Challenge Fic


The Beginning


GUN!"
large boulder that had been sitting passivly behind the demon minion disintegrated into rubble when said minion leapt out of the way of the glowing orb of rei energy the teen detective shot his way.
the way, Urameshi! SPIRIT SWORD, GET LONG!" a gruff looking redhead ordered.
sidekick pushed the rei gun weilding teen from his side and immediately darted his chrome energy at the opposing demon. Though he was far too slow, the abnormal being expertly avoided the blow. It gave a mocking laugh and spring from the ground to land gracefully on the length of the glowing sword.
the energy like a tightrope, the being sauntered across it, four sets of eyes glued to its every move, paralyzed with shock. Even the stoic red blazen orbs of the fire demon, whose own katana was unsheathed and held in a determined grip.
was the fire apparition that was first to recover from the demeaning act of gawking. Blurred in the sight of a human eye, the fire demon swooped in and swung his katana in effort to end the imposing being's life. His movements were silent, smooth and swift, but lacked the needed results. The enemy once again took to the air with a skillful leap and landed soundlessly behind the waiting fox demon.
hesitation, the kitsune spun around, his right arm shooting out in a thrusting motion as writhing green vines snaked their way out of the cuff of his fuschia colored sleeve. The manipulated plants shot toward the enemy with accurate aim, but came up short when the other demon used a blast of green energy to disintegrate the botanous projectiles. Cursing under his breath, the emerald eyed fox watched as the opposition leapt away <i>again</i> with a malicious grin on its face.
it! Why doesn't this fucker stay put?!" The dark haired teen growled, once again blasting away an innocent stone structure by mistake.
one bothered to answer, the targeted being took this opportune moment to stand before the heavily breathing Renkai Tentai. A slender hand rose to cover its thin lips and an almost feminine chuckle escaped them.
up now, filthy degenerates!" He pushed a lock of lengthy gold hair from his face, revealing soft blue eyes and milky white skin that remained unmarred despite the onward battle, "Henka shall spare your lives if you do so...and give you much needed help." His voice was awkwardly easy on the ears.
you he-she thing, the only way you can help us is by makin' this easy on yourself and come with us or we can continue the difficult route." the group leader nearly barked out and poised his finger ready to take another shot.
chuckled again, mirth lighting his sea blue gaze. "You bore me, lets play another game." He skipped in soundless merry in front of the astonished groups.
this guy is creepin' me out." The tallest of the bunch mumbled, his eyes never leaving the dancing demon.
boy named Urameshi nodded in silent agreement, his gaze remained glued to the scene, suprisingly, the dance wasn't that bad... actually not bad at all. Henka spun in fluid circles around the Spirit team, his chuckles lighting every step.
almost didn't want the demon to stop dancing, but things were just getting out of hand, 'What the hell is this thing trying to do anyway?' The sober thought seem to put enough sense into him to give a much needed comment.
can get a tutu in the afterlife, pal!" His finger poised once again, "Spirit Gun!"
again, the team was pelted by bits of debris as Yusuke's blast sent another hapless rock into oblivion.
you cut it out, already, Urameshi?!"
you're obviously never going to hit him, detective. I suggest you give it a rest."
shut up!" The detective nearly pouted at his own ineffectiveness.
to the side, Kurama couldn't help but chuckle in amusement. This demon was certainly a tricky devil, but even so, it was not a reason to lose focus on the objective here. The Reikai wanted this Henka brought in, so that was what they needed to do.
this mission would go alot smoother, Yusuke, if we didn't act so hastily." The kitsune suggested, earning himself a particularly nasty glare from his fearless, if not very bright, leader.

maybe not... carry on then."
this time, Henka had already resumed his dancing, causing the Reikai team to roll their eyes at the antics. This was beginning to get tiresome. And then, the dancing demon did something that shocked each and every member into stunned paralysis. In a movement so fast that he resembled nothing but a golden streak, Henka was suddenly standing in front of Yusuke, so close that the dark haired youth's eyes widened in surprise. Before he could even comprehend what was happening, Henka leaned down, his lips falling on the smooth skin of the teen's cheek before lifting to the shell of his ear.
sweetness and light, your heart shall take flight.... Botan."
just as quickly as he had appeared, the demon was gone, twirling away, leaving only a dumbfounded look mixed with a bit of disgust on the teen's face. He reappeared quickly enough, this time in front of the taller, orange haired teen. A sound somewhat similar to a startled squeak emerged from the gruff looking young man.
a soft kiss to the taller teen's cheek proved to be a bit more difficult, but it was accomplished all the same, earning the demon a soft whimper of protest from Kuwabara's throat. Chuckling, Henka whispered into his ear, "Ice and Light, I bring your delight...Yukina." And once again flitted away. It was when the demon danced up to Hiei that it dawned upon the foursome that they <i>had </i> to be under some sort of binding spell. There was just no way in <i>hell </i> any of them would simply stand there and allow the demon to do this to them.
as nails, but soft as tails, brings light to the flames of darkness....Shizuru."

Hiei's reaction to the demon's words was surprisingly similar to the other two. Confusion and disgust was clearly written upon the fire demon's face. Kurama's face remained calm when it eventually came his turn to recieve the psychotic demon's strange attentions. His green eyes assessing the situation and trying to figure out what game the giggling being was playing. Eyes narrowed as he endured the coming kiss, but his brows too furrowed in confused surprise as he heard what was whispered oh so seductively into his ear.

