Chapter 17

(Unknown POV)

I looked up at the red haired angel as he lifted me up. He pulled up my undergarments (boxers) and pants. Fastening them, he turned to the little one behind him and spoke to him. I shrunk away as they began to agrue.

"Hiei, he was raped by his step-father! You don't just rush in and try to do that to him!" The red haired angel spoke. The small one, who looked like the fallen angel I would read about, glared.

"He seemed to be enjoying it!" Hiei, his name was...I guess since my angel savior spoke it, said.

"Do you suppose him whimpering was in pleasure, when it clearly was in him in pain?" I cringed as my angel's voice got angrier. I crouched down and put my hands over my ears. Now...don't fight. Not because of me!

"Kitsune don't take that tone with me! You know how he feels for us both!" Hiei said. I cringed and let my tears escape my eyes as I cowered away from them both.

"The fuck is going on in here?!" I looked up to see my mother walk into the room. My eyes widened as I noticed her glaring at my angel and the fallen one.

"Hahaue..." I murmured. "Don't be angry with them, I was my fault." I looked up at her with golden eyes with hints of brown in them. My mother gasped as she looked into my eyes.

"Atsuko-san what's wrong?" My angel asked. My mother rushed over to me and hugged me.

"My dear baby boy, what happened?" She asked into my ear. I stiffened in her arms and shook my head.

"Nothing mommy," I whispered. "I'm fine..." I smiled at her.

"Atsuko what is going on?" My angel insisted. I looked at him to see his expression that of a thoroughly confused human, but angels aren't human. I giggled at this.

"Did...Yusuke just giggle?" The Hiei one asked looking at me.

"So what if I did? Is there a law against it Fallen Angel-san?" I asked as I crossed my arms cutely. My mother sighed and looked up at Hiei-Fallen-Angel-san and my angel.

"Atsuko...his eyes..." My angel whispered.

"I know, they are golden-brown." She said as she pulled me into her lap. "Guys...there is something that you need to know." I looked at my mother. "Little Rai-chan, can you get on the couch with me?"

"Hai hahaue!" I said and stood up. I stumbled over to the couch and plop down on it. I looked up as my mother sat beside me. My angel sat in the love seat and Hiei-fallen-angel-san, I'll just call him Hiei now, sat on the floor.

"What's going on Atsuko, why are his eyes like that? And why is he acting like he's a child?" My angel asked.

"When Takimori," I cringed at that name. "Sorry hunny..." She pulled me into her lap. I laid my head on her lap and allowed her to play with my hair. "That...man...he traumatized Yusuke so much at such a young age that another personality was growing in him. That man would call Yusuke 'little lion cub' because everytime Yusuke would fight back, he would try his hardest, but never succeed like a lion cub."

"Are you saying, that Yusuke created a split personality to escape from the pain?" My angel asked. I smiled at him and sat up nodding. Hiei seemed to be interested in me also.

"Yep! I'm the one that would protect Yu-chan. I'm known as 'The Little Lion Cub' or as the Mazoku Blood would call me Raion-chan." I answered. My angel stared me sadly.

"How can you be so happy? After all..." He trailed off

"Angel-san, what is your name?" I asked instead. My mother smiled at me and ruffled my hair.

"My name is Kurama..." He answered. Kurama-tenshi looked lost and sad.

"I'm happy, because I help Yu-chan. Yu-chan despises himself for not being strong to stop the raping and beatings. So I would take Yu-chan's place, so he wouldn't remember...so he wouldn't feel sad." I explained. "He doesn't hate you guys...so you know..."

"I would not be too sure..." Hiei said under his breath. I turned to my mother and she nodded to me. I loved her she always understand. I briefly hugged her before crawling off the couch. I went to Hiei and laid my head in his lap. He stiffen and stared down at me.

"Yu-chan loves you both. Yet...he is not accustom to receiving it without getting hurt." I curled up and stayed in Hiei's lap. "The Mazoku has informed me that Yusuke is resting in his domain...and will not be out for a while." I watched my mother stand up and smile.

"I'll make some warm caramel and fruit." I waved as she went to the kitchen.

