~*~*~*Story Start*~*~*~
It was deathly silent, for once and I couldn't more happier about that. My eyes were shimmering with happiness and anticipation, waiting for the smoke to clear so I could see the man I looked up to in the flesh. I was bouncing on my heels, and I could tell that Kuwabara and Hiei were staring at me out of their peripheral vision, but said nothing. I had to keep the squeals of excitement in my throat and I had to keep Hiei out of my mind or he would probably be rendered unconscious. I didn't want him to see the 'fan-girl' side of myself, especially when it's towards Kurama. However, at least I'm not like the other fan-girls that were around Yoko when he was the Legendary Thief, I only fan-girl over him because what he did was just amazing not for his looks. ...Although I do admit that he is very good looking, from what I heard anyway.
“Yes, the ring is shrouded in fog, and with Juri M.I.A. Who knows what fantastic action is happening within those cloudy walls.” Koto spoke up seriously, her eyes narrowed on the Force Field.
Again, I was bouncing around. *Come on, I wanna see him!* I shouted slightly annoyed, but I smiled anyway.
“Onna,” Hiei glared at me annoyed, staring at me as I continued to bounce around happily. “Would you stop moving so much? It' annoying.” He said, his tone matching his expression perfectly, but I paid him no mind. I actually didn't hear him, and that made Hiei narrowed his eyes even more.
“What's she doin'?” Kuwabara asked the fire youkai, raising an eyebrow.
Hiei turned away from me, his narrowed gaze locked back on the Force Field once again. “She's doing the same thing she always does, she's being an idiot.” He said monotonously, making Kuwabara sweat drop.
Ura, however, wasn't so excited to see the Legendary kitsune before him, the tears pooling in his eyes. He laid on the ground, his body shaking, preventing him from moving a muscle. He couldn't believe it, he didn't want to believe that he was being faced with the most notorious figure in all of the three worlds. He couldn't hold his own against the kitsune, he would have to think himself insane if he ever, for a second, thought something like that. As the second passed he hoped it was a dream, but with Yoko still standing there, in front of him, his hopes for it being a dream were crushed into nothing.
“A...nightmare...” Ura whimpered to himself, and I couldn't help but smirk.
Taking a step forward out of intimidation, Yoko watched Ura scramble to his feet with a smirk. “There's no room for your fantasies of denial, little vermin. Be assured, I am alive.” He said lowly, his voice sending shivers down my spine, my guard this is my dream come true :D.
Ura let out a scream. “But the stories all say you're dead, you were caught! You were killed!” He shouted.
“Yes, I'm so flattered you've heard of me, but as you see the stories were incorrect.” Yoko said, however it was obvious by his tone that he could care less about what Ura had to say. We even think the same way!
Too bad my reverie was interrupted just as fast as it began. Black electricity sparked, making Kuwabara and I backed up slightly from the Force Field, his power still being too much for me. I knew Yoko was strong, but I never imagined that he would be strong enough to almost paralyze me. But despite that, I couldn't help but me more excited, with Yoko on our side then that means that he can help us defeat Toguro and his fucking lackeys! Just the thought of Yoko being on our side was too much for me, I swear when I see him I am so going to glomp the shit out of him! He doesn't know how long I've waited for a chance to somehow see him, I wouldn't have cared if I had to be sent to Hell just to see him. ...Geez I am just as bad as some of those fan-girls, aren't I? Now that I think about it, I feel really bad for Kurama, I hope this doesn’t weird him out...
Moving further away, Kuwabara stared at the Force Field with Narrowed eyes. “It's like a thunder storm in there! Where's all that weird Energy I'm feeling coming from?!” He asked worriedly, his fist balling into fists out of worry for the red haired kitsune.
“It's all Kurama, down to the last drop.” Hiei said with a smirk.
The familiar 'fan-girl' feeling came again.“Wow, that's amazing.” I said quickly, not wanting to squeal.
The narrowed look in Kuwabara's eyes still stayed, now confused. “But it's different somehow, and a heck of a lot more powerful.” He stated cautiously, still worried about the 'fifteen year old'.
“Seems that fool he's been fighting has turned him back into his youkai form, before he was tainted by you ningens.” Hiei smirked widely, causing the both of us to turn to him. “Fifteen years ago, the Spirit Kitsune, Yoko Kurama was thought to have been killed while escaping from a botched burglary. In desperation, he hid himself in your world, using a ningen body to slowly recover his Energy. He thought no one would find him, I did.” He said almost proudly.
“How did you do that?” I asked, fully acknowledging him for the first time in this chapter.