"Pure and stern, but never to burn, an innocent light to make roses bloom... Keiko."
those final words and actions, Henka swept from the clearing in which the battle (if it could be called such) had taken place in. As soon as the demon had disappeared from sight, the invisible force holding the Tentei still released them, leaving the four boys to stare at one another in varying degrees of consternation.
the <i>hell </i> had just happened?
the fuck was that all about?!" The sound of Yusuke Urameshi's angry voice seemed to startle the other three from their dazed states.
he just <i>kiss </i> me?" Kuwabara's voice matched his expression, having disentegrated into a look of pure disgust.
as Urameshi put it so well earlier...that he-she thing kissed...all of us."

Kurama remained silent, too lost in thought to even comment. Why had the demon said such a thing to him, surely it couldn't have meant what he thought it meant.
'Pure and stern, but never to burn, an innocent light to make roses bloom... Keiko.'</ i> It repeated over and over in his mind, no sooner did he hear the amused chuckle of his hosted fox spirit.
ignored the fox, instead focusing on what had just occured... Well, the demon had gotten away, for one thing. For another, everyone was completely baffled by what the demon had said to each of them. Though he hadn't heard what it had said to the others, Kurama had a sneaking suspicion that it was something like what was said to him.
looked around blankly, still not completely focused due to the cursed mantra that repeated in his thoughts, "Where did he go?" His voice was low but the others heard him clear, though they weren't eqiupped with efficient answers either.

The group of four spun in pointless circles, trying to spot the seemingly homosexual demon, they didn't want any other sneak attacks similar to the most recent one. Unfortunately the demon, Henka, had other ideas. A high-pitched giggle assualted the air and everyone looked up to the cavern ceiling, only to catch a glimpse of the opposing demon descending upon them like a hawk swooping in for its meal.
move," Yusuke smirked, his finger pointed upward; the others thinking along the same lines had their weapons weilded.
expression became grim, finally realizing his fun was over....for now, he squeezed his eyes shut waiting for the blow.
blast of rei energy hit the mischevious demon head on, knocking him back against the ceiling with a resounding thump. Two distinct hissing sounds rang through the air as a whip-like vine snaked up to wrap around the demon's ankles as the long shaft of shining energy from Kuwabara's sword wrapped itself around the slender form. Trapped, Henka could only glare down at the ones responsible for disrupting his fun.
sighed, feeling like a heavy weight had been lifted off his shoulders, "Kuwabara you carry the twerp." he ordered as if telling him to bring in the groceries, he stuffed his hands in his pocket and started out of the cave exit.
me?!?" The sidekick whined.
do what he says, Baka," The fire demon tossed over his shoulder following their leader out, "If you have so much strength why not use it?" He mocked.
gave an audible growl that was cut short by the seemingly distant kitsune, "I don't mind taking him since it's too much trouble."
orange haired brute grinned and patted Kurama on the back, "I always liked you." He quickly followed behind his other comrades, leaving Kurama behind with the now sobbing demon.
on, Kurama," Yusuke called. The fox complied in a steady pace, Henka pulled behind him by the sturdy rose whip that was wrapped securely around his legs; every few feet he whimpered.

weary team arrived in Spirit World none too soon, all four members immediately voicing various excuses to leave as they abandoned their quarry at the foot of Prince Koenma's desk. The pint sized ruler blinked at their retreat. It had happened so quickly that he hadn't been able to voice a word to inquire how the mission went. Shrugging it off, Koenma calling for his ever faithful assistant.

sir, Koenma-sama, sir?" The blue ogre grovelled as he entered the room. Upon spying the bound demon, George sent his boss an alarmed look.
Koenma sat back down behind his desk and began stamping documents. "Yes, George, I know exactly what sort of demon he is." He said, answering the ogre's silent question. "That's why I'm thankful Kurama took the time to tie him up." Suddenly, a thought came to the tiny prince. "Darn it, I didn't even get to ask Yusuke if Henka did any sort of peculiar dancing while they were catching him. Hmm...oh well." Shrugging it away, ordered that the demon be taken into custody until his hearing before sitting back and returning to his mountain of paperwork.

) Must include one random act of violence towards any household appliance - stove, dishwasher, blender, etc.

) Keiko complaining that Kurama's "admirers" seem more like stalkers to her.

) Yukina(Kuwabara) having bully problems...

) An awkward moment between one of the couples while they are still switched.

) Guy must walk in on the girl who is in his body while they are changing.

) Someone comments on how the girls fight better than the guys do.

Kurama is just waking up but in Keiko's body...her body id in the shower and Yusuke can wake on the broom Kuwa on a tree and Hiei in some girl room who was sleeping (Hiei doesn't normally sleep but Shizuru does alot)


everyone but Hiei would have gone to sleep that night and one the girls side Kei would have already awoken and gotten the shower thus Kura finding himself there and Botan would have been doing her errands on the broom thus Yus finding himself there



Yukina was sleeping in a tree in the Makai and Kuwa finds himself there



And lastly Hiei who was minding his own damn business find his cosciousness transported to darkness which would have been closed eyes in Shizuru