"Arigato Hahaue!" I grinned and and sat up looking at Hiei. I stared into his eyes. He leaned back a bit so our noses weren't touching, but that won't hide him from me. You see, I have this uncanny ability to see into the eyes of lovers of Yusuke and see what they feel for him. Hiei indeed loved Yusuke, but he needed release.

"What are you looking at?" He asked gruffly. I huffed and sat back on the heels of my feet.

"Why were you so rough with him? I can clearly see that you love him as you do Kurama-tenshi, but you act on instinct instead of your heart." I said as I stood. I looked around the apartment. It was all foreign to me. Yes, I learned stuff through listening to Yusuke's teachers when he did not. Doesn't mean I saw. The Mazoku could see not me.

I looked at Kurama-tenshi to see him with his head on the arm rest watching me. I shivered with glee and smiled. Perhaps I should tell them of what Yusuke could not. It will be fun to be able to play for a few days.

"Raion..." I looked at Kurama-tenshi. "Would you tell us more about yourself?" I blinked then nodded.

"Unlike normal split personalities that could see, I was blind when I'm not in control. I could hear but not see. I am only able to when true fear, stress, or some kind of major emotion is in Yusuke's heart." I replied. "I keep contact with the Mazoku because he is my eyes when I have to hide away in the darkness."

"In the darkness?" Hiei asked.

"Hai. You know the corner of the heart and mind, where you hide memories that you want to forget?" I thought about that for a bit. "Then are usually forgotten..." I giggled. I must stay positive for my own sanity. "Anyway, Yu-chan doesn't know of me. He thinks that his Mazoku Blood is me...so...I'm kind of like a hidden child."

"Raion-chan, tell them what you like to do." Hahaue said as she came back into the living room with a bowl of warm caramel and a plate of assorted fruit. I perked up and scooched over toward the table as she placed it down. "You will be with them all tomorrow."

"Atsuko-san?" Kurama-tenshi blinked.

"I'm going to be with Jaxxia, explaining the murders to her so she can help Yusuke. Plus, Raion-chan could use to some fun while he's out." Hahaue said. I picked up a strawberry and dipped it in the caramel before eating it. "Plus, Raion-chan will tell you more of Yusuke's past and what has been going on since the Sensui incident. Heaven's knows he hears everything Yusuke thinks." I licked the caramel from my fingers before looking through the plate again. "Raion-chan..."

"Oh yes, I like archery too. It helps tune the spirit energy Yu-chan has. I attempt to go to the range as much as I can while I'm out." I replied as I picked up a sliced apple and dipped it in the caramel. "Let's see....Reading, archery, drawing....writing of course...I like music. Hm..." I bit into my caramel covered prize as I thought more. "Oh, and any type of martial arts!" I remembered. I smiled as I looked at Kurama-tenshi and Hiei. "That answer what I like to do?"

"Yes it does..." Kurama-tenshi smiled at me. "Perhaps sometime I'll take you to the library."

"That would be nice...I prefer not reading the book Yu-chan does." I said scrunching up my nose slightly.

"And praetell what those would be Raion-chan?" Hahaue asked intently. She had the evil look in her eye that said she really wanted to know.

"Those American smut books Hahaue!" I said looking at her. "That Laurell K. Hamilton authoress..." She stood up suddenly and shouted in victory. I scurried off behind the love seat as she shouted.

"HA! I KNEW HE WASN'T BUYING NORMAL BOOKS!" Kurama-tenshi chuckled as he looked over the back of the love seat. Hiei was leaning back so he could see me too. Hahaue blushed and scratched her cheek. "Gomen Raion-chan, I forget that you don't like when I shout."

"It is alright," I said crawling out of my hiding spot. I quickly went back to the caramel and began to eat again.

"Atsuko-san, are you sure about tomorrow?" Kurama-tenshi asked.

