Chapter Four: A new life and a tornament

 

"Ha, you must be the new student," Kurama's science teacher said when a young girl with blue-green eyes and firey red hair walked into the classroom, "Mishano, Storm."

"Hai," Storm comfirmed.

"Introduce yourself to the class,"

"Hi my name is Mishano, Storm," Storm said thinking 'I just want to go home.'

"Have a seat next to Minamino-san," the teacher said as Kurama raised his hand.

Storm walked to the sit next to him and the teacher started her lesson. Storm noticed that a lot of the guys were staring at her and whenever the teacher call on her they would stare at her. When the lunch bell rang Storm walked out onto the school grounds. Finding a deserted tree she went at sat down underneath it and pulled out a sketch pad and work on finishing her fallen angel drawing.

"Wow you are really good at drawing," Minamino said as he noticed her drawing.

Storm jumped not hearing him walk up to the tree.

"Sorry I didn't mean to scare you, Mishano," Minamino apoligized.

"It is okay and you can call me Storm, Minamino-san," Storm smiled setting her pencil down.

"Call me, Shuiichi," he smiled back, "So, what do you think of the school so far?"

"It's okay, " Storm answered politely.

"OH!! SHUIICHI-KUN!!!" five girls yelled.

"Great," Shuiichi sighed as they ran up to them.

"Hello Shuiichi," The one with dark hair greeted.

"Hello," Shuiichi greeted politely.

"So, you are the new girl," the same one smirked, "You might want to watch your step."

"Yeah whatever and why don't you leave me alone?" Storm smirked, "Unless you want your pericous hair to be harmed."

"You wouldn't dare," she squeaked.

"Oh...I would," Storm smirked.

The five girls walked away quickly and over her shoulder the one yelled, "This isn't over new girl!"

"Oh, I think it is," Storm smiled to herself.

"Thanks," Shuiichi said to Storm.

"No problem, I sorta know how you feel for at my old school guys stalked me, mobbed me, shall I go on?" Storm smiled.

"That is basically the same problem except with girls," Shuiichi laughed.

The rest of the day went on uneventally. Storm walked to the sidewalk on the north side of school waiting to be picked up by her father's worker. Storm only had to wait a few minutes and then her red mustange convertible pulled up.

"Hello Miss. Mishano," the driver greeted.

"Hello, home please," Storm greeted at the same time answering the question which was on the way.

"Okay," the male driver answered before driving off. After five minutes they pulled up to a small mansion.

"Hey, my dad is suppose to be home tomarrrow to pick me up from school, right?" Storm asked the driver.

"I am sorry but your father called me today and said that he wouldn't be able to until next week," he answered as Storm stepped out of the car, "I will see you tomarrow."

"Alright thank you for taking me to and from school as well as this way and that way," Storm bowed politely, "Bye."

The convertible then sped off towards the garage. Storm sighed and turned around so she could head up two sets of twelve stairs to reach the front door. Her father had reasonly got a new deal to earn more money in Japan so he and Storm moved from the nice home in America to Japan. Her father promised her that he would pick her up after her first day of school in Japan. Seeing that her japanese was excellent no one could guess that she was borned in America. She walked into the large empty house and headed to her room which was on the second floor and blasted the radio and flopped down on her bed and cried. She hated this new life for she left everything she ever wanted the color guard(spining flags). She loved it and now she had to go to a school without it and she already knew that she already hated the school through there was a extremely hot guy there named Shuiichi Minamino and he seemed friendly for he came up and started talking to her. She turned off her music and headed out of the house.

Storm decided that she was going to go to the dark tornament which would be taking place in a few weeks.

When the day came Storm threw on her black cloak and stepped through a portal. She wasn't going to watch the tornament she and her team were in it and she didn't have to show until one of her teammates died in the battle with Team Toguro through they won the battle anyways and they now had to go up against team Urameshi in the final round.

"Welcome everyone for the final battle! Team Urameshi vs Team Meshin. This is Koto and lets hope this battle will be bloodly!" Koto the fox said as Storm arrived behind the doors where the rest of her team was waiting. Team Meshin is made up of all girls Miaka, Lea, Rose, Sara, and Storm. Miaka had dark brown hair with a light skin tone with chocolately brown eyes. Lea Meshin had black angel wings with long black hair and gold eyes. Rose's cat form had light brown ears with brown hair and bright green eyes. Sara has blue hair and pink eyes with fair skin.

"Team Urameshi please enter the stadium!" Koto instructed, "And will the all girl team, Team Meshin please enter.

The doors open and the five girls steped through. Apon entering the girls heard a lot whistling and cat calls. Storm had removed her cloak and was wearing a tie behind her neck pink midrift showing shirt and dark blue shorts and her firey red hair was tie up into a high ponytail.

"Team leaders will you please step foward," Koto said with Yuske Urameshi and Lea Meshin step foward nodded to each other and stepped back.

The rest of the teams went back to the edge of the ring. It is now that Storm noticed Shuiichi standing on the side for Team Urameshi. Storm was shocked she looked away from him and to the match which was Rose and Kuwabara. Kuwabara lost the match because Rose knocked him out in the first ten seconds.

"That was easy," Rose smirked as Sara stepped foward to face Hiei.

Sara had Hiei on his toes until he used the dragon of the darkness flame only to have it throwned back at him. Everyone through the battle was over until Hiei appeared out of no where slicing Sara in half.

"Sara!" Storm yelled as she watched one of her best friends die that was two in three days.