“It was months before we were placed on the Detective's team.” Hiei started. “I came to Kurama to help me and one other youkai steal three artifacts from Reikai. I knew that he would need the Forlorn Hope to save his dying mother, so it didn't take a lot to convince him.” Done with his little explanation, Hiei returned his gaze back to the ring. “Now we'll see what the purest form of Kurama can do.” He said, smirking wider.
I got an annoyed look, crossing my arms. “Well if this fucking Force Field would get the hell out of the way we could, but noo, we just see smoke.” I said annoyed, I want to see him not smoke dammit!
Not caring if Hiei or Kuwabara would say anything, I turned my full attention back to the fight, or well I just made my ears focus on it anyway... Inside the Force Field, Ura felt the strong presence now only a few inches away, and his body reacted on instinct. Letting out a almost silent whimper, Ura turned around, only to back up once again, his eyes widening when he saw the Legendary Bandit staring down at him with piercing gold eyes. Stumbling over his feet, Ura fell the ground shaking, but managed to stay sitting up. However, that was all he could do, it was as if his body was completely paralyzed.
“Lets see, how best shall I deal with my pray?” Yoko asked, a smirk forming on his lips.
Koto narrowed her eyes, trying to see through the smoke. “I'm barely making out two silhouettes in the center of the ring, which I can only assume are the combatants. But the voice I just picked up with my ears doesn't quite sound like either of them. What in the world is going on, has another fighter entered the ring now? And what about Juri, she's still not reporting. Has she been a casualty in this shrouded fight? Will I be forced to replace her in the ring?” She asked constantly, and I was beginning to grow annoyed again. That whole paragraph could have been reduced to a sentence if I had the power, unlike someone...
“Wait, I'm hewe!” A slightly familiar voice spoke up, sounding like a child. “Is it nap time yet, Mamma?”
Koto's eyes widened. “Ok, people this is ridiculous! In addition to a new fighter, there seems to be a small child in the ring, too!” She said in surprise.
“Dammit, I want to see!” I shouted angrily, making the boys sweat drop.
Yoko and Ura didn't seem to notice the noise from outside, especially when Yoko was 'hunting' his pray. The smirk was now gone and his face was emotionless, and that caused Ura to panic even more. Watching as Yoko pulled out a seed from his hair, Ura whimpered when he saw it glow brightly before red roots began to form thickly around Yoko's wrist before spreading out. The large plant covered the closed in area, the plant 'face' was covered in sharp teeth that dripped acidic saliva. It's sights were set on Ura, and upon seeing the plant, Ura let out a shout of fear, his eyes wide. However, not only for the one face, but the for the multiple ones that began to form out of the roots, slowly inching their way towards his shaking form.
“Each branch of this tree has a mouth, and each mouth of the branch has saliva that will melt your bones in under a minute. Though the pain will make every second seem like its an eternity to you.” Ura let out a scream once again, but that didn't faze Yoko. “I never take anything in battle personally you realize, its only that I do not stand for trespassers, and that my Death Tree enjoys a good meal.” He finished emotionlessly.
Ura screamed, getting the ability in his legs to move backwards only a few feet. “Please help me! Please help me! Please help me!” Ura fell to his knees shakily, breathing heavily. “I'll do anything you ask me to, I'll fight your team, don't melt me!” He shouted, bowing lowly to the ground, tears in his eyes.
“Tell me the secret of the Idunn Box.” Yoko demanded coldly.
Ura looked up from the ground, poking his fingers together nervously. “Well...I don't know about that.” He said slowly, but all of us could tell that was a lie, and I smirked, Yoko wasn't going to like that.
I was right -despite not seeing him-, Yoko smirked evilly down at Ura, moving his Death Tree closer. However, as the branches drew closer, the smirk fell and the deadly expression came back to his face. Seeing the Death Tree grow closer and closer, Ura got to his knees once again, his eyes wide with tears of fear sitting on the edges. He held up his hands, showing the kitsune how scared he really was, his hands starting to blur due to the shaking. Ura stared at the Death Tree as it was mere inches in front of his face, and he knew that he had to say something or...he didn't even want to think about the 'or' in this situation. Not like anyone could blame him, but if I was able to see I would be smirking even wider than I was now, because the guy deserves to die. No one tricks my friend and mocks him!
“I just took what they gave me! Ask Shishi, he's the only one who knows!” Ura shouted, eye wide.
Yoko narrowed his eyes at the 'answer', moving the Death Tree even further towards the short man. “I can smell when you're lying, it makes my tree want to eat you more.” He growled dangerously.
