Kurama:was it really neccessary to do that to her, Hiei?


Hiei:[traumatized]don't... bother me...


Yusuke:o.0... What exactly happened between him and Botan?


Kuwabara:Maybe...[thinks]O.O... UGH! IMAGES!!!


Yusuke:[stares at Kuwabara]you're sick, Kuwabara.


Hiei:[Giant head moment]WE DIDN'T DO ANY OF THAT!!!


Kuwabara:Oh... Then what happened then?


Hiei:She made me watch... My Little Pony[Don't own]...


Yusuke and Kuwabara:AHHHH!!! THE TERROR!!!


Kurama:-__-... Well, since the author is a bit...[looks at me]injured to say it mildly, she doesn't own Yu Yu Hakusho.


~Chapter Three~


Kurama, Yusuke, Hiei, and Kuwabara ran up the stairs and to the kitchen, only to see Lily hanging from her hands on the ceiling, no attacker in sight. Luckily, Lily had not worn a skirt that day. Although, Kurama noticed her face really blue for some reason.


"Uhm... Lily, what happened?"Kurama asked.


"R... R... RAT RAT RAT RAT RAT!!!"Yusuke and Kurama anime fell and Hiei used a chair for support. Kuwabara jumped up to join Lily on the ceiling. Sure enough, a squeak was heard under the table.


"You have GOT to be kidding me. You're afraid of a little weak-"Yusuke bent down to look under the table and his face turned completely purple. A two foot rat[counting the tail] laid under the table. It was a brown mingy color with red eyes. Yusuke stood back up and stared at Kurama. Kurama looked down and his face turned green.


"[Crying]GET RID OF IIIITTTT!!!!!"Lily and Kuwabara were clinging nto eachother, now scrambling up on the refrigerator.


"K... K... Kurama, you heard the lady,"Yusuke nudged Kurama's side.


"N... N... No, Yusuke, I think you have this one,"Kurama gulped. He had a VERY bad experience with rats when he was a child.


"Forget it. I'll take care of the stupid rodent,"Hiei unsheathed his sword and kicked the table to the side. To his horror, he found the rat making babies. Hiei's face paled as he slowly returned the table to its regular possition. He turned to the others and tried to regain his face's color. He approached Kuwabara and grabbed him, who grabbed Lily. Hiei threw them both under the table, trying to scare off the rats.


"HIEI!!!"Kuwabara braced himself for the impact, but it never came. He openned his eyes and saw Lily's hand outstreched, giving off some kind of energy keeping them afloat in the air. Lily had Kuwabara on most of her back with most of her strength keeping them from landing on the rats. Kurama kept fixed on her eyes. They seemed cloudier than usual. Suddenly, as Kurama was about to help them, he got trapped in a trance. The last thing he heard was Lily's voice calling out to him.


~Trance Mode~


Kurama dropped on the streets of Osaka, Japan. Actually, he dropped into the bad side of Osaka. The life there was pretty dangerous, but some have grown used to it. Kurama stood up and smelt the thick poluted air around him. He coughed, trying to release the second hand smoke he just inhaled. Suddenly he realized, those weren't his clothes. His hair was short and brown. Looking into a puddle, he saw his dark green eyes. Kurama backed away and looked around. His clothes were worn and dirty. Kurama decided to walk around, to know what he got himself into once again. Nothing made sense to him. If only someone was there to help him. Suddenly, he saw a girl run out of a dark alley. Her face was dirty and so were her clothes. A gang of thuds were approaching her. The girl removed a dagger from her shoe and unsheathed it. Kurama hid behind a trash can in the shadows. He didn't want to get himself into anymore trouble than he thought he was. Before he knew it, the gang was on the ground in a puddle of blood. The little girl looked behind her, in the direction of Kurama's hiding place.


"Kaiyosei...?"The girl walked over to where Kurama was.


"I... I dont know who you're talking about..."Kurama dropped and inched away from the little girl.


"But big brother. That's your name..."The little girl did look a lot like him.


"Oh, right,"Kurama stood up and took the little girl's hand. She gripped his and started walking with him. Soon, she had lead him to an old warehouse. The windows were cracked and boarded in. A boy stood at the entrance. He looked exactly like Kurama's appearance.


"Hey, bro,"the boy came up to Kurama and hugged him and the little girl."Mincy, have you seen the rest of the gang?"The boy looked at the little girl, obviously named Mincy.