"If you boys are going to be Yusuke's mates, you have to know his past and what has happened to him. You can get it from Raion-chan. He's more than happy to help Yusuke right?" She looked down at me when I had my mouth filled with a pear and caramel. I nodded. Of course I am going to help! For Yu-chan anything. He deserves to happy. "And you..." She looked at Hiei. "I know you were trying to give my son a blow-job." I think Hiei-kun blushed. I blushed too, I was after-all 'listening in'. "But if you ever force sex or anything on him again. I swear to kami Hiei, not even Koenma will be able to find your remains. Even if he does, there will be too many to put back together." Kurama-tenshi chuckled as Hiei gulped 'unnoticably' and nodded. "That includes your soul, It won't even reach Reikai." She had strutted over to Hiei as she talked and got in his face. Her voice was very, very scary.

"Hahaue!" I raised my voice slightly. "Kowaii....Stop doing that. I'm sure Hiei gets the picture. Now go away...." I yawned and rubbed my eyes. Hahaue took the plates away and went to the kitchen.

"Can you guys put Raion-chan to bed?" She called. I shook my head as they looked at me.

"I'll go to the guest room, Kurama-tenshi you need to take care of Hiei-kun." I swear Hiei is blushing! I smiled. "Goodnight Tenshis..." I said as I stumbled toward the guest room. I was about to fall when, Kurama-tenshi caught me from behind. I looked up to see Hiei and him there. He picked me up and carried me. I yawned again and snuggled into his chest.

"Raion, has Yusuke been eating?" Kurama-tenshi asked as we entered the room. I shook my head slightly.

"Plagued by nightmares..." I murmured sleepily. Hiei pulled down the covers of the bed as Kurama-tenshi put me into the bed. He pulled the covers back up and smiled.

"Goodnight Raion-chan," He whispered and kissed my forehead. I frowned and shook my head. "What?"

"If you want to be Yusuke's mates you gotta do it like this..." I grabbed Kurama-tenshi hair that was beside his face and yanked him back down and kissed him on the lips. He relaxed instantly against my lips then pulled away. I smiled. "Next!" I looked at Hiei, who raised an eyebrow. Kurama-tenshi pushed Hiei forward.

"I don't want to...." He murmured like a child. I smiled and grabbed him and hugged him to me.

"It's okay Hiei-chan...Yu-chan doesn't blame you, nor do I. I know you love him." I pulled him away enough to kiss him on the lips. Hiei-tenshi was very shock, but soon responded. He pulled away then nuzzled into my neck. "Now, now...Kurama-tenshi will take care of you so you won't do that again, 'kay?" I asked tilting my head to the side. Hiei nodded and pulled away. Kurama-tenshi smiled kindly at me.

"Goodnight Raion-chan, get some rest." He told me. I laided down comfortable and yawned. Closing my eyes, I turned on my side. I heard them leave and enter Yu-chan's room. I could sense my mother in her room lying down. I silently turned onto my back and raised my hands before my face.

"Yu-chan...why do you torment yourself?" I put my hands on my face and cried. I continued to cry until I fell asleep.

I watched Yu-chan fight his father through his eyes. A memory...I remember it like it was yesterday. I was wrapped in the Mazoku's arms, so I would be allowed to see the evil that was taking place.

'Why? Why is he doing this?' I asked.

'Because ningens like this thrive on the fear and pain of others Raion-chan.' He replied as he too watched the event even he couldn't stop.

'But why harm a child?' I sniffled. 'Yu-chan didn't do anything bad...' I turned and cried into the Mazoku's arms.

'I will make that man regret doing this to Yu-chan. I swear it...I'll make him regret forcing you into this existance.' The Mazoku said.

'You are his Toushin, I am his alter personality...there is nothing that we can do.' I replied. I winced as I heard a slapping sound. 'May the holy mother, Mary give protection to him.' I whispered.

'Being religious isn't going to do anything,' The Mazoku said.

'It is better than being emotionless.' I responded. Takimori took out a blade out he flipped Yu-chan over. Yu-chan started to wildly thrash around crying. 'I better go...'

'Yea...' The Mazoku kissed my cheek. 'We will find those who will protect him from this and himself. Don't ya worry.' I nodded and felt my spirit pushed to the surface as the blade was pushed into skin.

I awoke with my back burning. Tears pricked the edge of my eyes as I sat up. Yu-chan was going back through his memories. I let the tears fall as I crawled out of bed and looked at the clock beside it. 4:38 am...I wonder if Hahaue is up yet. I got on all fours and smirked. I wonder if Hahaue remembers this game.

