That's the spirit, lets have some fun then!”
“If I lose my whole teams screwed, if I win I have to fight again.” Yusuke mumbled to himself, while I frowned slightly. It was all thanks to me being an idiot that we're in such a tight spot... But I stopped my negative thoughts when Yusuke suddenly smirked. “Yeah, that sounds like fun!” He shouted, smirking wider, making me sweat drop.
Koto now stood in the wide circle of wind, a few feet away from the two fighters that stood staring at each other with their own excited looks. “Match four, Yusuke vs Jin, let her rip!” She shouted as the buzzer went off.
Not even a second after she said that did Yusuke get into a fighting position. Putting up his right fist, Yusuke kicked off the ground and raced off towards the smiling red head. Only a mere few inches in front of Jin did Yusuke let his fist fly, but he let it go too late, his fist missing the red head as he soared off into the sky. Almost losing his footing, Yusuke looked up after Jin as he continued to race upwards. My eyes were wide, no youkai is able to fly at all because our -or most of our- bodies are similar to that of a ningens. But now I was seeing one that could technically do it. A wide smile broke out on my lips as I watched Jin go higher and higher. This match is going to be so awesome, despite how everything was going to be decided on this match, I wasn't sure who I wanted to win. I think I wanted both, too bad that can't happen. Oh well, go Yusuke and Jin! :D
“Oh wow!” Koto gaped. “Jin easily dodged Yusuke's attack by shooting straight up into the air, but he doesn’t seem to be stopping.” She announced, slightly confused. She was right, Jin's body kept getting smaller and smaller until I could see only a small dot of red and white.
“Kira.” Kurama's voice suddenly spoke.
I broke out of my conflicting and cheering thoughts, looking down at the wounded kitsune to my left. “You all right?” I asked, concern coating my words as I knelt down next to him.
“Yes I'm fine.” Kurama gave me a weak smile. “Can you help me up?” He asked.
I rose an eyebrow at him, looking at the wounds that were all over his body. Not to mention the Death Plant that was sticking out of his fucking arm. “Are you sure you want to get up? I think you should rest for a little bit.” I said, staring at him as if he were crazy.
Kurama shook his head lightly. “Don't worry I'll be all right, I want to watch the fight, but I doubt I'll get far.” He said with another small smile.
I sighed but nodded, letting him lean on me as he got to his feet, albeit slowly. Walking to the other side of the stadium, I made sure to keep clear of his wounds. Believe me I would feel so bad if I somehow made him hurt worse than he already was. Knowing my luck and knowing the people up there, they will somehow make that happen even if it is completely stupid. I hate those people with a burning passion that could make Hell feel cold... Anyway, reaching the wall that divided the crowd from the ring, I helped him sit against the wall as gently as I could before sitting down next to him. I didn't want to leave the poor guy to sit by himself, that would be mean!
“Don't worry people I can just barely see him, he's the size of a tiny nat!” Koto suddenly said, calming the crowd that began to boo at the lack of action, and that made me look at the ring once again.
“Hey, come on!” Yusuke shouted loudly, looking up. “You've got a fight to lose!”
From all the way up above the island we all barely heard Jin's voice shout back. “Sorry Urameshi, but I'm getting my prize!” His voice sounded determined, and I knew that this fight was going to be like the one with Chu vs Yusuke, its going to be hard to see who will win.
We all watched in a hush as we saw Jin begin to fly back down towards the ring, but with a sudden dark cloud and the blinding light from the sun, we lost sight of him. My eyes narrowed as I tried to scan across the sky to see any shade of red, but I was having a hard time. But my eyes rested on a small form, just in front of the sun, making me wince slightly and looking away. That was a good strategical move on Jin's part, I'll give him that, it hurt but it was good.
"H-Hold on, where'd he go?!” Koto scanned the sky as well, but her eyes widened slightly. “Wait! He's using the sun behind him as a blinder, he's coming down fast!” She shouted.
Yusuke stared at Jin's approaching form with narrowed and serious eyes. “Lets do this.” He mumbled.