Ura slide away from the branches slightly. “O-Ok! I'll tell you everything! It's Onji! Him and Shishi Wakamaru, they came to us and they said they'd give us anything if we fought! I'm not even Ura Urashima! We were all together, Makintaro, and Kuro and me! They came to us and they gave us special items and said we could all be high class like them! And that's not all! I can tell you who really gave us all the items!” He shouted, completely horrified.
Everyone's ears -except Kuwabara's- heard the sound of the wind changing, but thanks to the Force Field still up, we couldn't see what happened. I narrowed my eyes for a second, but I jumped, hearing what sounded like glass breaking before something embedding itself into flesh. Silence passed before we all heard a familiar scream, that being Ura Urashima. I wasn't sure what happened, and I could tell the boys beside me weren't really sure either, but I could tell that we just won the match. Feeling my smirk being pulled into a wide smile, knowing that any second I would get to see Yoko standing there in all of his glory. I was just about to begin bouncing again, but this time I noticed the look that Hiei was giving me, and I let out a nervous laugh, sweat dropping. I really do feel bad for a Kurama, and I'm the one whose gonna be flipping shit when I saw him.
“Just a lower class beast, always the easiest of pawns.” Yoko said emotionless, staring down at Ura's corpse that had changed into a red beast, a Katana sticking in and out of his neck.
The youkai in the audience were shouting in confusion and impatience, I was just about to join them on that too, and I hate them! I was staring at the Force Field with a confused, worried and annoyed look on my face, and let me tell you that was an interesting combination to pull off, but I did it. But it lessened when I saw the smoke begin to clear away, as well as the Fishing Line loosening up and dieing away slowly. I kept my eyes locked in every direction, wanting to see Yoko when he came out of the smoke, I wanted to see him standing there in all his glory. I know I'm taking this a bit too far, but if you were a big a fan as I was, and you were gonna see the person you thought was dead for fifteen years finally come back, I think you would be in the same position as me, so shut up! I even used a really long run on sentence, that just shows how serious I am, I usually hate run on sentences!
“Look, the smokes going away!” Kuwabara exclaimed, breaking me from my...fight with the people in my head.
I let out an annoyed sigh, crossing my arms over my chest. “Well thank god! That went on for eight fucking minutes!” I shouted with a huff in my voice, an irk mark on my temple.
Hiei only rolled his eyes at me, but I ignored him. Sort of.
The smoke finally cleared, and unfortunately, the first person I saw was Shishi. He was in a throwing position, and I saw his sword sticking out of a red beast, the blade right through his neck. I grimaced at the sight slightly, especially when I saw Shishi let out an arrogant smirk. However, he was instantly forgotten when I saw a flash of silver reach my peripheral vision. My eyes snapped instantly over to it, and my mouth dropped open in awe, my heart almost stopping. The silver haired kitsune stood before us in the center of the ring, his golden eyes narrowed on Shishi's form, and I almost let out a squeal of excitement. It was really him! He looked exactly like the stories had described him, only better! Oh the stories I could hear from him, all those jewels that he stole and were they could be hidden. ...I really love this Tournament. ...I said nothing!
“Hold the microphone people, I've just seen my personal fantasy!” Koto suddenly said, and my smile dropped. “Sexy ears, a dreamy tail, who is this love god? Shishi Wakamaru's sword is there too, stabbed in a beast! Neither of the original combatants are even in the ring, how in the world do we call this thing?!”
“Kurama really is a fox thing!” Kuwabara jumped in shock, his eyes wide. “Gee, and to think I let him near my kitten.” He said mostly to himself, but I heard and couldn’t help but sweat drop at him. ...All right then.
Despite the interruptions and being slightly freaked out by Koto, I instantly got my smile back. “Wow, I can't believe that he's really back, this is fucking amazing!” I shouted with a squeal of happiness, my eyes sparkling with excitement. I too preoccupied with staring at Yoko that I didn't even notice the gaze that was on me in that moment.
However my smile turned into a confused frown, watching as Yoko closed his golden eyes, and I could feel his Spirit Energy weaken slightly, going back to Kurama's normal one. Yoko's once silver locks turned blood red, and his white toga-like outfit changed back into Kurama's light colored Chinese-styled battle outfit. Despite being sad that I couldn't really talk to Yoko while he was in his original form, I was glad that Kurama was all right, I would have missed him if he could never turn back. Sure Yoko is cool and all, but I'd rather have Kurama than Yoko any day, cause I'm just that nice :D. But I couldn't help but pout slightly, feeling a little let down, oh well we all can't get what we want now can we? ...Although I never get what I want, but if I'm patient enough, that might change right? ...God I really hope I'm right...
I was so preoccupied that I didn't even notice baby Juri stumble out before changing back into her adult form, although I wouldn't have really cared, but oh well. “That was neat.” She said, looking at herself.
