Chapter 1 You Ask Me Why I Change The Color Of My Hair

A/N: Hey all I know this sounds a little strange but it's just for fun. I got the idea for this story listening to a song called `That's What Girls Do! (Got It Boys!), so this is going to be pretty crazy. Don't own the song or YuYu so there. Any way please review and hope you enjoy.

 

 

Two girls hiked their way up the many shrine steps to a hidden temple. Both girls looked the same the only way you could tell them apart was their eyes. The slightly taller girl had silver cat eyes and the other had gold cat eyes. Yes as you guessed they're not quite human.

 

Reaching the top of the stairs they proceeded to the front door of the house that resided there. Knocking on it they then hear noises from with in indicating that someone was there and was coming to answer the door. The door opened to reveal a very short old woman with graying pink hair.

 

“Yes may I help you girls?” The old lady asked.

 

“Does Genki live here?” The gold-eyed girl asked.

 

“I'm she but may I ask why you're looking for me?” Genki questioned.

 

“You have a sister named Amaya right?” The silver-eyed girl asked.

 

“Yes why?” Genki stated and asked.

 

“Aunt Genki we found you!” They both called happy and kind of loud.

 

“Huh?” Genki didn't know here baby sister had any kids.

 

“We're Amaya's grand daughters.” The gold-eye one stated.

 

“Yes I figured as much but I didn't know my sister had any children let alone grand children, but then again I haven't talked to her in 55 years.” Genki stated.

 

“Well may we come in we have news?” The girl with silver eyes asked.

 

“Yes come in.” Genki lead them in and to her living room.

 

They all took a seat the girls on a small couch Genki in an armchair.

 

“Well you see we're here because grandma died a few years back and in the past week mom died in a fire along with our father.” The silver-eyed girl stated in an emotionless tone. (She always talks that way.)

“I see so that means you have no other living relatives am I right?” Genki asked.

 

“Yes and being our house is gone we'd hate to bother you but might we stay here?” The gold-eyed girl asked in a more lively voice then her sister but just as calm. (Yes she always talks like that also.)

 

“Well you are family an I'm not one to turn away family you can stay as long as you need. I also assume the both of you are still in school.” Genki stated.

 

“Yes and we have to enroll in a new one.” The silver-eyed one stated.

 

“Alright I'll take care of that. So do you both have names?” Genki stated then asked.

 

“Oh yes I'm Amilee.” The gold-eyed one stated.

 

“And I'm Jubilee.” The silver-eyed one stated.

 

“Alright come with me and I'll show you your rooms.” Genki stated getting up and heading down a hallway.

 

She came to a stop between two doors one on each side of the hall.

 

“These will be your rooms so you can decide who will have which one.” Genki said walking away she had some things to do.

 

The girls both went to a different door Amilee taking the one on the right and Jubilee taking the one on the left.

 

“I got my room.” They both called walking back out.

 

“Ok now what are we gonna do?” Amilee asked.

 

“I don't know Ami why do you always ask me? Oooo hey some one is coming how bout we go mess around with them?” Jubilee asked.

 

“Sure that should be fun.” Ami agreed taking Jubilee hand and running outside.

 

 

Outside a group of people were walking up the shrine steps consisting of a blue haired girl, a boy with brown almost black hair slicked back, a short boy with spiky black hair, a boy with long red hair, a boy with orange hair, and a girl with kind of short brown hair. At the top they proceeded to cross the temple's courtyard.

 

The girls were hanging around in the trees; literally, they were hanging by their legs. They watched the group as they reached the center of the courtyard. The girls pointed their fingers aiming for the groups' feet and then fired, Jubilee shooting tiny fire balls, and Ami shooting little ice balls. Their hair color changed temporally in the process. Jubilee's turning fire red, and Ami's turning ice blue. The fire caught three pairs of shoes on fire while the ice froze the other three pairs to the ground.

 

“WHAT THE HELL!!” The boy with his hair slicked back shouted trying to put out his shoes.

 

“Ow!” The boy with long red hair cried trying to put out his shoes also.

 

“Hn.” The boy with spiky hair growled and just quickly put it out.

 

“Huh?” Both the girls looked down at their feet as they found they couldn't move them finding them frozen to the ground.

 

“What the?” The orange hair one struggled like the girls trying to free his feet but to no avail.

 

The girls then giggled softly in the trees, but someone heard them. The boy with spiky hair just about literally disappeared and then reappeared in front of the group he was with, with the girls in hand by the backs of their shirts.