Storm and Shuiichi stepped up. "This will be an interesting battle it is fox vs fox! Kurama vs Storm! You may begin," Koto yelled.

"I thought you said your name was Shuiichi," Storm spoke as Kurama just looked at her.

"That is my name it is just that I happened to Youko Kurama in a human form," Kurama said before drawing his weapon, "Rose whip!"

'Youko!!!!! Oh my god! I am facing Youko!' Storm thought as she quickly dodge his attacks. Evenually Storm slipped and three of his attacks hit her. She had three deep gashes, one on her back another on her lower right leg and one across her stomach.

'Shit..Shit...Shit' she thought panting. Kurama's attacks let up he seemed more interested finding out her powers then getting this battle over right away, 'I need to transform....' A flash of white energy surrounded her blocking her from view of the crowd and everyone for that matter. When the light faded it Star was standing in Storm's placed. Star's right hand gripping her sword that once belong to Youko's partner, Kuronue.

"Star..." Kurama managed after a few seconds.

"The one and only," Star teased, "Silver baka we do want to finish this battle before nightfall."

"Whatever you say foxy," Kurama smirked charging at her.

Star was faster than Kurama in his human form but he had always been stronger than her and was able to knock her out after a few minutes. Kurama hitted her with such force that she went flying into the wall of the ring.

The rest of team Meshin lost making team Urameshi the winners of the dark tornament. The only ones alive on that team are Rose and Storm who remained knocked out until the end of the tornament. Storm and Rose left the arena and imediately ran into team Urameshi and their friends.

"Hello Star," Kurama greeted.

"Oh, hello silver baka," Storm said mocklingly.

"You still haven't forgotten that stupid nickname," Kurama whined.

"Oh, of course not," Storm smiled.

Rose hissed at Kuwabara for getting to close to her. "AH!!! Scary kitty," Kuwabara yelled.

Star started laughing at this and decided that she would teased Kuwabara, "Oh, poor human afraid of a little kitty."

Yuske and the others were amused by this and started laughing. Star relaxed and looked off into the sky she still trusted Youko and knew that she was safe around them. Star sighed and walked into the woods knowing that she was going to be followed. She was going to plant a rose tree in honor of her friends deaths. She summoned a seed out of mid air and in the clearing of which Toguro killed Genkai a rose tree sprouted out of the ground.

"Wow..." Star heard the girls from behind her say.

"Stupid tornament," Star growled.

"Storm," Koenma started. "I want nothing to do with your spirit detectives, missions, or you," Storm growled, "They killed my best friends even if it is a stupid tornament and they didn't know me, I know....but.....there has been too my deaths of those close to me for me to care what you have to say."

Koenma sighed and stepped back this fox female was going to be hard to get through.

"Oh Rose," Storm started, "I talked to my human father and he doesn't care if you live with me."

"Yes!" Rose said before hiding her demon form. Rose's human form was very interesting she had long flowing pink hair hair and bright blue eyes. Rose had a particually crazy personatily, she was extremely hyper all time.

Storm and Rose looked at the tree before turning their attention back to the others. Storm noticed that Hiei was staring at her through she couldn't understand why. A girl with blue-green hair and crismon eyes walked up to her and said, "I think I have met you before in demon world."

"Yukina right?" Storm asked.

"Yes," Yukina confirmed, "You helped me escape from a group of bat demons and helped me to the human world. I never got to thank you properly."

"Oh..its no big deal....I was just being nice," Storm said waving her hand.

"Well thank you. It has been what fifteen years?" Yukina asked.

"Well the last day I saw you I took my human form thingie so yeah a little more than 15 years," Storm smiled happy to see Yukina again, "Ever find your brother?" when Storm asked this she noticed Hiei tense.

"No but I sure his is alive," Yukina sighed sadly.

"I am SURE he is near....I don't think he would leave you unprotected. He is probably just to shy or worried that you wouldn't want him as a brother to tell you," Storm smiled right on target for she knew Hiei was Yukina's brother yet he wouldn't tell her.

'Tell her and I will kill you,' Hiei growled at Storm telepathically.

"Do you know where he is?" Yukina asked.

"I am sorry...I couldn't tell you for I have no clue....." Storm lied.

"Oh...okay," Yukina sighed.

Storm smiled gently turned away. She wanted out of this life because so far it has been hell. Everyone around her dies by bat demons they are still after her years later and Storm is constantly pushing people away from her to protect them.

"I am sorry but I can't hang around you for much longer it isn't safe," Storm announed after a few minutes of silence.

Yukina then asked, "They are still after you aren't they? The bat demons I mean."

Storm sighed before answering quietly, "Yes that is why I only really hang out with Rose because I know that they can't hurt her."

"What?? We win the dark tornament and you think that they will hurt us?" Yuske started before Storm cut him off, "No Yuske I am worried that they will go after Keiko, Shizuru, Yukina, and Botan!"

Storm turned away and walked off her part of her heart telling her to apoligize and the other telling her that it is the only way to protect them. Rose followed her silently waiting for the right moment to speak.

Back with the other Koenma was the first to speak, "What is Storm's last name?"

"Mishano, why?" Kurama answered.

"Mishano? Then isn't Storm a miko? Or is it angel?" Botan asked Koenma.

"For sure a miko but I am not sure if the is angelic blood in the her, so I need you to gather as much information on her background, Botan," Koenma explained.

"All right I am on it!" Botan exclaimed summoning her ore and taking off into the sky obviously heading to spirit world.