Koto's face dropped as well at the sight of Yoko disappearing, although her's was more of a shallow reasoning than mine. “I can't explain it, my silver haired hunk has transformed into a sadly tailless Kurama, my whole weekend is shot!” She complained, and I rolled my eyes in annoyance at her.
“Oh blah, blah, blah, your needs!” I shouted at Koto, an irk mark on my temple.
Juri, ignoring the glare off between Koto and I, rose her hand. “Kurama is the winner!” She announced, and a second later the scoreboard let out a little jingle as the score once again changed, leaving us in the lead.
Remembering her job, Koto quickly composed herself, going back to her 'professional' persona, raising the microphone to her lips. “It's official and on the board, Team Urameshi keeps the lead over Team Uraotogi in the Semi-Final round, 3-0!” She announced, ignoring the crowd as they booed at Kurama, who wasn't even paying attention. Now that I look at him, it looks like he didn't really seem to be in 'our' world right now.
My thoughts of that, however, were completely wrong. Kurama's jade-hued eyes opened, and he walked our way, but I could tell that he still wasn't fully there. But that didn't stop me from still feeling excited about him being my idol and all, and that made me blush out of embarrassment. Look at me, I'm fucking blushing over my best friend because he was a famous thief that I looked up to. I'm completely hopeless aren't I? Yeah, I thought so, but I couldn't help myself when I saw Kurama land on the ground before us. I felt myself grow excited, and a wide smile was threatening to spill across my lips.
“U-Uh Kurama...” I spoke up, attention going to me, and the red haired kitsune regarded me with a questioning gaze. “I really, really hope this doesn't sound weird or anything, but it's about you being Yoko and all and...well I...” I trailed off, a blush of embarrassment flooding to my cheeks, and I looked off to the side, trying to control myself.
Two figures stiffened at the sight of the blush -which just had to be noticed -_-**!-, one thought coming to mind. As many people already know, Yoko was a Legendary Bandit and blah, blah, blah. BUT, that wasn't the only thing Yoko was known for. Being a playboy. Yep, the Spirit Kitsune was a man whore -in a good way...I think...-, always bedding one girl before going off to find another when he wasn't stealing jewels. Kurama had stiffened, mostly because he didn't want to find out that somehow during his 'past life' he had done 'something' to me, someone he looked to as a little sister. The other one had stiffened, but no one really knew the answer to why, but we're focusing on Kurama right now :D.
“...And?” Kurama finally asked, hesitantly.
The next thing everyone knew, I was now latched to Kurama's side, a huge smile on my face. “You have no idea how much I fucking admire you! You're my role model, I use to love to hear about all of your heists down in the underground markets of Makai! You were the whole reason why I fell in love with stealing, I wanted to be as good as you were! I will admit though, I don't think you should have slept with so many girls, I mean you could have gotten an STD or something from those whores! ...Oh, sorry! Anyway, I was really sad when you died, I really wanted to meet you! But seeing as how that was -seemingly- impossible, I decided to try and be a Legendary Thief just like you! ...But I wasn't really as good as you, considering I got caught by Koenma, but that's not really important. What's important is that you're alive!” I shouted with a squeal of happiness, my eyes sparkling up at his wide, jade-hued ones.
“You really are an idiot, Onna.” Hiei said annoyed, rolling his narrowed eyes.
I let go of Kurama, staring at Hiei confused, cocking my head to the side. “Why? What did I do now?” I asked, my tone slightly annoyed.
“I think you could have waited until after the round before you confessed to Kurama.” Hiei said bluntly.
I was taken back now. “Confess? What are you talking about? You don't mean like...?” I asked, a look of horror slowly began to cross my features as that one word failed to even process in my mind, let alone try to form in my mouth.
“Yep, love!” Kuwabara shouted, making Kurama and I both blush heavily, but not for the reason you think.
“Oh god...” One minute I was next to the boys, the other I was banging my head against a wall. “You-Are-So-Fucking-Stupid-I-Hope-This-Hurts-You-God-Damned-Dumb-Ass! ” With each word I banged my head against the concrete surface before I couldn't handle the pain anymore. “Ow...” I whimpered, holding my head, ignoring the boys as they sweat dropped behind me.
“Kira, are you all right?” Kurama asked, now worried.
I slowly walked over to them, holding my head. “Before the brain damage sets in, I want to make this perfectly clear.” I sent a look at Hiei and Kuwabara, my eyes lingering on Hiei for a bit longer than I intended. “I am not in love with you Kurama, I just think of you as my role model and older brother, nothing else.” Kuwabara let out a sudden shout of pain, holding his head as I held my right fist up. “Do you understand?!” I shouted with an irk mark as I stared at the wounded ningen.