 

“Hey let us go short stuff!!” Both girls cried angry.

 

“So are you the ones that did this?” The boy with red hair asked.

 

“So what if we are? Bye!” Both said at the same time again just making their clothing phase through the spiky haired one's hands.

 

“Wait you're not human are you?” The boy with orange hair asked.

 

“Yes we are or half at least.” Jubilee stated.

 

“You're hanyous those are pretty rare.” The girl with blue hair stated.

 

“And we're twins that's makes us even more rare, but to be technical we're not demons we're witches.” Ami stated.

 

“To be more specific we're Psychic Elemental Animal Witches.” Jubilee stated. (Yes I know you don't know what I'm talking about I'll explain later on.)

 

“So what are you two doing here do you know Genki?” The boy with long red hair asked.

 

“Yeah we know Aunt Genki we're living here now.” Ami stated.

 

“Her sister is our Grandma.” Jubilee stated.

 

Just about everyone's jaw dropped, excluding the spiky haired one as the only one's who didn't but his eye got big temporally.

 

“You mean grandma's actually got relatives.” The one with slicked back hair stated with a laugh as though he couldn't believe it.

 

“Yusuke!” The girl with brown hair walloped him in the back of the head hard making him hit the ground face first.

 

“Hey Keiko what'd you do that for?!” Yusuke yelled at her and so started one of their usual arguments.

 

“I take it that's a usual thing for those two?” Jubilee asked.

 

“Yeah they're always going at it.” The orange hair guy said.

 

“Be quiet fool.” The short spiky hair guy said annoyed.

 

“What'd you say shrimp?” the orange hair guy was mad and so started one of their usual arguments.

 

“Well nothing like a good argument to show some one you care.” The blue haired girl laughed nervously.

 

“Yeah sure.” Jubilee said and the only four who weren't fighting started laughing.

 

“Well if it isn't my favorite dimwit and his friends.” Genki said stepping into the courtyard with another blue hair girl this one was short like the spiky hair guy.

 

“Hello everyone.” The Blue haired girl chimed.

 

“Hi Yukina!” The orange hair one quit arguing and zoomed over to her.

 

“Hello Kazuma.” Yukina said with a small smile.

 

“Take it normal for them too.” Both Jubilee and Ami said at the same time.

 

“Yes.” The red haired one stated.

 

“Botan I have some thing to ask you.” Genki stated and the taller blue haired girl walked over quickly.

 

“Ok we know everyone's names except for you red, and spiky.” Jubilee stated.

 

“I'm Kurama.” He said.

 

“I'm Jubilee you may call me Jube.” Jubilee stated.

 

“I'm Amilee you can call me Ami.” Ami stated.

 

“Nice to meet you both.” Kurama stated.

 

“Yeah I don't think Hiei's gonna say anything.” Yusuke stated.

 

“Hn.” Was all that came from Hiei.

 

“So how did you both end up staying with Genki?” Keiko asked.

 

“Well she's the only family we have left.” Jube stated.

 

“Our mom and dad died in a fire.” Ami stated.

 

“Oh I'm sorry.” Keiko said.

 

“That's ok you didn't know.” The both said at the same time.

 

“Ok that's getting creepy.” Yusuke said.

 

“What's getting creepy?” The both asked at the same time.

 

“That is.” Yusuke stated.

 

“One who won't shut up.” Ami started.

 

“Why not zip his mouth up.” Jube finished.

 

Yusuke's mouth turned in to a zipper and zipped shut. At first everyone was shocked then Kuwabara, Keiko, and Kurama started laughing Hiei just smirked.

 

“Never mess with a witch. Especially twitches.” They both said with a smirk, winking and kissing their middle and pointer finger and motioning like they're blowing a kiss but with out the blowing.

 

“Ok girls that's enough although I do like it when Yusuke is quite. Please get rid of the zipper.” Genki stated reentering the courtyard with Botan.

 

“Oh ok.” They both agreed.

 

“Zipper upon his face.” Ami started.

 

“Remove yourself from that place.” Jube finished.

 

The zipper disappeared letting Yusuke's mouth free.

 

“Girls I assume you have no clothing or other things you may need so here take this money. And would the rest of you take them to the shopping district.” Genki stated before entering her home again leaving everyone out side.

 

“Yay!!! Shopping!!” Both girls jump up in the air shouting happily. (yes the girls are shopping fanatics.)