"No, Keiyosei. I haven't,"Mincy gripped onto Kurama's hand tighter. Someone called out Mincy's name from behind them.


"Mincy!"It was Lily. She and some others were running in their direction. Lily looked menacing for some reason, to Kurama. Mincy went over to hug Lily and ther rest of the kids. Suddenly, a bullet shot out of nowhere and they all had to drop to the ground. Kurama noticed Lily cover Mincy. More bullets shot out of random directions. Mincy had gotten restless and tried to get away from Lily's grasp. Lily raised her shoulders for a brief moment, so she wouldn't crush Mincy. A bullet hit Lily and sent her flying three feet away.


"LILY!"Mincy screamed. Keiyosei kept Mincy down. Lily got up and her eyes glew a furious red color. Mincy and the others looked like they had just seen an army of ghosts. Kurama stood up for a brief moment, trying to remember where he had seen that aura before. The boy Keiyosei pulled him back down as another bullet shot. Keiyosei had forgoten about Mincy and accidentaly let her go. Mincy ran over to Lily and got blown back by Lily's aura. Kurama winced and got out of Keiyosei's grasp. He ran to Lily and tackled her to the ground. Kurama was in an all out brawl with her for a few minutes until he finaly noticed what he was doing. Lily had returned to normal and stood up, wiping blood from her mouth.


"[Crying]MINCY!!!"Lily and Kurama turned around to see Keiyosei hovering over Mincy. He looked up, with tears burning his eyes. He glared at Lily, whom had stared back."THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT! YOU KNEW SHE'D GO AFTER YOU! THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!" Lily backed away, her eyes fixed to the ground. Kurama suddenly found himself yelling at her, too.


"WHAT THE HECK'S WRONG WITH YOU?! IT'S YOUR FAULT SHE'S DEAD!"Kurama's eyes widened. He had no control over that yell what-so-ever. He stared at Lily, noticing the wound at her side from the bullet. Everything started to spin and he found himself in the living room, on the couch. He shook his head and tried to return to normal.


~End Trance Mode~


"Kurama, are you alright?"Lily was at his side, Yusuke and Kuwabara asleep on the other couches around him. Kurama nodded and stared at Lily in concern. Lily looked away, her eyes showing the first hint of emotion Kurama has seen since hes been with her, but he didn't want the emotion she had-hurt.


"Lily..."


"You saw them, didn't you?"Lily looked back to Kurama.


"Saw... Who?"Kurama mentally smacked himself for asking such a stupid question.


"My friends. You saw them in your trance..."Lily looked into Kurama's eyes,"never look directly into my eyes when I'm using my powers."


"I learned that... I'm concerned about you, though... Those scars will never disappear, will they?"


"The bullet shot? Of course the scar disappeared."


"I meant emotional scars, Lily. I want you to tell me how you felt that day."


"You know more than you should, Kurama. Usually I'd kill people when they get this far,"Lily's eyes narrowed for a second."But considering that you're part of this team, I'll make an acception,"Lily walked over to the window and looked at the rain. Her clouded eyes reflected the blue mist outside. Kurama walked over to Lily and hugged her from behind. He leaned over and whispered in her ear.


"Nothing that's plaguing you I can't fix. Just tell me what's wrong..."Kurama was a bit terrified of the fact that Lily felt so cold.


"Kurama, it's alright. I'll be fine and you know that. Please trust me,"Lily removed Kurama's arms from her and sat down, facing him.


"Lily, I'm concerned. If this kind of thing goes too far, it'll cause you to permanently go into depression,"Kurama sat down near Lily.


"Kurama..."Lily felt uncomfortable. She wasn't used to people caring about her. It made her feel ackward."Please... I just don't want to... to get hurt again. I don't want to live a lie anymore, but it's just that---"Kurama put his finger on Lily's lips.


"I won't hurt you, Lily. I don't want to. I never will,"Kurama reassured.


"How do I know, Kurama?"Lily stood up,"that was what Kaiyosei had told me before. He was just like you back then. I don't want to get hurt. I don't want anyone to get hurt. Please, just stay away. If you come to close, something bad will happen! Something bad always happens when people do!" Tears started to stream down Lily's cheaks. Kurama took a step toward her and Lily back away.


"Lily..."


"I know you just want to help, but I can't risk it! My brother had always told me---"


"You have a brother?" Kurama and Lily neglected to notice Hiei entering the room.