Before we all could even blink, Jin was now only a few feet above the stadium, and heading towards Yusuke with his arms spread outwards at his sides. I tensed up at how fast he was going, and from the look that was on Yusuke's face. Even he knew that Jin was fast, and even if I was rooting for the both of them, I didn't want Yusuke hurt. Watching as Jin neared Yusuke by only a few inches, I sighed in relief when Yusuke dodged him as he flew by, landing on his side. Jin, however, didn't seem to worry about that and kept flying around, now above the crowd. He was going in a complete circle and the wind was picking up again, making me hold my hair down once again. I hate my fucking hair! -_-**
I grabbed my hair, as if it was in a pony-tail. *I really hate the win sometimes.* I growled in my head.
{Your complaining about a little wind?} Hiei asked, his tone blank.
I threw a look to my right, seeing the familiar black haired fire youkai. *Oh shut up, you can't give me shit about anything. I wasn't the one who walked into a force field and got myself electrocuted like a dumb ass.* I shot back with an irk mark.
{Watch what you say, Onna.} Hiei warned, glaring.
*And what are you going to do if I don't? Huh?* I was smirking cockily, feeling Hiei's glare fall on me, but I didn't care it's not like he could do anything to me while in there. *You're in a force field and I'm out here~!* I thought in a sing-song tone.
{Baka.} Hiei sighed exasperatedly.
I smiled again, missing these arguments. *Still proud of it, Otoko.* I said back, easily.
“Hold on a second, Jin is deliberately avoiding hitting Yusuke, what could be going through the Wind Master's head?” Koto asked, watching Jin's form fly around the stadium, eyes wide, breaking me out of the argument, or lack there of I should say.
Yusuke's eyes narrowed, doing the same as Koto. “Damn he's fast!” He growled to himself, turning around as he watched Jin do another full circle. His fists were clenched at his sides, a look of frustration now on his face as he watched the Wind Master before backing away, almost getting hit by the red head once again. From the look on Yusuke's face, he wasn't finding this to be fun anymore. “What's he doing?” He asked, looking from side to side, trying to find Jin, having disappeared.
“Nothing to be in a fuss for, Urameshi,” Jin smirked as he raced around the ring, almost touching the ground. “A mans got to be in the right spirit before he fights, don't ya think it so?” He asked, rising into the air once again, heading towards Yusuke once again.
“You know, one of these days I'm going to fight someone who talks like a normal person!” Yusuke shouted annoyed, and I couldn't help but laugh slightly, thinking of Chu.
Jin was racing towards him, head on, and from the looks of it, he didn't look like he was going to be able to block anything. Narrowing his eyes, Yusuke turned his body, sending a kick towards the red haired youkai's face, and I couldn't help but let out a smirk. But that dropped when I saw Jin duck under Yusuke's leg, and as Yusuke was off balance, sent a good left hook into Yusuke's jaw. Cringing at the sound that resonated off the stadium walls, I watched Yusuke fly backwards, through the air. Nearing the end of the ring Yusuke's body finally hit the ring, bouncing every few feet or so before he landed on his stomach, coming to a full stop. A few seconds passed, and I was afraid that Yusuke wasn't going to get up, that punch looked like it hurt. But I stopped those thoughts when Yusuke got to his right knee, looking at Jin. Looking at his jaw, I saw two lines of blood fell from his lips, and I was right about that punch hurting. Not even Bakken's punch could do that.
“Ok, heard that loud and clear.” Yusuke wiped away the blood that fell form his lips. “Keep punching like that and we'll enjoy this.” He said with a smirk, having Jin return it.
Ending it here! I'm not sure how I feel about this one, I'm just in a weird mood and sometimes the way I write reflects that, I just hope it wasn't terrible. Anyway, Team Masho's time in the lime-light is going to be over with in two chapters I believe and then I think the new stadium is going to open up, and I can't wait for that, the fights that happen in there are going to be so fun! :D Excited, anyway I hope you liked this and see you guys next time! Bye!

Bye!