I silently crawled out of the room and crept toward my mother's. I stuck my head into her room looking around. Smirking at the lump in the bed, I went over to the bed on all fours. I poked my eyes over the edge of the bed and scanned the lump. I silently hummed the Mission: Impossible theme song in my head as I backed up a bit. I waggled my rear a bit before jumping onto the bed. I landed with a soft 'Oof!' and promptly fell off the bed. I was tangled up in the blankets as I turned to my mother. She was sitting up on the bed grinning at me. I had the blanket over my right eye making me look cute, or so the expression on my mother's face said.

"Kawaii..." She said. See...I called it.

"Hahaue...what were you doing up?" I tilted my head to the side.

"Making sure you don't leave," She said as she fixed the bed. I watched silently as she pulled the cover from my head. "You won't find him Raion-chan...he's dead..."

"I know..." I whispered. I climbed onto my mother's bed after she fixed it and watched her. "Hahaue...should I trust Yu-chan's demon mates?" I was nervous and I didn't know if I should tell them everything. I sat indian style on the bed and sighed. Hahaue sat beside me and combed my hair away from my eyes.

"I think you should do what you think Raion-chan. Yusuke trusts them. So should you." I looked at Hahaue with a hard look.

"Then why did he run away?" Hahaue's eyes widened as she stared at me. She was trying to search my eyes the way I could with everyone. I wouldn't let her. "Tell me Hahaue, why does Yu-chan cause himself pain? He did not do anything to blame himself."

"Raion-chan, you of all people should know how his mind works." Hahaue explained. "Yusuke was tortured as were you. Yusuke blames himself for not stopping it sooner, you can't deny the fact that it is logical. He is traumatized." She sat up a bit straighter. "For heaven's sake! He was only five!" I flinched and sighed.

"I understand Hahaue...gomen..." I heard my mother sigh and pet my head.

"I should be sorry, anyway...our conversation has made us miss about an hour an a half. It is around six right now." She went to the corner of her room and picked up a backet full of laundry. "I'm going downstairs to do the laundry, I'll be back soon. Everything is in the same place, so help yourself to food." I nodded to her. She smiled and headed out.

I sat indian style on my mother's bed staring out her dresser. It had a mirror which held my reflection. I could feel that Yu-chan was asleep in the Mazoku's domain. I could feel his pain even in sleep. Sighing I stared at my reflection. Yu-chan is just a man....with insecurities. My eyes shone a honey brown with dark brown specks. These were my eyes. I didn't want my eyes...they reminded me of how Takimori said they were beautiful. I shivered but continued to stare at my reflection. "Yu-chan..." I whispered. I was him and he was me. So why did I feel so separated from him? Dammit, I was getting a major headache. Not only from the drinks last night, but from thinking about all this.

Getting up, I walked into the kitchen and opened the drawer under the glass cabinet that held my mom's liquor. I found two asprins. Success! I got a glass of water and downed the two pills. "Ah!" I said as I shook my head. "That should get rid of it." I turned to go back into my mother's room. I jumped when I saw Hiei standing there staring at me. I smiled. "Konnichiwa Hiei-kun." I said. Hiei frowned at me and continued to stare. Okay....seriously freaking me out.

"Raion-chan?" Kurama-tenshi called as he came into the kitchen rubbing his eyes. "Why are you up so early?"

"Bad dreams..." I murmured. I saw Hiei's eyes soften as I shivered. The dreams...Takimori's actions lingered in my mind. I shivered again. We didn't want to remember this! Why are these memories surfacing now?

I jumped when I felt arms around my waist. Hiei looked up at me from my side. I hugged Hiei to my chest and smiled. "Don't worry about last night...you just startled him." Hiei just stood in my embrace. I sighed and stood up looking at Hiei.

"Shall we go out to get breakfast?" Kurama-tenshi asked. I shook my head and walked to the guest room. I laughed as I dragged Hiei, for I was holding his hand.

"Gomen Hiei-kun..." I said and kissed him on a cheek. Hiei blushed slightly and looked at me. I smiled and leaned in to Hiei. "I can feel his emotions Hiei...he loves you..." I kissed his ear before going over to the closet, which held some of Yu-chan's clothes. I heard Kurama-tenshi walk in.