"Yes. My brother had always told me "you can meet many people and they can promise you the world, but you can't make all of them your friends and you can't trust all of them to keep their promises!""Lily backed away farther and ran up to her room. Hiei's eyes followed her until he felt an earthquake, resulting from Lily slamming her door shut. Yusuke and Kuwabara jumped up.


"What was that? Are we under attack?!"Yusuke looked around.


"No we aren't. That was Lily,"Kurama clarrified.


"She's got major arm then,"Kuwabara said.


"What happened, Kurama?"Yusuke looked at Kurama.


"I took a trip back to her past. I was trying to help her and she ran to her room,"Kurama's eyes saddened.


"Oh. She told us while you were unconsious that she didn't like being baby sat and she's not used to people looking after her. That's why Koenma assigned her to look after us,"Kuwabara said.


"I wish I could've known that sooner, then,"Kurama sighed. Suddenly, there was another earthquake and the gang heard Lily scream.


"I hope it's not another rat!"The gang ran upstairs. Kurama grabbed his rose and Hiei unsheathed his sword. Kuwabara got out his spirit sword. Yusuke rammed Lily's bedroom door down and ran in. Half Lily's room was destroyed, but Lily was nowhere in sight. Hiei examined the edge of the room. Kuwabara lifted the bed and tried to look for clues. Yusuke and Kurama stared at the blood on the floor.


"Hmph. Lightning,"Hiei stood up and everyone else looked at him.


"What do you mean?"Yusuke asked.


"The attacker used lightning to tear up this room. Part of this room is metal and it's raining outside. Perfect weather for lightning,"Hiei glared at no apparent person outside.


"How do you know, Shrimp?"Kuwabara questioned.


"The way this room was destroyed. This room ends in jagged wood and metal,"Hiei looked at the blood on the floor.


"I should've known better that to not seal these grounds with traps!"Kurama slammed his fist on the table.


"Don't be so hard on yourself, Kurama. I'm sure she's fine,"Yusuke rested his hand on Kurama's shoulder.


"No! If it wasn't for me, she would've been downstairs with us!"Kurama shook off Yusuke's hand.


"You guys act as though someone's dead,"everyone turned toward the openning of the room. Sure enough, there was Lily, alive and standing.


"Lily!"Kurama ran over to her and embraced her in his arms.


"You didn't think I'd leave you guys, now did you?"Lily smiled.


"What happened? Who came?"Yusuke asked.


"..."Shadows covered Lily's eyes. Kurama's eyes saddened once more.


"My... brother..."Everyone looked at Lily in disbelief. Lily looked up and slightly smiled."He was in my room when I came. That's why I slammed the door."


~Flashback~


Lily ran up to her room and openned the door. She stared at the person on her bed. His black hair was soaked from the rain and his fierce red eyes darted toward her. He stood up and looked Lily over. Lily slammed the door and ran over to her brother. She hugged him and he in return hugged her back. He held her arm length and looked her over again.


"Malkior, I cant believe it's actually you!"Lily was so happy to see her brother again-after 10 long years.


"You've grown so much. I cant believe you're still alive,"Malkior's eyes suddenly widened and he drew away from her.


"What did you mean by that?"Malkior looked reluctant to her.


"Your destiny won't allow you to live your whole life,"Malkior's hands started to glow.


"Malkior... My destiny... What?"Lily was completely confuzed.


"If only I wasn't the one to have to kill you. It would make this easier to explain,"Malkior turned to Lily.


"Kill me?"Lily stepped forward.


"You see..."


~Flashback within a flashback~


It was a rainy day in Kyoto, Japan. Lightning struck viciously in the sky. A mixture of rain and hale fell violently down from the sky. A woman, a man, and a child ran through the forest. It wasn't a good day for them. They were far from their home and shelter. They were lost in the forest, with no umbrella to protect them. The woman pauses and starts to breath heavily. She sat under a tree and her husband and child stopped.


"What's wrong, Yuai?!"The man knelt down next to his wife.


"Rorek, I think it's time!"Yuai started to scream. She was pregnant with a baby that night and they were supposed to be going to a hospital.


"Just breath in and out. Quick breaths, now,"Rorek tried to coax his wife to calm down. Little two year old Malkior hugged Yuai.


"Moma..."


After many minutes of screaming, a baby girl was born. Yuai smiled as Rorek held their new child. The baby girl had short, black hair with natural white streaks through her hair. Her dark blue eyes were closed as she cried. Rorek sat next to Yuai and smiled. Malkior gently stroked his baby sister's hair.