“Geez, why am I the only one who gets hit?! Hiei thought it, too!” Kuwabara shouted, shooting me a glare.
I sent a withering look right back at him, making him shrink back. “Because Hiei's injured, and he'd break my wrist I even tried.” I said crossing my arms over my chest, making the others sweat drop.
“That wouldn't stop you, you'd try it anyway.” Hiei said, smirking slightly.
“True.” I said, smiling brightly at him.
Kurama finally relaxed from his scare, there was obviously something else on his mind, but he tried not to show it. “That wouldn't be wise, you just got yourself healed.” He reminded, shaking his head lightly as he smiled at me, and I couldn't help but pout.
However, I winced slightly at the memory, my wrist aching ever so slightly as if it remembered, too. “Trust me, I don't want that to happen again, besides Hiei isn't that mean.” I said.
“I swear you have favorites!” Kuwabara whined. “Ever since you came on this team you've never hit anyone but me!” He shouted, a hurt look coming to his face, reminding me of a...puppy who just got yelled at. Believe me, it took everything I had to keep from apologizing, but I still a bit sore about earlier... Yes, I'm mean, I know.
“I hit Yusuke!” I quickly defended.
“Who hasn't hit Urameshi on this team?!” Kuwabara shouted with a roll of his eyes, throwing his hands in the air out annoyance, oh this was going to be fun.
I smirked, glancing at the red haired kitsune to my left. “Kurama.”
Kurama couldn't help but follow my example, nodding. “She's right, you know.” He said calmly, hiding a smirk.
Kuwabara blinked in surprise at the two of us, his mouth dropping open at the shock coursing through his veins. “And now you're double teaming me! Kurama, I can't believe you would take her side!” He said, his tone completely reflecting his expression perfectly.
“Baka, be quiet.” Hiei said coldly, growing annoyed with the shouting.
Kuwabara, not thinking, rounded on Hiei. “Oh, shove it, Shorty!” He snapped with a glare in his eyes.
Wrong move. “What was that?” Hiei growled.
“Uh...” Kuwabara's eyes quickly left their glare, and he began to fidget under Hiei's murderous stare. Turning to me, he gave me a pleading look, and I had to keep from rolling my eyes. Oh, now he wants my help after all he's said. “Kira, wanna give me some help here?” He asked, now nervous.
Pretending not to have noticed what was going on, I blinked in 'confusion'. “I'm sorry, did you say something, Kuwabara? I don't think I heard you.” I said, an evil smirk forming on my lips.
Kuwabara looked horrified. “Kira!”
However, our moment of fun was cut short, my sensitive ears picking up the sound of feet hitting something solid. I quickly turned, my eyes narrowing into a glare when I saw Shishi standing in the ring, near the red beast that had once been Ura Urashima. The others looked back as well, doing the same thing when they saw the purple haired pretty boy. Shishi ignored out stares, pulling his sword out of the red beast's neck, a small splatter of blood falling to the ring floor as Shishi swiped the blood off. He had a completely calm face, not even caring -even if it was a beast- that he killed his own teammate. One thing I hate most is traitors, especially those who betray their teams. Shishi better either die or get hurt because if he didn't, oh there was going to be hell to pay, believe that!
“These primitives, never rely on them.” Shishi re-sheathed his sword, a smile now on his lips, looking at Kurama. “But we did neglect to tell him about the danger of that item with your unusual case. Now, let's continue, shall we?” He asked, his eyes narrowing ever so slightly into a sinister look. Uh oh...
I kept the cautious look off my face. “Sure, we won't mind kicking your teams ass.” I smirked slightly, and I could tell that someone already knew what I was going to say. “Again.” I added for emphasis.
Shishi shook his head with a chuckle in his voice, and that made me tense up slightly. “Patience, 'little' Akira,” Shishi smirked as I growled slightly, my fists clenching at the name. “We don't want to make fate angry, now do we?” He asked teasingly, while I only glared harder. He's dead, I don't care if anyone likes him, he's fucking dead.
Hiei glared. “Just roll.” He ordered cooly, making me look at him in thanks, which he ignored. ...Ass.
Shishi chuckled once again, but grabbed the pentagon shaped dies, tossing them into the air. We all turned back to the ring, our faces and thoughts now serious again. However, I couldn't help but want to have Shishi as my competitor, wanting to punch in his smug, prick face! But I could tell that I wasn't going to get that privilege, thanks to the people up there hating me severely. Watching the yellow dies fall back towards the ring, I almost jumped into the ring to see what the names were, but stopped myself from embarrassing myself further. Almost having Hiei think I was in love with Kurama was terrible, considering that I love him! ...Uh, none of you heard that, right? -///- Shit. My moment of embarrassment was -thankfully- cut short when I heard the dies roll across the ground before coming to a stop, and my blushing face cooled down instantly, growing serious once again.
