Hiei and Kurama:[look at eachother and shake their heads]
Kuwabara:[head pops in]-_-... Do i HAVE TO come out like this?
Me:[turns around with flaming eyes]gr.....
Kuwabara:O.O...[comes out wearing a cowboy outift and a tu tu combined]
Hiei:o.o... [goes into the bathroom][echoing laughters]
Kurama:[crawls into a courner and has a blue moment{you know, when you sit in a courner and blue stuff surrounds you}]so... ugly...
Kuwabara:-_-...
Me:WEEE!!! [looks around]WHERE'S YUSUKE?!?!?!
Yusuke:[from downstairs]I'M NOT COMING!!!
Me:while I get Yusuke, here's the first chapter. But beware, SOME of the characters are sort of... off. I don't own Yu Yu Hakusho.
~~Chapter 1~~
*Sarayashiki Jr. High*
Yusuke was playing with a feather on his face while leaning on his chair. Class hadn't started yet because the teacher was "busy." Yusuke snickered as he remembered what happened just 20 minutes ago. If the teacher had remained outside the classroom for another 25 minutes, class would be over. Kuwabara and his friends tapped Yusuke's shoulder to snap him out of his daze.
"Urameshi, my friends want to know how you got rid of the teacher,"Kuwabara pouted a little, for not being the center of attention, but he, too, wanted to hear the story.
"Okay, so it happened like this..."Yusuke blew the feather to the other side of the room and started his story.
~~Flashback~~
Mr. Akashi was brushing his teeth(or tooth. Have you seen the SIZE of that thing!!! He's like a beaver!!!) in the boy's bathroom. Apparently, there was a new teacher at the school and she was looking HOT! He didn't have a chance with her, but he didn't know that. Yusuke was planning to cut Mr. Akashi's class in the bathroom, but he got a new idea. Yusuke waited until Mr. Akashi was washing his face, then he slipped out if the bathroom with Mr. Akashi's keys. Yusuke closed the bathroom door and locked Mr. Akashi in. He waited for a while, until somebody tried to open the door from the inside.
"What the... HELLO? HELLO? OPEN THE DOOR!!!"Yusuke snickered and ran to the classroom, hearing the distant echoes of the crazy teacher in the bathroom.
~~End Flashback~~
"Urameshi, that was ill!"Kuwabara laughed. The bell rang signaling the end of school and Yusuke high-fived Kuwabara.
"HA! I PULLED IT OFF!!!"Yusuke cheered. He turned to Kuwabara with a questioning look."I haven't seen Kurama in a while. Don't tell me you sat on him."
"SHUT UP URAMESHI!"Kuwabara yelled."But I have to admit, I haven't seen him since the Dark Tournament."
"True. It would be weird if after the tournament, Botan told him "hey, you sexai fox. Wanna be the oar under my bottom?""Yusuke and Kuwabara laughed and bumped into someone. Yusuke and Kuwabara turned around to face a familiar red head.
"MEEEOOOOWWW!!!"Kuwabara jumped into the bushes.
"WOAH!!! KURAMA WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!"Yusuke looked around to see if he magicly appeared at Kurama's school.
"Koenma needs us on another mission. By the way, you're lucky he sent me instead of sending Botan,"Kurama chuckled and turned around. Hiei jumped down from a nearby tree and started walking a little behind Kurama. Yusuke hoisted Kuwabara out of the bushes and followed Kurama to a dark alley. Kurama opened the portal and entered, appearing at Koenma's office.
"What is it, now, Pacifier Breath?"Yusuke groaned. After a whole month of laying back, he had to go on a nother mission. Sometimes, he wanted a schedual for missions so he would know what to do for his times off.
"Haven't I told you before not to call me that, Yusuke?"Koenma was at his desk, finishing off some paper work.
"Whatever, so what's the mission?"Yusuke asked. Kuwabara sat down on a chair and Hiei leaned on a wall in the shadows. Kurama listened while Yusuke was bored out of his mind after only five seconds.
"Okay. This will be a long distance mission---"
"Don't tell me we have to go to the demon world!"Kuwabara complained.