"Watcha' callin' her, daddy?"Rorek and Yuai looked at eachother.


"We don't know, yet, Malkior,"Yuai hugged Malkior lovingly. Suddenly, a giant lightning beam shot out from the sky and hit the baby girl. Yuai screamed and Rorek jolted up."OH MY GOSH!!!"Yuai tried to get up, but she was still weak. The baby has silenced, but she was still alive. The little girl blinked and her head moved to the right. Rorek followed the direction of his daughter's eyes and he smiled to see a shrine.


"She's fine, and found us shelter. Yuai, hold our new child. I'll carry you over there. Malkior, follow close to me,"Rorek picked up Yuai bridal style and Malkior stood at his side. They all ran to the shrine and rested there.


"I cannot believe you're alive, daughter,"Yuai was crying tears of joy. Rorek took the liberty of looking around. He saw an old sign and dusted it off. He stared at the sign.


"Suiren Jinja-Water Lily Shrine,"Rorek openned the doors, the shrine empty with no people inside. To his surprise, there was a hole in the ground with a pond beneath. There were water lilies in the pond, and some fish swimming around. Rorek picked up one of the soft water lilies. He came back to Yuai, Malkior, and his daughter. He placed the water lily on the floor and rested his daughter's head on it. She fell instantly asleep.


"So what have you found, Rorek?"Yuai asked.


"A pond, a few scrolls, and the name of this shrine. Turns out it has been long from being inhabited. Have you ever heard of the Suiren Jinja?"Rorek sat down next to Yuai.


"Yes. This shrine is legendary then. My father had taken me here many time when I was a child-just as his mother had done to him, he father had done to her, and so on for ten generations,"Yuai, looked around her, admiring the shrine as if it were her first time being there.


"I took the liberty of bringing back one of the scrolls,"Rorek took out a scroll and started to read it. His eyes widened as he read the title.


THE CURSED HEIROSHIMA CHILD


In many many years, this shrine will be deserted by it's inhabitants. It will be a stormy day when the last of the thirtieth generation of the Heiroshima family will be born. This child will be cursed by the lightning, wind, and rain elements. Nothing can stop the dangerous venom from entering the child's body. Life will be rough with obstacles the child must endure. As the child grows, it will grow stronger, and so will the desire to cause havoc to everyone around it. The child must be killed by the Heiroshima born before it, so that darkness won't overwhelm all three worlds. Nothing will stop the child if allowed to grow stronger through it's years.


The fate of the worlds is in the cursed child's hands the minute lightning strikes it's body. The child can either destroy the worlds, or harnest its energy to make things better in all three worlds. But whom ever shall read this message be aware, for no one has ever harnesed the humongous power and responsibility of this curse.

Rorek finished reading and stared at his wife in shock. Yuai looked at her innocent child.


"How can she be cursed?"Yuai asked.


"I have no idea, Yuai, but I do think that legends are a part of the past. Let's not listen to this and raise our child with love,"Rorek hugged Yuai.


"Lilyuaina is cute when she's sleeping,"Malkior said.


"What did you say, Malkior?"Rorek asked.


"Lilyuaina. Isn't it a pretty name?"Malkior smiled.


"Yes it is. I believe Lilyuaina is a perfect name for our daughter,"Yuai smiled.


"I hope this legend doesn't come true..."Rorek stared at Malkior,"or else brother and sister will be forced to face eachother in battle."Yuai nodded and fell asleep in her husband's arms.


~End Flashback within a flashback~


"I... I'm cursed?"Lily backed away from her brother.


"Yes. And it's my job to take you out..."A bright light surrounded Malkior and part of the room was blown off. Lily screamed as a jagged piece of wood pierced her side. Tears streamed down her cheaks as she charged at her brother. Blood dripped on the floor and she tackled him off the edge. They were in an all out brawl, eventually using their powers to injure eachother.


~End Flashback~


"Woah. That was harsh. So... you're cursed?"Yusuke asked.


"Yes. I believe I am. I'm cursed and bound to the darkness, but that doesn't mean I should just give in,"Lily turned around and her eyes widened."OH MY GOSH!!!"[CRASH]

Kurama:I still cant believe she slept through all of that.


Hiei:Hmph.


Botan:[Comes in singing the "My Little Pony"[dnt own] theme song]


Hiei:[twitch][pulls on headphones]


Kurama:[sweatdrop]
