Quote of the day: Can you make yourself love? Can you make yourself be loved? -Lena Kaligaris
“Class please welcome our new student, Hope Regada.” The teacher of Meiou High introduced me. “Hope please take a seat next to Shuichi. Shuichi please raise your hand so she knows who you are.” That was pointless, I already knew who he was but obviously the teacher didn't know that. I took my seat next to him with a smile and took out my notebook.
As lunch rolled around I found out one very important thing. I hate algebra! Too many numbers for my liking. Okay, now I am over reacting. I sat down next to Kurama when he invited me to sit with him. My book bag was killing my shoulder; I don't know how I was going to do this every day! I woke up at 6:00 just to get to school! My head fell to the table with an audible bang.
“Tired?” He chuckled then took a bite of his lunch. I just groaned and he took that as a `yes'. He seemed to find this a little bit amusing but I suppose that if I were in his place I'd be laughing. The teachers, so far, were pilling on homework and I was about to scream in frustration! I lifted my head long enough to eat some of my lunch otherwise my stomach would be protesting the rest of the day. I didn't need that happening thank you very much!
I took a look at what I had next period; it turned out to be gym class. I had taken 3 years of ballet, and it wasn't easy I'll tell ya that much! So how bad could it be? I heard Kurama struggling to keep his laughing under control. I looked at my lunch and saw what he was laughing about. I was trying to stick my meatloaf with my straw. I don't think I'll get any food in my mouth that way. Blushing, I took my fork, stabbed the meat, and ate it while keeping my embarrassment at a minimum.
I pulled down at the hem of my gym shirt which was white. My pants were short shorts that were red. I had pulled my hair into a pony tail before coming out to the gym room.
I spotted a group of girls in the corner; they had tied their already short shirts into a knot at the side so the shirt showed their mid-section. I rolled my eyes as their looks practically screamed CHEERLEADERS! I stood in the corner as I waited for the gym teacher to enter the room. This is what I always did; I always became a wall flower….or wall spot.
I saw one of the short shirt girls come over to me with a sickly sweet smile. She had mid-back black hair with blonde bangs. Her hazel eyes sparkled with arrogance.
“Hi, I'm Tanya are you new here?” She asked.
“Yeah, nice to meet you Tanya I'm Hope.” I didn't shake her pre-offered hand. Something in the back of my mind told me to steer clear of this girl. She put her hand down frowning slightly.
“Well Hope, let me tell you how things run here. Stay out of my way and stay away from Shuichi. He's mine.” I snorted.
“Ha, yours, that's a good one. He's not one to be claimed, he's a person not a thing.” I growled as I crossed my arms. She frowned deeply. It seems I had just made a new enemy.
“Watch your back girl.” She then walked away. I narrowed my eyes, that girl was trouble. Gym was a pain in the ass, but it wasn't as bad as it would have been if I hadn't of taken three years of ballet and one year of musical theatre and jazz.
Walking to the house after school, I just couldn't seem to be able to call it `home' yet, I felt like simply dropping my bag. It weighed a ton, I swear it did! Kurama caught up with me after getting held up. I noticed that he took longer strides to keep up with me. That was an odd thing about me; my strides were longer and quicker then most. Funny thing was that it did that naturally I didn't even have to try!
The reason I was in a quicker rush than normal was to get away from Tanya, she was quickly becoming a thorn in my side! I had been avoiding her all day, I had a feeling that something bad would happen the next time I ran into her.
My part of the table was littered with homework; the same was for the rest of the table where the others were working on their own homework. Spelling and Grammar was easy, I tapped my pencil on my head as I was trying to figure out my math homework. Did I mention that I HATE math? A spare piece of paper I had been using for that one problem was full; no matter what I tried I just couldn't get it!