“And I'm getting the signal from Juri on the floor, looks like it'll be Shishi Wakamaru vs anyone on the Urameshi Team!” Koto announced, and I winced at the sound of that, looking back at the boys. This was not going to end very well...
Shishi let out a scoff. “About time I took control.” He looked at the four of us, and I glared. “Now which one of you 'lovely' fighters do I get to beat?” He asked cockily, while I snorted.
But that was drowned out by the sudden shrill screams of the youkai girls in the stadium, making my ears bleed. They were all cheering on Shishi, gushing over him and his 'good looks', pff yeah right. The guy looked like a girl and I bet he fought like one, too! I grimaced at the sight, almost all of the people in the stadium were girls cheering on Shishi, showing banners, throwing balloons and confetti at the smug bastard as he walked towards the center of the ring.
“Shishi's definitely got a cheer section with him! Oh! I think we lost some tops!” Koto said loudly into the microphone, and I got an anime mad look on my face, my right eye twitching rapidly.
“Really?!” I shouted with an irk mark. “They all disgrace my gender!”
“Hey, why doesn't someone cheer for me, ok?!”Kuwabara shouted, although it was obvious that none of them could hear him. “A real man's attractive 'cause he's tough, not 'cause of charming good looks!” He shouted annoyed, and I looked off to the side, well he was half right anyway...
Shishi smirked, hearing that, and he pointed to him. “Yes you, with the inferior face.” He said suddenly.
I glanced at the three boys, already knowing he wasn't talking about me. ...What? I knew I wasn't ugly, and I would have to think some things about Shishi if he meant me, so shut up! I almost let out a laugh when I saw both Hiei and Kurama looking away, knowing it wasn't them either. I wasn't trying to be mean to Kuwabara, and I really mean that, but the guy wasn't as attractive as those two were. And I almost laughed again when Kuwabara blinked in confusion, pointing to himself, as if he didn't know if Shishi was even talking to him at all. Oh, Kuwabara...
“Huh? Yo-You mean this one?” Kuwabara asked, his tone reflecting his expression.
“Well of course, who else would I mean? You must be born as a side-show freak, why don't you come fight?” Shishi said, beckoning Kuwabara to come forward, and I glared at the purple haired bastard, that was totally uncalled for! No-one makes fun of my friends!
“Shishi, I know you're ugly, but don't try to force it upon other people.” I said, smirking at him.
He 'humphed'. “Next to him, everyone is considered beautiful, even...you” Shishi said with a sneer, that caused me to roll my eyes at the pathetic attempt, while Kuwabara fumed in anger.
Kuwabara let out a shout of anger, his eyes narrowed into a 'deadly' glare. “I'll show you pretty boy!” He growled out, running towards the ring, grabbing on to the edge as he tried to pull himself up. However, I knew that in a few seconds that he was going to fall. Why? I have my ways.
Hiei let out a scoff, smirking slightly. He's so nice...
“Seems Shishi struck a sensitive cord.” Kurama said, his eyes were narrowed, something on his mind again.
I only nodded, sweat dropping slightly when I saw Kuwabara fall off the ring with a small shout of surprise, his eyes wide. I told you... “Let me handle this, Shishi Wakamaru appears to be their strongest fighter.” Hiei suddenly spoke up, his eyes narrowing into a serious gaze, but his smirk held blood lust. Here we go...
“No,” Hiei and I looked at Kurama. “I'll fight him, Onji could be unpredictable, recover your powers for the final match.” He said calmly, not caring for the heated look Hiei was giving him.
“You know, all your deciding is the order of defeat.” Shishi said, smirking.
“Oh, shove a stick up your ass, Shishi!” I shouted with an irk mark, growing rather annoyed with my team.
Hiei had a smirk on his lips, but I could tell it was out of annoyance. “Kurama, it's obvious you only want to fight him so you can learn the secrets of that age reversal. We can't afford any priorities to rank above victory, you let me fight!” He said seriously, his smirk dropping into a frown, eyes narrowed into a glare.
“Why you even talking about it? This 'Sissy' Wakamaru punk just insulted me, and Kira! He's all mine!” Kuwabara shouted, punching his fist into his hand. That was nice of him, but I was annoyed right now.
“I will take this fight!” Hiei snapped, glaring at him.
Kurama's eyes narrowed dangerously as well. “No, it is mine!” He said, almost...growling.
“I'm fighting him!” Kuwabara shouted.
