The diner was crowded, it was a busy night but at the moment the biggest party that had been there was leaving. One of the cooks was looking through a book of the inventory as she stood leaning against the wall. A man with orange hair walked up to her, the girl stood in the shadows, so she wasn't very visible but it could be seen she had a bun on the back of her head held in with chopsticks and was somewhat tall. The man was also tall and muscular but had a kind look in his eyes, he wore a plan white tank top and black slacks.
“Excuse me miss?” the girl looked up quickly and glared at him.
“Sir I am working here, and I can't afford to loose this job” she went back to looking at her papers, with a frustrated sigh she flipped the next one and scanned the page and repeated the process.
“ would you like another one then?” she looked up surprised this time.
“Possibly, but I am not a prostitute” she said bluntly, the man looked aghast, like she had just said she was going to blow up the whole building if he didn't leave.
“No! never! My name is Kazuma Kuwabara, and it's a babysitting job I want you for” her face softened.
“oh that's all? Well that's not enough to live on..I have to pay rent-“
“ you can live in the guest room! I really need someone to watch the kids and I will pay you good money! And I promise you can trust me, its not like I'm going to come in your room or anything!” she saw the man was getting frantic so she quickly nodded.
“sure no problem calm down ok? My name is Lita Kino” he brightened nearly instantly and nodded.
~~~~~~~~In front of Kazuma's~~~
Lita stood there in a long sleeve green T-shirt with a white vest and a long dark green skirt, beside Kazuma with her 2 duffel bags and a backpack on her back. I can't believe I'm doing this…. Its just something about him said I could trust him he turned to her.
“ just think of them as yin and yang though one isn't really evil…you'll see” he opened the door and and she went in, setting her bags on the couch to the left of the door.
“you aren't normal are you?” she looked up startled at him.
“what do you mean by that?”
“I mean you aren't exactly human, I'm not going to do anything to you or anything if you admit it”
She seemed to think It over for a minute before nodding I'm definitely not in Kansas anymore…
“ then you will get along with them perfectly” he motioned for her to follow him and they walked down the hall, past the kitchen and the bathroom and a room that the door was closed and was painted dark blue with white snowflakes painted all over it, and in the middle in black it said: `Chidori'. Kuwabara stopped and listened for a moment hearing no noise from that one. He walked on and on the right there was another door, this one was painted black but had flames painted on the bottom that climbed towards the top and in the middle in silver it said `Kiru'. He listened again and could hear the children, a boy and a girl and were playing BS.. a game he had taught them but he had taught them to shout `BS!' not `Bullshit!” I am going to pound Urameshi when I see him again! He opened the door and walked in, and there in the middle of the floor was a little girl with dark red hair, though it had a slight blue tint and was styled like her mothers, she had brown eyes but were sprinkled with red and her face was shaped just like her mothers, whom three was a picture of at the of of Kiru's bed, while Kiru had his fathers hair exactly but was styled like his aunt, whom there was also a picture of with their mother in fact, his hair was short but longer than his fathers, his eyes were brown with a ring of red on the outside. Just then Chidori put down 3 cards.
“ 3 kings”
“Bullshit” he stared at her as she smiled a knowing smile, he stood up angrily.
“Bull-fucking-shit!!” she shook her head and turned over the cards, revealing 3 kings.
“Kiru you're 3 years old you shouldn't be cursing!! I told you to say BS not Bullshit who taught you to say Bullshit?!” Kuwabara practically yelled as his daughter calmly gathered the cards and his son faced him and was about to yell back when Chidori answered him calmly, though without her mothers shyness.
“Uncle Yusuke father, now please calm down”, Kiru meanwhile was now leaning on his door looking Lita up and down. As his father looked frantically around the room and poked his head out into the hall.
“ hey wait Shizuru is supposed to be watching you!!”
“she went bar hoppin', she told us not to leave the room unless we had to piss” Kiru replied in a nonchalant manner, speaking again in order to cut his father off.
“ who is the chik?” Chidori stood and walked over to stand near her brother as Lita leaned down a little.
“My name is Lita, you must be Kiru and Chidori” Chidori simply rolled her eyes and brushed past them into the hallway back to her room, as she said calmly, sounding like her uncle Hiei
“I like this girl, nothing gets past her ne'?” Kuwabara looked back and forth again angry and slightly frantic.
“I'm really sorry about her she takes after Hiei”
“ oh its ok really, looks like your son is a pervert, does he take after you?” Kuwabara blushed and Kiru smirked
“Somewhat… you the new sitter?” after she nodded he gave her a odd look “your aura is really weird what the hell are you?”
“Kiru!!!!”
“What?!”
“ that's rude how would you feel if someone asked you that?!”
The boy just shrugged.
“No its alright!!” she waved her arms around to stop the 2 men who were acting like children.
“It's a really long story and maybe you will hear it sometime but its behind be now ok? What is happening now is I'm here and moving in, now who is hungry?” she immediately jumped back as Chidori came running out of her room, Kiru started jumping up and down and Kuwabara screamed:
“I AM!!!”
“ I want food!!!” Kiru yelled happily
“Please?” Chidori said, still holding back a bit but clearly happy about the prospect of food.
((a/n: makes you wonder what Kuwabara eats and what he feeds these kids?!!))
~~~~Din din~~~
Chidori, Kiru and Kuwabara all scarfed down the food, oblivious to the fact that they were being stared at.
“breathing helps” Kuwabara looked up and blushed and Kiru just smirked and swallowed
“really?” Chidori chose to give her normal snide response, indeed taking after uncle Hiei and Aunt Shizuru.((~hint hint nudge nudge~))
