AnimeFox1940: Hi! I’m new to this, so please, no flames! I’ve been working on this story for a while though, but my other computer broke down, thus I lost all my chapters. It sucks. ^-^ Hope you like! Oh, and disclaimer: I do NOT own Yu Yu Hakusho, but oh, how I want to. I only own Kena, and other characters you haven’t heard of on the series!
‘blah’= thinking
“blah”=talking

"Koenma! When can I leave this place? The stupid demon obviously isn't coming. Not only that, but I have school tomorrow!" A very irritated, teenage girl said to a very frustrated Baby Prince, over a two-way device that let her see his face, and let them communicate, all packed into one small little watch.
"Kena, I've already told you, you have to wait! It's not as though he was to just come when ever you wanted him to! That's not how it works!" He screamed back, tried of always getting into arguments with her.
Kena let out an exasperated groan, hating her job and cursing her boss. "I hate you for this! This is all your fault." She grumbled back, glaring at him.
Koenma opened his mouth to say something when Kena closed the watch quickly, cutting him off before he could speak. She groaned again, "Stupid." She muttered under her breath, crossing her arms over her chest in a desperate attempt to warm herself.
She was on a case, apparently. Not a normal one either. Today she had to catch a Neko thief. A neko that was and has been wanted by Spirit World. They had tried to catch him many more times than once, but he always seemed to sneak away. Always.
So, that's why they gave Kena the case. She was one of the top detectives, but she hated herself for that. She didn't even like being a Spirit Detective.
She had to basically live a second life, running after wanted demons, using up all the power she had, then on top of that, they expected her to go to school the next day? Then once school was over, go after more demons? Once you came right down to it, it sucked.
She shivered at the cold wind, then went over what she knew about this guy. He had been wanted for not only thief's, but murders over all these years. He was only a B-class demon, though. His name was Takahoshi. Well, at leas, that's the name they gave her.
She slouched down to the cold grass, and cursed it. ‘That’s the only bad thing about having fire powers,’ she started then sighed, ‘You get cold why too easily.’
She looked around in the clearing, there was nothing there, other than grass, then after a while trees, and herself. Her eyes then wandered to the other thing that was there.
Once her eyes found it, she just stared. It was the bait. It was what they thought would lure Takahoshi in. Too bad it wasn’t working.
It was a replicated artifact of some vase. Kena didn’t know the name, she just knew what the real one did. What it did was, when it was opened, it had a portal inside, that sent the victim straight to hell, without any judgment by The King Enma ones ever. But if you didn't want your victims to die so easily, it produced a poison vapor when opened, that if breathed in but anyone, then they would start bleeding from the in side out, and all of their vital organs would shut down, one by one.
The thought caused Kena to feel another shiver run down her spine. It was a truly evil artifact, indeed. But it looked innocent, well, kind of innocent. If you didn’t know anything about it, then you would think it was a normal vase. It was completely black, only the rim, side handles, and the ball on the top of the lid were gold.
‘But, any and every human-hating demon would be happy to get their nasty little claws on this. Well, at least the real one, that is.’ Kena thought, still staring. ’Takahoshi probably knows. He probably knows that this is just a replica, and he won’t let himself fall into such a pathetic trap.’
She aborted her eyes, only to look at the full, bright, silver moon looming over head. ‘A full moon...That’s bound to bring some kind of craziness.’ Kena thought, rolling her eyes, her thoughts found it’s way to her sisters, and their idiotic ways. She had 4 elder sisters, and all of them made fun of her for being the youngest. She sighed, fully knowing that tomorrow they would make her life a living hell, as they always did. They weren’t mean or anything, they were just....them.
But her thoughts disappeared and subsided as something urged her to look back. Back at the Vase.
It just sat there. There was still no one around. Kena looked, just in case, but saw no one. She looked away, but curiosity caused her to inch closer to the Vase.
Nothing happened. No one yelled at her. So she smiled and looked at it. “Hi.” she muttered crossly as she stuck out her hand and moved it closer to the Vase.
She just had to touch it. She didn’t know why, something was just tugging at her soul, and telling her to do so.
She was only about a centimeter away from touching it when a strong demonic aura quickly surrounded the Vase, causing it to shock Kena, and causing Kena to jerk back her hand and put her neglected finger in her mouth.
She stared at the Vase. It had reacted to her soul. To her own Aura.
‘That’s funny....They don’t...Replica’s don’t do that....Only...’ Kena cut her thought short, staring at the Vase. ‘Only real ones do!’ a voice scream in her head, causing total realization.
“Only real ones can do that.” She repeated numbly in a whisper. “I....Hate...Koenma.” She then said.
‘How could he do something like this?! In trust something of this great power to ME?! I hate him! I hate him!’ Her mind screamed out viscously. She calmed herself. She had to find her center. She had just activated the Aura to this thing, and that mean that now, it’s on the Demon radar. They can now feel it too. And that will attract them.
‘I have to protect this thing.’ She thought moving closer to it, feeling its evil aura. She could just feel all the people it had once killed. They seemed to scream out to her. ‘If this thing were to open...then other people would die. A lot of other people.’ She noted.
That’s when the wind decided to push forward, trashing out against the entire earth. She let out a small scream and dove to catch the Vase. She hugged it close to herself as the wind ruffled her dark brown hair. ’I hate wind now.’ Her mind told her.
She just gripped tighter, knowing that the world was now in her hands. The realization hitting her like a rock. “Is being a normal teenager too much to ask for nowadays?!” She asked herself once the violent wind had stopped crushing against her.
She sighed, and then that’s when she felt it.
Another demonic aura. It was coming her way, and not too slowly either.
“Oh crap.” She muttered, getting in front of the Vase, standing in the direction she felt the Aura coming from.
She quickly built a bow surrounded in fire, in her left hand, along with a burning quiver with several arrows as well.
Kena braced herself. Bushes moved, trees rustled, twigs popped and snapped, and the wind blew fiercely as this intruder came forward.
He then stepped out.
Kena stared. It was someone, but it wasn’t who she so excepted.