Ok, you know what?! That's it, I can't take it! “God dammit, all of you shut the fuck up, now!” I rounded on them, glaring at all of them dangerously. They were fighting over a fucking fight, geez that was getting old. “I swear to god, if you guys don't figure out how to pick one of you to fight, I'll be going and you all can sit out, do you understand?!” I shouted, giving them all a stare that even Hiei wouldn't want to say no to.
The boys stared at me slightly shocked, well Hiei looked amused at the threat, but I ignored that. I was standing there before them, my hands on my hips and my red eyes glistening with annoyance and anger. For the two that were suppose to be the most mature out of this group, they were acting like a bunch of children who wanted a toy. It made me feel old to be playing the part of the...'mother' but I sucked it up -despite how creepy that felt- and stared them all down. I wasn't sure how that worked considering I was shorter than all of them, but right now I didn't really seem to care all that much.
Kurama finally let out a sigh. “Kira's right, perhaps this can only be decided with a game of Janken.” He said, going back to his normal, calm mood, and I let out a sigh of relief at that. However, I was confused at the word 'Janken' what the fuck was that anyway? It better not be another card game...
“Oh yeah, bring it on!” Kuwabara got a cocky smirk on his lips, holding out his arm with his fist clenched. “I'm a Rock-Paper-Scissors master!” He said proudly, and now I was even more confused.
“Uh...” I mumbled, raising an eyebrow.
Hiei decided to 'help' me finish my sentence. “Janken? And what the hell is that?” He asked annoyed.
Kuwabara's smirk wiped off his face, and he stared down at Hiei slightly shocked, his eyebrows raised to his hairline. “Gee man, you really didn't have a childhood, huh?”He asked, and I noticed Hiei tense up at the remark, and knew that I should do something. ...Even if Hiei wouldn't want me to, but oh well :D!
“Kuwabara!” I said, smacking his arm rather hard, and I ignored the look that screamed 'favorite!'.
“I peruse strength!” Hiei snapped angrily, his eyes formed into a deadly glare as he stared up at the ningen before him. “I do not have time for your trivial-!”
“It's a ningen game.” Kurama interrupted the beginning of the verbal fight that I was sure was going to turn physical if he hadn't stopped it when he did. “Scissors is beat by Rock, Rock is beat by Paper, and Paper by Scissors.” He explained while showing the hand signs for each of the names. Thank god I wasn't playing.
Hiei smirked, now cocky once again. “Pitifully simple.” He said, and I rolled my eyes, my face blank.
“So you ready to get beat?” Kuwabara asked, smirking as well.
“Try me.” Hiei glared.
The smirk widened on Kuwabara's face. “Oh, never played before and he's already cocky. First timers can only use Rock, by the way.” He said as he tried to suppress his smirk from getting any wider, but even I could tell he was lying. But I resisted the urge to 'aw' when Hiei believed him, holding up 'Rock'.
“Don't listen to him, he's pulling your leg.” Kurama smiled, not fazed when Hiei threw another glare at Kuwabara, and he turned to me. “Kira, are you going to play?” He asked politely.
I shook my head. “No, I didn't want to fight Shishi anyway.” I said, putting my hands behind my head.
“So, you were lying...” Kurama said, deadpanned.
“Yep, I could be an actress if I wanted to, huh?” I asked as I smiled brightly up at him, not even caring for the look that was being directed at me from him. I didn't need to be reassured, I almost had an ego as big as Hiei's! ...Wait, that's not a good thing...
“Who would pay to see you?” Speak of the devil.
I shot Hiei a glare, an irk mark appearing on my temple, slowly beginning to pulse. “Don't make me hurt you, Hiei, I don't care if you are injured or not anymore.” I growled, my right eye twitching.
“I'm so scared.” Hiei said sarcastically, rolling his eyes.
That's it! “You god damned little bastard! I'm going to kill you!” I shouted angrily as he smirked, but I couldn't help but notice how he was actually seemed to be in a better mood than earlier. ...Hm, that's a bit strange, but I'm not gonna let that distract me!
“Kira.” Kurama said warningly, making me stop.
I just crossed my arms, pouting slightly as I tried to calm down, but that was a little bit hard when Hiei was smirking at me the entire time. That little jerk, I swear he does these things to piss me of, or get me in trouble, now I feel like a child! However, I quickly got over it and watched the boys as they began their Janken match, slightly confused on how the game actually worked. I mean, Kurama only explained the signs so how the hell was I suppose to know how they executed it? But I stopped my confused thoughts when I saw them throw down their hands three times, each using the different signs as a means to hide which one they were truly trying to use. Again, good thing I wasn't playing...