"No, you don't. More like... San Francisco, California,"Yusuke and Kuwabara jawdropped, leaving Hiei and Kurama with questioning faces."There are fugitives in the music buisness and we need you to bring them to Spirit World for their punishment. Unfortunetly, you four have to go INTO the music buisness as a band called the Spirit Boys." Kuwabara fell off his chair and Yusuke fell off his, well... standing spot. Kurama got into a tiny blue moment standing up and Hiei flinched.
"WHO THE HECK DO YOU THINK WE ARE?!"Yusuke screamed.
"Yusuke, you play the guitar, don't you?"Koenma asked.
"No, I play bass."
"Close enough. Kuwabara plays drums and Kurama plays guitar,"Koenma said.
"But what about Hiei; stage manager?"Kuwabara laughed and Hiei growled.
"I figure he could sing. This is a rock band and Hiei has a good voice for it,"Koenma explained.
"I don't sing,"Hiei protested.
"Yeah! He hardly even talks!"Yusuke said.
"Hn."
"You'll have to do it, this time, Hiei. That is, unless you want someone to find out your little secret,"Kurama shot a knowing smile to Hiei.
"Hmph. You're lucky I'm in a good mood,"Hiei looked away from Kurama.
"Then it's settled. All of you are to meet one of my assistants at the airport tomorrow at 9:00 A.M."
"George the ogre?"Yusuke asked.
"No. My assistant will hold up a sign labeled "Spirit Boys,"okay?"
"Fine. Let's go pack guys,"Kuwabara said."Wait a minute, where're we going to get our instruments?"
"I'll have them shipped to your house in San Francisco. My assistant will show you there,"Koenma opened a portal and the boys stepped through.
~~Next Day 8:30 A.M.~~
Koenma's assistant was half asleep going inside his office. She had long, black hair with natural white bangs. Her glassy dark blue eyes, which nobody could ever read. She prefered it that way. Her past is nothing to gamble with. Yet, being possitive was her escape from it all. That day was supposed to be her day off, but Koenma said she was the only one with enough patience to deal with Yusuke and Kuwabara, and enough sanity to deal with Hiei's anger. The girl sighed and rubbed her eyes. Sitting, she dropped her suitcases and took a deep breath. She had to be at the airport at 9:00, but at Spirit World directly at 8:30. Koenma made no sense to her what-so-ever.
"I see you're here, Lily Sun Beamer,"Koenma greeted.
"Hello, Koenma-sama. Good Morning and you know you could just call me Lily,"Lily stood and bowed.
"Ready to go on your mission? Remember The Spirit Boys need to stay in the music buisness to recapture the fugitives."
"Yes, sir. I understand. If you'd remember, I lived in San Francisco for a few years when I was three. I'll make sure they don't get trashed."
"Very well, then. Be on your way,"Koenma handed Lily some supplies and she opened a portal to the roof of the airport. Lucky, nobody had seen her. Lily jumped from the roof to the side of the building and made her way to the front of the airport. It was surprisingly five minutes to nine and she needed to find the idiots who needed her help. Ofcourse, she wouldn't call them that inperson, but she still thought about it. Now she was about to feel like an idiot.
Lily held up a sign labeled in red, "SPIRIT BOYS." Lily waited like that for about ten minutes until she looked at her watch finaly relieving her arm of the numb feeling. A boy touched her shoulder and Lily whipped around slamming the sign in the boy's face. Before she knew it, he was on the ground with a crimson red mark on his face.
"OH MY GOSH! I AM SO SO SO SO SORRY!!!"Lily took the boy's hand and helped him up.
"Eh, it's okay. I get all the time,"the boy looked down."Nice pants."Lily blushed and looked behind him."Wow... That's the first time I didn't get hit for saying something like that."
"You must be spirit detective, Yusuke Urameshi. I"m Lilyuaina Heiroshima, but you can just call me Lily,"she shook Yusuke's hand and smiled.
"Thanks. Lily is way easier to remember,"Yusuke grinned and signaled the others to come forward.