 

“Come on everyone might as well go now.” Botan stated.

 

“Yukina do you wanna come?” Keiko asked the smaller girl.

 

“Yes I would.” Walking over to the group and following everyone down the stairs.

 

 

They walked the streets of the shopping district as the twins looked for a specific type of shop. The girls looked back and forth between all the shops then spotted what they were looking for and dashed inside. The others walked over to the shop and read the sign `Dark Side'. (Ok that's the best I could come up with but basically it's Hot Topic style. It was either that or Black Cat and Dark Side is cooler.)

 

The others walked in and were hit with dark sounding rock music. They slipped over to where the girls were and saw them picking up various articles of clothing.

 

“Oh hey Keiko this would look great on you.” Jube said grabbing something and pulling her to the dressing room.

 

A few minutes later Jube and Keiko walked out Keiko hesitated though. Jube just grabbed her wrist and pulled her out. Keiko wore a black knit ruffle layer mini skirt with a blue and burgundy brocade corset. Yusuke's eyes just about popped out of his head. Everyone else their mouths dropped except for Hiei and Ami, though Hiei's eyes grew wide for a second. They never saw Keiko in such an outfit before.

 

“Oh Yukina come here.” Ami said pulling Yukina into the dressing room next with items in hand.

 

A few minutes later they came out Yukina didn't hesitate but walked out slowly. She wore a black mid drift form fitting t-shirt that read `Cute but Deadly' cute in soft pink and deadly in dipping bloody letters and a pink red and black plaid pleated mini. Hiei just about fainted seeing his sister in such clothing. Kuwabara on the other hand was almost drooling. Everyone else was shocked except Jube.

 

“Ok now our turn.” Jube and Ami said at the same time grabbing some things then scurrying into the dressing room.

 

(Yes the twins are wearing old school uniform is blue white and gray knee length pleated skirt with a long sleeve button down blouse and a matching blue tie.)

 

Ami walked out first wearing long tight black flare pants with assorted zippers and chains, with a ripped mid drift t-shirt that says ` My Bad Attitude Is None Of Your Flipping Business' in light blue letters that looked like ice. Then Jube walked out wearing an ankle length black skirt slit up to mid thigh in the front and back then 2 inches higher on the sides with assorted zippers and chains, for a shirt it was the same cut t as Ami but it said `I Didn't Forget I Just Don't Care' in red dipping letters.

 

“Oh no we forgot Botan.” Ami stated.

 

“No that's ok..” Botan was cute off by Jube.

 

“I got just the thing.” Jube said grabbing Botan's hand and a few articles of clothing and dragging her into the dressing room.

 

A few minutes later Jube pulled a very shy Botan out. Botan sported a black military tube top with a distressed olive button camouflage mini. The reactions were the same as with everyone else.

 

“You three should definitely buy those outfits along with a few accessories.” The twins both stated.

 

“You really think?” Botan, Keiko, and Yukina all questioned.

 

“Yeah they look great on you.” The twins said.

 

The twins both went over to the accessories and grabbed a few things. Coming back over they gave each girl a couple of items. They gave Keiko black puffy heart earrings, black fingerless fishnet gloves, black bow fishnet thigh highs, and a black puffy heart ceramic necklace. Then gave Yukina black, pink, and red rubber bracelets and rings, black pink and red hair ribbons, a heart cut razor blade pendant necklace, black, pink, and red pinstripe knee high socks. Then for Botan they gave her star and lightning bolt earring and a matching necklace, black and camouflage rubber bands for her hair, and black thigh highs.

 

“These will go perfectly with your new outfits.” The twins chimed.

 

“Thank you.” The girls all said as the took the items handed to them

 

“Come on Jube lets pick out some more stuff for ourselves before we leave.” Ami stated.

 

“Right.” Jube agreed and they both went rummaging through the racks again grabbing various items.

 

They then purchased the items and they all left the store the girls all snagging a bench out side and switching their new socks and jewelry for their old items. Jube slipped on a pair of black fishnet thigh highs with a red stripe on the top of them, then put on her jewelry consisting of a leather choker that snapped in the back and was held together in the front by a dark metal ring with the same metal hanging from it with spikes around a blood red ruby heart shaped gem, with a pair of matching earrings. Then she slipped her studded Mary Jane skimmers with two straps and buckles back on. Ami slipped on a pair of black socks that had blue frozen angel wings on them. Then she slipped on the same necklace and earring as her sister only they were like ice blue sapphires. Then slipped her black and ice blue trim skimmers, no not Mary Jane's just skimmer flats. They both also wore metal bangles that matched their chokers.