"Did not I tell you?" He said with laughter in his voice. Hiei snorted and I bet he blushed. I stripped down to my boxers as I went through the closet.

"You should really warn us before you do that Raion-chan..." Kurama-tenshi said.

"Why? You're Yu-chan's mates right?" I said looking at them. "Does it matter?"

"I'm Yusuke's mate..." Kurama-tenshi said as he pointed at Hiei. "He has yet to claim our little Toushin." I put my hands on my hips as I turned back to the closet.

"Ah...I see..." I said. My mission is easier...just do as Hahaue said and that should reel them in. Especial if I express Yu-chan's emotions. I giggled. Then Yu-chan will be happy knowing that both demons love him! And that Hiei wants to mate him! "Oh yes! I will do this!" I said to myself.

"Did you say something?" Hiei asked.

"Nothing!" I turned around and bent over looking through the closet. I finally pulled out a pair of slightly loose blue jean pants and a white shirt. I pulled up a short jean jacket and rolled up the sleeves to my elbows. “Ready!” I said turning to them. Kurama-tenshi was smiling at me as Hiei raised an eyebrow.

“You dress like Yusuke too…” Kurama-tenshi said.

“Of course, we are one in the same!” I said with a smile. “So how about I show you the archery range? It is just a few blocks down.”

“Are you sure you can go out? I mean what if Yusuke’s friends…” Kurama-tenshi asked.

“Its fine, Lin met me by accident once, so she knows about me. All of Yusuke’s senseis know about me. So we are in the clear there, but all his friends I’ve seen and know how he acts around them. So no problem!” I grinned. “I guess you guys, Koenma, and Jaxxia are the only ones in the dark.”

“Hn…seems the detectives like to keep secrets.” Hiei said as I headed to the door. I grabbed my cell phone and keys on the way out, well Yusuke’s cell and keys.

“Well…I guess…” I replied and looked as Hiei and Kurama-tenshi both followed me out. We walked down the stairs in silence. I bounced off the last step like the little kid I am. They smiled and grinned at me. I smirked and headed toward the archery range.

“Hn…so what happened to Yusuke after Sensui?” Hiei asked. I paused slightly before resuming walking with them. I was in the middle of them and happily I might add.

“It is complicated to explain. Before Sensui killed Yusuke, he whispered something about Yusuke’s step father. I couldn’t hear because the Mazoku was boiling with anger. I…” I shivered slightly and grabbed my arms, hugging myself. “I was stuck in the dark. It wasn’t until the Mazoku was back under control that I learned what happen. By the time I could hear again, Yusuke and hahaue were talking about him getting his own place.”

“You mean you couldn’t hear for months?” Kurama-tenshi asked. I shook my head.

“No, all I could see was darkness. When the Mazoku got back under control, he spoke with me and kept me sane, but even then it was faint and I barely heard him. Anything Yusuke was hearing, I couldn’t hear.” I said as I let go of myself. I tilted my head up slightly and smiled. “But now everything is alright so I’m happy.”

“Yea…” Hiei murmured and turned his head away. Kurama-tenshi sighed. I grabbed Hiei’s and Kurama-tenshi’s hand and brought them both to my lips and kissed each hand. Kurama-tenshi smiled and hugged me as Hiei took his hand away blushing slightly. I smiled.

“So how far to the range?” Hiei asked in a huff. He snatched his hand back and crossed his arms. I just smiled and walked to a large set of wooden doors that were just ahead.

"This it?" Kurama-tenshi asked.

"Yep!" I said opening the door. Both demons stepped in at my back. I walked forward as the doors closed by themselves. It was like Genkai's home but with an archery range in the back. I walked into the shooting area. A twang signaled that someone just fired an arrow. I looked up to see a man with long, thigh length platinum blonde hair. He has it pulled back into a low ponytail as he wore a pair of hakama's and a haori. Very traditional, I thought as he turned his head, sensing us. He smiled.

"Hello," He said softly.

"You..." Kurama-tenshi's eyes widened.
