¡°Okay, now I¡¯m confused, what¡¯s going on?¡± Koenma asked.
¡°So this is the 4 famous champion spirit detectives of the dark tournament. I thought they¡¯d be a bit¡­..different and smarter looking.¡± Sakura sneered.
¡°What did you just say?¡± shouted Yusuke.
¡°Clam down Sakura, lets get this cleared up first.¡± Said Rika, she turned to Koenma
¡°So Koenma, if I¡¯m correct, you being as smart as you are probably wouldn¡¯t have made them attack us. Let me guess, you didn¡¯t show them pictures of us or tell them who we are before they attempted to ¡°invite¡± us over.¡±
Koenma sweat dropped [Hit a sore spot didn¡¯t she]
¡°Eh heh, well you see, since you both took so long, I thought you got into some sorta trouble so I sent them to get you, but they ran out so fast that I didn¡¯t have time to give them details about you.¡±
Sakura snorted ¡°Nice excuse brat, just admit you forgot.¡±
Why don¡¯t we just put this behind us and start over?¡± Koenma asked ¡°As I was saying, Sakura and Rika are the 2 new Spirit detectives. Sakura is a water and ice demon, Rika is a fire and illusion. I hope you guys get along cuz you¡¯ll be working together from now on.¡±
¡°Cool, the more the better, but Koenma, I thought you said the main reason we¡¯re suppose to find them is¡­..¡± Yusuke was stopped when he was hit in the face with Koenma¡¯s high flying kick.
¡°What was that for?!¡± Yelled Yusuke with a shoe print on his face. Koenma ignored him and turned to the girls.
¡°Can you both wait outside for me, there¡¯s some other things I wanted to talk to the boys about, privately.¡±
¡°Sure.¡±Said Rika and both of them walked out the door. Once they were gone, the young king turned to Yusuke angrily ¡°Thanks Yusuke, you almost got us killed.¡±
¡°You¡¯re the one who kicked me!¡±yell Yusuke with vine popping outta his head. Koenma sighed and turned to Kurama who was silently chuckling behind them.
¡°I suppose you know what¡¯s going on Kurama.:
¡°I suppose. You don¡¯t want them to know the reason you want them in our team was to have us find them the treasures wielder. The legend of the Ice heart and the Dark night is that they¡¯re the keys to balance the 3 worlds born within 2 chosen females. At a reached age, the jewels can grow destructive so a mate is chosen by the female to sustain its dark powers. But if the wrong mate is chosen, or a male tries to obtain the jewels without the females will, the jewels will activate its power in which destroying all 3 worlds.¡± Said Kurama calmly.
¡°That¡¯s right, Rika and Sakura has reached the age where a mate is needed to tame the jewels. But it¡¯s not that easy you see, both Sakura and Rika don¡¯t want a mate, they think they can protect it from other people trying to get their hands on it by themselves. If they¡¯re only willing to find the 2 chosen male, then they don¡¯t have to get attacked but noooo, they like it. What I hate about dark treasures is they¡¯re careful to choose the right demons, the ice hear for the cold Sakura and the dark night for the dark hearted Rika, both unwilling to fall for males which makes things harder for us¡± Said Koenma tiredly.
¡°How in 7 hells are we suppose to find the 2 males?¡± asked Yusuke
¡°Well, they can choose any male but just have to make sure he doesn¡¯t use the jewel for evil. So we could make this easy if you could just make one of them fall for you.¡± Koenma teased.
¡°Yeah and Keiko will have his head before he has a chance to blow off any of the worlds.¡± Kuwabara laughed at him.
¡°That¡¯s a load of crap Koenma, we¡¯re suppose to help 2 demons fall in love so the world don¡¯t get destroyed. We¡¯re detectives not match makers.¡±
¡°Mate, Yusuke, mate.¡± Koenma corrected ¡°that¡¯s the problem, in order for the male to cleanse or darken the jewel, he has to mate with the female first. You know what that means?¡±
A light bulb went on in Kuwabara¡¯s head as he turned smiling schemingly at Hiei.
¡°Hey short stuff, didn¡¯t you say earlier that you want to possess those jewels? All you have to do is make the girls your mate and you¡¯d have the whole world at you mercy.¡±
Everyone in the room tries to keep a straight face while remembering Hiei telling Sakura to ¡°Give¡± him the treasures. Hiei sheaths his sword and points it at Kuwabara.
¡°I¡¯ll make sure you don¡¯t live to see it.¡±
¡°Why¡¯re you all shy for? Oh I get it, you never had a girl friend much less a mate.¡± Kuwabara said grinning from ear to ear.
¡°Neither did you Kuwabara.¡± Said Yusuke
¡°All right, get out of my office!¡±
After a bit more squabbling, the 4 boys went outside to join Rika and Sakura who seems to have reached an agreement to join their gang.
¡°Since we¡¯re going to be friends, why don¡¯t we forget about the fight and start over? I¡¯m Rika, please to meet you.¡±
Yusuke shook her hand ¡°Yusuke, the leader of this team.¡±
¡°Hey, who made you the boss?¡± Kuwabara asked
¡°I did¡± said Yusuke proudly, and with that, they started fighting...again.
¡°Do they always fight like that?¡± Rika ask pointing at Yusuke and Kuwabara who how are trying to strangle each other.
¡°Pathetic.¡±Said both Sakura and Hiei at the same time. Kurama sweat dropped
¡°Don¡¯t worry about them, you¡¯ll get used to it soon.¡± He points over to Hiei
¡°This is Hiei and I¡¯m Kurama, glad to have you on the team.¡± They shook hands, Rika turned to the water demon
¡°Sakura, aren¡¯t you going to introduce yourself"
¡°Hmph¡± was her reply
¡®Sakura and Hiei are so alike they should be married.¡¯ Thought both Kuwabara and Yusuke, then they realized they were suppose to be fighting, and thus, they resume.
