Short little song fic, based on the song Tell Laura I Love Her by Ray Paterson (one of my favorite songs), from the '60s.

Tell Keiko I Love Her

Keiko and Yusuke were lovers,

He wanted to give her every thing:

Flowers, presents and most of all a wedding ring

He saw a sign for the Dark Tournament

A fluffy puppy prize it raised

He couldn't get Keiko on the phone,

So to Shizuru Yusuke said:

Tell Keiko I love her,

Tell Keiko I need her,

Tell Keiko I will be late

I have a fight with a youkai

That cannot wait

He took his Poo to the arena,

He was the only ningen there

And the crowd roared

As they started the fight

On the stage they fought

At a deadly pace

No one knows what happened that day

How his raygun missed its aim

But as they pulled him from under the dead youkai

With his dying breath they heard him say:

Tell Keiko I love her,

Tell Keiko I need her,

Tell Keiko not to cry,

My love for her will never die…

And in the temple, where Keiko prayed

For her Yusuke who passed away (again)

It was just for Keiko he fought and died

Alone in the temple, she could hear him cry:

Tell Keiko I love her,

Tell Keiko I need her,

Tell Keiko not to cry,

My love for her will never die…

Koenma (puts his arm around Keiko's shoulder): Don't worry, he'll be back!