“One, Two, Three!” They all said together, throwing down their hand signs.
Kuwabara, who had Paper while the others had Rock, turned around as he rose his hands in the air. “Oh yeah! I always win this game!” He shouted as if he won all the money in the three worlds, and I sweat dropped at him, shaking my head. Ningens....
Hiei narrowed his eyes. “Wait, you made your sign a fraction after we did.” He accused seriously.
I looked back at Kuwabara, noticing that he stiffened up at the accusation, and we all know what that means. Lying. “And I thought you had an honor code, Kuwabara, for shame.” I said, hiding a smirk.
“Come on!” Kuwabara turned to Hiei slowly, sweat trickling down his face as he gave Hiei a glare, not liking that fact that he was called out. . “It went by way too fast, how do we know you didn't make it up?!” He asked seriously, clenching his teeth slightly in anger.
“Trust me, 'I' can see.” Hiei said with a glare, a blue glow coming from under his white headband.
I smiled slightly in amusement when Kuwabara grudgingly agreed to go again, and the boys began to throw down their hands signs once again. “Unbelievable! Team Urameshi seems to be deciding who will fight with a game of Paper-Rock-Scissors! I can hardly see the strategy behind this!” Koto shouted from her booth just seconds before the boys threw down their last signs.
Kurama and Hiei had Scissors, while Kuwabara had...Rock.
I looked at the expressions that had crossed Hiei's and Kurama's faces at the sight before them, although Kurama's was more calmed. Hiei was looked down at his hand with a look that told me if he didn't have any self-control, then it would be off in a second. I began to laugh slightly at his expression, but stopped when Hiei sent me a glare that could make anyone drop dead instantly, too bad for him I don't get scared too easily. So I just stuck my tongue out at him, crossing my arms over my chest. Like he could do anything to me, I'm just too adorable to hurt :D! ...Right?
“World Champion!” Kuwabara suddenly shouted happily. “Read 'em and weep, you guys!”
Hiei and Kurama ignored him, and I just smirked even wider at their reactions. Ha. “Well, I would say from their body language that we definitely have a winner! Kuwabara will be facing Shishi Wakamaru, it'll be steel sword vs Energy sword in this vital fourth match!” Koto announced with a smile, eyes already on the ring.
I was as well, seeing Shishi standing there with a serious look on his face. Behind him was a strange see-through cape, it seeming to be floating around him without anything needing to be there to hold it. It was a bit unnerving, and I was beginning to feel a little scared for Kuwabara to be fighting against Shishi.
Kuwabara grew serious, rolling his right shoulder back, getting ready. “I've won every single game of Janken I've ever played, now I'll win against you!” He said, pointing at Shishi with a glare in his eyes.
“Just get yourself in the ring.” Shishi said slightly annoyed, closing his eyes.
The girls in the stadium began to scream once again, and I groaned at the sound, Kuwabara apparently didn't like it either. “Yeah, you go ahead ladies, scream all you want! I don't need your stinkin' support!” A smile came to his lips despite the girls calling him a beast, thinking of Yukina. “I've already got the best fan in the world, and as long as she's watching I'm invincible!” He shouted, turning serious once again.
*He's thinking about Yukina.* I couldn't help but think, smiling at him. *That's so adorable!*
Hiei let out an almost silent scoff, crossing his arms over his chest as he stood beside me, Kurama on the others side of him. {It's not adorable, it's disgusting, Onna.} He growled in annoyance, glaring out of his peripheral vision at me.
I couldn't help but giggle at him slightly. Aw...
{What are you laughing at?} Hiei asked, tensing slightly as the sound rang in his head.
I smiled despite how weird I must have looked, considering I was smiling at 'nothing'. *I'm not laughing, it's just that you're acting like an older brother.* I thought back, watching Kuwabara walk towards the ring.
Hiei narrowed his eyes. {And?}
*And I think it's cute.* I thought, my cheeks tinting a nice pink color. Damn paleness...
Hiei's body tensed up again, and I wasn't sure if it was out of annoyance or surprise, but I couldn't help but smirk slightly when I saw Hiei look off to the side, away from me. {Shut up, Onna.} He thought annoyed.
Ending it here! Sorry for such a long wait, but I decided to spoil you guys with this little scene at the end! I thought it was cute and not TOO much, even though this is the 29 chapter, but oh well! ...I just realized, the next chapter is going to be my 30th! Fuck yeah! I can't believe I'm going to make it that far! EEEH~! I'm excited again xD All right, I've annoyed you guys enough all ready, bye! :D

Hiei narrowed his eyes. {And?}
*And I think it's cute.* I thought, my cheeks tinting a nice pink color.