"I AM THE GREAT KAZUMA KUWABARA!"Kuwabara took Lily's hands in his,"will you do me the honor of being my bride?"
"Uhm... I'm flattered, Kuwabara, really. But... I'm not really looking for somebody right now,"Lily removed her hands from his."I'm sure you're a real nice guy, though."Lily smiled and thought,'ew ew ew ew... he is SO lucky Im in a good mood.'
"Thanks for not slapping me. It just makes you all the more attractive,"Kuwabara grinned.
"My name is Shuiichi Minamino, but you may know me as Kurama. It is a pleasure,"Kurama bowed and smiled politely.
"Hn."
"Hm... Yusuke, Kuwabara, and Kurama. You must be Hiei Jagan---"Yusuke covered Lily's mouth.
"He doesn't really want Kuwaara finding out about him being related to Yukina,"Yusuke whispered and Lily nodded.
"Well, let's get to San Francisco, shall we?"Lily grinned and started toward the doors to their plane. Kurama, Yusuke, Hiei, and a very confuzed Kuwabara followed.
Now that must have been the most terrible flight Lily's ever been on. Kuwabara fell asleep, snoring on the seat behind her. She rubbed her temples and kept thinking "just 14 more hours"(A/N I don't know the exact time from Japan to California, but w/e). Yusuke kept pressing buttons above him and all around him. Some, which caused his seat to lean backward. Unfortunetly, he was in the seat infront of her and she ends up getting crushed almost five times. Hiei took the aisle seat next to Yusuke and according to Yusuke, Hiei was looking a little green and it wasn't his demon form. Kurama was reading a book, occasionaly glancing over to Lily who was trying to relax. Lily accidentaly dropped her watch and bent over to pick it up. Kurama's eyes widened as he saw Yusuke's hand reaching to a familiar button. Kurama bent over to Lily's seat and grabbed her shoulders.
"What are you Doing, Kura---"
"Trust me, we---OOF!"Kurama and Lily's heads got smacked when Yusuke's chair leaned back on them. He heard something ehind him and put his chair back into normal possition.
"What's happening, back there?"Yusuke looked back through the space between his and Hiei's seat. He jawdropped when he saw both Kurama leaning over Lily."Uh... Did I interrupt something?"Kurama sat back up with a bump on his head.
"You interrupted my brain circulation,"Kurama rubbed the back of his head and looked at Lily. She was looking out her window, trying to ignore the humongous pain at the back of her head and neck.
"Are you okay, Lily?"Kurama asked as Yusuke returned to his music.
"I'm just fine. Looks like we have about 10 1/2 hours until we land,"Lily gazed out to the sky, admiring the beauty of the light hitting off the clouds."Kurama?"
"Yes?"Kurama looked up from his book.
"It's amazing how the wind never leaves the earth. It's like friends that never leave you in pain,"Lily leaned against her shoulder.
"Do you have experience by chance?"Kurama was starting to get concerned about Lily. She acted as though the end of her days would come soon.
"Kurama, have you ever felt alone?"
"Many times, Lily. It's my reputation that usualy gets tham running,"Kurama's eyes saddened.
"Youko Kurama, right?"Lily read all of Team Urameshi'd files.
"Yes. That's why I like life in the Ningenkai(AKA Human World). Nobody knows my dangerous life beyond,"Kurama looked at Lily, but he couldnt see her eyes. Her bangs were covering half her face.
"I feel about the same way sometimes. Actualy... I can't imagine my life before loneliness more than just a dream,"Lily smiled."We just killed 30 minutes. If we keep going on like this, we'll probably be done with the flight befo---"Kurama put his finger on her lips.
"Tell you what, I'll make sure you're not going to be lonely for now on,"Kurama smiled.
"Kurama I---I want to tell you about this thing that hap... ugh... I think my head ache is starting to get to me..."Lily fell unconsious on Kurama's shoulder. He smiled and looked out the window.
"I promise you'll never be lonely again, Lily..."As the team neared California, a certain person neglected to be sensed following them...