 

They then all got something to eat then proceeded back to Genki's. On the way back the twins stopped dead in their tracks. They saw something with their future sight. What ever it was was coming after them and the ones they walked with.

 

“Hey girls what's wrong?” Botan asked waving a hand in front of their faces.

 

“They're coming.” Was all that came from their mouths.

 

The something appeared in front of the group a cloud of dark purple smoke. The smoke slowly receded to reveal two people a man and a woman.

 

“What the hell are you both doing here.” The twins hissed.

 

“Is that any way to treat your aunt and uncle.” The woman stated.

 

“We'll treat ya that way if we damn well please you killed our parents.” The twins said calmly.

 

“Now we're back to finish the job. You think we wouldn't be able to find you just by changing your hair color?” The man asked.

 

“Well it worked for a little while didn't it?” They both asked.

 

“Not really.” The woman stated.

 

“Hair that is now black, turn back.” The man called.

 

Jube's hair faded from black to a deep crimson that was close to black. Then Ami's hair faded to a cold light blue that was almost white.

 

“Suppose you're going to try and kill us now?” The twins both asked very calm.

 

“That was the plan and hell we'll kill your friends too.” The man stated.

 

“No you won't.” The twins stated taking their favorite fighting stance. They turned facing each other, Jube was the left and Ami on the right if you were behind them which the group was, Jube placed her right hand on Ami's left shoulder and Ami placed her left hand on Jube's right shoulder They then took their other hand and put it in front of their chest and concentrated. Then whipped their hand out toward their aunt and uncle firing, Jube shot a stream of fire and Ami shot a stream of ice. The fire and ice combined on contact and exploded. Sending the targets flying around 30 feet down the street.

 

(Oh and I know you've gotta be wondering about the pedestrians. Well they're in a deserted area on the edge of town before the should reach the road to Genki's.)

 

“You stupid little bitches!” Both the man and woman yelled jumping off the ground to a standing position and then they both knelt quickly waving their hands over the ground.

 

The ground then began to shake and crack, the group tried to keep their footing but was failing. Then dirt rose from the cracked concrete and took the shape of people. Then the dirt figures charged the group. The twins didn't move fast enough and got hit sending them both spiraling into a wall one on each side of the street. The boys jumped to their feet and took their usual fighting stances and attacked the dirt forms.

 

The twins go up slowly and their bodies changed shape taking the forms of animals. Ami took the shape of a fox her fur the same color as her hair and a frosty air emitting from her body. Jube taking the form of a tiger flames surrounding her feet tail and neck. The two charged the their aunt and uncle pinning them to the ground and taking a bite out of their torsos.

 

“Aaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!!” The man and woman both screamed in pain.

 

“We'll be back!” The man screamed after they pushed the tiger and fox of them and got up, then took off in the purple cloud of smoke.

 

The dirt figures then collapsed and blew away. The twins then shifted back to their human forms and walked back over to the group. Wiping the blood from their mouths as they walked. Botan, Keiko, and Yukina came out from and alley where they were hiding.

 

“So why do they want to kill you?” Yusuke asked.

 

“The witches coven hates half breeds and being we were born of a psychic and elemental witch we're stronger then most witches. They want to get rid of us for that reason believing we will come to over power them one day. But being we're not well trained with our powers we're not as powerful as they think.” The twins explained speaking in unison.

 

“So you've been running from them all your lives huh?” Botan asked.

 

“Yes and we're tired of it we want to stop.” Ami stated with sad eyes.

 

“But it never will we have to keep fighting back to sustain our lives. This is just becoming a hopeless battle now.” Jube stated just as emotionless as ever.

 

“No it's not you can't give up just because someone wants you dead.” Keiko stated.

 

“Keiko's right if the four of us would have given up on our lives we wouldn't have met you two so we can help you.” Yusuke said.

 

“Bingo! He actually said something useful for a change.” Botan stated.

 

Kurama nodded along with Kuwabara Hiei just stood silent. The twins nodded softly in agreement. And they all headed back to the shrine.

 

In the days to come Genki trained them in their psychic powers with in the next 2 weeks they were over half way done with the training. They were able to use their spirit energy to balance on a spike easily along with multiple other things.
